Hi team, I need a help to import a batch of names in Indesign List items to create a dropdown for interactive PDF. I need a support in indesign. For now i can see the only way to add List Items manually one by one. is there any way add the bundle of list items in single shot. I am using InDesign 21.3, working on a simple 2 page file, I go to place a logo and the blue thinking wheel pops up and doesn’t go away. I can click and move things around but none of it is being “saved”. I close the file and click to close the program and it just sits there still open. I then have to force quit the program. When I relaunch the file opens with the software and everything I did while the wheel was spinning was not saved.It’s done this several times since the update and there is no pattern to why. I’m finding it randomly acting up. It’s really frustrating, especially when I’m not working on anything complicated.

After trying the free trial of AI Translator Pro by Oussama Touzni, I decided to purchase a monthly subscription.However, when I try to manage the plugin through Adobe Exchange in Creative Cloud, the plugin does not appear.I’m working on a Mac and have installed all the latest updates. I’ve restarted the applications several times and have also tried signing out and back in, but unfortunately, nothing has worked.Can anyone help me resolve this issue?Thanks in advance!

When i open InDesign the app crashes. I’m unable to even open the app. I have re-installed the app, which didn’t solve the issue. I also tried installing other update versions, which also didn’t solve the issue. All my other Creative Cloud apps are up to date. What to do now?

How can I view pages (in a book) in the side by side view, but give them a gap between them so that I can manage the bleed in the middle?  I’m using a lot of large images and in the side by side view, the bleeds go into the page beside it. I remember this being an issue 25 years ago when I was working on the high school yearbook, and I still don’t see an answer when I search for it...

Hello everyone,I'm experiencing a serious hyphenation issue in Adobe InDesign while working on a 100-page editorial publication written entirely in British English.The problemDespite having the text and paragraph styles correctly set to English (UK), InDesign continues to produce word breaks that follow American English hyphenation conventions rather than British English ones.For example: “democ-racy” instead of the British English “demo-cracy”. “lab-oratories”, which also appears to follow American rather than British hyphenation patterns. What I've already tried Verified that the language assigned to the text is English (UK). Checked the language settings within the paragraph styles. Changed the dictionary and hyphenation settings. Switched between the Hunspell and Proximity hyphenation engines. Unfortunately, neither engine has resolved the problem. Hello,I am creating an interactive fillable PDF form and need to use a custom checkbox.I am aware as to how I add my 'Icon' to the Sample Buttons and Form Box, but am having difficulty when attempting to alter the appearance states 'Normal' or 'Rollover' or 'Click'.It seems that when I turn my button into a checkbox, as soon as it becomes selected, it puts a god awful default tick inside it as opposed to allowing me to choose my own 'Normal' state.Please help.M/

Hi there, I've searched the community and the web for this glitch and can't find it. unfortunately the latest updated to both software and OS haven't fixed this.Basically, if I leave my design for a little bit, and then come back to it (say after a meeting)I find that as soon as I tap the page with my cursor – the entire layout (all pages) disappear. Everything else is still present including my pages column on the right. But the only thing that seems to bring it back is saving and restarting the programme which obvs isn't convenient.Anyone else experienced this and/or has a fix?Many thanksCarolyh

I’ve got a hyphenation error that keeps cropping up in various InDesign documents. I’m currently using InDesign version 21.6. As soon as I export a PDF with tags, incorrect letters appear in some of the hyphens. There’s no sign of this in InDesign, nor is there when I export a PDF without tags. However, I need the tags for accessibility. I received the following warning in an SEC filing:WRN: INVALID_PDF_TAGMSG: In xxxxxx.pdf: found an invalid PDF tag (ATTACHED EmbeddedFile OBJECT/EXECUTABLE (EF in COSDictionary)).If I regenerate the PDF, the warning disappears. The file was originally exported from Adobe InDesign 2021.Could you explain what causes this warning, and how I can prevent it when exporting a PDF from InDesign?

