I hope someone can help me. I was using RoboHelp 9 before and recently got the trial version for RoboHelp 2017. When I opened my project using 2017, it asked if I wanted to import and upgrade my project so I went ahead and did that. My previous project under RoboHelp 9 was in WebHelp layout. However, in 2017, we are trying to generate and publish the same content in Responsive HTML5 layout. I created a new "layout" for my existing project file and was able to generate and publish the old webhelp to the Indigo theme for responsive HTML5. However, these project file feeds/publishes to a master project file. When I open up the master project file and try to generate/publish it, RoboHelp 2017 freezes and stops working. The popup says "Generating content 'Content'... and freezes. If it helps, the "Output view" says "Processing Full-text search data..." and then that's when the popup appears. Another popup appears and says "Adobe RoboHelp 2017 has stopped working" and then I have to close th

Hi, I need to add text to an image in RoboHelp 2017, and subsequently edit the image, to change the language of the added text. I don't think this is possible in RoboHelp 2017, which appears to only allow the following image formats: .gif, .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .jpe and .bmp, which cannot be edited in this way. Please could someone confirm whether I can do this in RoboHelp 2017 please?

Hello,Here is a scenario:I have Robohelp version 2017 installed on my local machine and I have few other team members using Robohelp version 2015. We update the same help source.I update the help content on my machine by using RH version 2017 and generate a webhelp 2015 output.I check it in the source control.The admin takes the most updated source of the help files on the build server and generates a webhelp and then    integrates it with the product. He uses Robohelp 2015 to generate the webhelp.The question is, will step 3 give an error or pose any risks/issues? Reason: I generated a 2015 web help from RH 2017 software and the admin generates a 2015 web help from RH 2015 software.Any thoughts if anyone has tried anything like this?

Our company migrated from shared drives to a cloud-based file repository for shared information. Previously, I could publish Webhelp to a folder on a network shared drive and then people could click the help.htm file to launch the help in a browser and navigate content. This was helpful to get product owner review and feedback prior to formally committing the files in the CM tool for the application build process.We no longer have shared drives, we use Box to manage shared files. I tried copying the output folder to Box and then opening the help.htm file in a browser but it does not work. I am guessing that this cloud-based method adds a layer of identification to the files that prevents the standard file association that RoboHelp expects from working properly.Is there a way to launch Webhelp from a cloud-based file repository?

Hello, all.I need to send a RH 11 project to our translation house. I don't see any function that is the equivalent of the FrameMaker "package" function that is so great.How can I send them only the files that are actually needed for the help project? I am assuming that there are many graphics files, for example, that are not in use. I want to zip and send only the necessary files.Thanks.--Nancy

We recently moved from Robohelp 2011 to Robohelp 2015. Hi there,we are converting our Webhelp to HTML5 Responsive Help. Everything with the layout works fine.We have a Masterproject and several mergedProjects. The mergedProjects work very well when I start them alone,but when I start the complete Project the TOC does not show where I am when I klick a textlink on one of the pages.Does anybody know something about this issue? I didn't find an answer here.We are working with RoboHelp 2015 (12.0.4.460)and Windows Version 10.0.14393 Build 14393We are only using the desktop layout.Thanks!

Hello,for some users it is not possible to generate Adobe AIR Help anymore because of a certificate error: Password for digital certificate is invaldid. For other users everything is fine.We are using the certificate for a time now and didn't change anything. The SSL is also the same.Does somebody have an idea?ThanksMelanie

I'm using RH 2017, Update 1.When generating to HMTL5 output on one of a small skeleton project our team uses, I'm getting this error.Any ideas on how to fix it? It's something with this project but I don't know what. HTML5 output works fine on sample projects RH provides.The compliation log is below. Hi all,I just came across this weird behavior that seems to have been around for awhile.  Check out these search results:On further testing, it is happening consistently with any words ending in s or ly, as if it's trying to helpfully compensate for plurals or adverbs. Unfortunately in this case, "daily" and "sales" are neither It's not a major hassle, it's just odd. Does this happen for anyone else, or have we screwed up something here?

Hi all,While converting FM to RH project the variables are incorrectly processed. And doesn't show corretly in WebHelp output.The problem is that I have signs in variables definition like this "** \<some text> more text" that variable displays correctly in FrameMaker, but after creating a project in RH it displays as "** \ more text" in user defined variables in RH.Is there a way to make it work correctly without much effort?Or I need sth to export the variables from framemaker correctly and convert them into a rhvariable.apj file and replace it in RH folder structure?if so is there a easy way to do it or workaround?Please help,I got a giant book in FM with variables named as mention and I don't know how to handle it atm.RH 2015 and FM 2015

Hi,I'm using merged responsive HTML5 Robohelp 2015. Before installing the recent 4.01 update, opening a page in a new window displayed the page and TOC.It now displays just a page with a Show link, as in the example project below:I raise this as my email page link button used to show the page and TOC, but now just shows a page like the above and a user must click the Show button to display the TOC. Previously it used to add the index.htm#t=mergedprojects addition, now you have to click the Show link to add this.My code for the email button is shown below:Is there anyway to display the page and TOC without having to click the Show link?Thanks

I have product online help source authored by various folks in RH 2015.I am joining them with RH 2017. If I edit the RH 2015 source will there be issues in compatibility? Output?Of is installing RH 2015 and then editing the source the best option and holding off RH 2017.Any suggestions would be useful.

Hi there,Is there a way to always show the Print and Go to Top icons no matter how the customer has sized their browser help window? Seems that if I stretch the window to the right a bit I can see both icons but at a certain point, when resizing to the left, the two icons disappear, along with the Search field in the header. Just wondering if this can be adjusted.Currently using RoboHelp 2015, version 12.0.3.428. Creating a Responsive HTML5 help system using the Azure Blue screen layout.Thanks in advance!Tom

Hi,I've managed to get dynamic filters to work as expected on one of my test projects. To get things to work though, I had to create conditional build expressions and use those in dynamic content filter dialog. This was because even though using a standard conditional build tag worked, only the CBEs were being selected automatically in the final merged project. Maybe thats  bug, but it's working now anyway.So, is there a way to share my CBEs between projects. We're a team with access to TFS as source control if that helps. The CBEs are relatively simple, but doing it across 25 or 30 projects per release seems tedious and even more worrying, error prone.Can I easily share these's CBEs among projects? I'm not afraid of writing a little script to insert some XML into a specific project file if that is an option. Hello RH experts,This week, my RoboHelp Responsive HTML5 output no longer shows the navigation panel (TOC) by default when you open a single topic. Instead, it has the word, Show at the top of the page. Previously, the entire help frameset appeared when you opened a single topic, and that's the behavior we want. I have not changed any project settings (that I'm aware of). HOWEVER, I did apply a RoboHelp software update last week....Can someone enlighten me about how to turn Show Navigation off and on for Responsive HTML5 output? We recently upgraded from Robohelp 2015 to Robohelp 2017. We have a large help project that has over 1000 topics and our software applications calls help topics by generating a URL with the Responsive HTML5 Help path and the appropriate Map ID for the topic. The application also adds arguments to the URL to specify the appropriate content filters. All of this was working fine in Robohelp 2015 (except for the defect that Multi-Level lists don't number correctly). After upgrading to Robohelp 2017, calls to open topics do not work the way they should. The framed layout should open and display the correct topic with the correct filters, but instead it only opens the (correct) topic but without the framed layout and without any filtering. To confirm that this is a problem, I copied the exact same project file set to two computers, one with Robohelp 2015 and one with Robohelp 2017.
