Hello community members,I face very often problem with accidentials moving objects when placing image on these objects. (Working with mouse)Is there any chance to prevent objects from moving when working on project?I tried the lock symbol but this won´t work. Please helprgds Hans
Hi y'all,I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I've been using some limited spare time I have at work to research if there is an alternative software we can use for shrink sleeve design in regards to making an actual print file. I know this is probably a great application to use to make a 3D *mockup* of the design to show to customers, but we're the printer; not the designers. We're currently using Esko to warp and distort artwork so that it looks "straight" after the printed image is shrunk onto the container. It's about one of the clunkiest, heavy, slow-moving, digusting applications that probably exists in the whole world, and the licensing is insanely expensive (i.e. we're paying them an arm and a leg to stress us out). I want there to be an Adobe alternative SO BAD, but I just can't find many people talking about if this (or any other Adobe product) can be used as alternative. Is there any Adobe software that can apply distortion and warp *precisely* to
Whenever I placed a graphic (image) on any model in stager & render it, results are pixalated.I've tried image in high resolution with both jpg & png. but results are same.As Compared render with same settings in Dimension the results are way good then the stager.here are the comparison results of rendered model in stager vs dimesnion.
The Substance 3D team will be at GDC on March 18-22, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Our keynote presentation will take place on March 18; so will sessions including: The Art and Technology Behind Creating Characters for Baldur’s Gate 3, by Alena Dubrovina, Art Director at Larian Studios; The Environment Art Technology and Workflows of Alan Wake 2, by Miro Vesterinen and Benjamin Lindquist of Remedy Entertainment; and Tips & Tricks in Adobe Substance 3D Painter to Make Semi-realistic Textures, by 3D Character Artist Anna Beganskaya. March 18 is also the date of the famous Substance 3D afterparty: meet the teams who create the tools, and generally have an awesome time in a relaxed setting. You can register to attend the afterparty >>right here<<.
Hi all,I really would like to know if there is some way to continue working on PAINTER when you just applied some material / texture into STAGER.Let me be more crystal clear: I have simple meshes in stager that need to receive some material (in my case a CUP needs to get some glossy effect inside and some matte effect outside... very simply). I simply use the MAGIC WAND to select the inner and outer side of my cup and I manually apply those metherials. That's pretty good but if I need to change the base color of my material for a SECOND CUP, every time I must use again the MAGIC WAND and pay attention to all its limitations...Is there a way (for example) to pass this STAGER work into PAINTER to continue texturing?Thank you
So here we are, almost into March of 2024,and still you have NO option to export a transparent mov from Stager, and NO optionto even export a transparent .png file. This is the reason why people are moving away from thissoftware that is NOT meant for serious designers. Super frustrating. This issue goes way back in time, and still exists today. Look at Adobe's site for Stager, nothing, no new tutorials, it shows you that they areputting zero effort into Stager or modeler at this point. It's really sad and disappointing. BTW, you'll see a lot of silly solutions like exporting to a .psd file. Imagine exporting a 30 second video with 900 psd file and removing the background manually. No Adobe this is beyond silly as a solution. We are paying good money for these programs, please do put a little more time and effort into Stager and Modeler.
I use stager for a lot of product graphics, advertisement etc... It would be amazing if i could do like a simple forward movement of the camera like from point a to point b in a straight line... having ONLY orbit and spin animation options is honestly extremely limiting. almost makes the animation feature useless. You guys could set it up sssoooooooooooooooooooooo simple also, timeline with keyframes kind of like on premiere pro...
Can someone tell me why a completely transparent PNG is seen by Stager with a white background?Thank you!
Hi everyone !How many of you out there use Adobe 3D Modeler ?I found the corresponding Adobe commitity and realize that thisforum really has little activity on it, just curious.
I've posted to 'Stock' on the subject of hierarchial grouping and proper rotation axies in Stock (premiun) assets as a basis for this concept.I bought the beautiful (static) model of a 'Praying Mantis.' It is nicely done!Problems is that we have no way to actually 'Pose' the model in Stager. Cannot rotate the head, twitch the tail or flick a 'finger.' Stager *needs* to allow users to delve down into their hard earned assets and make them come alive - albeit in a Static context. We don't need to animate the little critter, just to articulate it out of it's bug-on-a-pin attitude in order to give it Attitude. So: Function in Stager to take a Static Model (from Stock, or not), setup Hierarchial groups with all the primary rotation axies so that we can take our store-bought assets and make them really ours.(Deformation tools would be nice too...)David
Stager will crash while attempting to open any file. The files wwill attempt to load but the software will crash while the bar reads a random percent. Usually it's 2% but will sometimes list 4%-40%. I used to get lucky and the file would end up loading but after several computer restarts this has become a concernable issue. My co-worker has no issues opening said files on his end and our computers have comparable specs. I'm working off the latest Studio Drivers with a clean install. I also tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling it and running into the same issues. My specs below:Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 19045) (19041.vb_release.191206-1406)Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10850K CPU @ 3.60GHz (20 CPUs), ~3.6GHzMemory: 32768MB RAMAvailable OS Memory: 32686MB RAMDirectX Version: DirectX 12DirectX Database Version: 1.0.8NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070Display Memory: 24374 MBDedicated Memory: 8032 MB
when I was working on the project for long time , the application got crashes, and I Lose everything I worked on. I faced this is problem many times !!!
