I have been haivng trouble importing any kind of mp4 into premeire recently. I have trashed prefrences, I have cleared media cache. I am using the correct studio drivers. No luck. any help would be appreciated.  Ive included an example of a video file I typically work with coming from a Lumix G7. Hello hello,Premiere CC 2019 does not display the text box anymore if I use the Text-tool and draw a text field. I can type into it though. So the text itself appears. The problem is that I never know where my textfield is, how wide it is, etc.So let`s say I want to simply put my Title centered over my video. Since I can`t see where my text box borders are it is up to me to guess if it´s centered or not.I have tried this on my two computers and in the Premiere version of a friend and have run into the same problem on all three. So I am guessing it`s not my preferences or system.How come this hasn`t been fixed yet?Does anyone have a solution for this? Help would be greatly appreciated.Thank you

Using a macbookair, OS 14.7.1 with PremierPro CC 25.1. It used to be that if I pressed the Return key, the playhead would return to the beginning of the track and hold. Now for some reason, the playhead returns to the beginning of the track and immediately begins playing automatically.  Is there a way to stop thi?s?I do not want auto-play. Thank you.  Marc

Hola a todos, Estamos trabajando en una Producción de Premiere en una red local con Nexis, donde tenemos una unidad para la Producción y otra para la Media. Nos están apareciendo dentro de la producción al abrir un  proyecto las carpetas de Audio Previews y de Auto Save, junto a cada proyecto, y no sabemos por qué. Esto es un problema pues fuera de la carpeta de la producción de los proyectos ya existen esas carpetas para toda la Producción y no debería generar unas nuevas que además aparecen en la ventana de Producción dentro de Premiere y se forma un caos. Estamos usando la versión 24.6.3 de Premiere Pro. ¿Alguna solución o pista de por qué está pasando? Muchas gracias.Guille García

Hello,I just bought the full CreativeCloud pack I need for my student work (did not download everything though, only the ones I need for now). Photoshop and Animate work without issue. However, Media Encoder and PremierPro always show the message "the application was unable to start correctly". It's version 25.0, my Windows 10 is fully updated, and the PremierePro page says "works on this computer", green tick box. I tried to run it as administrator, tried uninstall-reinstall, nothing. Can anyone help me? I don't want to reset the whole computer or do anything too complicated, as it's supposed to work. 

You know how it is possible to do "copy attributes" then selec many clips and do "paste attributes" to all of them right.I am wondering if its possible to do it to ALL sequences for a given track (for example A1 or v1 or v2 etc)? So lets say i hav 5 sequences, all of them have clips on A1I want to apply/paste attributes to all "A1" tracks of EVERY sequences Can I?

Premiere 25.1iMac OS 14.6.1While working on the video effects of a clip - ultra key, opacity mask...etc, the program monitor will have a striated digital scramble that flutters, and after a while corrects itself.  This happens often.  I have plenty of memory assigned to Premiere, GPU Accelerator is selected, cache has been cleaned repeatedly, content has been reopenend in new project and new sequence.Any thoughts? 

I'm trying to use a Clock Wipe on an Ellipse Shape to create the impression of a circle being drawn. Unfortunately, the default orientation of the Clock Wipe is not aligned with the centre of the Ellipse in the video, and I can't figure out how to move the Clock Wipe. So, uh... help?

I am syncing three cameras, all of which recorded 5 channels of sound, with two channels of audio recorded by the on-set sound mixer (one lav, one boom). In the multicam clips, I believe the editor/director only wants the two channels recorded by the on-set sound mixer. For whatever reason, Premiere made the multicam clips with audio mapped to different # of channels: some to 5 Mono, some to 3 Mono, some to 2 Mono. Should I Modify all the multicam clips so they're mapped only to 2 channels of audio? When I cut one with 5 channel mono into a sequence, it brings in 3 silent channels. It won't cause problems when it comes time to deliver to our color vendor, will it? (ex. in a way similar to how proxies can only be attached if the audio mapping matches) Is there a way to "map" audio for poly WAV clips (where the on-set sound mixer has a separate channel for each person's lavalier, etc..)? I was finished with my recent project and clicked open new under file tab. I opened a new project and renamed it to something else. However, the sequence from previous project was still in timeline of new project.. so I deleted it. When I reopened the original project the sequence was deleted from it too! I have already exported that project, so I at least have a copy of it, but had planned on tweaking some things down the road...and now its gone. Help!

after updating cc to the latest, my project with .mts video files (Panasonic AVCHD files), the audio is no longer in sync with the video. I have already tried clearing the cache files, .pek files, and .cfa files. completely out of sync. In addition, i tried rendering a short clip and that is out of sync. This is a major problem.

