Hi,I would like to have a book that is structured as follows: I have gone through various RH help documents and know that actual behaviour of the Book TOC. But, I would like to know if there is any work around to align the headings in the same way as shown in the image. 

Hello friendsI'm using RH 2017 (13.0.2.334). I'm running into an odd problem. I have a fairly long code sample in a topic. In the generated output (Reponsive HTML5), RoboHelp is often putting everything in the code sample on one line when I click on the topic from the search results. It looks really bad, like this: However, when I click on the topic from the TOC, or use the Next / Prev buttons to arrive at the topic, it looks fine, like this:The problem occurs only when clicking on the topic link from search results. The code sample in question has this structure:<div class="ExampleLong"><pre><code>Code Stuff Here</code></pre></div> It seems like a RoboHelp bug to me. Has anyone else seen or been able to duplicate this?I tried adding in a style definition in my CSS file for the pre tag to see if that would help.It made no difference.

Is it possible to link Index entries to different sections in a topic instead of just the whole topic?I have a scrollable topic which 3-4 sub-topics and I would like different Index entries jump to those sub-topics instead of the top of the topic.Judy

I have a project where the main content is one very large table. When I output to PDF, the table breaks in the middle of rows between pages. Is there a way to keep rows together?

I did an HTML5 output in 2019 classic. I searched the term TEC-X and it brought up 367 results. Many of them were just the letter X. Is there a setting in the ouput that I need to change so that it just searches for whole words? Below is an example of what I am saying: Thank you in advance for your help.  

Version 2020.5.71I am currently creating a parent project for the first time. I have added my child projects and all looks good except I would like to know if there is a way to use conditional tags to create separate indexes for each child project. They have all merged together. I have tried a few things but nothing seems to be working. Thanks,Chantal

When I manually export a translation on the xlf file I would like to visualize to origin and translated content (if it exists); is it possible? currently I visualize only the origin language. Is there a method to view the original contents and their translated parts? Thanks for your help

Running RoboHelp 2020.5 I need to update an existing help system (built with RH 2015, possibly older and skin is no longer supported in RH 2020) that's delivered with a web-based application. The help is opened from the web-based application by end-users. However, since the web browser is configured to hide its tabs/menu/etc. for both the web app and the help, users can't (by default) close the help and return to the app. To address this, the legacy help system was built with a custom, integrated "close help" function. The 2020.4.173 User Guide has a procedure for creating inline snippets. However, when I look at the source code I see the same <p> tag as the snippets I create using the Content menu. When I insert the snippet as a line item, RoboHelp adds it as a <div>, causing it to render like this: 1.  Snippet text  Snippet image I noticed some snippets are added as <span> and some as <div>. I can revise the tag to bring the snippet text inline with the <li> number. Just wondering if there's a better way?

I'm using 2020.4.173 and attempting my first top nav output (frameless). The issue I'm having is with the submenu behavior. Everything looks good in the Skin Editor, but in my output, the menu closes after a second instead of staying open until clicked. Any ideas on what controls that behavior and how to fix it? Also, is there any way to have the menu open on hover?

Hi everyone, I'm looking to find out if anyone here has experience of putting a Frameless help center generated by RoboHelp 2020 behind a Google OAuth sign in for their organisation? We want to host a brower-based help center, but keep it private to Google accounts who are part of our organisation. It anyone has attempted this, or something similar, please let me know. Thanks for your time.

Greetings, I'm using Adobe RoboHelp 2020.5.71 and generate CHM's as output.  The Glossary tab in the CHM is not visible in the generated output.  Can anyone give me pointers as to what's needed to enable it. Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone, In RH 2020 (2020.5.71), is there anyway to move the page number to the right of the list item? Is there also a way to format the page number independently of the title colour? And remove the .....? Like this:  

I cannot locate this situation in the forums. I hope somoene is familiar with these elements. Using: RoboHelp 2020Skin: Studio Does anyone know where I can locate the mouse over text for the right panel? See image below for a visual reference. I want to remove the test “set as Favorite”.Also, I would like to move the highlighter button and its function to the “favorite” space, however, it is not real clear where the on-click  function adjustment can be located. I see under “buttons” in the topic page, there is a “button-X_ applied” field, but I do not see where the actual action is located in the adjustable fields. Does anyone know where to locate that or reference material I could access about these options?

