I am not an expert in Premiere, so please be kind as I probably describe this poorly. Haha.    After a recent update, when I drag transitions to my timeline, they no longer appear as separate elements; they're combined. I download these from Envato, remove what I don't need, and leave the rest.    Now, the only way I can make this happen is if I right-click them and click Open in Timeline, which opens it in a separate timeline and looks like this...     How do I get it to appear like that on my main timeline? That's what used to happen, but now I get this...     Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks! 😃   [Title edited by mod for clarity]

Hi, please help if you can! I'm using a Mac. I've uninstalled the app, and reinstralled it through Creative Cloud. Shutdown and restarted my computer several times. Tried holding down the option key when opening the app and resetting my preferences (including clearing media cache) and Premiere still won't open. It looks like it shows the initial start-up screen, and then seems to sit in the dock, but isn't actually open. I don't have anything in the tool bar. It's like it's just not there. I have to force quit. I don't know what else i can do? Thanks. 

je pense que je vais pas etre le seul à n'avoir d'autre choix que de passer a avid ou davinchi resolve, ses du foutage de gueule d'avoir un logiciel si réputer autant de budget et nous faire payer si chère pour un produit aussi instable les mise a jour recente apporte 2, 3 nouveauté interréssante mais on sent le manque d'effort dans le developpement tant il est délaisser , très peu de nouveauté pour un lot d'instabilité battant des record même avec une config a 1000 euro tu peux pas lire ta timeline de manière fluide les version avant 2023 marche mieux et il ose nous augmenter les prix pour des nouveauté qui n'equivalent meme pas 10% des probleme apporter, ses 2 derniere année j'ai eu des probleme que je n'ai jamais eu en 7 ans et sur CHAQUE PROJET  etant donner qu'il ne veulent ni ameliorer leur stabilité ni baisser leur prix (qui est abberant ) me voila obliger de changer de logiciel pour pouvoir travailler (ce qui n'est absolument plus possible sur premiere pro , dailleur sa m'

Hola, soy usuario de Adobe Premiere, tengo unha tarjeta Blackmagic, el sonido me sale bien por la tarjeta pero no soy capaz de sacra la señal de vídeo a un monitor externo también de Blackmagic en SDI. Antes tenía Avid y no tuve problemas pero desde que em cambié a Premiere dejó de fncionar la salida de vídeo. Si alguien me puede ayudar, se lo agradezco.Saludos y gracias

After i updated my Premiere pro to the latest version, it is not allowing me to access any previous projects, i even tried to downgrade the versions but it still doesn't work

"The project was saved in a newer version of Adobe Premiere Pro and cannot be opened in this version"The project edited until yesterday, 22.11.2025, cannot be opened today. 

En faisant la derniere maj premiere et en ouvrant le fichier que je venais d'enregistrer dans la version précédente j'ai eu ce message d'erreur et depuis je ne peux ouvrir aucun des autres projets ,même en installant d'autres versions 😕😕

Hi all! I hope this makes sense as it is become a problem while editing for work. My transcript used to follow along the videos audio as a person spoke. However that is not the case as the transcript monitor still lights up the word being said I have to scroll throuugh the transcript to find the part the audio is on. Its not activley moving as the video plays out. Please help! Anyone else experience this? "Follow active monitor" is selected. I uploaded a video here you can see as hes speeking the transcript lights up but I have to like scroll along with the dialog to find where he is in the transcript.. Any help is very appreciated!

Hi guys.Is there a way to save a sequence looks?You can of course save a preset but it's not what I'm talking about.In Avid for instance, you can save looks but, most of all, you can switch from one look to an other and that's really interesting. Let's say that you want to focus on the audio editing: you pick up a saved look with a nice zoomed audio tracks, you make your correction, and switch back to a look where you don"t see the waveform and have small audio tracks. This with a shortcut is a real time saver. No need to zoom in and out in the audio tracks anymore, just one click.

The timeline freezes very badly, and I can hardly adjust the tempo because of how slow it gets. This happens all the time while I'm working.

Software:I'm using Windows 11, and  Premiere Pro 2025Problem:In Premiere Pro, certain Hindi characters do not display correctly when I make a title. Description:I have a word document with some Hindi text.  If I copy and paste the text into a title in Premiere, it shows up with different Hindi letters.  I have tried several fonts (Devanagiri New, Sanskrit, Mangal) and it's the exact same problem every time.

