scanned documents look bad, any ideas why?

I am running the latest version of Mac OS, Acrobat XI is updated, and I have the most recent drivers for my scanner.  I have uninstalled and re-installed Acrobat and the printer drivers but it has made no difference.  My printer is a Brother MFC7860DW and the error occurs when connect via USB and wi-fi.  Below is the error message.Process:               AdobeAcrobat [19065]Path:                  /Applications/Adobe Acrobat XI Pro/Adobe Acrobat Pro.app/Contents/MacOS/AdobeAcrobatIdentifier:            com.adobe.Acrobat.ProVersion:               11.0.07 (11.0.07)Code Type:             X86 (Native)Parent Process:    &nbs

when i scan the document is dark grey

Can anyone explain why the OCR would capture the word "Park," and the comma, but ignore every other word on the page?  I find this all the more perplexing in that it read the barely legible reception number on the next page(didn't read it right, but I can still go edit it to be correct) but failed to capture any other words.  Sometimes this is very frustrating in that the word I am searching for may literally be right next to a word that got OCR no problem.  Forgive me if this topic has already been tackled.  It just seems that if resolution or dpi were the issue, I wouldn't get much of anything.  Is there a way to manually add OCR where Adobe misses it?  Also, why would it get one "Park," but not all of them.  They are practically identical.  Help!

A have created a form with Acrobat DC. I have sent to receivers but they don't see the blue fields. Do they need to have the Acrobat DC?

Hi all,I need to create an action wizard that will add some white space to PDFs without changing the size of the document, so I have to shrink the content. This is so I can add a watermark to them without impeding any of the content on the document.I did find a half solution to this which was to add a 1 inch header to every page but I have many different PDFs all with varying sizes. Where this might work for most of the PDFs on the larger ones the watermark becomes too small to read if it is printed.So, I need to be able to add some white space as a percentage of the page size. This way it will not matter how big or small the PDF is the watermark will still be legible.Thanks in advance for any help!

When checking for updates (From the Help menu>check for updates) I get the message that Adobe Acrobat is already up to date. I'm running version 2015.010.20056.I have seen on the Adobe website that a newer version is available and also recommended as it is supposed to fix an issue with the "fill&sign" tool.What do I have to do to make the program find the update, or can I just download the newer version and install it?

I'm trying to istall free version (for 7 days) of Acrobat Pro DC. I downloaded file .exe but at the 7% of downoad pc makes error. I tryed to download again for 3 times, but I did't have success. what I have to do?I haven't a Mac

Is there a way to change the zoom settings, so when your given an oddball low dpi image you can size it to have it viewed in a somewhat similar size as the next (300% vs. fit width) with all the images consistant in size vs. one blowing out and the next the size of a mouse turd.

Since circa a month, I cannot add a Signature Field in Prepare Form Acrobat DC functionality.I'm using the "Add Signature Field" toolbar button.The field properties dialog shows me the right Signature type.If I save the document and I open it with Fill and Sign Acrobat DC functionality, the signature field is rendered as a text file.Also using other external tools the field is recognised as text field.Inspecting PDF file at lower level, in the PDF AcroForm catalogue, the field has the /FT field with "Tx" value, that following PDF specifications it is a text field (Signature fields must have the value "Sig").I'm pretty sure this problem was introduced with a recent update because a month ago (with version 2015.017.20053) the functionality was working.BTW: the Add Signature toolbar button is changed, in the new version there are 2 add signature button: Add Signature Field and Add Signature Block...Anyone experienced the same behaviour?How can I workaround too restore previous functionali

why now when i wish to print something say from an email do i have to save to my computer first before I can go any further

My fillable 941 report for the Internal Revenue Service doesn't work. I click on a fillable field and the info shows but disappears as soon as I move to the next field. The IRS gets upset when they don't get their reports. I'm using Adobe Acrobat Pro version 10.1.4 on Mac OS X version 10.8.5.

Hi, I'm having an issue where the file type for my PDF's are being saved with different punctuation. Some are being saved as .pdf others as .PDFSince these are being hosted on my website, the file type needs to be consistent, otherwise it won't show the document if the capitalization is wrong.Example: https://c761eecbd79071d9c578-5541377ae4e44cfbbc0efe790ed7f783.ssl.cf1.rackcdn.com/specs/010145/709-LPF60-12.pdf  This page won't load, but if you change the .pdf to .PDF it works.I can't figure out how to get the PDF's to always save as .pdf

Now that I've switched to Adobe, there is no longer an option in the drop-down printing menu for double sided prints. One forum said that it's my printer's fault. However I never had this problem before. I need to print couple sided. Help!

We purchased this program a couple years ago and it was installed on an old computer.  We have replaced that computer with a new one, I am trying to reinstall this program with the product key from the old computer onto the new computer and it is not recognizing it as a valid product key.  Can someone please help me with this? After searching around unsuccessfully, I suspect this is not possible in Acrobat, but I want to make sure before I give up.I have a pdf file with internal hyperlinks:  you click on one, and it takes you to another part of the document.  I would like to save this original.pdf so to another scaled new.pdf, say at 120% of the original file's size, making the fonts larger and the margins smaller, while also preserving the hyperlinks.  If I open new.pdf in any reader (not just Acrobat), it should be properly scaled.  Scaling is available in the print dialogue, but I don't want to print or print to a pdf, as it breaks the internal links.Is there any way in Acrobat to save a pdf as another scaled pdf, without printing?  Thanks.

I am trying to instal the demo version of Abobe Acrobat pro DC, but a error box appears saying "Host_Singleinstance", the only option is to click on "ok" and the aplication do not instal.Please help, I don´t know what to do =/

Hello Everyone,Using W7 Ultimate, Firefox 49.0.1 with Google Browser.I have scanned 8 separate parts of text and saved them as PDFs.I would now like to Edit them, join them together and enlarge the text then print them out.I have tried so many on-line free "Convert PDF to Word" offers, but each acts like a PDF when converted and does not allow Editing.Is there any way that I can obtain a FREE convert  PDF to Word, or is it only a "Pay for" option to obtain one that can actually be edited?Regards,Colin
