I keep video files on an external HDD.Something happened (I guess with Windows) and the index on the disk was corrupted. Several folders disappeared from the index, but recovery software found the files, which I offloaded so that I could work on them.If I play the video file on the PC with Media Player Classic, it plays without issues, but when I try and edit it in Premiere, it has numerous single frame glitches - either a green screen or a random frame from another part of the video.Has anyone else encountered this and, if so, how did you resolve it.The files are MP4, 1080P, 50fps.Thanks in advance.

I have a project I’ve been working on for a long time. It’s a static shot of a person in the frame. I don’t change the project template (I leave the music, transitions, color, and sound effects as they are).  I only change the still footage files. I used to render the project in 5 minutes; now it takes 25. I started investigating and realized that the transition file was slowing down the render by 300%. The file itself is short—a standard 1920x1080 MOV file lasting 3 seconds. I cleared the cache, updated to the latest version of Premiere, tried creating a new project, and experimented with different render settings—nothing helped. A file that had been working stably for many months has now started to slow down the render time. Why is this happening? What did Premiere do to this file? How can such a short file slow down the render time so much? This must be a bug on the developers' part.

Some of my footage in the source and program file is corrupted and looks static when played.I've tried deleting all media cache, made sure than my video rendering settings are Mercury Playback engine GPS acceleration and also deleting and reimporting the footage.For the footage I have also used VLC to convert into mp4.ASUS zenbook 14Intel 9Integrated arc graphics card

I updated and restarted everything I could update and restart. just an endless wait.  This error rarely occurs, but it does happen     

Hi,I imported audio files and made new caption. It automatically generated transcript as well.After that, I changed script to text-based editing.However, even before and after the change, I cannot delete transcript.I wanted to delete it so that the audio file is cut automatically and I dont have to trim it by myself.Delete button is active, not greyed out, but even tho I click it, it is not deleted.What should I do? 

I’ve seen older posts that raise this question. Is there a way to fix this issue before post?There should be a way for the USB mic to be synced with the webcam video so the source MOV file (which merges the USB audio source + webcam video) will be in proper sync when viewing it in QuickTime Player.If not, is there a way for Premiere to automatically correct this issue by shifting the audio track over by four frames so we don’t have to do it manually on each clip?Attached are two screen shots showing how the clapboard (slate) sound is off by four frames from the audio spike it generates. Audio track shows spike indicating the “clap” soundSlate closes four frames after the sound Video format: H.264, 4K, 30fps,  Audio format: MP4, AAC, 48000 Hz Camera: Insta360m Link 2 4K webcam Mic: Audio-Technica AT2020 USB 

Having eliminated the old titler in Premiere, which had an automation in the management of scrolling text (Horizontal or vertical) in the new title section, I cannot find the automation to scroll a text horizontally but only vertically, unless don't use keyframes. Is there any automation in the new title generator or has it been eliminated entirely? 

Hi, I don’t have the option to download the previous version (2023) through the Creative Cloud. How can I download it, or where can I find a direct link to install it instead of using the Creative Cloud app? Thanks

Hello Everyone,   After speaking with an adobe agent requesting for a download link for adobe premiere pro 2020, they said they dont have that version (which seems odd to me) and that someone from the community here could supply me a direct download link. Hey all,Is there a way to shift an entire track up or down placing them in the order or arrangement you want? I want to be able to grab V1 and move it to where V3 is, so that it's above the other footage on V2.Or grab A6 and pull it up to A2, Making old A6 now A2, and previous A2 is now A3. Curently (as far as I know) you have to highlight all the clips on the track and bump them up when highlighted.2 problems accure, if you bump up and land on the track above it will overwrite the clips above, or if you unlink the audio video you may misalign sound from video. How is this not a feature? When I started out 15 years ago with Sony Vegas, it was available. 15 years later I still can't do that in Premiere, or am I missing something?    

