Odd, looks like you have a filter on for four stars, yet three star images are shown. Turn off all filters, both in the library filters (   File > Library Filters > Filter By   ) bar shown in that screenshot. And in the menu. How slow is the import if you first copy the photos from the SD card to the desired folder, and then import into LrC via ADD with minimum previews created, and no develop presets? Also, after import via Add, when you go and create the previews, is that extremely slow? Some have gone to one drive P.S. while you fix your file management mess, disassociate LrC catalog(s) from OneDrive. Some might say LrC + OneDrive, was made in Heaven, others say Hell. One way to do this is to create a new root level folder and relocate your catalog to that folder. OneDrive autosyncs various user system Libraries (folders) by default, some of these are Pictures, Videos, Music, Downloads, Documents. and user. I see that you are using the Add option. Their used to be an issue, that may or may not have ever been acknowledged, may or may not have been fixed. A nasty little problem where if the Destination folder on a previous import no longer existed or was moved, and you changed the import method to Add, the Import would fail with no error message. And apparently if you had instead selected Copy, you may have noticed an issue with the destination not existing. One would think that Add could care less, one would think that an error message would come up. But nope   Solution and in this case, a test for to see if that is what is going on, is to start an import, select just one brand new never ever before used image (take a photo just for this), select COPY, then over in the destination, change it to anything other than what is currently shown, then Import. After that success, go back and attempt your Import via Add.   Yes, I may be waisting your time, but just a little.   ... A current Bug (well possibly a bug) in the current version. Members are having a bad time at import if the images include videos, they find they need to exclude any videos. Not sure if they then separately attempt to import videos, or if they are waiting for the fix (not a video person myself). An annotated copy of your screenshot:  First up, is this actually the location of your current catalog? And is perhaps some info missing, perhaps located below what is visible? Second up, if this is where you are keeping your working catalog, then it appears you have placed it on the cloud. That is not supported, that will lead to catalog corruption, that will effect performance Third up, it appears you are keeping backups and working copies in the same location, in the same media. That is poor practice. If you loose this media, you loose everything. Backups should follow 3-2-1 principle, Three backups on two different media (two different hard drives for example)  and one off site (cloud works for that). Those older catalogs and supporting files, are they backed up? Why do you need them if they are backed up? At the top, Previous Catalogs, so are these files all old stuff?   ... View more

Hmm, yes we need to see the error. I suspect it is a dialog screen complaining that the lrcat-data file could not be found.
