This is a lie: I have given the program the permissions it requires and almost any time I try to open a PDF when the program is already running, I get this message. If I quit Acrobat and then open the file, it will usually open it (not every time but most of the time). I am attaching screenshots of my permissions on my Mac (MacBook Pro, 2023, Apple M2 Max, 64 gb RAM running Sequoia v15.5).Never had this problem before and this is a new computer (to me—just bought less than a month ago).

Up until recently, I had no issues with scanned pages being printed out successfully. Now the content of the scanned pages is not being printed.

Is there a way to request documents and have clients attach them to an Adobe document I send to them?

Hi all. Working on fixing a fillable form for a landscape design team to make it accessible. The form was untagged. I'm adding H1-H3 tags, P tags, and Form field tags. The first page worked fine but as I continue, a weird thing keeps happening. I will add tags by selecting the text, create tag from selection. It will show in the tags tree. All the heirarchy and order is fine. Then I will save the document and the tags will go blank. There will still be P tags, etc., but the content will disappear. So I'll go and add the tag again, and it will add in addition to the blank content in the tag. Then I'll remove the empty content and save, and the text I tagged will be removed from the tag again and I'll have a blank, empty tag again. I tried saving the document with a different name, closing and reopening, and I've tried using the Reading Order tool to make sure the text is tagged that way, and it keeps happening. Any tips or tricks?

Hi all I have been trying to troubleshoot the issue of opening PDF files via SharePoit using the desktop app. I have searched high and low but have not come across a permanenet solution. One of the strangest things is that some users can open PDF files via Adobe Acrobat without issues, while others cannot and it seems to open via the web browser as default, here is a list of everything I have done to troubleshoot this issue: 1. Changed the settings in SharePoint for all documents to open using the desktop app2. Acrobat has been changed as the default PDF handler in Windows 113. Removed Enable Protected Mode at startup in Acrobat4. Hello -A colleague of mine asked me to "develop" a small app that convert in batch"High Resolution" .PDF (ie. Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities, Create Acrobat Layers from Top-Level Layers, …) to "Low Resolution" (including NO "Compatibility with Illustrator", "layers" visibles, …).I was first thinking to make an Applescript (since working on Mac) that open Acrobat to re-save the High Res .PDF, etc. But apparently I come against some OS Security restrictions (EVEN I allow "Accessibility permissions to control other apps (like Acrobat)" to my exported Appescript app).1st question:Is it that hard to code such a thing with Applescript?2sd question:I was thinkung to repalce the Adobe PDF engine by the OS default one "Quartz".But Will I keep the embed profile ans o on from my original .PDF?3rd question:Is there a better option? Hello, I am an IT administrator working with an end-user who is unable to access premium features, (specifically the Organize Pages tool), despite having a valid Acrobat Standard license. This end-user is running Windows 11 Pro 10.0.26100 on their PC. When trying to access this tool, we receive the message, "Organize Pages is getting installed. Please wait to use this tool." Additionally, when closing out of Acrobat completely and re-opening it, Acrobat will prompt to install premium features but eventually fail. It gives the error "there were some installation issues we're trying again" repeatedly, without end. To troubleshoot, I tried uninstalling Acrobat directly and reinstalling it through Adobe Creative Cloud. When I try to install Acrobat on their PC through CC, it fails and provides this error log: Exit Code: 7Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting. My wife, Linda G. Ford,  has acquired the copyright to her 1991 book Iron-Jawed Angels in order to issue a reprint.  The book is not to be confused with the HBO film of the same name and and subject matter starring Hilary Swank and Angelica Huston.  But that is another story.  And maybe another post probably more appropriate for a copyright law discussion group. Linda typed about a third of the book on a 1931 manual typewriter before switching to an IBM Selectric.  She did not think computers and word processors to be a good way to go.  The book was retyped in the late 80s or 1990 on a Mac or Apple computer and the pages were sent to the original publisher for printing.   The book was eventually made into graphic page files and was never converted to machine readable text althought it has stayed in print until now.  That's how I came to this project and began learning Acrobat and InDesign. The pictures are the Royal typewriter

The client will update the content themselves in Adobe Acrobat, but all typography and layout must remain locked to brand standards.Specifically, the design requirements include:Article headlines: Gotham Bold, 14 pt, tracking 60, custom RGB value — styling must remain fixed and uneditable.Body text: Gotham Book, 12 pt, black, with specific leading and justification (justified with last line left) — also locked from modification.My initial approach was to build the layout in InDesign using text form fields, but that doesn’t seem to give me the control I need. I also tried Illustrator + Acrobat form fields, but I can’t find a way to enforce all of the type attributes such as leading and justification.What is the best workflow to accomplish this—a template where clients can only replace the copy while all typography and layout

