I will scroll to the far upper left corner, and zoom in one or two clicks, then BAM I'm back at the center of the image.  Makes everything take 3x as long.  

Acrobat is without a doubt the worst software I have ever used. It crashes literally nonstop, it’s super slow, like gouge your eyeballs out slow, it will randomly delete letters of text and bullet points when you go to save/export the file, its UI is just about as awful as it gets - think of every other standard you come to expect from a software, and it is different in acrobat, it really is a very unfamiliar program - and the compress feature is HOT SHIT. Acrobat’s idea of compressing a PDF to make the file smaller is simply to delete 80% of the elements in the document! Case closed! You get a white piece of paper with random boxes and that’s it. For instance, I made a 2 page document it was 48 MB, so I thought I’d compress it… Acrobat spit out a completely white document that was 45 MB. I literally laughed out loud. Adobe seriously needs to retcon this piece of shit and start over. It’s honestly embarrassing. 

Adobe is too slow and takes long time to respond to any command, file size 3.22GB. Same issue is happening with different files. Thanks for help

**RESOLVED**: I used the ‘Add a text comment with a border’ tool and filled it with the color white. I then just flatten the PDF so it can’t be modified. In older versions, there used to be an option to add a text box with a background color. This was an effective way to white out unwanted areas while also writing text over them. That option doesn’t seem to be available anymore. The only alternative I have found is putting a white box (fill) over the unwanted sections, saving and exiting out of the PDF, and then putting text over it. Is there a single tool that can achieve the same effect? E.g. I would like the text to be on top of the box, not be covered by it.  

Hi All,I have a staff member that uses Adobe Acrobat Pro and Google Drive, primarily.  I’m trying to narrow down the issue she has.  I don’t know if it is something specific with Adobe or not.Sometimes she will move a file, sometimes she will merge files, sometimes she will rename a file.  During this, the application hangs, or she gets a message that she doesn’t have the feature in her license, and sometimes she gets a popup that says, there isn’t enough memory to process the operation.I checked all hardware and did diagnostics.  everything comes back fine.  She’s on Windows 11 Home.  As Acrobat Pro is her main application, I posted here as well as other places.  Kind of at a loss here.Thoughts?

Hi, I was trying to sign a PDF and I saved a signature through Fill & Sign. I tried deleting the saved signature but it didn't work. I opened the signed panel and clicked on the minus sign next to the saved signature but it still didn't work. I don't think I can even click on that minus button. Please help me and ask any questions if you have, thank you.

We have an Adobe Acrobat Standard license. Randomly last week, it stopped working. I tried to repair creative cloud and Acrobat, but it would fail. I then uninstalled and reinstalled both Acrobat and Creative Cloud, but now when I try to install acrobat from Creative Cloud, it will hang at 42% and then fail the install around 57%. I installed manually as well from the web, where it also fails around 83%. I have also tried installing Reader and updating it where it will then fail. Sometimes when I try to install reader, it will also say that a higher version is already installed, but there isn’t. When I try to install premium features, it also fails and keeps trying again but never completes. I have tried using the cleanup tools, deleting everything Adobe from the computer, installing on an admin account. Any help is appreciated!

When I try to combine JPG as PDF it only does a maximum of 16 files. Why is this? I used to be able to combined many more files in one go.  IF I select 30 files and go to combine files in Acrobat it only takes through 16.

Hello,I would like that in acrobat, when I do “save as” / “PDF with reduced file size”, acrobat could save it using distiller with the minimal file size. How to do it ?Because actually I am obliged to save my PDF in postcript, then open distiller and choose “minimal file size”.

I’m running Acrobat Standard 2020.  I have a fill-in form with a Date field.  When I click on the field, a calendar drops down making it very easy to enter a date.  I also have an appointment Time field.  Is there a similar drop-down to make it easy to enter time?  (ex. 11:45 am)

For the past year or so I have been editing pages from PDFs in Photoshop. I clock 'Edit PDF' on the main menu in Acrobat and then right click the page in question and select 'Edit Using > Photoshop.'Until last week, there were no issues, but now I get a dialogue in Photoshop saying "Could not open [document.pdf] because a colour was specified using an unsupported colour space" and the page doesn't open. I also have to close Acrobat down and reopen the same document when I've managed to edit a page as planned.Both apps are using the same colour space and the error occurs in random pages. I'm using Win 11 and both apps are updated to the current version.Any clues please?

I am getting charged $32.39 every month for a non-existent account. The withdrawal is coming from Adobe Acropro Subs XXXXX6000 CA.  I cant ask customer support for help because they say its for "paid" customers, but my account is non-existent.  Please help.

