Adobe Bridge 16.0.7.36 cannot reliably find files by filename, even when those files are plainly visible in the folder being searched.Example files visible in Bridge:G0005 HQ.jpgG0005.jpgG0005.psdG0005.tifI tested two different Bridge search methods: Quick Search for "g0005" Edit > Find, using: Filename contains "g0005" Current folder and all subfolders Both returned no results.Windows Explorer finds the same files immediately.I also purged the Bridge cache for the files in the folder and allowed Bridge to rebuild it completely. The files remained visible in Bridge, but both search methods still failed to find them.This is not a complex metadata query. It is a basic filename search for files that Bridge is already displaying.If an image browser cannot reliably find a file by its filename, that seriously undermines one of its most basic functions.For now, I have to use Windows Explorer for searches because Explorer finds the files correctly.

Since a little earlier this year, I can only keep ONE panel open when in masking mode in Bridge. EG: I can open the LIGHT panel, but if I try to open Color, Effect etc, I can only open 1 at a time, and the other will ‘auto close’. This is highly frustrating. When NOT in mask mode, I can keep the multiple panels open at a time. Only when in mask mode, does this occur.Yes, I have ‘multiple’ selected in the Panel Behaviour settings, and yes, I’ve reset preference, reset workspace etc etc.Is there a fix for this? Having to open each pane each time when masking if a real slowdown, particularly as this was not the usual behaviour until, for me, about 2 months ago. Any ideas???

Hello,Adobe Bridge 16.0.7 removes AdobeXMPScript.dll, which is required for scripts to access metadata. Thus, this update has broken all scripts that access metadata.Adobe’s JavaScript Tools Guide specifically states to use this bit of code to load the XMP scripting API:if (ExternalObject.AdobeXMPScript == undefined) ExternalObject.AdobeXMPScript = new ExternalObject('lib:AdobeXMPScript');Running that code now produces this error:IOError: File or folder does not existVisiting C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Bridge 2026 also shows that AdobeXMPScript.dll is gone.​Tested on Windows 11 25H2. I downgraded to 16.0.6, and AdobeXMPScript.dll reappeared and scripts started working again.

Adobe Bridge is giving error, is not updating and the previous version is not accessible. Creative Cloud says the version is not compatible with Windows 10. And I must update to Windwos 11. Dear sirs, Microsoft is still supporting Windows 10, until at least Otcober 2027 and my notebook is supported. I’ve got an expensive Lenovo notebook with features I considered important for Photoshop, it costed 1.000 Euros 10 years ago. I’m paying to use Creative Cloud for Photography. You can’t oblige someone to spend money they don’t have for features that eventually they don’t need. More I cannot access Camera Raw.So we have a problem. How can I Install the previous version of Bridge and prevent it from updating and damaging the existing version installed?Kind regards, Cristina

As of version 16.0.6.9, images in Bridge are still flickering when viewing in Preview Mode or in Slideshow. This renders the program completely unusable - this needs to be fixed now!

As a photographer I have been using Bridge for over a decade. One of the most important ways I use it is to create PDF documents of low res (but good quality) images to show clients as contact sheets, often with one image per page. I found this to be a quick easy way to create a high res or low res PDF that can be emailed. Recently with the new Bridge updates, the PDF sizes have become exponentially bigger - and therefore not possible to email. I never used to have to resize every image as the Output panel was very good at compressing and doing this for me and creating a usable file size. It is even creating large file sizes from small LR images. I don't know what has happened or if there is any solution to this, but my workflow is now incredibly slow as I try to compress and optimize PDFs in Adobe Acrobat which also is very glitchy and sometimes doesn't work at all. I'm now doing more work to try and do something I have done in Bridge for years and it's driving me crazy. I have a

I'm on Bridge 2026, v16.07.36 for Mac (M1 Tahoe, 26.3.1). Importing images into Bridge > Contact sheet for export to my client to check. They include png, jpg and WebP format but have 'unreadable files' messages and random png no previews. Is WebP not supported?

Why can’t I update to Bridge 16.0.6 if my computer works perfectly well, simply because I don’t have Windows 11?Adobe is dropping support for Windows 10. I know it is an old operating system and that it now receives very few updates, but is it really necessary to exclude all the users who are still using it?Bridge is only the beginning. Next November, when the 2027 versions are released, what will happen if you don’t have Windows 11? Will we have to forget about continuing to use Bridge?The easy answer would be to buy a new computer, but is that really an option for everyone? The current prices of RAM, storage, and graphics cards are absolutely crazy, and sadly, they seem likely to keep going up.Wouldn’t it be possible for Adobe to continue supporting Windows 10 for a little longer, especially for applications like Bridge, which shouldn’t necessarily require the latest operating system technologies?

When I display a folder of RAW images from my camera, the thumbnails are being brightened.  I can see the original unaltered thumbnails for a second then Bridge brightens them quickly all as I watch.  Is some sort of profile being applied?  Is this from a change in colorspace?  I’d like to see the RAWs just as they are.  I couldn't find any setting in preferences that would do this.  Thanks in advance.

I am running Windows 10 and currently using Adobe Bridge version 16.0.3, which works perfectly for my workflow. Because I have no plans to upgrade to Windows 11, v16.0.3 is the final compatible version for my operating system.Despite this, the Creative Cloud Desktop app is permanently stuck displaying a red notification badge and a "Not Compatible" warning forcing me to update to Bridge v16.0.6—an update my system cannot physically install.It is a massive oversight in user interface design that users cannot dismiss, hide, or ignore updates for applications that are hard-locked by operating system requirements. When using the Metadata panel in Bridge, using Tab to jump to the next field (standard behavior for decades in any UI with fields), the order is unpredictable. One day the tab order will behave one way, and another day another way. Sometimes they’ll even go in order!! Who knows, there is no rhyme or reason.This has happened for years in Bridge, back through Bridge 2024 at least. It seems to be only in MacOS, but I haven’t cross-checked in Windows enough to be sure. Immensely annoying as I daily am keying in metadata values, and being forced to use the mouse to swap fields is a big drag.Sometimes restarting the app fixes it, not always.Sometimes rebooting the Mac fixes it, not always. I haven’t found a reliable workaround.

Recently the option to require ctrl when rating or labeling images in bridge was removed in the preferences menu. I am requesting that this option be restored. Ctrl is not required when rating or labeling images in Lightroom Classic. The discrepancy is very frustrating when switching back and forth between the two programs. 

With the latest Bridge update, I see that the keyboard rating method now required me to hold the command key (Mac OS) and then a number 1 to 5.  Previously it was simply just the number.  Seems simple, but my habit is strong and this is a nuisance.  How can I set it to just require the numeral keys?  Thanks.

Since the latest Bridge update (~1 week ago), I can't save changes in the editor. The Save button (usually bottom-right) and other bottom-of-screen options vanish, as if the window is cut off—even in full-screen. Using Windows.

Suddenly BRIdge doesnt open anymore on my pc. ZeroThe new version only works with windows 11 but my computer cannot do that.I am looking for a download  to continue with the older version but its nowhere to be found.Can anybody  tell me where or how to find the Bridge version that works with windows 10??Thanks!
