As described in a related "PDF Page Size" message thread, I am needing to change the font color of all - or a specified range of - pages within a 200-page PDF file, from dark grey to black.  As stated in that separate thread: In experimenting with changing the font color in a fully-justified three-column text document, in Acrobat Pro XI, I am having disappointing results.  The 9-point Times New Roman text is already solid black, but when I select an entire column of text and then re-select the black color swatch, the text *slightly* changes size and completely re-flows itself - which not only leaves "orphan" en-dashes between syllables of hyphenated words, but also causes the document to lose its exactness of layout compared to the original.It is difficult to me to characterize this behavior as anything but a program bug, but regardless of how one chooses to categorize it, I would hope that it has been fixed in Acrobat Pro DC.  Does the latter program still exhibit this

I'm using a laptop running Win 10. I have Adobe Acrobat PDF Pack subscription. I have PDF Reader installed and up to date on my laptop but I'm suddenly being told that I need to install Doxillion in order to look at PDFs that I was viewing on PDF Reader yesterday. I haven't downloaded or installed any other s/ware in the meantime. Does anybody have any idea what's going on? 

Hello, while running a full scan on my brother's computer using Windows Defender, I received a warning saying, "Another instance of Distiller is busy starting. This instance cannot continue." Why did I receive this warning? Could it be due to Defender (full scan), and what does this application do?

I have scanned a small book using Adobe Scan app on my iPhone.The pages are all slightly different size in the resultant PDF file, though uniform in the original book.I have done some research on resizing all pages to be uniform, and apparently "fit to page" via the "print to PDF" is the way to go.My only problem is that there is NO "Print to PDF" option in my print box, only my laser printer is listed.I am using Acrobat Pro DC on a Mac. Is that the problem? I read vague comments online that this is Windows only.Could anyone kindly offer any other solutions?Thank you.

Hello all. Our entire team has been unable to share links for review in INDD, Acrobat and AI yesterday and today. We get 403 or 401 messages. This is a major impediment in workflow and approval. For some weird reason, we can share XD links. Is anyone else's team experiencing this? It seems like it's Adobe's issue. (Yes, we have logged out/back in, rebooted, reinstalled, all the things.) VERY frustrating. Thanks for any help, all!

Where do I find the plugins I had installed in previous versions of Acrobat?

Acrobat updated and i prefer working with the older version i had. In Adobe Creative Cloud i have the option to install 'Other versions' for all other apps except Adobe Acrobat.Can anyone explain to me if and how i can install older versions of Adobe Acrobat? 

My work computer updated to the new Adobe Acrobat Pro (2023.006.20320) and the app is now completely unusable. This update is genuinely terrible. Nothing was improved, and even after a month using this version, work that used to take me 5 minutes now takes half an hour.   I've tried to find the option to "disable new acrobat" but it does not appear under the "View" drop down menu. Why is the option not appearing for me and how can I revert back to the previous acrobat version?

Hi -- I can't seem to find an answer on how to customize tooltips in a PDF.  My source document is in Adobe FrameMaker (2022 release - version 17.0.4.628) and I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro (Version 2025.001.20756). In FrameMaker, I created hotspots on three graphics. I saved my FrameMaker file as a PDF and opened it in Adobe Acrobat Pro. When I click any of the three graphics in the PDF, they function as intended: a corresponding link opens the correct PDF document. However, the tooltips, which I also configured in FrameMaker, are not there. All I see is the full URL for each link.In Adobe Acrobat Pro, I also created three clickable text links in the PDF. Again, the links work as intended: if I click any of the links, they open a the correct document. But, there seems to be no option in Adobe Acrobat Pro where I can change the default tooltip (full URL) to a more user-friendly label. I would greatly appreciate any help. My PC is equipped with a file manager called Explorer, it was included in the operating system (Windows 11). I use this exclusively to manage files and folders.  In Acrobat, when I save a file, it defaults to some Adobe file manager that's much less efficient. It only shows me 5 folders that I've recently saved other files to, whereas the Windows explorer shows me the folders on my PC and lets me choose where to save. I know I can click "Choose a Different Folder" and Adobe will pull up File Explorer but I'd like to skip that step and just have the file explorer pop up when I hit save-as - just like it does with every other app. 

I have a paid account and it won't allow me to edit documents even after I log in.  I tried chatting with support, he signed in and took over my computer, turned off the malware and now I can't open any of my PDF files.  I tried calling the support phone and I couldn't hear the representative and she couldn't get my email correct.  I've wasted almost half a day that I can't spare on this and I'm so frustrated. 

