I am editing for broadcast and our output format is 1080i HD (Sony XDCAM).We try to capture in best quality to be able to reframe later, so we shoot in UHD 50p.Now I put all my footage in this interlaced timeline (XDCAM preset from adobe) - and ist stuttering like crazy in the viewer window and on the output of my blackmagic ultrastudio 3g. So it must be converted to 25p or PSF in playback.I can ONLY see it in "true" 50i if i render proxies and select then - then the output to my BM ultrastudio is 50i, the viewer window remains stuttering. Is there any workflow? What do you recommend? Working in 50p all the time?
Hello Adobe Community,I'm working with Premiere Pro 25.3.0 and looking for efficient ways to handle auto color correction in fast broadcast workflows. I have two related questions about separating luminance and chroma corrections. The ChallengeAuto Color in Premiere Pro applies corrections to both luminance (exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows) and chroma (temperature, tint) simultaneously. For interview footage and multi-shot sequences, this creates consistency issues where Auto Color applies different temperature/tint values to essentially identical shots, causing faces to "turn orange or green" between cuts. What I'm Looking ForOption 1: Exposure-Only Auto CorrectionIs there any way to make Auto Color affect only brightness/exposure parameters and leave color temperature/tint untouched? Similar to AVID's auto exposure correction that doesn't touch color balance?Option 2: Batch Remove Chroma CorrectionsIf that's not possible, is there an efficient way
Is there no way to change playback speed when listening or watching on mobile? Also, this little gear icon does nothing. Same result on Firefox and Chrome on latest Android.

Hi everyone,I'm experiencing a frustrating issue with Warp Stabilizer in Premiere Pro and hoping someone has found a reliable workaround. The ProblemWhen I apply Warp Stabilizer to progressive footage placed in an interlaced timeline, it introduces severe jitter that makes the footage unusable. The stabilization works fine when I use a progressive timeline, but my workflow requires an interlaced timeline for final delivery.Current Workaround (Too Cumbersome)Right now, I have to:Create a separate progressive timelineApply Warp Stabilizer thereExport the stabilized footageRe-import it into my interlaced timeline This workflow is extremely time-consuming, especially when dealing with multiple clips that need stabilization. What I've TriedDifferent Warp Stabilizer settings (method, smoothness, etc.)Various export codecs for the workaroundAdjusting field order settingsSystem InfoAdobe Premiere Pro 25.3.0Progressive source footage (usually 50p 1080p/4K)Interlaced timeline required for bro
reposted from previous forum Transparent Video Clips suddenly started behaving differently in PPro 2023. I used to be able to duplicate and use duplicates in a timeline and each clip used to be a separate distinct clip with it's own name and characteristics (which did not appear in a project). This behaviour was similar to titles clips Now, suddenly all have started behaving as if they are are instances of a master clip - change one name and it renames all instances. Select one in the timeline and choose "rename clip" and it highlights the clip in the project (rather than giving a rename dialog). This is new behaviour.Where can I get information on when this was changed and how? R.
As its not possible to copy the color corrections in premiere with a simple shortcut, I thought I could give auto color a try to speed up grading in very fast workflows (daily broadcast). To test it out I just added the LUT on the creative-page so it does not blow out my highlights and then added the auto color to ALL of my shots. It lowers the blacks to 0 and extends the highlights so I could work with it just to add enough contrast BUT it also changes temperature and tint - and it does very inconsistently. When I have a talking head interview it adds a completely different temperature and tint on the first shot than on the second one - which is essentially just a crop-in from the same shot. So suddenly the face turns orage or green. Is there a way to tell it that those shots belong together like in other applications as colourlab.ai - or can I somehow make autocolor just affect brightness and leave colour untouched?
Hello Adobe team,I wanted to bring attention to a glitch I've encountered when working with Chinese text in Premiere Pro. Specifically, when inserting Chinese "Pinyin," the alphabet behind the Chinese characters gets duplicated, which is quite bothersome.I reached out to customer service regarding this issue and received assistance. Despite several hours of troubleshooting, the team was unable to determine the root cause. However, they suggested a temporary solution by downgrading to Premiere Pro 2023.It seems that the glitch may be specific to the Premiere Pro 2024 version, as downgrading resolved the problem. I'm hopeful that the Adobe team can investigate and address this issue promptly.Thank you for your attention to this matter.
I know this is an issue for a while now - but why?
I updated Preimer recently but this started to happen before I updated last week. I'll start editing and the audio will keep going but not the video. I'll stop and try to move to a different spot in my edit and see if it will relink itself then it will crash. I've tried taking off apps on my computer to help the run speed and other programs that I'm not using but nothing seems to work. Before this happened It was running fine and had no issues. My computer has 8gs of Ram and I'm not able to charge while editing or it will crash. I've had the program for almost 5 years and when I need a new computer I will get more Ram but for right now that isn't my problem. I've also uninstalled the program and installed it, and moved to a new project still crashing. I tried looking for a number to call but found this community instead, would love some help to fix this probelm. Thank you.
An odd thing is happening to my projects since upgrading to Premiere Pro 2017: the project panel always displays in Icon view. In previous versions, it would keep the last view you had of the Project Panel. As I prefer list view because it's less clicks and can display the entire contents of folders and sub folders, it would be nice to have this back to previous behavior (either set as a preference or remembering it after changing it). It's a small thing, but I find I'm doing it every time and it's not making my use of the program better than what it was, so wanted to see if I was missing something and there was a preference setting I could set to keep it in list view. Thanks all.