Hello,I was wondering why I got crushed white on my second fullscreen monitor (Eizo) when everything is fine on the main monitor software interface in the program window (AOC).I try the opposite, make Eizo main monitor and AOC playback monitor and I got the same behavior.White are fine in the program window(Eizo) and crushed in the playback monitor.(AOC).Using the 25.6.2 (Build 1)

Hello,I was looking at the templates of PPRO program, but it seems they only open on Adobe Express: I was wondering if there are any other datasets of "ready to use" templates for PPRO like these and as good (for PPRO no adobe express) Thanks(I did a small search found one website with somewhat simple projects, but I want to find more more and better better)

We just upgraded to Premiere 25.5 from 24.6. The addition of the Film Impact assests is nice, etc, but I've noticed something... It now takes 5 steps to apply a default transition. 1. Highlight the edit.2. Use keyboard shortcut to apply the transition.3. Find the microscopic point on the transition that allows you to focus the transition and click on it.4. Click on the transition AGAIN.5. Move the transition to beginning of the edit.6. (optional) Completely forget what I was doing because it took 5 steps to apply a simple transition. I have been suggesting for YEARS to add a default POSITION to a default transition in preferences. Beginning of cut, center of cut, end of cut. It would eliminate 3 steps in the process. That's it. End of rant.

25.6.2が自動でアップデートされてしまい、それまで開けていたファイルも「新しいバージョンで作成されたため開けません」と表示されるようになり、25.5にダウングレードしても、同じようなメッセージがでて、ファイルが開けないのです。今作成し、保存したファイルも、開こうとすると同じメッセージがでます。最近使ったファイルから開く時は開けるのですが、それ以外の方法では開けなくなりました。 どうしたら、今までのように問題なく開けるようになるでしょうか？よろしくお願いいたします。

Video clips temporarily disappear from the Program Monitor during dragging in Timeline (Premiere Pro 2025).

I’m working on a video project for uni and I’d like some advice on the most efficient workflow to achieve a look similar to the image I attached. The aspect ratio is 4:3, and two videos play side by side with one on the left and one on the right. I also want to use many different clips on each side throughout the project rather than just two fixed videos. I’m unsure whether it’s better to start by creating a 4:3 sequence and then position and scale every clip, or to format all the clips first before placing them into the sequence. Any tips, tools, presets, or general best practices that could help streamline this process would be greatly appreciated.

I need the option to play videos on the timeline and in the Project window. Sometimes I can't use this option and have to restart the program. This is inconvenient. Different versions, different devices, different files. What could be the problem?

After more than 10 years of subscription, I am extremely disappointed in Adobe Premiere Pro's processing of HDR footage from a Xiaomi FlipPhone.  I accidentally recorded my child for a school project in HDR Video Mode, and when I Imported it into the timeline, the footage kept on stuttering.  It took me around an hour just to find a supposed solution, but in the end it all didn't work.   My wife suggested I try CapCut, and as I put the clip into the timeline, CapCut immediately informs me that it will convert the HDR to SDR.  In less than a minute, I was recreating my edit in Premiere Pro.  Why are we paying for a subscription if Premiere Pro can't automatically suggest a conversion from HDR to SDR? I tried Interpeting the footaged, I tried converting the color space of the footage, the color space of the sequence, nothing worked, it kept on stutttering.  I tried converting it via Adobe Media Encoder, and the stuttering persisted in the converted

On the docuseries I'm working on, our editors have been putting Adjustment Layers in an upper video track  indicating which shots will be replaced with GFX/VFX. We Assistant Editors have been adding a Text layer that indicates the GFX #, which lets Netflix know the current shot is TEMP and will be replaced with GFX/VFX. Is there a way to export an EDL that includes the Text information? It looks like the Adjustment Layers can be exported as an EDL so I can copy TC IN, TC OUT, and Duration into a Google Sheet for our GFX vendor. It'd be convenient if the GFX # could be exported to the EDL as well. From what I can see, Adjustment Layers show up in EDLs as "* FROM CLIP NAME: Graphic". As every professional production has hundreds of GFX/VFX, and Assistant Editors/GFX Editors need to provide updated spreadsheets with GFX #, TC IN, TC OUT, Duration, and assets (the video clips, stills, etc. that the GFX artist will be using to make the GFX) for every version of the cut that g

Hi, Premiere 25.6.1 asks to update on the opening screen but it's already on the latest software. Pressing update doesn't do anything. Is this correct behaviour?Probably just something not checked in the hurried release after not checking the 25.6 release. When you go back and check this please also check the fact that premiere no longer exports for a lot of people on mac and on pc or at least you have to keep trying the many options there - try the export window, nope. try file / media / export. Nope. Try file/ media/export/send to media encoder. Success! But i still have to way while it renders every single audio clip on my 2 hour timeline for a few hours despite selecting an in to out of 1 minute duration. Oh, and the text box keeps freezing up after a while too and only comes back after closing and opening the project so when you do test it try working on it for a few hours on a large production.I'm really concerned that this software has reached that point of bloati

The problem is only in the export window. And please don't write that I need to update my monitor, drivers, Windows, or keyboard. That's not the reason.