22 months after my post, I continue to receive notifications from developers advertising their tech tools and having big feelings when I point out that their reply is inherently not applicable.For MONTHS I have requested admins delete my OP.

Hello,I would like to add a 'non-digital' signature field on my fillable form. This form is to request a permit for the city and we want to post the form on our website. I do not want users to enter a digital signature when they fill in the form, I just want them to sign (as with Adobe Sign) but I will not send the file for signature. In short, my question is how can I get the signature field from the 'Fill and sign' tool into my fillable form prepared with the 'Prepare form tool' Thanks 

So, in two forms calculations won't work. The real weird thing is that two of these forms were created off the original, and it is the original and one of the others that are not working. For the ones not working, neither the sum function or the simplified function works (I haven't tried the custom calc field). Is there a setting that has changed to prevent these from working for these documents and not the other one? This is the simplied formula I am using: PowerPowerPlant-PowerSubPower (each of these are the exact names and tool tips of the fields in question) Again, it works for one document but not the others.

Hi, I use Chrome to visit reddit post like this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/sysadmin/comments/1b294ce/large_majority_of_users_getting_desktop_outlook/ Then I try to print it as a PDF file, but the printed PDF missing some lines. I have already disabled the "Header and Footer" to prevent them from blocking the actual lines, but that does not work. In the attached PDF file, you can see the name of the 2nd poster "CEHParrot" disappears. It seems that the original Reddit post is like a flow. When printing it as a PDF, the PDF page breaks the flow and makes it lose some lines.   

I can't print from Acrobat Pro to our main printer. I can print from any other app to that printer. I can print from Acrobat to a smaller printer.  I have uninstalled Acrobat, rebooted, and reinstalled Acrobat. Still same problem.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer. Still same problem. 

Hey,How do I send multiple files at once for signature? I do not intend to send to multiple recipients, but only multiple files to the same one. 

Hi All,I have spent 2 days trying to fix this problem I have the latest Adobe editor desktop, on a windows 10 hp laptop,  when I try to print a double sided document the front page is fine but the back pack page is distorted and not legible I have tried every solution on chatgpt and other online suggestion, Adobe support were not able to assist neither was our organistional external It support. I am wondering if anyone has experienced this before. Thanks

Suddenly unable to print pdf documents that I printed 2 days ago.  Only half pages are printing?

Good day, community.  I have a form that has multiple subforms, produced using AEM. It is working fine with the exception of this.Background: The subform has an addInstance function, and when that is clicked, it copies the rest of what is in the subform. Same goes when the user clicks the remove button, it activates removeInstance function. Everything is fine except when the user decided to save the form. It saves the data as long as there is one instance of the subform. If the user adds 2 or more instances of the subform and saves it and opens it, the 2nd instance of the subform is not retained, only the 1st one. Any ideas why is it doing that? Hopefully, you understand what I meant. Thank you in advance.

Neither of the three calculation fields (Value, Simplified field notation, Custom calculation script) will save anything when I edit them. They just revert to greyed out after I have finished adding a calculation, does not matter what I input, I've tried everything. This is on a blank document created in Acrobat Pro and saved locally to my hard drive. The weird thing is I have another cloud pdf doc where calculations work just fine. After some experimentation, I tried copying a working field from the other document to the blank document. Then the Simplified field notation field would save correctly, and I was able to change the formula to fit my field names in the blank document. But if I change this field to a Value and try to pick the fields, we're back to not saving anything. If I then go back to Simplified field notation and input anything, it now won't save, so it is now broken. So it is kinda doable with the workaround as long as you keep it as a Simplified field n

I have a user with following issue--  user digitally signs a PDF document.  When he tries to do a 'Save As'  and use the SAME filename,  an error message appears  "The document could not be saved. Cannot save to this filename. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder."    The original filename is changed to a .tmp file.    We already tried the suggested fix of: -> Preferences, Security (Enhanced)  turning off "Enable Protected Mode at Startup."   Removing and reinstalling the application doesn't seem to help.   User states this error message never appeared in the past but only recently.  (He was able to Save As to the SAME filename in the past after adding a digital signature.)Below is the version of Adobe being used:Continuous release | Adobe Acrobat version 2025.001.20756 | 64 bit Please suggest of any way to fix this issue.      

When I want to add text, the text defaults to white, not black. Also, my signature template is never available to use.
