I'm using Adobe RoboHelp 2020 (Trial) and imported a MS-Word document to test out RH. I'm familiar with the concepts used in RH, having worked with an older version in the past. The problem I'm having now is with custom fonts. My company uses custom fonts called "Facto" which is installed on my PC. When I navigate to C:\Windows\Fonts on my PC, the "Facto" fonts appears as a folder of sorts (font family perhaps?) which contains 12 sub-types, like "Facto Medium", "Facto ExtraBold", "Facto Thin", etc... Now, the problem I see in RH is that only some of the fonts appear to be usable:- Facto- Facto Thin- Facto Light- Facto Medium- Facto ExtraBold All the other font variations appear in the font list, but they simply won't apply to contents when I try to use them.What I also noticed is that all the fonts that won't work are the ones which have built-in "modifiers", like Bold or Italic. For instance:- Facto Italic- Facto Light Italic- Facto Bold- Facto Bold Italic- Facto ExtraB

Hello,We recently upgraded our RoboHelp project files from RH 2019 Classic version to the RH2020. Our projects include few topics that use the twisty.js file implementation with expandable drop-down hotspots. The files include a long list of items. Using the Show All/Hide All button, we can expand and collapse all items on the page in one go.Post-upgrade, the expandable text for single item works. But, the twisty implementation has failed. The Show All/Hide All button isn't working. We tried to implement the same in RH 2020 using the new twisty file. But once we insert the button, it gets added to each and every item on the page and not as a single button for the entire page. Is there a workaround or any other setting that we are missing out?

I currently have Robohelp 2017. Is the upgrade from Robohelp 2017 direct to Robohelp 2019? Do I just run the 2019 installer? Where do I download Robohelp 2019 from?

I'm looking for a solution to use and publish 3D content with RoboHelp, something like FrameMaker does with U3D.I've been searching some time and I do not find very much about it.Does anyone have experience with this topic? Thank you in advance for your support!

Hi, Everyone. I suspect I'm just doing something wrong in generating a report. I want to see which topics have which condition tags applied. But the Topic Properties report indicates that none of my topics have any condition tags applied. This is incorrect. Most do. Any advice for me? Thank you!

We host our HTML5 help projects in the cloud. My cloud team tells me that the hosting service is unable to identify .htm files and they need .html files instead. I tried to convert the files manually using a tool; however, the pages broke when I tested. Is there a way to generate the entire project with .html files in RH 2019 (new UI)? I saw a post on this topic, but that one referred to a much earlier version of RH with no straightforward solution. 

Hi guys, I'm using RH2020 2020.3.32. I added custom font like in Peter's guide using the "@font-face" feature. It works for me in topics, but in homepage they are not displaying correctly in PC's without this font installed locally. This is how it shoud be (when font is applied correctly or when ran from pc with font installed) This is how it looks on another pc (font enabled)   Interesting fact: if I disable font in web console, the font will be changed to a different. This is how it looks in another pc (font disabled in web console) This is how font is specified for a title This is css:      

Could someone please tell me if it is possible to import a Dr. Explain project to RoboHELP? It's a .gui file. I'm beginning to think it's not possible, but it'd be useful to get a definitive answer.

Using RoboHelp 2017 and 2019How does one put constraints on a RoboHelp topic for the HTML Text <normal style> to wrap at 8.5 inches without putting it in table. I create a new project, and added a first topic. As I type the text keps going on without wrapping. Is there a code that can be added to topic in Design mode for the HTML to wrap?   The outher issue I have is....I want to create an alphattical list in a table, in the format:a).abcabcabcb). abcabcabcc). etc.I tried creating a milti-level list style, but the text does not wrap, it displays as...a). Do you want somecoffee? The text string displaying coffee, is part of a.)  and should align as follows, but it doesn't and I find no setting in style>edit, to align it.a). Do you want some      coffee? Thanks in advance. Assistance is apperciated. 

RH 2019 Review – Version 14.0.8For anyone interested here's my review of RoboHelp (RH) 2019 Update 8. Note that I posted this earlier in the week on the old forums but it didn't come over with the new forum changeover. So here it is again, with some minor updates. And speaking of the old forum (sigh)... I don't like what I've seen so far in the editor to create new content for the forum. First off, I can't indent text! We all know white space is good for readability. Secondly, I can only use this ugly serif font, Times New Roman or whatever this is. Thirdly... okay, I'll shut up now. This isn't a review of the forums, but perhaps I'll do that one in a later post.) About this ReviewI did this review to determine if RH 2019 offered significant reasons for me to upgrade my software and my projects. Hi everyone, I just upgraded from RoboHelp 2015 to RoboHelp 2020 and I'm really struggling with it.  It's so different than the Classic version.  I have many existing numbered and bulleted lists.  I was using a custom image as my "bullet" in RH 2015; but that did not come over in the upgrade.  Not only that, but my lists are not indented properly and some have two bullets on one line.  But those are other problems! My main question is...Does anyone know how to simply indent a bulleted list?  You used to be able to just click the Indent button on the toolbar, but that button no longer exists.  Here is the list I am trying to indent.  I want the list indented under the Special Notes heading.  I have many lists similiar to this that I need to indent.  I did see the "Alignment" option once...under the Properties panel, General tab.  However...I cannot get it to come up again and do not know how I got to it.  I have tried tuto

Can we add a short feedback form to the Frameless or Responsive HTML 5 online help output?Perhaps a small form with 1 or two questions about the help content in general. Is that possible?Any idea how to set it up and how can the responses be collected?

