I'm getting back into photography after a hiatus of several years.  I'm still using Lightroom 6 and would like to use Elements 11 which was previously on a Windows 7 PC.  I've notices several posts that indicated potential problems with windows 11. I'd greatly appreciate your thoughts, experience, and opinions whether Elements 11 will run successfully on a laptop with Windows 11. Thanks and I hope you have a good week!Tony in SC

Have recently loaded my pictures folders and a PSE Version 8 catalog from an EHD onto a new Windows PC using PSE 2025. Everything seems to have gone well except that whilst I can see my pictures by folder in "List" mode when trying to find them in "Tree" mode nothing appears. I have checked the folder locations on the Desktop and used these in "Tree " mode, but without success. When reloading the catalog and converting to PSE 2025, I recall ticking a box to "retain the original folder structure". Is this the problem, and if so how do I resolve without starting again?

We are stuck and cannot activate Photoshop Elements 2024 after purchasing a license. My company's IT purchased Photoshop Elements 2024 for me as a standalone license. I can see the serial number (or registration key) in my "products" in the adobe account (web). However, we cannot log-in / activate the PSE 2024 product after installation.-- We do not see a prompt to activate the license during installation.-- When loading PSE 2024--it's asking us to log into Adobe Account, but we get stuck in "Update Browser" screen. Super frustration--as we have spent hours on this. Including uninstalling and re-installing and re-downloading the exe file.... Windows is up-to-date (including restarting), Chrome (default browser) is up-to-date, and Edge is up-to-date. Anyone with thoughts? Note: We do have Adobe Creative Cloud on this computer and have Adobe Acrobat Pro / Adobe for Teams. Good morning, I have Elements 2021 on a Windows 10 PC. I switched on OneDrive backup for Pictures, and this resulted in my photos moving from folders starting with C:\Users\Martin\Pictures to folders starting with C:\Users\Martin\OneDrive\Pictures - so each time I open a photo Elements Organiser searches for the missing file. My 60,000 photos are in over 3,600 libraries. What is the best way for me to update Elements to find the photos in their OneDrive folder? Thank-you, and best regards,Martin.

How to get the classic pinup style look for portraits?

Have recently imported my pictures and an old PSE Version 8 catalog onto a new PC using PSE 2025. When importing the pictures into PSE 2025 I opted to also import the associated Keyword Tags. However when restoring the old catalog all of the associated tagging info appears to have been restored correctly and I want to delete the "Imported Keyword Tags". Can I do this without effecting any of the tagging imported with the old catalog?

I'm upgrading from PSE 2018 to PSE 2025 and my first transfer of photos into organizer has resulted in all photos being connected together. I want photos to be physically separate with space between them as was done in prior versions.  Also, I'm looking for a PSE 2025 users manual, PDF or equivalent, does such exist?

Hello all.my topic is to import JPG + RAW as version set ("Stapel") in Photoshop Elements (PSE) Organizer 2024 under Windows 11.Menu: PSE Organizer / Import / From Camera or Card reader / Option: Automatic version set of JPG and RAWSince version 2024 PSE then shows RAW (or NEF) and hides JPG. In former versions of PSE JPG was shown and RAW was in the background. This is what I need.How to show JPG automatically in version sets ("Stapel") in PSE 2024 / 2025 and future versions ?I have to import about 2.000 photos and need an automatic workflow as in former versions of PSE. Can you provide an option in PSE Organizer to select JPG or RAW on top of version sets for all photos ? Thank you for any advice and hints.Volker

I have been using Photoshop Premiere Elements for several years and I have been using PSE 2025 for several months with little to no issues, then I started receiving an error message "Camera RAW requires GPU acceleration to open photos". It will open the file, but I do not get the ACR screen to make adjustments.I have deleted and reinstalled both PSE 2023, 2025 and Camera RAW from the Adobe site.PSE 2023 works just fine and will open RAW files in the appropriate window and allows adjustments.I also reset my Nividia GPU using the Nividia utility.Help!

I recently purchased PSE 2025 to copy pictures to a DVD for permanent storage. I had been using PSE 15 for that purpose but it is not compatible with Windows 11 which is on my new computer.The option to copy to a removable drive is in the dropdown file menu but simply doesn't work. i called tech support and they tell me that copy to a removable drive simply doesn't work with the latest version of Windows.Anyone else have this problem and does anyone know if there is a fix?

I am having trouble with Catalogs in PSE 2024. If I create a new catalog it seems to work OK,  but if I log out of PSE then open it again, the new catalog is immediately populated with photos from my other catalogs. I turned off the sync options. Because all my photos are now in all my catalogs it seems to make the whole concept of catalogs useless.  Is anyone else experiencing this issue?  Any ideas on how to fix it?

