Hi!I recently upgraded to a Mac Studio and had to purchase a Blackmagic UltraStudio Mini Monitor 3G to run playback to a client monitor. Upon installing today, I immediately noticed that the playhead response in Premiere Pro lags about 6 frames when STOPPING the playhead (NOT STARTING). I double checked that I wasn't crazy, by toggling playback to the UltraStudio off and on. And when it is OFF, the playhead responds properly. Does anyone know what might be causing this lag? (And for the record, I did not have this problem when using the previous UltraStudio Mini Monitor. This just began today when I installed the 3G version.) Thanks!
HELP!All of Adobe's software works perfect on my 2020 M1 Mac Mini. I'm running big sur 11.5.1. I use the BlackMagic UltraStudio Monitor 3g (USM3g) for output through my SDI Flanders Scientific monitor. My USM3g device works with several apps, including After Effects. BUT... the latest version of Premiere (15.4.0) will not even SEE the USM3g device in video playback... but it DOES see the USM3g device in Audio Hardware. *** The only way I can get Premiere to see the USM3g device is if I use a previous version of the software... which of course is completely unacceptable since I have many projects built with the latest software version.*** NOTE: every time I open Premiere I am seeing an event warning: "A low-level exception occurred inL (Transmit::Startup) All permissions have been released to Premiere. I have reset preferences in Premiere and have even reinstalled premiere! Nothing is fixing this issue. &nbs
Good morning community I can't write the accented capital "a" on premiere pro: "À". When I try to copy it from the web and insert it on the screen it disappears and doesn't reappear even after rendering. The key combinations ALT181, ALT193, ALT142, ALT196 do not work either. Now I'm working with Garamon-Italic, and perhaps this "special" character wasn't included in the fonts I downloaded from the update package. Could anyone give me some advice or even send me a "safe" link along these lines.
I need to find a good way to finish my projects in Premiere in post: The whole project is whot in XAVCHS, which means H265 UHD 422 50p 10bit and I need to deliver 1080i 25i in the end. I need more quality for post production and be able to zoom in later. Last time I transcoded everything to Prores HQ UHD 50p but it takes up LOTS of TB SSD space and still has performance issues in the 25i hd timeline, so I was hoping I could work with proxies. So this time I created Prorex proxy UHD in Adobe itself and it kind of works, at least as long as original media is connected as well - Iast time when original media went offline part of the audio could not be relinked - I will try when the project is finshed. Now when the project is almost finished going back to originals is not an option - even on an apple M2 max with 32 gb of ram premiere is not able to playback prores proxy smoothly when downsampling from 50p uhd to 25i HD in the sequence. Thats an issue I havent had with any oth
I've tested this in PP 23.2, 23.1, and 23.0 all seem to have this same issue. I'm on a Macbook Pro M1 Max 32GB with my media on an external SSD that reports 2.5k+ MB/s when tested. I've closed all other apps to ensure it's not a memory issue. I don't see any large spikes on Activity Monitor when this happens. Here's a video of the issue: https://vimeo.com/800713336/dcb5b66d6e You can see that performance is fine as I scroll around the timeline and move clips but as soon as I trim a clip it lags big time and then every other action lags for a short time after. Steps to reproduce:1. Create a new project importing 4k footage.2. Create a new sequence. Mine happens to be 9:16 1080p sequence for IG Reels.3. Drag one of the 4k videos into the timeline.4. Attempt to trim the clip. I expect that PP doesn't lag when doing that. In actuality, it lags.
Don't know if this is a bug or user error.Basically I've roto'd some stuff in After Effects, and brought the rendered animation MOV files into Premiere. This has always worked well for my workflow. But on a recent project -- I've now figured out that if I leave Premiere and come back to the project -- that when I come back to PR, the roto files preview and render with these weird green and magenta halos around the subject. I've been re-rotoing and importing and for previous rounds of revisions -- this has been getting me through, but want to figure a more permanent solution to my problem. If I change the color space from Rec 709 to one of the other two -- the halos go away. (This also messes up the color correction ive done to multiple clips from multiple camera sources.)If I bring the MOV back into AE (and put a light background) behind the alphaless video -- the halos are not there. So this SEEMS like a PR interpreting the AE render in a weird way -- maybe with queued
Hi I am trying to do something that used to be very simple and the old Win10 VideoEditor did it very quickly and efficiently with no problems. Now I cannot find any tool that does this very simple task of animating a short time frame 5-30 seconds simulation animation clip from a series of TIFF image files produced by my dynamic simulation software. what am I missing with Premier Pro ? can't seem to make it happen.
I keyframed a zoom out on scale using the default motion but switched to transform(want that motion blur). Then it started zooming in and out from the top left instead of the middle. Anyone know how to address this issue??
