Hello,Using RH 2015, I was taking a document I had and putting it into a word document (printed material) format.What I noticed was some areas run off the page. It is almost like there is no margins set for all parts of the robohelp project.For the tables, I could go through and fix individually within Word by selecting the whole table that is off the page, right click, Autofit, Autofit to contents. This would be an ineffective way though being as everytime I publish (2x a year) I would have to repeat the same fields over and over again. (And it is 9000+ pages) Plus I still am unsure how i would fix the words running off the page still from within Word.How can I fix it from the source within RH? Have everything correct margin wise before I go to print?

hi, I have a robohelp classic 2019.0.14 and I work on a computer with windows 7. these days I have to switch to another computer with windows 10. How do I bring robohelp to the other computer. Is it possible to do another installation with the same serial number at least for a few days and then uninstall it from the old one? tksdaniela

I have linked a folder on my computer with multiple Word documents to my RoboHelp project. After they uploaded in RoboHelp, to create the corresponding Topics, I have to click 'Create/Update Topics'. Is there a way to Create/Update all Topics at once? Or do I have go to each separate link to create the Topic? Thanks 

I've converted an old RH project and am working through cleaning it up while trying to learn RH2020.  However, marketing wants the title and formatting changed.  I used the skin editor to make the formatting changes they requested, but I cannot figure out the source of the actual title text.  In the Skin Editor, it is Employee Care 3.  Thanks so much for your patience to all who are trying to rebuild everything. 

Hi all, I am very new to RoboHelp and also not a computer programmer. I have successfully (previously) created the project, added all my content with sections and topics and some sections with embedded subsections (e.g., level 2 or level 3 sections with their own topic pages). I was able to successfully generate Microsoft HTML Help (.chm) output files. However, after coming back to make updates several months later, any newly generated .chm file is not displaying the correct hierarchy from the Table of Contents?  For instance, all the content appears to be there, but level 2 sections that should be hidden until you expand the level 1 section heading are now showing up as level 1 in the generated output. The ToC looks correct in Author Mode. I don't understand at all. Some kind of issue introduced through a software update?... I have tried creating a new ToC from scratch but the same issue recurs... I am in version 2020.03.32.Any ideas appreciated.Many thanks.

Hello everybody, i am using RoboHelp 2020 and i have a problem. Maybe someone can help me. After upgrading an old project i tried to generate an output. That worked. But when i opened the chm data the folder structure is totally different from the structure/hierarchy of the Table of Content. It is kind of messed up. There are some points missing. Some folders are even empty. I am pretty confused, because i was reading about the new version and it was said, that the TOC controls what topics go into your outputs ( https://www.grainge.org ) After upgrading the old project the TOC is shown correct in the new project. Folders are in the correct hierarchy and folders are filled with the correct htm datas. Maybe someone has an idea what i am doing wrong.Thanks! Best Regards.  

I'm trying to try out the review functionality in RH2020.   I selected a couple of topics in the Review tab and shared the review with an alternate email address. I received the email and created an adobe account using the email address. But clicking the link in the email again says I don't have permission to view it.   You can’t access this link You don’t have permission to view it, or it may not be available. Please contact the owner and ask to invite you to this link, or switch accounts. You are signed in as <email address>   Is there anything else I need to do as the owner to get it to work?

For some reason the supplied scripts aren't showing in any projects in RH2020 (About Robohelp, or newly created ones, or upgraded ones). I know where they live in the Program Files folder, but I don't know where to copy them so they appear in my projects.   Any ideas?

Yesterday my office gave me a new laptop with Windows 10 on it. Previously I was running RoboHelp on Windows 8. Prior to getting my new laptop I made a backup of the RoboHelp projects I was working on. RoboHelp 2019 is loaded on my new laptop. I copied my backup files onto my hard-drive and now RoboHelp is running extremely slow on this new laptop. It takes a long time to open and display my project, when I click on a topic to edit it takes a while to load, when I click to insert an image or a drop down text there is a delay. It took almost an hour to output my file yesterday, where previously it took 5-10 minutes. I output in HTML. Basically if I try to do anything, click on a menu, use scrollbar, etc. there is a delay. I'm used to working very quickly. Just curious if anyone out here have experienced performance issues when moving to Windows 10 and running RoboHelp 2019. I'm the only one in our entire office that uses RoboHelp, so my IT department sadly is not much help. I'

I have a data model project that I upgraded from classic version to Robohelp 2019. Each table in the data model is a .htm file. When I generate using Frameless preset, and then view the output, the pages don't load completely and if I click on a link on the page it just hangs.The pages loaded just fine when generated from the classic version.Please let me know what kind of info you need to help with this. I am basically looking for a starting point as to where to look for the problem. Many thanks!

