I'm customizing an Orange frameless skin. I am able to delete the Favorites button by deleting the "Saved" button in Layout >  Topic Page Buttons. But this doesn't remove the favorite button in the Right Panel. Can it be deleted? I think there was another post that said it can't be deleted but you could trade the icon for one the same color as the background. Is that the solution?

Hello! I am using Robohelp Version 2020.7.46 to generate a Frameless output and use it to implement context-sensitive help. Clicking the index.htm file in the Output folder loads the page correctly. However, on uploading the Output folder to SharePoint/S3 Browser, the index.htm page does not load. Additionally , when I click on one of the topics in the Outputs folder, only the content is displayed, but full TOC on left, In this topics section on right, Search button, and other elements (Header, Favorites) on the page are missing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Sravana  

Not sure if this is just a setting I am missing.  Is it possible to completely disable the search term highlight feature?  I have several topics that provide blocks of code for users to copy/paste.  When accessing these pages from a search result, the code block format is modified by the highlight code which messes up the how the content is copied. This mainly affects blocks of code in a preformatted text <pre> tag that involves separate lines.  When copying from the page the highlight feature, it ignores the format and pastes it all as a single lineExample without the Highlight:   <pre>Hello there This is an example of some code </pre>   And this is the format when copying out of the output page without the search result highlight:   Hello there This is example of some code   But if you were copying this output from a search result, with the highlight used to highlight the terms in t

HiI am using Robohelp 2020 Update 5 for the project documentation. Just came across an uncanny issue. In the Outputs folder, clicked the Index.htm file and it did not load the page. Chrome is my default browser. This is Output settings page on RH2020. Another issue is, in the Outputs folder, I then clicked one of the topics. It did display the content but the TOC, right TOC and the Next and Previous buttons were missing. The Outputs folder in on the D:\drive. I copied the entire project to C:\ drive and checked but the issue still persists. Please can you let me know if I am missing any settings. I do not think we had such issues in RH2017. Moreover, if we opened a topic from the Outputs folder in RH2017 it displays only the content but had a messaging at the top right-side of the page as given below: Clicking the above option would then re-load the page with the TOC and also the Next and Previous buttons. I'm looking to clean up my project on the back end folders/files.  There a ton of rtl files which I have come to understand are temp files and can be deleted.   I also have a ton of $pr files.  What are the $pr files? Any other tips on what to look for /research/delete to "clean up a project"

Hello,We have a pretty large Robohelp project that we've recently upgraded to Rh2020.This project in Rh2019 (.xpj), we had several files that we had "excluded from search". These files were not part of the TOC, nor were they linked from any of the normal "topic" files. We'd link to these files directly from the product UI. This was because we wanted these topics to be visible only to these special customers who have these very special features. This worked fine in Rh2019. When we generated the output in Rh2019, these files would make their way to the output folder automatically. These were not searchable, but were part of the output folder.However, in Rh2020 this doesn't seem to work. The output folder completely ignores these files. They do not make their way into the output folder.As part of our troubleshooting, we tried adding a link from one of the regular topic files to these hidden files, and then generated output. All the hidden files from this folder then made its way to the ou

After the upgrading my project from RH2019 14.0.14.002 (.xpj) to RH2020 2020.8.34 (.rhpj), the project file looked good (even though the UI was new). I did not have to fix anything in the project that I knew of. Then I generated the Microsoft HTML Help, using output settings/options that matched the selections in RH2019. There are 3 issues in the HTML output:Issue 1: A ‘Contents’ tab that is empty. This tab did not exist in the RH2019 HTML output.Issue 2: Extraneous text ‘Topic index’ appears on the top of each page. The cursor changes to a finger when the mouse is positioned over the text, but nothing is opened when it is clicked. This extra text did not exist in the RH2019 HTML output.Issue 3: All topics in the Index are showing an error implying no topics are associated with each index. I confirmed in the .rhpj project file that each index is indeed associated with a topic, no changes from the .xpj file.Did I miss some steps during the upgrade of the project? Was ther

Hi, We are trying to analyze our knowledge base using google analytics and we've noticed that sometimes Robohelp adds the tag ''rhsyns" to the URL of the website. I am trying to upgrade a few RH2017 projects to RH2022. While a few got upgraded properly, I am facing some issues with a couple of projects. For one project, the upgrade fails, and the log file generated is empty, so I am not sure what the issue is.For another project, the upgrade fails, and when I see the log file, it shows that RH is trying to upgrade an entirely different project (I double-checked to see if I had selected the incorrect XPJ file, but that is not the case). Any help on where to look for to resolve these issues will be greatly appreciated.

