I'm somewhat annoyed by the attempt of Adobe Premiere to force the user in their own immature way of accessing files from within the app. Please let Mac users use their known filebrowser, shortcuts and sidebar. Or at least give the option in Premiere's Settings. Its annoying to navigate through hierarchies, while we know that there is an sidebar alias at hand. Update:The Adobe import interface appears when importing an Ae-Comp via Dynamic Link.

Hello,I imported my illistrator file (.ai) which is vector image into premiere and I am trying to zoom into a particular area. When I zoom in the image it is not clear. I so not know what I need to do. I do not see a rasterize option and do not want to have to use premiere pro. Is there a simple fix to this?

I'm looking for the best way to turn my basic video off my camera into instagram sotry size. Right now the footage is 1920x1080. I want to do this without loosing quality or not by blowing it up to fit a new sequence setting. Any tips 

It's August 24, 2025. I updated Premiere to version 25.4.0 Build 99 a few days ago. This install is on an M1 iMac running macOS Sequoia 15.6.1 on 16GB of RAM.  This is not user error because I never want it disabled but the playhead snapping option in the timeline is randomly disabling while working in any project, not just one specific project. I haven't been able to nail down an exact trigger so I'm calling it random for now. I will always find it puzzling how updates always, always, always break things that have worked for years. I'm not a software developer but active beta testing should catch stuff like this, right?

I am unable to find how to delete or edit the new local style introduced in 24.3 once it is created. Rightclicking yields no results  and now I'm stuck with three copies named the same way without being able to remove or edit the others.  

Hey all,Is there a way to shift an entire track up or down placing them in the order or arrangement you want? I want to be able to grab V1 and move it to where V3 is, so that it's above the other footage on V2.Or grab A6 and pull it up to A2, Making old A6 now A2, and previous A2 is now A3. Curently (as far as I know) you have to highlight all the clips on the track and bump them up when highlighted.2 problems accure, if you bump up and land on the track above it will overwrite the clips above, or if you unlink the audio video you may misalign sound from video. How is this not a feature? When I started out 15 years ago with Sony Vegas, it was available. 15 years later I still can't do that in Premiere, or am I missing something?    

Hi there,I like using Adobe Fonts (in theory). There are quality fonts there and I use several of them in my graphic templates.However, nearly everytime I start Premiere and return to a project with an Adobe Font, the font does not display. The title displays but uses another local font, usually the one that it as the top of my local fonts list. The way that I fix this is to go to the font drop down in Essential Graphics and click on the small Add Adobe Fonts button.That launches the Adobe Fonts website where I sign in to my Adobe Account. Then I close and reopen Premiere and the proper font displays as it should.Most of the time when it is not working the name of the Adobe font that is being used is displayed in brackets. Like Premiere is saying, this is what font we're supposed to use but we can't and instead it displays a local font.But sometimes, more rarely, all of my Adobe Fonts are simply gone. Searching them in the font dropdown list returns nothing like they have never be

I have some old 16mm film I've made digital. It looks fine for what it is (16mm), but it's obviously grainy. I have seen people improve the quality of 16mm film on YouTube, before AI was a thing, so I know it's not that. I'm really not at all familiar with options in Premiere (or maybe it's an After Effects thing? I have both) I can use to make the footage look cleaner.  I know it's not going to look HD, and that's not my goal, just any improvement to make it look as best as I can. If anyone has any suggestions or can point me in the right direction in terms of effects to try, or a tutorial, I'd be very grateful. Hello, I have downloaded and installed the WebM plugin from the official website: https://fnord.com/When I go into Premire or Media Encoder I don't see it as a format being able to export, it just isn't there. When I launch After Effects I get a message: The following plugins have failed to load. Please reinstall these plugins. I have tried reinstalling, downloading again, restarting all programs, restarting my computer but it just doesn't work. Please help me out, thank you.

Audio is missing from video export.Its always the same dialog which is missing.- Tracks are not muted- Deleted files and rendered files, but still missing after importing them again then try to export.- Audio sounds great when editing or watching in Premiere Pro.- This relates to 2 files I imported into this program (the other 100 files are working just fine) I shot footage on the same camera (1080p 25fps including audio recorded on the same video file) What is wrong with Adobe Premiere Pro?

Hi everyone, I really need help with this problem. Every time I try to open Premiere Pro, I get this message: "Sorry, Premiere Pro has encountered an error and needs to close.You will not be able to use Premiere Pro at this time. Please contact Customer Support and use the reference code 102 for more information on how to resolve this issue."   I already tried most of the official troubleshooting steps, but nothing worked: Uninstalled and reinstalled both Premiere Pro and the Creative Cloud desktop app Signed out and back into Creative Cloud Disabled antivirus and Windows Firewall Checked my internet connection (works fine) Reset preferences / caches Tried creating a new Windows user account Updated GPU drivers and Windows Despite all of this, the error still shows up, and I can’t launch Premiere at all. - Has anyone here fixed Error Code 102 before? - Is this an account/subscription issue or something deeper in my system? Any advice would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance

Olá, eu tinha o Premier instalado no meu computador que é bastante novo, porém fiz um upgrade na memória dele e quando fui instalar os programas da adobe novamente, vários deles dizem não ser compatíveis com o meu computador, incluindo o Premier, o que não faz sentido porque eu já tinha ele instalado. E não consigo ter acesso às versões anteriores do programa para ver se funcionam no meu computador. Se alguém puder me ajudar, eu agradeço!