Recently switched to a new Mac Book Pro which forced me into running Tahoe.  I’m having issues with Premier Pro 26.5.0 and Tahoe 26.6.2.The first issue is the timeline.   When I click and drag at on the slider at the bottom of the timeline, it changes the timeline from the zoomed in portion I was working on to the full timeline automatically.   It seems to be the holding the mouse that is causing this behavior, if I hold too long, it auto zooms out.   But I can’t figure out how to turn off this annoying problem.  Not sure if this is a new setting in Premier or a Mac issue. The second problem is in the timeline itself.   When I’m working on a clip, Premier now changes which clip is highlighted as I move through the clip.  This has caused serious issues, as I have performed edits to the wrong clip because it changed which clip I was working on without me noticing.  I do something as simple as create a keyframe on a clip, and the next thing I know, I’m now working on a completely differen

I need to view the main Sequence in the Program (or other) monitor while making adjustments to the Nested sequence referenced in the main sequence. When I click on the Nested sequence, the program monitor (naturally) switches back to that view. So I’m adjusting blindly. Seems like a common use case with no apparent solution. Please help!

i currently use DaVinci Resolve and have started learning Adobe Premiere Pro. One thing I really like about Resolve is its dedicated Color page. It gives you a separate workspace for things like primary and secondary corrections, nodes, scopes, masks, tracking, and creative looks.I know Premiere Pro has Lumetri Color and a dedicated Color workspace but i want to know how is it compared to resolve? How Premiere’s color workflow differs from Resolve’s node-based workflow How you would approach primary correction, shot matching, and secondary corrections When to use scopes, LUTs, masks, tracking, and adjustment layers Which concepts from Resolve transfer directly to Premiere and which ones work completely differently I’m mainly looking for an explanation of how and why you would approach the workflow, rather than just a list of features.Also, if you know some good tutorials, then it would make my day to be honest. Hi,I’m experiencing a blocking issue in Premiere Pro 2026: the mask outline is completely invisible in the Program Monitor. The mask itself works, but the outline/path is not visible at all.I’ve already tried the following: Turned Rulers OFF (Ctrl + R) Made sure Overlays are enabled Changed Program Monitor zoom and panel size Switched to Object/Shape Mask tool from the toolbar System: Premiere Pro: 2026 OS: Windows 11 GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4070 SUPER Drivers: latest NVIDIA Game drivers This bug is incredibly frustrating and breaks basic masking workflows. Is there any way to disable or uninstall just this new masking feature in Premiere Pro 2026 and revert to the previous mask behavior? Right now this new system is unusable for me.I also tested this on two other computers with similar specs and older NVIDIA (studio) drivers, and the mask outline is still not visible on any of them. The issue is reproducible across different machines. 

Premiere pro shows log footage with a REC709 conversion, and clips I have already graded on DV appear darker than what they really are. This didn’t happen with previous versions of the program. How can I revert this? I have searched before for answers on the internet, but it didn’t solve the issue.

Hello,I'm encountering a problem it seems several others have faced, but the solutions that were recommended don't seem to help me. I had imported a wav file into Audition to edit. Once my edits were complete, I exported the mix down file and then imported it into my Premiere video project. The audio sounds very "tinny" and there's a high-pitched ringing. Figured it was my export settings. Tried again, same result. After several failed attempts, I tried opening the file in After Effects, the audio sounds as it did in Audition with my edits. Same thing when I play the audio using iTunes. So then I tried clicking on the audio file in Premiere and selected "Replace with Audition Comp" and low and behold the ringing and tinniness are gone. But as soon as I go back to Premiere, it sounds like garbage again. My co-worker tried importing the same audio file into their Premiere project, no issue, it sounds as it should. The Fast Blur effect crops the image, and it sticks to the edge. The Scale mode behaves very strangely in this case; it moves the frame all over the place, left and right. 

Has anybody experienced this very bizarre problem with Premiere Pro CC 2015.0.2? (I'm using Mac OS X 10.10.5.)Several times per day while working with Premiere Pro, the "linked selection" option randomly stops working. The only solution that I have found for this is to completely quit & relaunch Premiere Pro... but then the problem comes back a little while later.The problem is this: Even though the "Linked Selection" option is selected for my timeline, if I click on a video clip, the linked audio clip DOES NOT automatically select with it! If I click on an audio clip, the linked video clip DOES NOT automatically select with it! Even if I hold down the option key, the video & audio clips will not select together. This happens for ALL THE CLIPS IN THE ENTIRE SEQUENCE! Hello,I am currently trying to create a plugin for Premiere Pro, and I would like to know if it is possible to retrieve the name of an effect preset (.prfpset) that has been applied to an element.I have the impression that there is nothing in CEP or the Premiere Pro API that allows me to retrieve this information.Is there any way to get the name of the preset that was applied to an element?I know that a preset can contain transformations or multiple effect parameters, but I am specifically talking about the name of the preset itself, not the effects or parameters it contains.It seems to me that this might not be possible through the current API, but I would like to know if there is any method or workaround that could allow a plugin to retrieve the name of an applied preset.Thank you in advance for your help!
