It is easy enough in Illustrator to get type to snap to a line it is sitting upon...but can I also get it to snap to the underside of a gridline? See screenshot: I really want the top of the "Y" to align with the horizontal gridline, not the bottom of it. Alternatively, is there a shortcut for tuning off Snap to Grid for individual objects, so that I can quickly place it just by eyeballing it?

I did some manipulations on this color wheel to get the colors in the places I wanted ... and in the process reversed all my type. How can I restore it to right reading? InDesign 2022 on a Mac. I am working for the first time on a very long nonfiction book that is laid out with 10/12 type and 4" wide columns of justified text. I am familiar with the tool for highlighting hyphenation and justification errors on the full page. But even so, everyone in a while my eye falls on a single word like the "are" in this image and I want to scream: Do readers notice just things? Do you go through and fix individual words in a 340 page document? If so, how?

Is it possible to use Absolute rending intent without the simulated paper color? I have a colorful graphic that prints well from Photoshop with PS controlling colors, using the Absolute rendering intent and "Normal" printing (i.e. not hard). But there are some areas of transparency or white that are colored in with that light yellowish cast that is typical of rendering paper appearance. I tried to fix them by making them "white", not transparent, but it made no difference.

Adobe CC on a Mac; the printer in question is an Epson ET 8500. I want Photoshop to manage the colors. Of course, I get the message "Remember to disable the printer's color management in the print setting dialog box". Unfortunately, when I click on this Print Settings button: I only get this list, and none of these have an option regarding color management.

In Photoshop is is possible to do something like the Image>Adjustments>Invert transform, but have it apply only to Lightness? In other words, make the lights in the image dark, and the darks in the image light, but not change the hue and saturation?

If I have an image frame in a document, and a jpeg on the pasteboard of that document, how do get the jpeg into that frame? And then, once I've done that, how do I move the jpeg around and zoom in and out on it to get it positioned and size to my satisfaction within that frame, without disturbing the size or position of the frame?

I have a long document organized in the Book File feature, with each chapter as its own document. Can I create a PDF that shows each spread properly? Right now, each chapter in the PDF starts on a single page that is disjointed from the page it should be opposite.

My first guess was that it was a white number on top of a black number, slightly offset. But there is no grouping, and deleting or editing the white one changes the black one as well, so I don't think that is the case.

The header of this document was created by someone else. I want to change the color of the drop shadows. I was able to figure out how to do it for the white box (Object>Effects>DropShadow>Color & Multiply). However I cannot figure out where the black shadow under the # sign and the number are coming from. They are both live, editable text, but there is no drop shadow effect applied to them. I have a border which is a 1pt black rounded rectangle (stroke, no fill). I'd like to cut an opening into the top crossbar. This screen shot shows what I want; I accomplished it using white bars, which is obviously unsatisfactory. Could someone tell me how to alter the path?

It is quite easy to make an object style that creates a symmetrical frame around a rectangular image. I'd like to know if it is possible to make an asymmetrical frame, i.e. the stroke is 0.5pt on the sides and bottom, but 2pt on the top.