Liebe Gemeinde, Premiere (aktuellste Version im Moment, aber prinzipiell seit PPro 2025) "frisst" innerhalb von mal mehr mal weniger Zeit Arbeitsspeicher bis 100+ GB...und hängt sich dann natürlich auf. Nichts geht mehr auf dem System. Ich kann nicht downgraden, da bereits Projekte damit begonnen wurden. Ich habe bereits mehrfach neuinstalliert und Restverzeichnisse händisch bzw. mit einem Cleaner-Tool gelöscht. Ich habe unterschiedliche (externe) sehr gute Festplatten / RAID gestet. Same same. Es passiert auch bei unterschiedlichem Material (Codec, Auflösung, fps). Plugins ebenso mal rausgeschmissen und neu installiert. Am Rechner liegt es wohl nicht, da vor der 2025er Version alles ganz gut lief (soweit das bei Adobe möglich ist). Diagnose-Tool bringt keine Schadensmeldung.Es ist ein sehr spezfisches Verhalten und ich kann mir denken, daß es an einer bestimmten Schnittstelle / Kombi von Komponenten liegt aber ich finde keine Antwort bisher. Mein System:Apple MBP M

Hi guys I got a new job and I'm using a Macbook Pro. For my own business I use a PC.(Not sure it's relevant)I'm having an issue where the Macbook Premiere export has less contrast and the colors seem a bit different particularly in the reds/magentas vs the export.This is with a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 using D-LogM.The left photo is the export and the right photo is the premiere timeline.The first clip of the flowers and building (not log profile):I have tested this with the raw clip comparing it the raw clip to the clip exported in premiere and also in premiere timeline.I found that the raw clip and the raw clip exported look the same, but in the premiere timeline it has more contrast.The 2nd clip of the horse:You can see there is less contrast in the export and the skin tones seem different.The 3rd clip is probably the best to compare:That is the raw clip on left vs the raw clip in Premiere timeline.I am working in a rec.709 workspace everything should be default on the Macbook since it's a

i don't have any audio that's preventing me from moving it. i can't move clips left anywhere in the timeline.

Why in the world is this default?!Anyway... I want to create a sequence from a sequence I already edited. None of the edits have transitions, just straight cuts. When I create a 'New Sequence from Clip" it adds cross-fades to all of the edits.  I tried going in and setting the default crossfade time to 0, but it won't let me do that (minimum is 2 frames). Why is it forcing me to have transitions? I find this totally ridiculous. How do I remove them? thanks.

I have an issue with Premier Pro and After Effects. When I open them they crash right away. I have tried reinstalling them that didnt work. I downloaded the diagnostic that adobe has and that came back as saying there are no issues. I am lost is there anyone that knows what might be the problem. Thank you. 

Hi Folks,I have a problem that's been driving me nuts. Whenever I use a custom workspace, Premiere develops a huge lag, a 1-2 second delay between any mouse click and the action registering in the program (specifically the timeline). Keyboard delay is a little better, but it's still there. The thing that's super frustrating is this only happens in custom workspaces. The lag disappears in the default "editing" workspace. I edit with two monitors, so I tend to use a workspace I've set up for that. Resetting the workspace doesn't help, the lag persists. If I delete the workspace and re-create it, I'll have no problems for 2 or 3 days, but then the lag returns. This is dumb. Hello.  I have updated Premiere 25.4.0 and updated Nvidia RTX 4060 drivers.  When I launch a project and try to import video from media browser into Source display or Timeline display, only the audio plays, video monitors are blank.  No black screen, no visual of anykind, just blank.  Media being imported comes from two formats, one (MVI) which loads fine on Windows Media player.  Task Manager seems to show graphics processing is happening in Intel processor and not Nvidia.   Please help figure out how to achieve playback in Premiere.

Just updated to 23.5 and now when i play, the blue playhead cursor doesn't move - only when i stop playing does it jump forward to wherever I had stopped.

Hi all, would appreciate help as this is driving me mad.I dont know how but the last few months my left and right arrows just wont move frames on the timeline, every time i need to move i have to manually do it by mouse or jkl keys. if i want to go forward just a frame, i have zoom in full and select it by mouse.every time i try to use arrows the graphics and titles panel lights up on the top bar (mac)whats more annoying is shift + arrow still does the 5 frame jump so its not even consistent in its problem hahai have deleted, updated, redownloaded, reboot opened, cahce wiped and preference wiped to no avail.would be over the moon if someone could offer some sage council here.

Hi fellow editors! I just upgraded to Premiere 23.1.0 and when I try to use the unsharp mask effect, it immediately crops the top 25% of the frame. I have restarted the computer and tried this on multiple clips in the sequence, all to the safe  unfirtunate consequance. I removed all other effects from the clip and this still happens when I apply unsharp mask. Has any body else experienced this?
