Hello, I want to send a .chm file via email so another person can review the help system I created. When they receive it they are unable to view the file. Please let me know what I need to do so they can view the help. Thank you.

I cannot minimize the window in RoboHelp version 2020.4.173. Is this intentional or did something go wrong with the update? 

Hi everyone,I've encountered a strange issue with the RoboHelp Indigo HTML5 layout we have built for our online help.  The 'Glossary' feature is not filtering (searching for a specific word) when I type something into the Filter Terms bar. (see screenshot below)  The Filter/Search terms DOES work however for the Index feature.Is there something I can do to re-active or turn this functionality back on for the Glossary?Thanks so much again for all your help!Cheers,Billy H.

Dear colleagues,Could you please help me? How can I create such a multilevel header numbering structure using of new 2020 RoboHelp? I have already spend a couple of hours on this task without a good result.  

I have just completed the latest update for RH2020 and running version 4.0 (2020.4.173).  I am working in the Unused Files report.  I can delete the first item I choose but when I choose the 2nd file I receive an Application Error causing me to restart Rh.  Anyone else experiencing this? 

I am setting up a frameless format. I have the latest patch (2020.4). Does anybody know where I can locate instruction on how to change the exand/collapse icon from the right (at the end) of the table of contents title to the left (before) of the title? 

Hi,I know this problem has been solved before on Windows machines. It shouldn't be any different on my Mac, but I cannot figure it out. I installed the macOSx64 JRE installer from :https://www.oracle.com/in/java/technologies/javase-jre8-downloads.html .I also receive a Java Not Found error when trying to generate a PDF from the sample Compass Travel project. If no path is required by Robohelp, then as long as I have the correct version of JRE it should run. We're using RoboHELP version 2020.4.105.  When loading the initial screen of our WebHelp output there is a lengthy hang, followed by a message in Chrome console indicating a failed attempt to load https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js. The WebHelp output is adding this block of code at the very end of the main HTM file: <script>//<![CDATA[if(useTwitter === true) {!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0],p=/^http:/.test(d.location)?'http':'https';if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src=p+'://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js';fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document, 'script', 'twitter-wjs');}//]]></script> we found removing this script  (manually) resolved the slow load issue. Is there a way via project settings to remove this?  Or is this just a plain old bug that needs attention at Adobe? The code appears at the very end of the HTM page, in the "Scripts" section: <!-- Scr

If you see this message twice I apologize. RH14.0.9 I'm trying to create a pdf output that looks something like the first reply to this post. I'm running into the following problems: Chapter and section numbering in the body:I cannot get chapter numbering at all. I've tried a before: counter for <h1> in the pdf CSS but then all chapters are numbered '1' (one). I haven't even tried section numbering yet until that is resolved.Applying an automatic <h1>, <h2>, <h3> etc. depending on the place in the TOC:All my topics (also the subsections have their own separate topics) start with <h1>. The generated TOC shows the correct indentation but the topics themselves stay at <h1> for each heading. I would have hoped this was generated automatically, but currently I fear my only option is to use one topic for every complete chapter, and apply the H1, H2 myself. Is t

Hi All, I'm new to the forum and relatively new to RoboHelp overall. I've found posts on this issue that were resolved for previous versions of RoboHelp, but I'm wondering if anyone has been able to succesfully implement this for RoboHelp 2019. In my frameless output, when a bookmark is inserted into dropdown text and is linked to another location, that link brings the user to the unexpanded dropdown text. Is there a way for the dropdown text to be automatically expanded when a user clicks the bookmark link from another location in the project? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide! - Eric 

Is it possible to add a link to default Topic Page? TOC is to large for TOC Tiles so I'm hiding it. But want to provide a link to a default page where the TOC will show up. Using trial version of RoboHelp 2020

I don't know what's going on but I get the error box every 15 minutes telling me there is a program and I should restart. I have 32 gigs of ram, windows 10 2 terabytes of free space, and no viruses. What is going on here? It's hard to work like this

Hi there. First, I'll admit that I haven't used Robohelp since before the beginning of this century. So I'm trying to stay closely tied to the user guide as I proceed.Robohelp 2020.3.32, FrameMaker 16.0.1.817, Windows 10 system I created my Robohelp project and imported a FrameMaker file, using the corresponding .css file that was used for the FM file from an earlier version of the help system. In FrameMaker Import Settings, I specified the styles for starting a new topic, and my FM paragraph and character styles appear in their respective tabs - the FrameMaker Style column lists my styles, and the In RoboHelp column says "Import Style" for each. After a supposedly successful import, the Styles tab under Properties shows "(none)" for each of the style types (paragraph, character, hyperlink, etc.). I expected the styles from FrameMaker to appear here. What am I doing wrong?

