Alot of essential are missing from the default “essentials” toolbar. Spent about 10 mins customizing everything and scratching my head as to why things were even changed at all.Is there a way just to just have everything on the tool bar at in one step? I’ll choose what tools to use..Do the people setting presets at Adobe even use the software?

1. When will the next version of Photoshop be released after updating to 27.5?2. Why is there no date in Settings > Installed Apps after successfully updating to 27.5?

Just furthering discussions that I have seen in the questions section of Adobe Photoshop ecosystem community (and assuming in the bug related community), but there are multiple issues (which are just sort of haphazard and random) with the latest photoshop update and macOS Tahoe 26.4.1.  There have been instances where Photoshop will freeze (which has occurred previously so possibly a RAM issue) - generally when using the crop tool, but the real issues are the white border that shows up around images, the problems with Blur Gallery things (like 3-4 layers, Trying to influence the background layer), the Quick Export As… not functioning properly (it’ll work sometimes, but sometimes I’ll click and nothing will show up). There are many more, but owing to the large occurrence of these issues and their seemingly across photoshop nature, I don’t think it’s a bug in the sense that it is influenced by things being done, but rather a generalized problem with Facebook and Tahoe. Possibly Windows c

Hello, recently I have been organizing a batch of pictures, about 500 in total, all in PNG format, which takes up nearly 2GB of space. I heard that the WebP format can greatly reduce the file size, but the image quality is almost unchanged, so I want to convert these pictures to WebP format in batches. My computer is Windows 11, and I have tried several online png to webp conversion tools, but they can only convert a few pictures at a time, which is too inefficient. Is there any recommended desktop software or method that can convert these 500+ PNG to WebP at one time? It would be best if it supports batch processing and has a faster conversion speed. I have a PS file that has text that I converted to a shape, plus another shape. I want to convert that to an SVG file, but, when I use the Explort As dialog, the only export file options are GIF, PNG and JPG. If I do Save As, the only options are Photoshop, Large Document Format, Photoshop PDF, and TIFF.    I searched the help system, there's nothing there that I can find. Did they remove SVG export from Photoshop?? I sure hope not. I have Photoshop 22.4.3.

I work a lot with layers, plugins, and now adding generative AI to my workflow. What am I doing wrong? I import an object as a linked object, and I want to scale it using numbers, not handle dragging. I look in the  Properties palette, but the W and H fields are not available. Why am I having to post a question about this?... 

Googling has not helped and, while there is one post in the Adobe Community that presents EXACTLY my same issue, there was no assistance provided (link: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/adobe-crash-processor-exe-doesn-t-stop-after-i-exit-photoshop-and-it-locks-up-my-files-and-or-folder/m-p/14306961) Every time I close Photoshop, I am unable to move or delete the file that I just closed. When I run PowerToys' File Locksmith, I can see the file is locked by Adobe Crash Processor.EXE. I end the Adobe Crash Processor.EXE process and my file is unlocked and can be manipulated. This happens EVERY time I close photoshop, even after ensuring I am updated to the most recent version. Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you.

Hello! There seems to be something weird going on whenever I am zooming in or out of my canvas. These white outlines around the canvas just flash, are broken and appear randomly and it is super annoying to work with. Is there any way to turn them off? I am on a Macbook M1 Max 2021 and Tahoe 26.3.1 and Photoshop 27.5.0. These outlines seem broken so any help would be much appreciated! 

Photoshop doesn’t remember the Layers panel setting—each launch hides it, requiring manual reactivation via Window > Layers. Tried multiple fixes but nothing works. Any solution?

Is it normal with the new update, to not have anymore the options for the model?

In the photoshop print dialog box I have a very long list of profiles, most of which I never use. Is there a way to cut down on the number of profiles that I see there and have to scroll through? Do I have to find and delete the ones I will probably never use, or can I move them to another folder to get them out of the way?

 Why does an image pixelate so much when I place it in a smaller-sized image using Photoshop 2026? How do I prevent that from happening? 

After the last update 27.4, Photoshop freezes when trying to change the size or hardness of the brush. It only helped to switch back to the previous version 27.3.1 There are no errors when the program freezes, and if you minimize the application and expand it, it will restore. But the brush settings won't change, and if you try to change them again, Photoshop freezes again.

Last week, Gen Ai using firefly was fine. This week it is not considering the subject when using the prompt. Support was no help.  This morning I tried to remove a white cord laying against a cream colored wall. I selected the area around it and first tried no prompt. It gave me a green sword instead .  I then tried cream colored wall . It gave me three more green swords.  Remove worked on this but not others. I find the remove in LR to be better.  What I really need it for is an action I’ve built that helps me paint out digital paintings. I make several layers with different channels and it builds different versions of the image. I then mask away the parts I like. In the screen shot you can see what it looks like as the final version in the past, what the little girl should look like, how the newest version of firefly handles the same prompt, and then how it looks when I revert back to firefly image 3 . Still not as good as it was. 

Photoshop v 27.5 crashes due to an “unexpected error” every time a document is opened. It doesn’t matter how the document is accessed, whether from the “open” option on the top bar, the document itself on a hardrive, or on the homescreen of the app. Opening a new file works fine.

On Photoshop 27.3.1, document.duplicate() returns a readable handle; on Photoshop 27.5.0, the same plugin/build and same source document returned handle is unreadable (The document with an id of undefined does not exist.).

For years I've been working with a regular RGB/32bit Photoshop document with an Output Transform Color Lookup adjustment layer, and then an Inverse_sRGB Colour Lookup adjustment layer for compositing V-Ray ACEScg renders. This was due to Photoshop not using OCIO natively. This set up has worked perfectly for years but is now broken. Example of the correct colours here:  This is with using ACES Config 1.2. With the latest release of Photoshop the Inverse sRGB adjustment layer now converts overbright pixels to weird colours (hot pinks, reds, or turquoises).Now that Photoshop can create OCIO documents I've just tried dragging my layers from the regular PSD to the OCIO version. I've hidden my colour transform layers and the render looks identical to the non-OCIO document. However, when I go to File > Export > Export PNG the colours are thrown off and it way too saturated. How can I get Photoshop to either stop throwing the colours way off in the standard PSD document,

I’m working on a 24x36 layered file in photoshop. I need to change my canvas size but every time I hit the canvas size in the menu I get this error: Drover error in ok_cancel_dialog:You must override UI_Node::measureFile: layout descriptionLine 00010: sub_layout(name: "content");char 00000: ^^^I’ve tried to make sure my photoshop is up to date. I’ve tried turning on and off each layer. I’ve opened brand new files and I am getting the same error. I’ve tried to unlock the background or even delete it and just leave an empty layer and I still can’t change the canvas size. I’m not using artboards. Photoshop gives me a learn how to fix button that takes me to errors when saving a document, which is not a problem for me. Any fixes are helpful as I’ve only got a few days to get this file out.

I’m having the this issue for more than a week. I’ve installed and reinstalled both older (2024) versions and the updated Photoshop 2025, changed the Mac settings, etc., but nothing worked. Honestly, it’s such a headache, and there’s no way to get a response from a support advisor to help with this. It’s really frustrating.
