I received a scanned document in PDF format, which I rotated using the edit page functions and saved the pdf to a new file. If I reopen the file, the rotation is saved. However, if I open the file in Adobe Reader, rather than Acrobat, the file is rotated back to portrait. What gives?
When I convert my Word doc without lines over the page numbers to a PDF lines appear. How do I remove these lines?
Hello, as the title says, every time I highlight text in Adobe Acrobat or click on an image I've added, it opens up a little popup that blocks part of the screen and prevents me from working efficiently. How can I stop this from showing up? I have posted images of the 2 popups in question. Thanks!
Any time I try to delete or move the file from its location on the shared drive, I get this error. Yes, I have seen the suggestion that I disable preview pane and change layout to tile - none of these have worked. In addition, any time I make a comment, I am forced to rename the file. This is absurd. What I need:1. To be able to make comments without having to rename the file every time.2. To be able to move/delete the file FROM ITS NETWORK LOCATION without getting that error message. This shouldn't be that hard. Please advise.Thank you,Josh
Hello,Several colleagues and I have had an issue with using Acrobat Reader. We create a lot of searchable PDFs from digitised content for work, and are often checking them to see if they reflow. When we reflow a PDF, it will sometimes randomly switch between the text and image layers of the PDF. It will do this repeatedly with some files if you try to reflow the PDFagain, and not at all with others. I've found a temporary fix, which is to close the file and reopen it. The PDF will then reflow and stay on the text layer until we're ready to go back to the image layer. This seems to happen at random, and there isn't really any one particular characteristic that stands out in the PDFs that have had this problem. We use version 2024.002.20759. Any ideas as to what's causing this problem, or if there's a fix?
What a mess the Reader 2023 unser interface. Menu (three lines) top leftMenu bar (All Tools etc) just underMenu of random saving icons top rightMenu floating, and always in the wayMenu of pagination bottom right Why?!Can't find anything. It is just a reader, not that complicated. Absolutely no way I would pay for a more powerful version. Anyone else find it as frustrating?
The command bars, buttons and fonts are twice the size of those in Acrobat Pro, they take up too much space and restrict the amount of screen displaying the document -- how can I reduce to normal size (ie same as Acrobat Pro)? NB: this is not a 'zoom' issue! It must be due to Acrobat Reader not being able to automatically scale the window size for the larger monitor size. I am using Windows 10. BTW the same thing happens with Office 365 windows, but ONLY if File Explorer is set to preview documents in the Preview Pane, which currently it is not.In the image below, the top window is Acrobat Pro, the bottom one is Acrobat Reader DC, in a single screenshot taken on the 1920 x 1080 pixel 24-inch external monitor.
My desktop was recently updated to 2024. I tried to backup using Intuit Data Protect automatically, but it didn't work.
I used to be able to use my space bar to scroll down a document, a keyboard shortcut I found very useful. I changed some settings (in an attempt to prevent the #*&%# Bookmarks pane from opening every time I open a document) but I cannot get it back to the way it was. What happens now when I use the space bar is it works as intended the first time, but subsequent space bar inputs opens the comment box and advances the cursor within the comment box. Any input appreciated. Adobe Acrobat Reader 2024.002.20759
Hi allI work in an enterprise/education environment.I need to deploy Adobe Reader to 9500 devices. The default language and spellcheck options need to be in English UK.I have a distribution licence. The issue I am having is that all the sources I can find for the Reader DC downloads, and Reader 11, are US versions which default the language settings to English US and spellcheck to English US.I can't manually change those settings on so many devices.I have used various setup.ini and mst options in testing on US versions. These do add the English UK language but they do not set the default to UK.I have checked the forums for similar issues and found a few threads containing links to the UK distribution page for Reader. However, after choosing UK versions on these distribution pages, it is an en_US download, the file name is en_US as well.I have tried these downloads and they do not set the default language to English UK.I would greatly appreciate some info on how to get these English US f
When I use the image of my handwritten signature to sign a pdf doc, it's now suddenly looking different once inserted on the document. It always looked the same on the pdf as it looks in it's saved jpg file, and if I edited the jpg - like made it lighter for example - the way it appeared once inserted on the pdf would match and it would also be lighter. Now regardless of how I edit or change the way my signature looks in the jpg file, on the pdf file it keeps looking the same - dark, dark black with thick scraggly lines. See attached side-by-side the way signature looks as a jpg on the left, and they way it looks once inserted on the pdf?? I've tried changing the settings in preferances but it doesn't make a difference. Is there a way I can make my handwritten signature look like a proper handwritten signature again?
I'm trying to change wording in a document that I created. I'm using the edit tool. When I delete the original text, the entire text box moves to the right, leaving me with a blank screen on the left side of the screen.

In the adobe acrobat Pro application, it is not possible to request a signature. This option is just not available. However in the online version of Adobe, the option is there. Image 001 is the desktop version. Image 002 is the web version. To try and solve this issue these are the things done: Clean installation of adobe Adobe repairHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown\cServices

Currently I keep getting sent messages to update my payment information, however I’ve chosen to discontinue the service but cannot follow through with the cancelation, because the request that I update my payment information is preventing it. The problem with doing that, is that I'll obviously automatically be charged for another year and be forced to request that they Adobe pay me back. Which will be tiresome. Please help
Hi all - seeking a way to force enable automatic updates to Reader DC using group policy. The domain has roughly 1200 workstation end points with various versions of Reader DC going back several iterations; given the vulnerabilities in older versions, it's fairly important to our security and compliance team to get these addressed in a timely manner. I've downloaded the supplied ADMX template and created a new test group policy, however the provided template only allows for DISABLING updates, not ENABLING them. When I go into the policy and configure it in such a way as to enable the updates (and also remove user option to disable or manually run updates), the policy basically remains blank (no settings configured), as there is no real to "turn on" the update feature. Adobe's plethora of registry entries make it fairly challenging to nail down any one (or two, or three, or six) different settings needed to force clients to automatically update th
Hi All, Facing insufficient data for an image while opening PDF file on Adobe acrobat Reader 23.008.20470
Hi,I produce a lot of PDFs using the Latex Beamer Template (for presentations). When I view these PDFs on Acrobat Reader or Acrobat DC (macOS High Sierra), the PDF is sharp. However, when I switch to Full Screen Mode, and advance to the second slide, then the picture suddenly becomes blurry (the first slide in full screen mode is still sharp though). The issue only occurs with PDFs produced by Beamer.Interestingly, if I use Mac Preview and convert the PDF into a PDF-X3, then Acrobat DC shows the PDF sharp in Full Screen Mode. However, this step seems to mess up the colors, so I would like to avoid it.Does anyone know a good fix for this issue?Best,Richard