I updated to RoboHelp 2020.4.173 to fix a problem I was having with .css files. After the update, I no longer see Responsive HTML5 as one of the Output Presets. I only see the following presets:eBookFramelessKnowledge BaseMicrocontentPDFWord DocumentNone of these options will work for me. Where did Responsive HTML5 go?

I use Robohelp 2020 to produce html output. My colleague uses Adobe Framemaker and Adobe Technical Communication suite 2020 to product HTML output. (I am not really familiar with the Adobe Technical Communication Suite? Is that essentially RH 2020?  Can I add my content to my colleagues project so that my content can be included in my colleagues HTML output? In other words, is it possible from a project in Adobe Technical Communication Suite 2020 to link to a toc from a RH 2020 project? 

Hello, I've downloaded the free trial version of RoboHelp, but before I install it, will this interfere/overwrite my current version of RoboHelp (2017)? I'm pretty sure it will install as a separate app, but wanted to make sure first. Thanks!

Has anyone successfully queried a database from Robohelp 2020? I'm checking to see if this is possible.

Very frustrating - we trying to publish a robohelp17 project from on-prem to sharepoint online and while the project generates without error and shows on local version fine, when publishing errors out with this without any log or details on where is the list of missing files ? The project has 1000s of files so very hard to debug without knowing more details. 

Hello! While testing the docs I'm writing using the Frameless HTML ouput (using the "Orange" theme, but heavily edited and customised), I've noticed that the top breadcrumbs and left-hand Toc take AGES to load (opening the build project locally). Checking the network waterfall using Chrome dev tools, I found that the file "search_auto_map_0.js" is taking a massive 12 seconds on average to download! It's fairly large - at about 900kb in size - but I have images that are larger than that (often multiple PNGs or GIFs on the same page), and they download almost instantly... so I'm not sure why this file is taking so long?Anyone else encountered this issue? Or have suggestions on how I can speed things up? 

When publishing HTML5 from RH2017 to RH Server, my layout appears but there is no content (no TOC, no default topic, etc.). I can successfully publish the same project from RH2020 to RH Server.  

An attempt to publish a project on the build server using the command line fails because the nominated output preset does not exist, so it seems output presets are NOT considered part of the project. We cannot create a preset on the build server, as we require a map file to be linked, and that IS part of the project. This is surely a bug, as the only way we can build on the build server is to first manually load the project in question then manually create the required output preset with the link to the map file. This is so far out of the envlope for a CI server - expecially where mutiple build agents are in use, andy one of which could be called upon to run the build.

I am using Robohelp 2020 with Windows 10 Pro.My colleagues created a Robohelp project to generate a Responsive HTLM5 web help system. The resulting system generated as expected.I am now updating this project. In the web help that I generate, where we have a book in the TOC, when I click on the top-level topic in that book, it does not open. I can open the topics below it, but not the first entry in the book.

I am using RH 2020.3.32 and am testing out the "Share for Review" feature with a co-worker. The co-worker does not have any problems but when I click the "Create Link" button, I get an error message "Share for Review: Unable to share <name of the review I set up". I have Creative Cloud Desktop installed (installed only recently) and it shows that I am logged in as the same user as RH. Any suggestions for troubleshooting?

I have made changes to my project - changed the TOC, the index, and a few topics.  When I publish, the changes to the topics appear both locally and on the server where I publish, but the changes to the TOC and the index do not.  I recently upgraded to the latest version of Robohelp and likely am missing some key step I have to do.  Am using Publish to webhelp.

The Set as Favorite icon is displaying on my published topics, but when I click it, it doesn't work. It does not add the topic to favorites. I'm wondering if I have to turn on a specific setting that I have missed in order for it to work. I'm having trouble with other icons as well. It seems the only button that works correctly is the Print button. For reference, I'm using the Indigo layout and output preset Responsive HTML 5.
