Hi there, I'm working on a film in Productions on 25.4.1 and the Production project is now around 188gb all together. Whenever the other editor or I close Premiere, the whole Production crashes and we have to force quit to get it to close. Any ideas as to why this might be happening and how to fix it? Thanks so much!

I am creating short videos that are effectively slideshows of pictures. I have created very basic effects so that the images will "zoom" in slightly (or scale up) and move towards one of the 4 corners. Very basic "animations". I use the default transition (cross dissolve) to move from image to image almost all the time. I have saved these effects as presets, set the to "scale", and yet they don't ever seem to put the key frames where I set them when I originally created the effect and saved it. Everytime I apply one of my effects to an image, the key frames for the effect get set to 7 frames before the image starts on the timeline and 8 frames after the image ends on the timeline. What I want is for the effect to start at the beginning of the "in" transition and end at the end of the "out" transition. By default, Cross Dissolve seems to be set to last 1 full second, so 15 frames before the swap to 15 frames after.  So that brings me to my question:  How can I save these effects as pres

I've tried all kinds of thing to make the PPro window fit on screen or smaller.No other program is doing this.  Whoops, now Photoshop too.What is the trick?  PPro 25.6.3 

Where are the refinement tools if it doesent work like magic as it does in the demo clips the demo clips?

Just trying to get some creative ideas from other editors on how they approach implementing a 16x9 video or footage into a 9x16 format for an ad or something more professional. I don't like the approach where you simply make the background a scaled up and blurred duplicate of the video. Sometimes I'll use split screen and just repeat the video above and below but I find that it's too distracting or seems like an afterthought. I am attaching just two things that I had to do because the client really wanted it this way but wanted to get some ideas if anyone had any! Thanks in advance!

Hi there, I'm working on a film in Productions on 25.4.1 and the Production project is around 188gb and around a year old. We are experiencing some glitches and are wondering if it could be caused by a corrupt sequence, because this project has gone through many iterations and I have heard that can lead to corruption over time. Is there any way to easily find out which sequence is corrupted? We have hundreds of sequences and some people say that corrupted sequences can work normally and still be corrupted. Thanks so much!

I redownloaded a graphical template from Adobe Stock and I dragged it into Premiere Pro. This template uses HouseSlant-Regular, which is a font that appears to have been in Adobe Fonts at one point, but no longer is. I pulled this graphic into a timline, then decided I didn't like it and deleted the clip. Now every time I open this project I get an alert about the missing font. When the box appears there's no option to resolve, it just tells me that it's going to use a substitue.  When I open the "replace fonts" menu, HouseSlant-Regular does not appear as being used in this project. When I right click on the graphical template the "delete" option is greyed out. I went into the Motion Graphics Template folder and it is not there. I went into my CC Library and deleted it from there, but when I open Premiere Pro I still get this alert about a missing font. I use this editing project almost daily and having this extra alert pop up after a minute or two is extr

Hi everyone,  Just bought brand new Macbook Pro M4 Pro ( upgraded from the first M1 Mac ) and i installed  Premiere and just started my first project, but immediatelly noticed the footage is shown oversaturated and with high red tones, so this is a clients that i used to work since i bought the M1 like 4 years ago and never had an issue, this is filmed on Sony FX3 and you will notice on the screenshot, on the right image the footage is in Davinci Resolve, on the left is in Premiere pro, i tried various things from the forum and from google and chatgpt, nothing seems to work, never had this issue on the older M1 and i was working on premiere 2025 that time. If someone have experience issue like this and knows how to troubleshoot it i will be very grateful.Thanks in advance

Hello!I recently updated to 2026 and I can't wait to finally be able to mask people out like I would in After Effects. But I'm having an issue that's come around with the new update. In previous versions I would press P and use the Pen Tool to create masks. Because of this I've gotten used to that workflow. In the new update when I press P and go to use the Pen Tool it just creates Shapes on top of footage I'm attempting to mask. Is there a way to have the original Pen Tool create masks instead of creating Shapes or do I need to rebind P to the new version of the Pen Tool?Thank you for your time!

As of today, playback and exporting videos has become very slow. It's taking me hours just to export a 1-2 minutes video.I have a M3 Max Macbook with 36Gb of ram. I updated the OS to Tahoe 26.2 and updated premier pro 2026 in my attempts to fix it but no changes. I am using a Shappire Plug in but it hasnt effected performance like this before.I keep having the 'force quit applications' window pop in which it says Premier Pro is using 140-180GB and is no longer reponsive. I have deleted all Caches and 100Gb worth of old saves and premier documents.Still nothing has worked - any suggestions? Anyone experiencing similiar and found solutions?

Hi all, for some reason I cannot select a version of captions which allows me to save a caption style. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?  

I have Premiere Pro 26.0. When I try to animate mask path it does not create the keyframe. Only animation of position or tracking mask work. But mask path animation does not. It is annoying.

In my Premiere project, at some point, all the clips were unlinked without me knowing how that happened. Can I relink the audio from all these clips at once?