There seems to be some agreement that ID's indexing feature is kludgy at best. I am not an experienced coder or script writer, but I thought of an algorithm that might make the indexing job easier. I'm posting this so you all can tell me that I'm nuts. (So stipulated!) Suppose index markers came in two flavors, start and end. If ID assigned marker numbers (not replacing the levels of index entries) and marker-end numbers, indexing would become far more flexible. So, for example, the first index entry would have "Index Marker 1" (IM1) and would generate "Index Marker 1 END" (IM1_END) for the user to place in the appropriate location in the text. So when the user marks the beginning of an index reference (with whatever levels the user specifies), pressing "OK" would generate a pop-up saying "place index end marker(#) at desired point." Then the user would not have to bother with all of the approximations (e.g. Next # paragraphs, Next # pages, etc.) that ID has now. I selected a cell in a row, but I found that its minimum height is not determined by itself, but by the cell with the most text lines in the row.How can I use a script to find the cell with the most text lines in this line?The minimum height of the red cell in the sample file below is 30pt. It seems that there is still an error in the calculation as follows:CellH=14+14+2*1.417=30.834>30pt。Another question, how to calculate the total height of the table columns in the current text box

Hello everyone,I have an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription and I'm trying to install InDesign on my iMac (Late 2013), running macOS Catalina 10.15.8.Unfortunately, the latest versions of InDesign are not compatible with my operating system.I have already contacted Adobe Support, and they successfully provided me with older versions of Illustrator and Photoshop, which I was able to install.However, I haven't been able to obtain the correct installer for InDesign.Does anyone know how I can download an official version of Adobe InDesign 2020 (15.x) or 2021 (16.x), compatible with macOS Catalina?Thank you very much for your help!

Hi! I'm wondering if anyone can help with what I imagine is a "settings" type issue. I am trying to print really basic stuff. Like, basic fonts and vector images in black and white. When I try to print from Illustrator and InDesign, the images and text appear as tiny printed black dots (or, with thicker type, just super jagged edges). Like, it prints like a crappy rendering of the fonts and images. Zooming in on the computer screen, it's all crisp, even when something the size of a 12-pt period, zoomed in to the size of my head. So, I do know what a vector is and that it's not a poor resultion image that can't be blown up. The same fonts print beautifully from Microsoft Word, etc. I'm attaching an image of a photo of a couple sentences that I printed in black and white (sorry I have whack lighting; it's just black toner on white paper). The sentences on the computer screen look normal. I'm using a super basic printer--a Brother black and white laser printe

I have been using Adobe express, not the app but the inbuilt quick action or from the contextual task bar in indesign, I have been using the feature for quick photo edits instead of opening photoshop or Express app, I only noticed now that the option is greyed out for some reason I dont know why. I need help please.Attached below for reference  

Moin Kolleg*innen, wir haben hier seit längerer Zeit (auf jeden Fall über ein Jahr) immer wieder mal das Problem in InDesign, dass wir eine Fehlermeldung beim Öffnen bzw. beim Sichern von verschiedenen Indesign-Dokumenten bekommen. Die Daten liegen auf einem Windows-Server, auf den alle Kollegen zugreifen. Das Problem haben alle 3 - und in der Regel nur in InDesign. 1. Öffnen: Beim Öffnen kommt diese Meldung. Nach der Bestätigung ist die temporäre Datei generiert. Beim 2. Versuch öffnet sich das selbe Dokument ohne Probleme.  2. SichernBeim Speichern (meistens "Speichern unter") kommt diese Meldung, obwohl die Datei dann fehlerfrei gespeichert ist. Diese Fehler treten bei verschiedensten Dokumenten auf - und nicht unbedingt beide bei demselben Dokument. Es ist also kein "System" zu erkennen. In Acrobat zum Beispiel haben wir das Problem nicht. Hat jemand von Euch auch solche Probleme und vielleicht eine Erklärung bzw.