Bonjour à tous, Je travaille actuellement (pour un projet perso) sur une vidéo au format 25 fps et j'aimerais savoir quel est le meilleur moyen via Premier Pro de la transformer en une vidéo de 50 fps. Le fichier d'origine est un 1080i 25 im/s avec trames entrelacées. (ligne du haut d'abord, balayage MBAFF) Dois-je effectuer la transformation via Media Encoder ou est-ce plus simple sur Premier Pro directement ? Dans l'idéal j'aimerais un fichier final de 1080p50 et désentrelacé car il s'agit d'une vidéo avec des images rapides et beaucoup de mouvement, donc j'ai besoin d'un rendu le plus fluide possible tout en conservant bien sûr le maximum de la qualité d'origine du fichier. Existe-t-il différentes façon de procéder ? Merci d'avance de vos précieux conseils. Bonne journée à tous. Andy   

I have footage from 2 cameras, taken at different times.  The timing looks something like this: 1121221121...  So, they're intermingled.  I put each camera's clips on a separate video/audio track.  (Video Track 1 = Camera 1, Video Track 2 = Camera 2) The cameras have different looks, and need to be color corrected separately.  I'd like to create a separate adjustment layer for each camera.  So Adjustment Layer 1 would affect all (and only) clips from Camera 1 (which are all on Video Track 1) and Adjustment Layer 2 would affect all (and only) clips fom Camera 2 (on Video Track 2). My understanding is that since adjustment layers affect all video tracks beneath them in a sequence, I can't (cleanly) have both camera's adjustment layers in the same sequence.  Instead, I need to nest each camera's clips in its own sequence, and put an adjustment layer in there.  That way, each adjustment layer only affects one camera's clips. I went ahe

I often use the scroll wheel to scrub clips back and forth in the program monitor. The trouble is that, if I scroll too fast, it stops scrubbing sequentially and jumps over large sections of video. I never want this to happen. I want it to scrub sequentially as fast as it can without ever skipping any frames. When it makes those jumps it's always confusing and it takes a minute to get back to where I was. I haven't been able to find any settings that control this though. Is it possible to fix this or will I forever have to be delicate with my scrolling? Thanks!

Hi there, I'm experiencing a weird issue when exporting a sequence. I'm making a video of the year-end school performance of my daughter I shot last Christmas. Everything is fine, except for the introduction sequence I'm making using a stock background video found on YouTube: it's basically a little shooting star moving across a red background. For a nice effect, I'm using a black mate mask with opacity at 0 only around the little star and tracking it, with stereo effect of a glitter sound. This happens three times before the mate mask reveals the whole imagine. And it's precisely at the third occurence happening at around 00:00:08 to 00:00:09 that there's a glitch after exporting. Weird thing is that there's no glitch for the two previous ones, and yet it's the same thing happening on the screen. It's worth noting that the stock footage is 25 fps and my export is 60 fps, because I shot the whole school performance at 60 fps for smoother movement

The document is "long-form-episodic-best-practices" and it says  If your workflow relies on modifying the source clips using any of the following commands, do not use proxies in Premiere Pro. Doing so will result in unexpected behavior: Modify > Audio Channels Modify > Interpret Footages Modify > Timecode Modify > Captions .At this point, we're not using a production workflow but might consider it if we see any benefits, but there will just be one editor on site (at least as far as I know) I've used modify: interpret footage to override the colorspace so that mxf files play properly and when I've done this, it also automatically applies to the proxies...     I'm assuming this is ok and guessing the interpret footage  caveat is only important if you're interpretting to adjust framerate   I've just started working on a large documentary project with extensive 4K 2 camera interviews and 3 or 4 camera performances...  We really need to work wi

Hi guys. I use Premeire Pro on Mac and Im just so confused. Complete noob and didnt want to have to make this post but Im getting frustrated. I keep importing a video from my photos and it keeps going missing any time I close the project. The video is still in my photos and I can't get it to upload to my Creative Cloud which is what I would usually do instead. Where do I need to upload it to get it to stay in the project. 

How does the latest version of Adobe Premiere Pro (2025) optimize performance on Windows 10, and are there any new features or settings that help improve playback and rendering speeds compared to previous versions?

Hi guys,Just curios what people are doing with their raw footage after they have finished with the project.I have found as the file sizes increase due to 4k size, my project folders are getting bigger and filling drives faster.I'm currently keeping all my old footage (like a true hoarder) and exporting it to storage drives but can't continue to do this. Culling the projects I feel I will never access again is looking like the option. Problem is I'll need to cull harder than I want to. Are you keeping all your footage or deleting it at a later date?Cheers

Hello! Love automation blocks! Is it possible to have also videos and photos, or only videos in the "one click slide show?" If so how exactly? Is it possible to automatically intitialize beat edit in the one click slide show?  is it possible to us automation blocks to automatically generate captions? And finally is it possible to take data from a googlesheet and google drive and have premiere automatically trigger the one click slide show using the text data and images and music ? (or another way to make this work?)Thanks so much!Chris 

Hello @Mathias Moehl  The attached script swaps out the selected clip in your sequence for the selected project item in your bin, retaining the in-point of the sequence clip. It works fine, but the exported files don't match the sequences! All clips in the timeline that were applied by the script start at the wrong frame in the exported video files. For example...Clip 1 should start a 1:06, but starts at :19Clips 2 and 3 should start at  :20, but start at :19  Then, after you close and re-open the project, the sequences match the exports, showing that the clips in the sequence have the incorrect in points. Boggling that the project can look one way, and then another way after you re-open it. I would think it has something to do with the framerate rounding error the script accounts for, but Clip 1 is off by too many frames. Two editors on two different machines were able to recreate this error a number of times.Very confusing one!