We make documentaries and docuseries for streaming and theatrical. We shoot UHD (3840 x 2160). I make our dailies stringouts UHD. However, during our pitch process, our sizzle reels are 1080. Should we make our edit sequences 1080? Or should we make our edit sequences UHD? Ex. If our edit sequence is 1080, then our footage is resized to 50%. If we push in to 75%, we aren't losing any quality. However, if our edit sequence was 2160, and we pushed in on the same shot (to 150%), then exported to 1080, would the shot have a loss in quality because we pushed in to 150%? Or would it look identical to an export from the 1080 sequence?
HDR is of course 'high dynamic range'. But the big gains from an HDR workflow are not actually just a brighter image. There are two main gains for well-graded HDR content: a far more colorful overall image, especially in bright areas, and ... better, "deeper" shadows, with far more detail and gradations. But to get those in your image reliably takes a monitor that shows you what you're actually getting. So how do we go about getting a decent HDR monitor setup right now within Premiere Pro? Well ... you had to be expecting this! ... it ... depends. On a lot of things. How serious are you, is as always, the first question. The Quick Answer with ... potential issues. The 2022 version of Premiere Pro does allow us to simply set a monitor to its HDR settings and see an HDR-ish (at least) version of the image on that screen. You don't have to have the BlackMagic or AJA output device simply to get HDR onto a screen. To just "play" with HDR work, or
I am making carousels with images of people and their names beside their faces as a title graphic. When I zoom in on their face, the title graphic travels on-screen.So, I nest the image and title. When I zoom in, the title stays in the same relation to the image – but gets larger. If the image is rotated, obviously, the nested title rotates as well.Is there a recognised solution – there must be, I feel.
I'm currently attempting to open an older project file. Whenever I open the file, it prompts me to convert the project. Once I convert it, I receive another pop-up saying Upgrade Legacy Titles; I click Ok and it shows me my sequence, but I have no access to the project files. Whenever I go to Window > Project > ProjectName.prproj, it gives me the alert: ERROR - Matrix Cannot Be Inverted. Could anyone help troubleshoot with me, please? Thanks! I don't know if this is a bug, or just user error:I edited one multicam sequence ("Part 1" 3 angles.)I added a brief exported mxf from a previous "episode" dragged from the project panel, that's being referenced like a flashback, to the first multicam sequence.I edited a second multicam sequence on its own timeline (Part 2, also 3 angles)When I add that second multicam (from the project panel) to the first plus the mxf file, the camera angle cuts in Part 2 are no longer discrete on the timeline. That is, that sequence displays the cuts on playback, but they are aren't selectable segments on the timeline, and the alternate angles that were in multicam view are gone, so multi view and program are the same image. Part 1 still displays and performs as expected.Lots of variables I suspect so I'm not sure where to start.edit: is this a source patching or track targeting issue? I'm ignorant about source patching for example, any tips for tutorials are also good.I do need to retain the individ
I've been doing a lot of testing of this the last couple days. They changed the 'default' behaviors in a couple ways, and it seems "broken" to many for conversions ... they convert, but the media is still VFR when checked in MediaInfo's "Tree" view. Why?On the video page of Handbrake, where you have the frame-rate drop-down selector and the CFR/VFR buttons, if you use the "suggested" setting for frame-rate of "Same as source" ... what you get is the same as the source ... and if that source is VFR, you get VFR output files, if you have the CFR box checked! From testing, if I use a VFR source, and the frame-speed shows say 30fps, and I don't set it to something specific myself ... I still get VFR media exported. So ... you need to both check the CFR box, AND manually set a frame-rate, to be sure of getting CFR media exported. Also, if you're using the basic setup which defaults to the Encoder Profile set to Main, typically your Mbps tops out at 21.1 Mbps. Setting that to High j
when i try to export my video the images are suddenly overexposed. In the editing part the images are good. Anyone an idea how to solve this? See pictures
Hi! I have been have trouble with Premiere Pro 2025 lately where the application freezes on the window with the artwork display and the rainbow disc keeps rotating. The issue has been persistent over the past couple of days. Tried launching the application in Safe Mode, during which the Delete Media Cache progress bar remains frozen. I use a Macbook Pro and the system is up to date. Also, have tried uninstalling and re-installing the application, installing an older version of the application, restarting the system etc., but have not been able to access the application. How do I proceed ahead, requeest for your insight into troubleshooting the issue.
its 2025, Space X can catch a returning booster. Chatgpt can write better than 98% of the human population. Do you think we could get a version of Premiere Pro that doesn't take two steps forward and one back - that actually seamlessly works from the get go...? 25. is just crashing all the time... Mod note: Your title was changed to reflect your issue and for search purposes. Please make a note of it. Sorry for the frustration.
I have a video track in Premiere CC 2017 that has a lot of split clips. I do not want to copy the effects to each clip, I would rather use a layer above it to affect the clips with Lumetri color correction. Is there some kind of track i can place above it so it links only to this track and does not affect my background track below it?I know (and apologize) this is a simple question that has probably been asked a thousand times but I have not been sure how to phrase (word wise) a search for this item.If you know of a tutorial video you can link me to explaining this I would greatly appreciate this. Thanks in advance peeps!.
Hi I am currently working in Pr25.3 and all of a sudden my project just froze. The tabs up top just go blank or white.Upon restarting i could get playback and scrolling but couldnt duplicate my sequence to start a new draft of my cut.I tried copying all the clips to paste on a new sequence and it just freezes. I tried to create a new project to drag all the folders over but the same thing happens in a new project.upon freezing the tabs on Premiere go blank or white.I have since updated the gpu driver, tried to start Premiere holding the Alt key and reset all all preferences, deleted cache but i cant seem to move my work over to a new project without the old project crashing.I have even rolled back to different versions.PC SpecsWindows 11 proIntel Ultra 9 285kMSI MEG z890 Godlike96gb RAMGTX 1060 6gb