Ok I know this question has come up multiple times. I use a lot of mixed frame rates, mostly 60fps, some 30fps & 24fps. I always interpret footage for every clip to 23.976. The footage looks smooth and crisp in slow motion like it's intentionally supposed to. I understand many people think this is not the correct way, especially when using proxies. I have intentionally not used proxies for this exact reason. However whenever I hire an editor they are use the speed/duration and it NEVER looks as good as using interpret footage. I'm very aware that 60fps on a 24fps timeline should be slowed to 40% using the speed/duration, however it does not look as good as interpret footage, ever. It looks choppy and terrible looking to my eye. I do not see the benefit in using speed/duration with the exception of using proxies and that's it. While I know this would significantly speed up my workflow the footage just does not look as good. Can anyone help me understand why you would use the speed/d
How can I remove or turn off this find button, It's taking space in my project window
I have created a simple animation where inside the nested sequence every frame moves making it a clear 60 fps animation but in the original timeline the animation movement happens every 3 arrow clicks. Can someone please help and guide me regarding this issue?
Why does Premiere Pro 25 keep conforming the same audio clip everytime i open the project? Everytime i open peremier pro projuct it conforms the same audio file no matter how many times it has been conformed before. Any ideas or solutions?
I'm trying to add a posterize time effect to tiny little clips in my premiere timeline, really only about 3 seconds long. There's nothing even really happening in the clips, it's just images zooming in and out so it shouldn't be that there's just too many complicated graphics/too many high res videos/images but as soon as I put one little posterize time effect on one of these small sections, premiere freezes, refuses to do anything and sometimes crashes. My mac was brand new this time last year and also has a lot of storage. There are so many other things I manage to do on Premiere that are so much more complex than this.
Whenever I use a dual-screen layout that has my Timeline on one screen and the Effect Controls on the other screen, something weird happens. When I select the clip on the timeline, and then go to the Effect Controls window to change a property of the clip, it instantly disappears as soon as I click in that window. I have to reselect the clip in the Timeline a second time, and only then does the properties stay in the Effect Controls.Again this only happens with a dual screen setup with each window on a different screen. This has been the case since CC 2015, I've noticed. I am currently using version 2017.1.2[Title edited for clarity. — Mod.]
I have been trying to export (not download) a 1 minute video project from Premiere Pro for hours. I have cleared the media cache, restarted my device, checked the codec. I used warp stabilizer and two plug ins for effects. Could this be causing the issue? Never had a problem like this before. I'd appreciate any insight. Edited to reflect the actual meaning... Hi, I'm a total beginner to Premiere Pro, and I'm lost! I'm trying to use my iPhone footage with 4k 120 frames. When I import them into Adobe, they seem to import fine, but when I edit, I notice my video is extremely glitchy. When I finally export the video I find my video extremely slowed down or extremely glitchy. What is causing this, and how do I fix it? It is so frustrating, and I can't seem to find an answer.

Upon updating to Pr Pro 2025 (both standard and beta versions), it has lost the connection to those 1200 render files in the Video Previews folder. It took nearly 10 hours to render my project timelines so I could work on my 4K edit without a lag (2019 Macbook Pro 2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel i9). Upon opening the Pr24 project file in Pr25, there is the standard requirement to save a new version, but there is never an option to reconnect to missing render files. Why should there be? Everything should point to the same place. I had this issue when upgrading to Pr24, but temporarily moving the project (proj) file over to my desktop from my external editing drive fixed that. Subsequent projects retained links to render files, even if the .proj file was within the external drive's project folder with the Adobe files. I've been on chat for nearly three hours now, walking two separate agents through the problem. Alas, just confusion and requests to access my computer which is just not an o
I can't find info or tutorials on this question: I need an approach to editing multiple interviews with multiple subjects. Essentially, I want to edit them together based on each subject's answer to a series of topics:Topic 1 - subjects A, B, C, etc. answersTopic 2 - subjects A, B, C, etc. answersTopic 3, etc.The final video would present the subjects repeatedly, moving from topic to topic.I'm concerned that I will get lost and swamped, as there will be about 12 subjects speaking on 8 different topics. Can someone briefly explain how I should approach this or point me to a relevant tutorial? Many thanks.
Hi,I can't create presets in Premiere Pro. When I click "Create Preset" on my effect, it simply doesn't show up in the effects panel. I can't find it even with a search.I can't install presets either, well, I can, but as soon as I exit Premiere Pro, they'll disappear too and won't save. Thanks for your help. Version : 25.1, Windows 11.
I don't know what happened with this update, but oh boy is it bad. I'm running a 2021 MBP 16" with the M1 Pro chip and 16gb ram (Ventura 13.2.1). This machine normally handles all of the editing I do with zero effort whatsoever. In Premiere Pro 2023 any one of my videos took maximum 5 minutes to export. Now I'm sitting here after exporting for an HOUR and it's only 26% done. It also caused my computer to get hot for literally the first time ever since I bought it back in March 2022. Also while editing there was a tremendous amount of lag doing even something simple like moving a rectangle on screen with the essential graphics window. It's unbelievable how bad it is. Exact same workflow, absolutely nothing changing. Super light editing of an mp4 file with literally two titles put on top..... honestly nothing that couldn't be done in iMovie. I converted my project file created in 2024 using premiere downgrader so I could open it in 2023. Same pro
