Hello All, Currently having an issue where we're pre-filling some fields of a form which has check boxes and text fields, but when requesting an e-signature and the recipient recieves the e-sign and goes to complete it, the check boxes that were previously checked are now empty, but the text fields still have the info before sending them. I've seen fixes of saving the semi pre-filled file seperately, then requesting with that file, but I'm looking for an easier fix for users not having to do that. Thanks.
I want to submit a children’s book (bright colors) to Amazon KDP. All pages created in RGB. I used Acrobat to create a combined PDF of all the interior pages. It looks to me like all the RGB colors were retained-- which is what I wanted.I need to save the file in PDF/X format. I’d like to save it as a PDF/X-3 because I’ve read that you can retain RGB colors in the PDF/X-3 format (as opposed to PDF/X-1a which forces CMYK).But I can’t seem to make this work in Acrobat. When I try to create the PDF/X-3, Acrobat forces me to choose a PDF/X-3 conversion profile that converts the colors to CMYK-- at least it sure looks that way because the colors in the resulting PDF/X-3 are MUCH DULLER than the colors in the original file.Any suggestions? How do I create a PDF/X-3 and somehow retain RGB color??
A coworker reported this error message today when trying to digitally sign a document in Acrobat: "This document contains embedded actions (e.g. OpenAction or Additional Actions). These actions are supported in this version of Acrobat, but may be disabled in future versions. For long-term compatibility, consider requesting a version without embedded actions form the document author."The error message includes a link to this page with a bit more information:https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/embedded-action-signing-warning.htmlGiven that we produce a lot of documents that are signed by the public, this message was concerning. The documents don't have any JavaScript or anything added by us, although some PDFs were exported from InDesign. The staff member is using version 2025.001.20997. This error doesn't seem to happen in earlier Acrobat versions, we also tested with 2025.001.20630. We did a little more troubleshooting and found that the error message appears only if you set the 'Initia
I have an old PDF file that I protected with a password, but I’ve completely forgotten what it was. I need to access the file urgently for important information, but I can’t open it due to the password. Is there any safe and effective PDF password remover tool or method that I can use to unlock the file without damaging it? I’d prefer a free or reasonably priced solution if possible.
When using organise pages in Acrobat to extract some pages, once the extraction is done and the extracted pages are closed, when you click back onto any page in the original document, acrobat grabs that page and jumps back to the top of the doc and drops the page wherever the cursor is. Only started happening with the latest update, never been an issue before, and it’s incredibly annoying when trying to extract a series of pages from a long document, as it effectively moves pages around.
I have a PDF file that is password-protected, and I need to access or edit its contents. Is there any simple and reliable tool that can help remove the password? Preferably something easy to use for beginners.
Recently Acrobat has started a strange behavior of clearing out the entire file name when I try to use a decimal as part of the file name. For example, when I have a new document, and I click Save As, I start typing the file name, and if I type a decimal, the next time I type a space after that decimal it clears out the entire name. So - “Test - 1234 - Testing - 1.99 “ As soon as I type the space after the “99” it clears out the entire file name. If I do not type a decimal, there’s no issues. Is this a bug? It never used to do this prior to a 5-6 days ago when it started.
I have created a PDF document from Word that has in-text hyperlinks, whereas you click on the link and it will take you to another page within the document. When I test it using NVDA screen reader, it will read the sentence up until the line that says “page 2”. For example it will read: “For more information, please see.” and will stop before reading the intext hyperlink that says “page 2” at the end of the sentence. I have no issues with external hyperlinks, only ones that link within the document. Just looking for some guidance or assistance in fixing this issue.
Still not resolved… To batch process invoices from MS Word doc to PDF I’ve used Acrobat Pro's Create PDF > Multiple Files which has worked fairly smoothly for years. Definitely worked May 1/26 invoicing. Then on invoice day at beginning of April, it's now not working and still doesn’t work with updates.Acrobat Pro won't process the Word files and getting message saying that I have to change MS Word Privacy Preferences. It appears that Microsoft is not allowing the Word docs to be processed locally and forcing a user to batch on the MS website/cloud (Connected Experiences), which I DO NOT want. This was never an issue before. I don't know if something is broken or they simply changed something where you can't do batch processing on your computer (locally) and forcing you to use MS Connected Experiences. Any help would be appreciated.Working with:Acrobat Pro Version 2026.001.21431Word Version 16.108.1 (26041915)Mac Mini M4 Mac OS Sequoia 15.7.4
Since the AI Assistant feature was introduced, I've been experiencing a consistent issue with Acrobat on Windows 11 Pro (fully updated, original licensed version). Every time I open the app, it freezes for a while, then unfreezes, freezes again, and eventually becomes usable. However, this pattern repeats every time I close and reopen the application. My system is not the issue: SSD, dedicated GPU, plenty of RAM and storage. All my Adobe apps are up to date, and the problem seems isolated to Acrobat. I strongly suspect the issue began with the AI Assistant integration, as everything was smooth before. In addition, I have a long-standing question: why do Acrobat updates not appear in the Creative Cloud desktop app like other Adobe apps (e.g., Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator)? I've always had to update Acrobat manually from within the app itself. Is there a technical reason for this separation?I'd appreciate any insights, solutions, or explanations from the community or Adobe staff. Thanks
Adobe Acrobat is the worst that exists and is a waste of money, a lot of monthly expense, and you can't perfectly edit the forms
Hello, I have attempted the workaround methods for error 105 when trying to save a document as stated in previous posts. I believe this has to do with adobe not recognizing my account and keeps telling me to subscribe, although my account shows the payment history to Adobe Acrobat DC for the past year. Does anyone have a solution to this problem, if they have encountered it before? Otherwise, I will be finding another program that works with PDFs and cancel this subscription.