Framemaker Version: 16.05.1096Robohelp Version: 2022.1.188I upgraded a Robohelp Classic Project that consists of linked Framemaker files. When I change a Framemaker file, this change will not synchronized in the html topics.I tried to update Robohelp, it didn't work with the error message "Updates are deactivated".How can I solve this?

Hello, I am using Robohelp 2022  Developer has made some changes in the css and now we want to change the default css and implement the changes made by the developer in the CSS. We also have a seperate font folder that we want to implement. Kindly help how to do the same.

1. Context-Sensitive Help will not work if we have broken links in Robohelp, which we do. Every time I compile it, it breaks another topic's name. Main Part Entry becomes "new topic", Part Price Entry becomes "new topic1", etc. This breaks our ability to link from the Old Help.  2. For every topic the above issue happens to, it destroys the image map. Image mapping might not be available if we can't get that fixed.  3. Every time I compile this file, the formatting is ruined as well. Spaces disappear and are added in random spots.  4. The font is no longer the font I chose when accessed from a computer that does not have poppins (the font) installed.

Hello! First post here. I'm having a problem in RH2020 where after running the glossary hotspot tool, blank lines are inserted into any file it touches. I thought maybe it was an issue with my project, so I tried it in the CompassTravel sample project and am getting the same result, as is seen in the screenshot below. I think Friday was the first time I'd ever used the hotspot, so I have no idea if this a brand-new problem or an older one. I've spent several hours troubleshooting, including uninstalling and reinstalling RH and making sure the update is current (2020.8.34). The blank lines are showing up in Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, and Notepad++, but don't appear in the source view in RH.I guess the blank lines aren't technically breaking anything, but I find it much easier to navigate files in the source code in VSC rather than using the RoboHelp UI or source, and I can't handle how stretched out it is! I've been working on this project for over a month now and was about

I just upgraded an RH2022.0.364 project to 2022.1.188 and generated the PDF.The table of contents now shows the index page number while it didn't with the previous version. The TOC looks like this:ContentsTopic 1.......1Topic 2.......3...................5This latter one goed to the Index page when I click it.It's fine that the index now appears in the TOC, but how can I get the text 'Index' in the TOC? I need to import a PDF file as a baggage file (RH2017), but a curious thing is happening: I go through the Printed Documentation procedures, generating a Word doc and a PDF; these do appear on my K: drive, as usual. But when I try to import the PDF using RH's Select Baggage file, neither of the documents appear. I need to fix this ASAP. thank you,Lon

I have been right-clicking red underlined text and adding to dictionary every time I bring up a topic for edit. When I save and leave a topic and then come back to it later there are the same text that is red underlined and I will once again add to the dictionary (below). How can I make Add to Dictionary stick?

Hello there, Using Robohelp 2022 I am trying to follow the below information,To create a link, put the cursor inside the desired topic, and Insert Hyperlink (link it to hyperlink help link). Then, select a bookmark in Insert Link dialog.  I added a bookmark to the desired location and then trying to insert link. I was able to insert the hyperlink but now able to follow the above statement. When cross reference I am not able to insert or update when select type Bookmark. Kindly help me out in this. 

I'm suddenly unable to apply styles using the Styles pane in RH 2020. When I select text and click on a style, it throws an error telling me to restart RoboHelp. I've tried this, along with signing out and back in to my account and still not working. Any ideas on how to fix this or is anyone else experiencing this? 

Does anyone know how to change the usual URLs based on the folder structure of a RH project (looking like "https://domain.tld/folder/subordinatefolder/someotherfolder/topic-file-name.htm") into a SEO-friendly string like "https://domain.tld/generaltopic/special-topic-name" ?Is that done manually in the Google Search Console, or with editing redirects into the sitemap.xml after generating the output? That would be an exhaustive approach.Any ideas here how to do that in the ToC the output is based on?

I am just curious so see what people are using to capture user interactions on RH.  I have been using google analytics and tag manager.  I started to research migrating our reports to the new ga4 and was wondering if there are other tools out there better geared towards RH sites.