Hi,Since I updated Robohelp to the latest version the images from my master pages seem to be all over the place. I can see that the width of the images are now measured in percentage rather than pixels, I took a screen shot from previous version (2020.1.54) where the witdh was shown in pixels.The main problem is that on the newest version Robohelp wouldn't let me change the height or the width in order to re-adjust the images on my master page. No matter how I change it (source/author) it will default again to how it was previously.Any ideas how I can do it?I will post an image with before and after to get a better understanding.Thanks

I am fairly new to RH and am using 2020 w the 5 patch.  I am just trying to add bullets to help file.  When I select the bullet icon, the text size changes from what I am using the the paragraph. I have changed the setting in the bullet1 style to reflect what I want to see, but the text font remains incorrect.  

In RH20127, I kept geeting a note that breadcrumbs did not work in DHTML5 output.  Is that still the case with RH2020?  

So, I created a Skin, but it isn't available on the Layout tab for the WebHelp output.So I have to "save" the skin somewhere? Thanks for the help?

I am trying to publish a newly created project in the latest version of Robohelp and need some guidance.  I have the project saved on my local drive and need to publish it to the same location.  When I set up to publish this project I must have done something wrong because I cannot locate the published project anywhere on my local drive.  In addition, it seems that alot of the Asset documents did not copy.I relaize this is a fairly vague description, but if someone could point me to a tutorial about how to publish a project to a local drive using the latest version of Robohelp, it would really help.  Thank you.

I inherited a big help project that was maintained by someone who retired. I can make updates and such, but I need to migrate it from Classic to modern so we can source control the project.I managed to convert the project, but when I view the output, I'm seeing a project within a project. Also, the inner project seems to be trying to load the home page (index?, I'm not sure what it's called).Any thoughts on what's going on here? Other than adding/editing topics, I don't know much about Robohelp. Thanks!  

I'm currently using RH 2017, Responsive Layout.   I have used RH for 5+ years and I still have a lot of trouble creating the PDF.  We deliver both a PDF and a .html file to customers.  The PDF is only certain sections of the .html document, but it's still significant at about 600 pages.  I first generate the Word document.  This file requires that I spend probably 4-6 hours formatting it, fixing page breaks (so they are logical and clean!) , reducing/enlarging images so they look "normal" on a piece of paper, removing the dumb duplicate section titles,  adjusting table  sizes, heading rows, etc.  AND then, when I generate the PDF from the finally fixed Word doc, the numbered headers do not always display correctly as bookmarks, so I spend even more time re-creating about 60% of them.  For example, the numbering format in 1.0 Overview will display as just "Overview" in the PDF bookmarks, but 2.0 Installation, might display correctly

I'm about to migrate all the RH2017 content into a RH2020 project but I don't plan to mirror the same structure.  Here's the situation: I need build a project that uses different menus for different types of users.  The plan is to build a landing page to present information buckets for carriers, vendors, suppliers, and SaaS users and point them to the page with the menu relevant for them.  I don't want to create separate projects for each because SaaS users will be using 100% of the content; whereas, carriers, vendors, and suppliers will use smaller portions of the same.  The content for all information types is cross-referenced throughout.  So, the entire project content needs to be single-source.  Am I going down the wrong path on a way to create different information buckets that make use of the same content?  Is there a better way?  I'm thinking that there probably is. 🙂 Thank you!

What's happening? Is this some kind of sophisticated mockery of the user?       

The box is not closing after pressing Print button until second try. This is intermittent. After second press it will close but prints two docs. Anyone run into this and have a workaround? BTW, this is in Explorer as it is the browser used only for users...Thanks, Jeff K.

As we lost the original source code of project but we have its generated "WebHelp" directory content,can we generate the its original/new project from its earlier generated output?Please help me out here..

We had a harddrive crash with, yep - I know, no backups of this particular server.  I have an old copy of my project from 2015, but I really don't want to lose 5 years worth of updates. I do have the most current version published to the web and have brought it down to our server to try to decompile.  Unfortunately, the RoboWizard site that was offered as a soulation 10 years ago on this forum is no longer available.  I have purchased the newest version of RoboHelp.  And I do still have a copy of the old 2015 version if necessary.   Has anyone got any ideas on what to do?  Thank you in advance!  

When I click on an SSL to generate a Word doc, RoboHelp starts the geneation process, but doesn't complete. The typical 'Generating Printed Documentation' dialog appears, but then the 'Convert File' dialog pop-up window appears in the background with 'HTML Document' highlighted. Once this 'Convert File' dialog box appears, RH just hangs and doesn't generate a Word doc. Any advance on what's going on and how to fix this issue.

Robohelp 2020.5Windows 10Frameless outputHi all.After we generate a new output and publish it to our website, ToC goes to be broken for almost all users from different IPs, locations, PC's. Topics from Section A can be in Section C, etc. For example: And correct variant: Right now SNNP section contain 4 topics from Databases. (What is interesting, is that Databases section containss 300+ topics and SNMP section only 4, which means that ToC takes the real number of topics in current section and after that puts wrong topics). Locally - everything is fine, so we are thinking this is cookies issue.Our upload algorithm - delete all content of previous output -> upload new in empty folder We tried different browser, incognito mod, cache and cookie clearing - nothing. We also tried to go from empty VM - same result. Only 2% of computers display ToC correctly (we don't know why)