How can I cancel the Adobe Acrobat free trial before they charge me? It’s not under “Manage Plan” because the only active plan I have there is Lightroom, and that’s the only one showing to cancel. But I received the confirmation email for the Acrobat free trial saying it will automatically charge in 7 days. Can you help me please?

Updated almost weekly with minial feature advancements or performance improvements in sight, this horrific tool needs a re-write. I cannot believe the industry tolerate such garbage.
I've been trying to create a form for over an hour. First I got the "109" error like four times. Then I finally get the document to do what I need it to do but upon saving, the document is all white and now completely useless. What a joke! Does this company even beta test anything before realeasing it to the public and having people pay for this garbage?
My colleagues and I have come across a problem when we combine files that only seem to be a problem on their machines and not on mine. I am working on an Imac and they are on higher-spec PCs.The problem occurs when combining files together. The combine file function will work fine on all PDF files, but returns an error on most word documents saying "Error during Processing", and skipping them. It doesn't seem related to the file size as it has returned the error for files under 50kb as well as on the larger ones. We have tried downloading the files and saving them to a folder on the desktop to make sure it isn't related to the path length or being online (again, the PDF files saved into the same location don't have any issues). When the files are first added to the combine file section and the previews are generated, it has no issue or errors with them.Does anyone have any other ideas for why this is happening and how we can fix it?
I've used Adobe Acrobat Reader quite a bit in past, and have some experience coding, but am new to Adobe Acrobat Pro. I'm working on taking pages from an existing PDF that we have typically printed and filled in with pen and paper and converting them with Acrobat Pro into fillable forms. I have the fields all set up, but I have a series of fields that are for numbers that I need a custom validation script on. The reason is that sometimes these fields are not used, and then they have to have "N/A" put in them. If I just change the format to number, then it doesn't let me type "N/A" in the field. I found a custom validation script that seems like it should work: var value = event.value; if (value === "N/A") { // Allow "N/A" event.rc = true; } else { // Check if it's a valid number with up to 2 decimal places var regex = /^\d+(\.\d{1,2})?$/; if (regex.test(value)) { event.rc = true; } else { event.rc = false; // Reject input if not a valid
Recent updates to Acrobat have made the software frustrating to use when filling out PDF forms (like the IRS W-9). Here's what I've experienced:The font on entered text looks distorted and unreadable. I tried adjusting the rendering settings in Preferences, but nothing fixes it. I ended up switching to Preview just to fill out the form. Adobe Acrobat, which I pay for, feels like it's actively working against me. Toolbar changes are difficult to follow, and certain features have disappeared entirely. The signing workflow used to feel seamless but now it's fragmented. I have to manually type the date in a separate step. There's also no option to use a cursive font for signatures or dates, which should be a basic feature. My current workaround is using the Initials feature to type the date, but that's not a real solution for software that's supposed to make PDFs easy to work with.Suggestions:Fix the font rendering issues in fillable forms. Restore or improve the Prepare Form or Fill &
I want to drag a text box from on page to another. But when i try, the object hits an invisible wall and wont let me move it to the next page. How do I drag a text box/object from one page to another? I am using PC. Acrobat 2022.
There is a slight delay when the PDF opens and the 'Suggestions for you' pop-up bottom bar appears. This results in negative behaviour: When you start filling in a form field, the appearing bottom bar steals focus and prevents you from completing it. Please prevent this focus stealing from happening.
I have a PDF that I'm attempting to make more accessible. I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro (Continuous Release | Version 2004.003.20180). I ran the auto-tag function, which did a very good job. But there are some issues I'd like to fix. This document is very simple: just a single column of text divided into paragraphs. The tag and container structure, for most of the paragraphs, looks like this: But, in some paragraphs, the content is broken up into multiple containers. Here's a typical case, where the first line of the paragraph is in its own container, and the rest of the paragraph is in another one: From a scemantic markup standpoint, this bothers me, though, from an accessibility standpoint, it likely doesn't matter. But there are other situations where I suspect it would matter, where some of the containers overlap: The H1 tag at the top of this same document--the only thing in it that isn't in a P tag, is a similar case. Rather than having everything in one contai