Hi all, This is a problem that has been going on for years, and it's time it was addressed. I came across this post in 2020 https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/update-of-acrobat-dc-changes-default-printer/td-p/11671150 that describes the same problem. I've been tolerating it for at least as long, but I'm so tired of it, that I'm going to try to bring it to the attention of Adobe, as I'm sure it needs a development fix, rather than something in setting, or something I'm missing. If you don't have Adobe Acrobat as your default printer, or if you only use the default printer preferences, you will not even know that this problem exists. I try not to print out anything I don't have to, to paper, so I always have my default printer set to Adobe Acrobat. I do not let Windows manage the printer, because that's a stupid feature and can't possibly help me, or anyone else in this world in any way at all, that can't be solved by specifying the default printer manually

I am trying to password protect around 1000 pdf files and I can't find any useful article regarding this problem. I am using Adobe Acrobat XI. I tried it with Acrobat X and it worked,but when I try to create an action in Acrobat XI,it works only if I open each file individually. Is there any way I can apply this action to multiple files?

I use Acrobat Pro primarily to create fillable forms for my clients to fill out, sign and return.  My intake packet is 13 pages long (think new patient packet).  My goal is to have the fillable fields have the following characteristics:  Courier New, Size 11, Blue.  This makes it easier to differentiate the form text from the responses.  Right now, I am going through the form and having to click on properties for every single field to change it.  I need to change the default for the fillable fields so when I “Prepare a Form” and Acrobat fills the right places with text boxes, etc., they are formatted correctly.  Any help?  I am very new to this and understand there is a learnign curve.  

 I just want to get rid of the bubble at the bottom of my screen for the AI assitance. Can this be turned off so that I don't have to hide it each session? I hate that it's there and in the way. I understand that I can go to preferences and turn off the generative AI stuff. I tried that. it doesnt work, as it's already unchecked. 

Hi,  Trying to make my pdf web accessible, but there are several "images" that say other elements alt text failed when I run the checker. They're all decorative images or other elements, not actual images. They're not found in the content or tags panels. How can I fix?

Hi All!I’d like to preface by saying I am a complete noob at scripting and appreciate any help I can get.I am tasked with creating a document for work that maps from our core system.  The main mapped field is named “borrower(s) legal name(s)” which comes from a single application note in our core.  This means all borrowers have to be entered into one field, separated by entering to the next line, i.e. 4 borrowers the one mapped field would come over like this:John SmithMary SmithJoe SmithMoe Smith These names need to be split individually into 8 more fields on the last two pages, with each name having one line on each page, i.e second last page has borrower names, so.. Borrower 1=John Smith, Borrower 2 = Mary Smith, etc..  Last page has present party names for notary, i.e. Present Party 1 = John Smith, Present Party 2 = Mary Smith.I created 4 fields (“legal1” “legal2” legal3” “legal4”) and added them to page 8 and 9 next to each corresponding name (Borrower 1 = “legal1”, Present Party

I've been a long-time user of Adobe Acrobat Pro products for over twenty years, and during that time I have never had trouble digitally signing documents until now.  In the past month or so (Sept-Oct 2020), I've noticed that if a colleage sends me a PDF document to sign after already having signed it him/herself, I cannot add my signature field to it.  The document is locked for any further editing, including adding form fields such as digital signatures.  The Fill & Sign features also does not work because the first author of the document did not add a second signature field for me to sign. The only workarounds I've found that work are: 1) Ask the person to go back to the original unsigned document, add two signature fields, sign one, and send to me to sign the other; and 2) Just send me the original unsigned document, I add a signature field for my signature, and send to the person to then add the second signature.  While these do skirt around the problem

Now that Microsoft is using the new Aptos Font everywhere, how do we print to PDF?  Everytime i try i get a error message that ends " %%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%"  Other than highlighting the document and changing the font, i can no longer print to PDF.  This is an issue as I print to PDF many times over a day to conform to our business process.    Will this be fixed soon? 

Hi. I can’t get sign with certificate to work on this one PC. It’s a fairly new install. When the user clicks sign, the usual window that shows up to save the signed version of the document does not open. I have tried deleting the acrobat folder in roaming appdata to clear the cache, I have tried disabling protective mode on startup, I have done a repair of the app. The app is fully up to date. Reinstall did not work. Cleaner (https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html ) did not work. Nothing had worked so far. Anyone have any ideas?

This is what I’m talking about. They get worse as I move my image around,
