Is there any way to automate audio leveling in Adobe Premiere? I used the Auto-match option in the Loudness panel in Essential Sound, but it doesn't work. I want the entire audio waveform of the files on the audio tracks to have a specific loudness range, for example, between -6 and -1 decibels. Right now, I have to cut parts of the file where I see the waveform being too high and manually lower it. It's tedious and repetitive. How can I automate this process?
I have a question. When importing an XDCAM HD 422 60i OP1A MXF file with embedded CEA-708 closed captions into Premiere (on a MacBook M4), will the closed captions be retained? If they are retained, I would like to know how to import the file while keeping the closed captions intact, make some edits, and then export the file while maintaining the closed captions.Additionally, when exporting an XDCAM HD 422 60i OP1A MXF file with embedded CEA-708 closed captions in Premiere, I want to set the captions to "Roll-up 3."Are there specific rules or guidelines for creating caption files?
The paucity of keyboard shrt toggles for both playback and targeting for audio channels/tracks has been a continuous complaint. Yep, but soon, no more! The current public beta build has A TON of audio toggle shortcuts, from solo and mute one/all/selected to target specific audio tracks for copy/paste operations. I'm kind of be-goggled looking at everything that comes up now if you type toggle in the search bar. So go take a look at what's coming!
I’ve been experiencing a recurring crash issue with Premiere Pro. As soon as I open the program and load my Premiere Production project, the editing screen appears but immediately freezes. I can’t access any menus or click anything within the program. The closest I’ve gotten to a fix was uninstalling and reinstalling Premiere Pro. It worked briefly (about five minutes) before crashing again and repeating the issue. I’m running Premiere Pro on a Mac Studio with more than enough power to handle the software. It has been running perfectly for the past five months until now. Any suggestions on a fix?
Good morning,. I've been having some issues with Essential Graphics. I'm not able to live preview the essential graphics within the "My Templates" space (the ones that are predetermined in Premiere Pro). I can only play them once I drag and drop them in the timeline. Nevertheless, I can preview in the Essential graphics panel those that are integrated in the "Adobe Stock" space (free and premium), without necessarily adding them to the timeline. It's a bit frustrating because the fact that I feel obligated to drag and drop the essential graphics to the timeline only to view them, is time-consuming when you're editing.I've updated the software, restarted the computer...and nothing. I am using the Adobe Premiere Pro 2023 version and I'm working on a PC.I was wondering if maybe you could help me find the solution to this problem.Thank you.I look forward to your response.
I've never had this issue before, but just recently, when I drag an imported video clip onto the timeline, it only puts the video portion of the video onto it. The audio portion is left blank. The only way to prevent this is to drag the video into a new sequence, which imports it correctly. So I've been able to use the annoying workaround of importing each clip into its own sequence, then copying and pasting it into the master sequence, then deleting the new sequence. Did I accidentally check some box that caused this to happen? How do I fix this?
I have been having this issue with Premiere for the past few hours. Any time I try to edit a video it freezes the playback after a few minutes and does not allow me to fix the problem, even if I close the panel, restart the program, or my laptop. I have tried every fix I could find, including re-installing Premiere Pro and testing other versions of the software but nothing has fixed it. I don't think my footage is the issue as this is happening on all of my projects. The bug immediatley happens if I open a new window/browser on my laptop, then return to Premiere Pro. Everything else in the software seems to be working outside of actually viewing any footage or the current timeline, but then after a few minutes the entire software will crash. Please let me know if there is any way I can fix this or further contact Adobe for support. Thank you!
I was previously using Camtasia to create video guides to demonstrate how to use software for my company. Camtasia has a lot of quick effects that can be easily dragged and dropped onto the timeline.I found Camtasia very efficient for screen capture and creating video guides for software. My company then instructed me to use Premiere Pro instead (because they had a company license).Unfortunately, I cannot achieve the same level of efficiency, especially when it comes to creating rectangle highlights. The closest I could get was to use the legacy "Write on tool" to draw a rectangle. It is a lot slower because each rectangle has to be created individually and they can't be resized much. The biggest issue is that I can only use this method for drawing small rectangles. The larger rectangles end up turning into dotted lines (see video below).I did try creating the rectangles in After Effects, but working between the two applications is totally impractical, especially when I am creating dozen

so I'm working with a client who has a series of videos on youtube that were done in 2018... They're playing about 8 frames out of synch. If I download the files (from within youtube studio), they're 1280x720 44.1 audio. I can create 2 sequences in Premiere from a short section: one that I delay picture 8 frames, and one that I leave as is... The one with the 8 frame video delay plays in synch within Premiere... the one without any adjustment does not. When I export using the vimeo 720 preset, the one without adjustment plays in synch, the one with the 8 frame video delay does not. I output both as 48k audio (which is the default in the vimeo preset) and one as 44.1. I've also uploaded the outputs to youtube and see the same behavior. Anybody have any idea what's going on. I'm thinking I can asjust synch within youtube studio and see if that fixes it, but hoping for some insight from the experts here.