I've been using PS Elements 2022 for a couple of years now. I signed on yesterday and was asked to reset my credentials and enter my activation code.  I can't find my numbers on the app because I can't access it. What gives?

I am going to delete Photoshop Elements completely because I cannot, after hours of searching, figure out how and why  it stores the images I import from my dslr.  I set up the photo storage folder in preferences when I purchase this software.  Now I find that most of these photos are stored on my OneDrive and I have no more cloud storage space. I am no photoshop expert, but I am an accomplished computer user.  Also, I find PE doing "creations" even after I spent considerable time figuring out how to turn that "feature" off!I am very confused by this program to the point where I can't use it anymore.  Paid my license fee!  Can't find where my stuff is and don't understand why  it seems to ignore my file preferences.Could I be responsible for this mess?  Yes!   I assumed that I could use it without difficulty.  I hope you will excuse this rant, but I am at the end of my rope.  Bob from Corvallis, Oregon

I previously had Elements 2020 installed on my PC with the photos stored on an external hard drive due to limited storage space on the PC's hard drive. I purchased a new PC with much more storage, upgraded to Elements 2025 seemingly successfully and then tried to load the photos on the external drive into Elements 2025. Now my files in the Organizer are a mess. When I open the Organizer there is always a photo thumbnail grid (always the same one) even if I do not open one of the files. And my Albums have disappeared. My files are scattered and if I open a file often the .Orf thumbnails show a ? and if I click on them the program says they are missing and then finds the file. What should I do?

Hi. The Windows changeover from Windows 10 to Windows 11 is forcing me to get a new computer. How can I keep my Photoshop Elements 2019 in the process of switching computers? Thanks.

I just bought and installed Elements 2025. The organizer works fine, and I converted all my catalogs andreconnected my media. But now when I "Edit with Photoshop ElementsEditor" or launch the editor in any way, it does nothing. It didlaunch successfully a few times earlier, but now it will not. Sometimes I getthe message "Loading Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor Workspace" but ithangs there for about a minute and then disappears. Is there a log somewhere I can use to troubleshoot?Newer Asus Zenbook, 16 GB RAM, 8.7GB in useWindows 11

  

On Photoshop Elements install I get error (MSVCP120.dll was not found) even after install of VC_redist.x86.exe and VC_redist.x64.exe. I can find multiple instance of msvcp120.dll on my Windows 11 Enterprise x64-based computer using Search.

I have until now used PS Elements ver. 12 editor and Organizer on Windows 10. I have made a catalog backup and tried to restore this backup on my new Mac Mini and PS Elements 2025.The restore stops in the middle of the restore process with the following error message. Error encountered while restoring. It is recommended that you contact your disc drive manufacturer and upgrade to the latest available firmware for your specific disc drive before trying again. I am not aware of any firmware update possibilities. I have tried with three different harddiscs, The internal harddisc in the mac and two different external harddiscs. I have tried to restore both ways between all discs, with the same result. Can anyboddy help. Best regardsGert Munch

I have been using Elements 9 for several years, initially installed on a PC which I replaced after a few years.  The hard drive of that PC was wiped. I installed PSE 9 on my new PC and used it for a number of years. I recently reset that PC to factory settings (without first deactivating PSE 9 - in hindsight clearly a mistake on my part). Now I cannot use PSE 9 because Adobe's records show that it is already activated on two computers. It is not currently activated on any computers.  I contacted Adobe help via chat.  90 minutes later the result was that they couldn't help.  On multiple occasions they said I must first deactivate it from one of the PCs, despite being told that that would be impossible. Their suggestion was to contact the forum for help with a "work-around".  I fail to see what sort of work-around could possibly allow me to reactivate PSE 9.  However I am happy to be proven wrong if someone here can help.  

PSE 2025 was woking fine until this morning. Windows 11 system on Surface Pro 9.Now the cursor goes haywire when I try to use any tool. Can't even crop. Tried both track pad and surface pen and still no control. The cursor, pen, whatever makes the tool jump all over the page. Been using many incarnations of PSE for years. It even still worked after the most recent  Windows update. Nothing else has changed system-wise. No new programs. PSE 2025 just stopped working properly. Thanks for any diagnosis and new ideas how to solve this. Have tried everything I've found on this website and nothing works. Thanks very much. 

I am struggling with PSE 2024.  I created a new catalog for a separate group of photos but it was immediately populated with photos from my original catalog which were apparently stored in the cloud.  How can I stop this annoying behaviour?  I tried unchecking the auto-sync boxes but to no avail.  Obviously if I create separate catalogs it is precisely because I want to keep the photos separate, not mingled in with all the others.Does anyone have any suggestions to help me get rid of all cloud connections with PSE 2024? (Things were much simpler with PSE9 before the cloud was invented!)CheersRobert