IdeaPad Gaming 3 15IAH7 Laptop - Type 82S. Windows 11 24/25. Different versions of Nvidia drivers, different SSDs and flash cards. Premiere 23/24/25/26. Clean installation of different versions of Windows. When importing files, the processor is overloaded to 100% and only a hard reboot helps. The computer does not respond to the mouse or keyboard. Video card and SSD tests show no problems.

I'm new to using adobe so apologies for any misunderstandings. My college course for digital post production focuses on using Premiere Pro (as well as Audition), so I signed up for the student discount. My issue however is looking for versions of Premiere Pro and Audition that are compatible with my computer. I'm currently using a Macbook Pro on Catalina 10.15.7. I've looked everywhere and I just can't seem to find any version to download the previous versions of Premiere Pro and Audition that are compatible with my computer. If anyone can help me, it would be much appreiciated!!!!

Anybody on the premiere development team should be truly embarrased with premiere 2025. I have spent the better part of an hour trying to import a sequence from one project into another and save...that's it and premiere simply will not save without crashing and forcing me to start over again. This is a new issue, aside from the absurd interface lag that makes this version completely unusable on all levels. It is 2026 and version 2025 is still not usable.  When I look at the known bug list I see many unsolved bugs from april of last year, nearly a year ago.  You should not be releaseing any new "features" until the software is at least usable, which in it's current state it is not. 

I just upgraded to PP 2026. In 2024, when at the first frame of a clip in the Effect Editor, I used to be able to left arrow and go to the last frame of the previous clip. This is very helpful when repositioning shots, example: if I repo a character's eyes in incoming shot so they're in a simiar place as their eyes in the previous shot, it makes the edit smoother. I see that in 2026 I can no longer do so. Is there a Setting that lets me get back to the 2024 behavior?

Hi-I'm trying to re-link mts files.I filmed on Sony XD Cam FS5II. I copied the BDMV files from the SD cards to an iMac harddrive (one BDMV per SD card). I used File > Import from Premiere to import each BDMV file into my Premiere 2019 project. My understanding is the clips (mts files) were created in that step. I edited the project in Premiere 2019 for a while, then last year opened it in Premiere 25.5.0 (Build 13) and have been editing there. Then recently I had to move the project to a different iMac (OS 26.1). I copied the entire project file from the original iMac (including subfolders for each SD card with a single BDMV file in them) to an external hard drive. Tried to open the Premiere Project from that external drive on the new iMac and was prompted to re-link media. But the files listed in the re-link dialogue are Mts files, and I can’t locate those in the Finder.Does anyone know a process for re-linking them? Thank you for any tips/info.

Hi everyone,I’ve just installed Premiere Pro 2026, and while the new Object Mask tool is impressive, I’m struggling to use it for my intended workflow. As a wedding editor, I frequently need to remove background objects or distractions from drone and gimbal shots using After Effects' Content-Aware Fill.Previously, my workflow was:Create a manual mask in Premiere > Replace with After Effects Composition > Content-Aware Fill.OR: Send clip to AE > Roto Brush/Manual Mask in AE > Content-Aware Fill.The announcement of the Object Mask tool made me think I could finally automate the masking process in Premiere and then just jump to AE for the fill. However, when I try to use Replace with After Effects Composition, Premiere warns me that the Object Mask will not be visible or valid in AE.My questions:Is there any way to "bake" or convert an Object Mask into a standard path mask (Opacity Mask) that After Effects can recognize?Why is this limitation

Hello everyone, I'm having trouble getting the in and out points recognized when using the up and down arrows to navigate my timeline. I used to be able to quickly scan through footage on my timeline and set in and out points on the section of a clip I wanted to move up to the next video track. I once could even take that in out portion of my clip and, without moving the entire clip, could get that portion on one video track above the original. Not only does it seem this workflow doesn't work anymore, but I'm having trouble even getting up and down arrows to snap to the in and out points I set on the timeline. I 've tried turning snap (magnet) on and off. I'm not seeing anything in the settings or keyboard shortcuts to get the timeline to recognize my in and out points. Any help would be greatly appreciated! See below for an example.Thank you!

I’m seeing inconsistent timeline marker behaviour when using different ripple-editing methods in Premiere Pro since version 25.3.   In earlier versions, ripple edits did not delete markers. Since 25.3, it’s now easy to unintentionally delete markers depending on how a ripple edit is performed.   Example setup: Create a sequence with two clips back-to-back. Place a timeline marker at the start of the second clip. Trim the head of the second clip   Observed behaviour: Edit method Resulting marker behaviour Ripple Edit Tool Marker moves earlier in the timeline, shifting onto the preceding clip Ripple Trim shortcut (Q) Marker is deleted In/Out points + Extract Marker is deleted Cut + Sequence > Ripple Delete Marker remains at the start of the second clip Standard Delete or Sequence > Clear Marker is preserved   There needs to be clearer, more consistent rules around marker behaviour during ripple edits.