Hi,Since Adobe Acrobat 2025.001.20630 (32-bit) update, Adobe Acrobat Distiller crashes when trying to convert .ps -> .pdf using .joboptions containing key/value pair "/DoThumbnails true". Instead of output PDF file, empty temporary file is created (ex., AD$5A45.tmp). "/DoThumbnails false" parameter seems to work fine. Hotfix 20643 does not help. I am attaching a minimal sample of failing joboptions and simple .ps file (lorem ipsum). Problem, however, exists for other .joboptions (containing "/DoThumbnails true") and .ps files we tested as well. Any help would be greatly appreaciated.

Hello,i would like to ask if there is some compatibility matrix for supported signature algorithms and hashing functions for PAdES signatures? There are two specs ETSI EN 319 142 and mainly ETSI TS 119 312 (which discribes Cryptographic Suites). Documents contain some "required" (shall support) and some "recommended" (should support) suites. However, it seems that the recommended suites are not implemented. For example, the combination of EC-DSA (with EC secp384r1) + SHA3-384 seems to not working (we have to use SHA-384 because SHA3 shows "unsupported algorithm"). Is there some comatibility matrix? Or is there a plan to extend support for recommended suites in the near future? Thanks.

I am trying to install a crisp signature image into Acrobat and each attempt renders a blurred image. When I insert the signature as a regular image it renders fine. When I insert the image using the Add Signature function, it renders with a grey board and the color changes.  Is there a special way to create and load signatures in Acrobat in order to use the Signature function? In that attached sample, the top signature is using the Add Signature funtion and the bottom is using the general Add Image function.   I've tried jpg and png formats. I've taken screenshot of the clean original to create a seperate file. At the advise of Adobe suport, I've recreated the file by creating a new signature on a piece of paper and taking a high resolution photo. I always get the same result. 

Hi, I have a text field and a hidden checkbox named 'Check Box1', what I need is when user writes 'Yes' in text field, checkbox shows and border and text color should be green and it should be checked with checkmark, if user writes 'No' then it should be red color and cross instead of checkmark, else it should be unchecked and hidden, can someone help please?

Currently an account I have is saying it cannot be used as it is saying I have reached my device activation limit. I have checked inside the account online and found 2 chrome windows 10 devices under active sessions. When I try to click End session, they do not go away. I believe this is causing issues and not allowing me to access my account and need help to get this fixed up.

Hello Adobe, we are now aware that it is possible to download Adobe Acrobat Reader without installing McAfee however we didn't realise when we downloaded Acrobat Reader that we need to opt-out of having McAfee downloaded as well. Our question is - is it sufficient that we uninstall McAfee and continue to use Acrobat Reader or do we have to uninstall Acrobat Reader and start over, installing the single version of Acrobat Reader only? We would like to know whether there are any interdependencies between the bundled version of Acrobat Reader and McAfee compared to the single Acrobat Reader version. Please advise. Thank you.

Hello, I have the following problem: I own Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020, for some time the problem occurs, when I want to export a pdf, then only a .log file is created. the error message is:%%[ ProductName: Distiller ]%% Aptos not found, using Courier. %%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%% %%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %% i need help, pls, thks a lot 

I opened the download link on my PC but only got as far as creating Cloud when a screen appears offering Acrobat Pro, which I haven't signed up for, but no further as there is no "no thank you" alternative option. Therefore it won't continue the Acrobat Standard software installation.  Regards   David  

HelloI don't know if it's the new PC or what, but when I open an Excel or Word doc in a folder, and want to save it as a PDF, it is not putting it in the same folder but a folder I may have used a day ago.  It didn't used to do this.  It used to save it in the same location that the original doc is.  How can I get it to save it in the same place that the original Word or Excel file is?

Sometimes label text in my fillable form moves around and gets separated into different labels whenI move it.  Sometimes the text overlaps from within the same text box.  Sometimes the justification messes up the spacing of a line, and when I check the formatting it is correct, and I cannot un-justify the paragraph (I have to retype the whole text from scratch to fix it.)  Sometimes adding a space causes the line to justify.   I am so frustrated with this software. I guess my question is, what is the best way to put my static text into a fillable form so that I can easily format and edit it?   And easily adjust the spacing so that it appears next to my fields.

I've just purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro 2018 1 device key. I've since installed it on one computer. Now I'd like to have it on a second computer and unregister the 1st computer. Will Adobe automatically unregister my first computer if I use the same key to install on a second computer? Adobe support was unable to provide any assistance to me. It directed me to come to this community for help. Please let me know what would happen. Thank you.