I everyone, when export obj from Stager, it lost all the materials, it import only the colours...why it happen??
I can't copy and paste the same png file twice onto the same 3D object...does anyone have a solution?
This is the SAME issue others have written about.... I wanted to make sure I write my own post instead of commenting.Something is definitely up with IMPORT... It just sits with LOADING...X%(It may be files that exceed Xmb, but it's definitely not working)...Since the update, cannot import into Stager, I assure you! (and I use it all day, every day). It's appearing in multiple conversations and posts, so it's unlikely that it's coincidence.....Hopefully, they will address the issue!thanks so much!! I will atttempt to revert to previous version.-E-
Hi there, facing severe issue with stager v 2.14 when loading files made from older stager versions.Windows 11 OS.I tried reinstall, no help.Stager shows loading window up to 100%, bibliothek is loaded. Then shows new loading window with blue line showing ??, no percentage. This brings stager to freeze complete.Only windows task manager stops executing, task manager shows 3 stager in action. Now installed prior version 2.13 and no more issue.Anyone facing same issue? Please help,Hans
Hello,Last week, 2 of my machines that do rendering were working fine.Today, when I open a project and try to render, the software acts like it's starting to render, but then just sits and does nothing. If I try to cancel the render, it shows cancelled, and I can click different things in the application, but none of them actually do anything, including close/exit. The application has to be forced closed.I have tried starting a new image from scratch, and rendering just a simple sphere, but this also causes the freeze.I have tried rendering with GPU as well as CPU which make no difference.I have tried saving the render locally, as well as to a file server.I have tried rolling back to a slightly older version of Stager with no luck.I started a chat with Adobe for support, and I was told to clear my temp files before the support person simply left the chat. Delightful customer service (sarcasm). For machine specs: 1 brand new HP zBook Workstation with i7-13850HX, 32 gigs of RAM, RTX
Hi all! Could you please tell me if there is a way to have multiple scenes in the same Substance Stager file?Yes it is possible to have a specific background each camera but it would be very useful for me to have customized lights each camera for example. Thank you.
Hi everyone,Are there any one who work with 3D stager with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU on windows 11?I am planning to buy a windows computer with this video card and I am looking for information on whether it is compatible with 3D stager, ?
Goodmorning everyone! If it can be useful, I confirm that the stager render, with the imported textures applied, is useless! I enclose example, same texture used in size and stager with the same model, first imported in ai format then in jpg format. In the screens you also see the render settings. Remembering that it is ridiculous that those who invest in an M1 MAX with 64gb do not have the possibility to use GPUs. I'll switch to blender!
Good day,I want to achieve an illuminated printed signage panel (for back-lit applications in commercial graphics). MY PROCESSI've been able to get close to it by doing the following:Create / Import Object > Place Image on Material as a Decal > Scroll down to "Emission" section of Material panel, and I'm able to choose an image (in this case, I'm chosing the exact same image used for the decal). See figure 1, 2 below.MY RESULTWhat happens, is the Emision image appears to change in size, sometimes stretching horizontally, versus aligning directly over the decal (figure 3 below). My work-around has been to use Photoshop to stretch the image horizontally and vertically or make the image document have a larger canvas in order to fine-tune the alignment and properly simulate the visualization project. I have to save a separate emission image to succeed in the task.MY WORKFLOWIt's important for me to be able to drop in files with as little fine tuning as possible, when it comes to
It would be pretty awesome if I could "save" my property settings of an object and be able to "load" them onto an other object.
Hey community, I have an image I need to render for a client delivery by tomorrow. I rendered the first one mistakenly at the medium quality setting. It rendered fast, but the quality was poor. I re-rendered at high, which took much longer, but the quality was the same! I went for broke and rendered at "ultra", and yet again, the image was the same size and dpi. They're all the same! What's up with this?? Worst of all, I have to pay $49 a month for this?! I starting to give up on Adobe. This is simply poor software. Seriously poor. The "Ultra" version has small (yet noticeable) specks in the image. I can't show this to a client, it's unusable. Is there a way to up the resolution besides using the drop down settings? Dimensions offered that, at least...I've included images. If anyone knows how to improve the imagery, I would appreciate any tips.
Hey i have RTX 3060 ti and no option to turn on GPU rendering in adobe substance stager? I tried everything Any help on this?