Hello, I am testing source control with a test project on AzureDevops, I managed to set up the connection and copied the project locally, but when I edit a topic and then I prompt the check-in dialogue box, the topic with changes does not appear in the list, the dialogue box is empty so the Check in button is disabled.  Any idea why this is happening?Thanks!Angelica

I sent the programmer the whole project folder with all of its folders.Which file does he use to put in the build so that it the generateted output opens in the browser?I am using RoboHelp 2019 NEW UII generated Responsive HTML web help

I’ve started a project which requires using RoboHelp 2019 Classic to update some files. (We haven’t upgraded to RoboHelp 2020 and probably won’t for a while longer.) There have been some source control errors due to files that are in source control that should not be. (We use TeamForge.) So far I’ve found in particular that $rhvariable$.htm and <file_name>.ldb should not be in source control:https://community.adobe.com/t5/robohelp/rhvariable-htm-and-lt-file-name-gt-ldb-file-in-robohelp/m-p/11241604 Then the following file types are also listed as those that should not be in source control:* projectname.cpd* projectname.pss* projectname.hhp* projectname.trl* ehlpdhtm.jshttps://www.grainge.org/pages/snippets/snippets.htm#sourcecontrol Am I missing anything? Any other files relevant for a RoboHelp 2019 Classic project that shouldn’t be in source control?

HOping someone has experience with this issue or similar? When we convert an existing RH 2017 over to the new RH 2019 version, the existing bookmark links do not work anymore. They take one to the correct html top of page, but it doesn't go to the specific bookmark further down the page. After research we found out that the existing bookmark title contains upper-case letters in the title (example: Open_This_Page). And when we convert the upper cases letters to lowercase, then the book marks will work properly. But by doing this, folks that have bookmarked or used the previous URL bookmarks in various material will have broken links, unless they revise all of their version 2017 links.  Has anyone experienced this, and found a solution so the existing bookmark urls convert properly over to the new 2019 version?  Thanks you for any insight. 

Robohelp Version 2020.5.71 For some reason my import is creating a bunch of bookmarks I don't want. I am sure it comes down to the formatting in my Word doc (which I can't figure out) but at this point I would be happy to just use one function within RH that removes ALL bookmarks. Does this exist? 

Hi All, I am hoping someone can help with this as I've tried troubleshooting and looking at previous posts and cant find a solution. I have edited the style sheet in use on my project to provide every image with background shading and padding of 25px.  Having applied it : 1. I can immediately see the shading has been applied to the topic page in edit mode2. I can immediately see the shading has been applued to the topic in preview mode However, when I the save all changes and switch to View Output these changes are nowhere to be seen.  I have attached two screenshots to show you and - to make it obvious - temporarily set the background shading to red. I have tried this a number of times, double checked the changes have saved on the style sheet, tested the output in a different skin to see if that made a difference and (of course) also simply tried shutting down and rebooted but it is the same result. Interestingly, if i go into an individual

Running RoboHelp 2020.5 2 questions:Can an INDEX be included/provided for a Frameless output using the TopNavigation skin?Can a GLOSSARY be included/provided for a Frameless output using the TopNavigation skin? I specified both in my output config, but they aren't available/don't appear/I can't find them in the output. Thank you!

Publishing to SFTP does not work with RoboHelp 2020 update 5. SFTP is enabled - and working - on my Ubuntu server. I can connect to it and upload files using WinSCP (a simple GUI SFTP client for Windows). However, I can't upload files from RoboHelp directly, which is annoying. One thing I noticed is that when I configure the SFTP server's address in the publish profile, RoboHelp insists on adding "https://" in front of the IP address, and will not let you save with just the IP address. As it turns out, RoboHelp then tries to connect to "https://192.168.xxx.xxx", which will never work, since adding "https://" in front of the address makes it incorrect... This theory seems to be supported by the error message found in the publish log: Error: connect: client-socket error. Address lookup failed for host https://192.168.---.--- after 1 attempt To validate this theory, I manually edited the "Publish_profiles.json" file found in C:\Users\%username%\AppData\R

Not sure if this is how it's supposed to work, but if I select a variable for the Metadata Title in my PDF output preset, and generate the PDF, the PDF's Title property just contains the variable name and not its actual value. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug?

Hi, I have upgraded the project from RH Classic 2019 to RH 2020 after this applied masterpage with breadcrumbs to all topics but when chm file generated the seperator is overalapping the content name, please provide solution for this as we created masterpage again in RH 2020 but still issue is not resolved.

We have recently upgraded to RoboHelp 2020 and the first thing I did was to install the latest update (2020.5.71). I am trying to upgrade my existing RoboHelp 9 project but end up without any topics. All topics (and most images) are stored in sub-folders in existing RH 9 project. I cannot get a screenprint of  the RH 9 project as it constantly crashes on opening since I started running Windows 10 (which is why we upgraded to 2020). I am attaching a screenprint of the RH 9 project folders in Windows Explorer and also of the RH 2020 project folders. The project has 2 tables of contents (English & French) which are both shown in RH 2020 upgraded project but none of the content. Help topics I found online regarding upgrading classic projects to RH 2020 indicated that  topics/images in root folder would be moved to Assets folder while all others would remain in existing folders so the fact that topics/images in old project are in subfolders shouldn't be causing the issue.