Hi, Team is building a reverse-engineered RoboHelp file that uses a lot of images. The rebuild RoboHelp project now contains about 5000 items, most of which are images. Every step in a topic is described with a screenshot that is shown to the user using a dropdown hotspot.   Inserting images took up a lot of our time. We had to search and re-insert the images. We would keep the WebHelp open in the browser, right-click against the image and click Save As to see the name of the png/jpeg/gif and then insert the image using Insert Image function and select the image from within the project folder in the pop-up window that appears, so the path would be  eg. Desktop/RoboHelp Project/image44.png.   The problem now is that for many topics the images are not appearing correctly after generating.   Images that belong to some other topic show up. At the same time, the same topic had displayed correct images in an earlier version of WebHelp.   This version was published wh

Does anyone know if/what Robohelp (2019) uses Creative Cloud Desktop for?   I have a problem that's just started, with it gobbling all my memory and crashing my computer. I'm in the process of trying to figure out how to manage our project in RH2020, after upgrading from RH2015.  I'm currently testing out the RH2020 trial version and am encountering some issues.I've upgraded the project and am trying to import a new word document, with the same document formating as  exisitng ones that were upgraded, and when going through the steps, I get the sussessfully imported message, however the new topic is not reflecting under the contents page.  I was expecting to see the same folder/subfolder format as the upgraded ones, but can understand it may differ as it's gone through a different process (imported oppose to upgraded). Probelm it's not reflecting under the Content list and I can't locate the CH file anywhere.   I fully understand this is most likely user error, as I inherited this project/software, and am trying to learn as I go.   Any assistance you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciate

Making Word output from a simple project. Apply the KB Blank.dotx template, where spacing to 0 before and 10pt after, as shown below. No bullets. When I look at the RH conversion from p to Normal, it shows .001pt spacing after and bullets. (added shot of that below too.) The resulting document uses the .001pt spacing, bullets, which then causes further problems with other styles based on Normal. This happened with several templates. Work around for spacing changed the value to the correct one. And that worked. Settings in the KB Blank.dotx as seen in Word! Very confusing. Very bad. Please shed light on this issue.

I am currently having an issue when using the ‘Collaboration’ feature within RoboHelp 2020.3.32.  My colleague has set up the GitHub connection from his application and managed to create the first commit.  He is able to then pull down the project and has some options available to ‘Push’, ‘Pull’, ‘Commit’ and more.However, I have completed the exact same steps to pull the project down and have managed to obtain a copy of the project, but I am unable to then push any changes back up.  I seem to not have the same options as my colleague has ( Pull, Push, Commit, etc ).  These are the options I have when attempting to use the collaboration feature: ( see image below )  I have followed every step correctly using the Collaborate using GitHub (adobe.com) website help page and I am unable to get this working.  Is there anything I might have missed out? Hi, Everyone. I'm trying out browse sequences for the first time (RH 2019, new UI, frameless). When I apply my browse sequence to an output preset and generate output, the process hangs. It gets stuck with the generate dialog open, perpetually indicating the continuing activity. (See screenshot):  When I remove the browse sequence from the output preset, the output generates without any problem. Any advice for me? Thank you!

The previous versions of Robohelp had Captivate so I could save buttons as BMP files. But the 2020 version doesn't come with captivate, So how am I able to cature these files to include in my Help manual.?

My project uses a logo sized at 77x30 px. I'm using this size because it doesn't seem to matter if I change the width in the skin, when I inspect it in Chrome, it says width=30 in body.media-landscape div.header div.logo and I can't seem to change that.  When I generate and publish three versions, Mac, Linux and Windows, in my published versions the logos are very small in Safari, Firefox and Chrome respectively. If I open each version in Chrome, the Windows version is very small, the Mac and Linux versions are larger, the way I want them. If I view my generated Windows output in Chrome rather than the published output, the logo is large, the way I want. Can anyone tell me how to get the logo larger so that it is consistent across any browser and consistent from generate to publish? I had been looking at my generated output locally and thought everything was correct and then when published, was surprised to see it was not the same. TIA

I am new to Robohelp 2019 and developing help for a web based application. Can you please tell me the difference between a Responsive HTML5 output and a Microsoft HTML help output? I do not want my help file to look like a website. I want my help to look like a .chm format with the topics on the left. I will be providing this to my developers with a Map ID file.    Thank you very much. 

I am using RoboHelp server 9.0 to publish my Help with RoboHelp 2017. But now since Flash is no longer supported in 9.0, I want to upgrade it to server 11.0. How do I upgrade ? Do I need to purchase or just migrate the files. Also is Server 11.0  compatible with RoboHelp 2017?

I need to migrate an existing installation to a new host. Though I am able to retrieve the license information of the running hold system, the installation does not proceed, because of an invalid license. The setup says Robohelp 9 32bit server, but the installed version seems to be just Robohelp 9. Was there a difference in versions? How to retrieve Robohelp 9 install files?
