I am currently facing a compatibility issue with Adobe InDesign 2023 on my device.In order to resolve the problem, I kindly request a direct download link for the official Adobe InDesign 2023 installer, or guidance on how to properly obtain it through my Adobe account.

It's not in The Creative Cloud anymore and I need that particular version for a Xerox plugin (VIDesign Express 18.1.0).I tried to install the latest VIDesign (18.1.3) on InDesign 2025, but it freezes on installation.

Hello, can anyone please tell me how to install  InDesign 2024 version 19.3 .My creative cloud app is not offering the option to install older versions like how they show in tutorials when i searched a solution for this issue.

So, Adobe quietly stopped supporting the stand-alone distiller app I’ve relied on for 20 years to prepare printer spreads (vs. reader spreads.) This is something I do on a daily basis but distiller continually errors out with the latest rounds of Adobe updates. I have no way to easily convert my postscript files to pdf any more within the Adobe ecosystem. This is a GREATLY OVERLOOKED issue. What is everyone using as a workaround? Are you sending your files to the printer as single pages or reader spreads and letting them deal with? Is there a script you use to impose page layout within InDesign or are you finding ways to distill .ps files outside of Adobe? Thanks for your help!

I have an indesign document with a ton of different images, 1 on each page of the doc. I’ve updated a few of these links today and the newly linked updated images have this icon on the bottom left corner which I’ve never seen before. Any idea what this is or what it means? These are not text boxes, there are no primary text frames in this document and no threaded text.It is definitely attached to the linked image and nothing else, as it moves around with the image when I move the image.   

I just updated to InDesign 2026 and I'm struggling with the change to resizing split windows. When I'm in the 2-up vertical view (which I use all the time to compare documents), I used to be able to click on the space where the tabs of the windows met at the top and just drag left and right to resize.It looks like I can't do that anymore—I have to click down at the bottom of the windows and hit just the right place in order to resize them (and then it does some automatic resizing first, which is incredibly annoying). Does anyone know if it's possible to get the previous resizing ability back? The new way takes longer and is much clumsier, especially as I am constantly resizing back and forth.

The new feature auto generates pornographic alt text in pictures it cannot seem to identify. It does seems to work ok on real photos but all complex icons have nude people and body parts described. It seems to me instead of giving a warning that it can’t identify a content it correlaties it to pornographic content. I don’t know if there was no introduction/pop-up to this new feature or if I simply missed it, but auto generating nsfw text is not okay. Why is there no filter that stops it from doing so?   

I’m working on a book, 288 pages. Plenty of images, all .eps files as I’m working with spot colours for risograph printing. I’ve been working with this set up for years and I never had this issue. When I try to export the file, the app crashes, and as it took some 30 seconds before the crash I thought that the file was too heavy for my machine (Apple Silicon M1, 2021, 16BG running Tahoe 26.2 with >1TB memory available). So I started splitting the export in smaller parts. It all went ok for pages 1-49 and pages 50-99, but when I went to export pages 100-149 the app crashes, sometimes immediately, sometimes after some 10-20 seconds of exporting. I found it consistent with the first export attempts of the whole file, which occurred after some 30 seconds—maybe some file is corrupted around mid book and if I skip that batch and proceed to export pages 150-199 I might be able to isolate the error and keep exporting the book. I’ve had this issue on Windows and Mac where the Links panel > Show/Hide Information doesn’t work. When I open an InDesign file, the panel shows the Link Info. However, if I need more space to see other panels, I click the Link Info ˅ to collapse the panel. That part works. What doesn’t work is trying to relaunch it. I click the Link Info and nothing happens. I have to close InDesign and open it back up. This happens from the time I install the Adobe apps, so I don’t see this as being a Preferences issue. It’s been a problem for many years. Anyone know of a workaround?

It opened fine yesterday, I shut down the app. Then this morning, it just will not open,

InDesign 2026, exporting to a small PDF file doesn't work!!!! The PDF is way too large.  

Every time I export A InDesign file as PDF it gets saved massive like 40-80 MB, Some people suggested to Uncheck “Preserve InDesign editing capabilities”, but I cant find this in the latest version (Dont know about older versions)???

I want to set Indesign keyboard shortcuts to conform to macOS conventions. alt-arrow : move by words  shift-alt-arrow : select by words alt-delete : remove words backwards command-arrow : move to the line extremitiesThose shortcuts are set but I can’t find a way to set the deletion to the end or the beginning of the line. Do you know where it’s located in the shortcuts table ?

I frequently create brochures, and at some point in the project without fail the share for review link stops allowing me to update content. The review links are an integral part of our workflow, and for my non-brochure work they are fine (although I have to update those less frequently), but with my brochure documents it will allow me to create a new link, but after that I can no longer publish any changes. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling InDesign, turned off and on countless times, ensured the document I’m updating is the only one open, packaged then opened the idml and re-saved the document to indd. It just doesn’t work, and it’s really frustrating to explain to our clients that their comments have gone because we had to make a new link (or they get confused, comment on an old link and we don’t make the updates). Any ideas?

I can’t figure out if it’s possible to recreate this text style. Specifically the rounded corners. I tried the Underline hack. It will highlight the text but only with a square shape. I can also create a pill shape. I would like to use a square with rounded corners.Any ideas?  

I used to be an InDesign expert but only use it occasionally now. I’m using it today and I have noticed an awful new thing: whenever the cursor is in a text window, the interface in the background flashes!!! This is intolerable, I have a vestibular disorder and this is hell.Do you know how I can turn this flickering off? I've looked in the preferences but I'm not sure I see anything there.It literally makes me puke and it’s 100% a WCAG violation (Success Criterion 2.3.3 Animation from Interactions, and others).I’m on 21.3 if it helps. Hi,Getting an issue with indesign and not recognising the calibri system font installed. From what I can see, there’s a new version of calibri with a latest windows update. V6.26 > V6.27.   Myself and colleagues are effected, and this is spanning across a lot of our documents. Replacing the font does not fully solve the issue as any forms text fields will not update to the font box.  I’ve seen a similar post regarding this with the same issue on times new roman which is marked as resolved but it most certainly not.  FYI, installing calibri via adobe fonts does not work, we are getting a conflict likely due to it already being a system font. We also running the latest version of indesign. Any help on this?

The same problem that began to occur with Illustrator and Photoshop several years back is now occuring in InDesign (main palette window moves behind other active windows when you attempt to move the window).  Not interested in work arounds and desktop viewing segmentations etc.  I want to work the old standard way. Adobe and Apple please resolve this issue!!!

As noted, I can’t actually sort links by Effective PPI. Here’s what I get (right column): Is there something I’m missing in getting this to work?It looks like it might be ignoring content that appears more than once, i.e. in a folder in the Links list.Thanks!