Equipment. Two Canon 90D, 4k, MP4, 29.97 fps, one Zoom F6 with one Deity mic, Three Deity TC-1s, IMac latest software, Premiere Pro Subscription latest software. Setup. Synced all TC-1s. Confirmed TCs running exactly the same. Set TC-1s to 29.97 fps. Using one TC-1 as master, jam synced the Zoom F6. Confirmed all running in sync. Attached TC1 to camera. Everything still paired. Mic levels set ok. Roll Sound, Roll Cameras. Using two different camera angles front and side of subject. Shot a continuous clip of about 20 seconds with some dialogue. Cut. Removed cards and created a desktop folder. Ingested all three assets. PP. Created a New Project and imported all three assets. Selected all three assets and right clicked to Create Multicam. The fun begins. 50-50 chance a new Multicam clip appears in the Project Window or a message stated audio files cannot be synced. Placing the Multicam clip on the Sequence, it's all messed up. None of the clips or sound are remot
Why in the heck is sync settings going away??? It's so useful....
Hi everyone, I recently started using Adobe Premiere Pro, and I'm facing an issue with playback. Whenever I try to preview my edits, the playback is extremely choppy, even though my laptop has decent specs (16GB RAM, i7 processor, and an SSD). I've already tried lowering the playback resolution, but the problem persists. Is there something I'm missing? Any tips to improve performance would be greatly appreciated!
how do I remove these black lines from my footage on Premiere? It's over almost all of my footage and I can't figure out how to remove them.
Premiere Pro 2023 I have 5 Camera angles to cut between and; becasue of titles, sound, overlays... creating a multi-cam sequence doesn't look like the best workflow for this project. Is there a way I can view all camera angles while playing back my timeline but still edit by cutting the traditional(non multi-cam) stacked video?
I dont remember that when i move something in the time line it all goes to black or to Comparation mode... Pls help GPT didnt find a solution 😞And is stressful to work like this cuz everytime it goes dark and I dont want that.Pls help I would lov u if you solve this thx
Hi, I've updated from 2021(15.4.3) to 2022 (22.2) and now I'm getting frequent crashes (program unresponsive, spinning blue circle). It appears connected to our Tangent Wave 2 control surface for colour grading. If I disconnect the Wave 2 control surfave and use the Lumetri Colour panel, it's fine. When I have the Wave 2 connected, it works for a while then will crash. I saw a weird bug on one clip where each adjustment on the Wave 2 would create a new Lumetri effect in the effects control panel.
I have a video as shown in the picture. how can I convert the video into a rectangular shape without warping the object(wing)? if it were a photo, I could do it with the warp command, but I want to edit the videos I have. can you help me? thank you in advance.
Hello, I need the markers on the clips themselves. Even with “Selection Follows Playhead” activated, clips on the timeline are only selected when playback is stopped! This means you can’t add markers to clips on the fly—how lame is that?! So the markers are going to the sequence TC. Is there a way to transfer markers from the sequence to the clips? thank you Alex
Hello, In recent weeks i've experienced an issue when trying to paste attributes from one clip to another in Premiere Pro. For example if i've added a blur to a clip and want that effect elsewhere i'd copy that clip, then remove attributes from the clip I need the effect on, then use the shortcut for pasting attributes CTRL+ALT+V, and that would do the job. I've had a look at the keyboard shortcut window under Edit and this shortcut has'nt been changed. However, now when I try to use the shortcut, a marker is created and a pop up window relating to the marker displays. Is there a simple fix to regain the desired functionality of this shortcut.
Hi all. I'm not sure what's happened but all of a sudden I can't render anything on my timeline in any new projects I create. I keep getting the 'Error compiling move' error message (see attached screen snip). I have uninstalled PP twice. I have tried using new video footage, old and previously used clips. Nothing will render in new projects. I can go back into old projects, make changes and render, but I just can't get anything to render in any projects I create from new since yesterday. I noticed the problem first whilst trying to render my first two clips from my new Mini 3 Pro (D-Cinelike). That's the first time I saw the error message. I tried some old footage in the timeline but same error and that's when I decided to uninstall and reinstall PP. I've since uninstalled again but I still can't get my timeline to render in a new project even using video clips that were fine a year ago. Wonder if anyone else has seem similar issues? I'm completely stuck on how to move forward. Thanks
So I'm editing a video that was shot vertically, but I zoomed in to make it fit a horizontal format. When I export the vertical version, it exports without issue. But the horizontal one, for some reason, just isn't working and I have no idea why. It'll get to the end of the export, and then it'll say it can't be played due to unsupported encoding settings.I'm using Premiere 2025 on a PC. I think the footage was shot with an iPhone, but I'm not sure. For what it's worth: the footage is showing up fine in the preview for the vertical. When I moved it to a new save file for the horizontal it looked really over-exposed, but I think I fixed that in the lumetri color settings.
I have recently updated the premiere pro 2025 after that, I have started to working on that, the problem which I'm facing is Im not able drag and drop my imported clips un the timeline, even If I placed one clip also after that i'm not able to move into different places, Please guide me to fix this
Since upgrading to Mac OS Sequoia and Premier Pro 2025 it is taking an unusually long time to "Process Audio" when I make a multicam sequence. Before I was able to create multicam's in a matter of minutes and now it's taking hours. I'm using the same audio and video files as I always have, and I'm working on the same Mac Studio Ultra. There must be some setting or something that has changed. Any ideas??
Can someone explain the very high numbers in this metadata, that are associated with a very small clip. I take the first number to rep hours, but obviosly that is not possible.I also so see a corilation with I/O points. I have not added amy
