Media encoder started to crash on jobs similar to ones I've run successfully until today. Seems to happen when the I'm setting Premiere's Basic 3D Tilt setting to various angles (e.g. 50). Media encoder will rund for several minutes, but then crashes. The PC screen goes blank and monitor says 'no signal'. Graphics card's or PCs Fan (not sure which) starts to go high speed. Cannot recover without forced power down of PC. Running "less stressful" jobs does not crash the system. For example, I broke the video into a couple of parts and rendered them separately, followed by merging them together. Same video effect settings were used. So, there seems to be a memory leak/stack overflow type issue. Tried regressing to earlier Adobe versions, but still crashed. Tried updating all drivers. I'm not sure what changed from yesterday when things works fine, but there were some other Adobe updates (not Premiere or Media enco
Hello, I updated Premiere Pro and Media Encoder from 2023 to 24.4.1 recently. When I tried to create proxies, Media Encoder froze at the initial window. I quit and restarted, ME icon seemed to start, after a few seconds stopped. I tried a few times, same thing happened. The ME window doesn't even appear. From task manager, it seems there is an ME process on the background.I unistalled ME 2024 and installed it again (I had to quit the ME from task manager).Same thing after new installation, only the ME icon seems activated, then it stops. ME window nowhere to be seen. Some ME process running on the background (task manager). I have kept ME 2022 on my computer, which seems to work fine.I downloaded the 2023 version 23.6.6 which again seems to work fine. Is this a known bug ? I'm using the latest version of Media Encoder. Windows 11 Hi there, when I'm exporting my project, it will export around a little bit of the project and then it will either crash or stay stuck on one frame and not move. I've tried this multiple times and it still doesn't work, I'm unsure what the issue is here. It causes my PC and ME to crash. RTX 4080, i7 14700, 32gb ram (19gb allocated for ME)
1 picture: 1. you can see that the channel with video is on (FREE GUY SA TR TD) 2. you can see that the channel with graphics is on (TV PREMIER). 3. it is clear on the screen that both are turned on.After that, I press File/Export/Media Encoder in After and Media Encoder opens 2 pictures: 1. in Encoder you can see that there is no video (FREE GUY SA TR TD) while the graphic (TV PREMIERE) is visible, although you can see in the upper left corner that the video (FREE GUY SA TR TD) should be there. 3 pictures: 1. Media Encoder reports that the video is missing (FREE GUY SA TR TD). 4 pictures: 1. Don't dump the video (report Fail) I also attached the Error log, so there you go. Just a note, when I export/export video from Premier Pro via Media Encoder, everything works normally. In a short way, between After Effects and Media Encoder, something is wrong."
Hello, I'm still having trouble getting X/Twitter to authorize my login in AME and publishing from the app. Any updates on a fix for this. Tik Tok is working fine.
Many formats have the option to choose between joint stereo channels or separate mono tracks. For broadcast, separate mono tracks are often required. When choosing the XDCAM codec this option is greyed out in AME. The tooltip on mouse hover just says what the option normally *would* do, but not *why it's greyed out*. To make matters worse: depending on which preset you're coming from it is either shown as checked or unchecked whilst still greyed out either way, making it seem as if it's not active in some cases and not even possible to activate, because it's greyed out. Took me quite a bit to realize with this codec the option is *always active* despite being greyed out and sometimes incorrectly shown as unchecked. Further adding to the confusion: Premiere is interpreting the files we exported automatically as one stereo track by default. For practical purposes that would be fine– IF it didn't lead us editors to believe we weren't exporting separate mono trac
When I send sequences from Premiere Pro to Media Encoder, I cannot modify any settings to the sequence once they are in Media Encoder. The dropdowns for different codecs appear but when I select the different codec nothing changes. The workaround is to delete the sequence and return to Premiere to make the changes and send it back to Media Encoder. This also happens when I duplicate a job and want to add another output. I am trying to export a small portion of an AE composition as a thin video with a dimention of 60x2160 px. Using the crop panel in the export settings it's easy enough to set the dimensions and do the same to the video settings. However, the exported video file has a size of 64x2160px. If I go back into ME and double-check the export settings before starting the queue, the right side under the Video section now shows the video dimentions as 64x2160. The video exports at the correct dimensions using other formats like H.264 or Quicktime, but the dimensions won't stay where I've set them using HEVC. I can't seem to find any sort of minimum size limitations for HEVC, so I'm wondering if this is a bug.
Updated to the latest After Effects yesterday and now when I try to use AME to render AE comps all my footage is color bars. The renders work fine from the AE render queue, but I can't work on AE while it's rendering....
Hi,I'd like to report a bug in 24.3 (Build 49) of Media Encoder 2024. I'm running it on a 2023 Mac Mini with an M2 Pro chip on Ventura 13.4.In an attempt to batch-edit the export settings across 45 .mxf files in Media Encoder, I continue to run into an issue where my audio channel settings do not apply to all 45 files even though all of the other settings do apply.I changed the 4K UHD .mxf files to be 1080p .mov (QuickTime ProRes 422 Proxy) but need to have the audio output channels set to '5 channels' mono so they match the raws. This is so I can successfully attach them as proxies in Premiere.I've troubleshot a few different ways, including restarting the computer, saving & applying presets, and even reinstalling Media Encoder with my preferences deleted. None of these have helped fix this.Any help, workarounds, or patches would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Jack
Running ME makes system lag. Mouse lags. AE lags. Workflow lags while ME churning out BG renders... PLEASE FIX ASAP!
I have tried multiple options for encoding a video and during the last week, it has been looping the audio to the beginning at the halfway mark. During the last attempt, I chose "Match Source - Adaptive Medium Bitrate" and it still is giving this error. Is there a glitch that has yet to be reported? This has not happened to me before and I have not found a solution on this forum yet. There is no update shown avaibale in adobe creative cloud and my encoder is version 24.3. Thank you for any help.
Anyone know why, when exporting from Premiere Pro 24.3.0 to AME 24.3, with "import sequences natively" switched off, AME keeps burning in closed captions? If I switch "import sequences natively" back on, everything works fine, or if I export directly from Premiere, things work fine. I was needing to fix another bug with embedded sequences not rendering properly when natively imported to AME, so I changed the settings, only to find that I could not stop AME from burning in closed captions.Any help would be great. I've been doing workarounds for some time now. Thanks Premiere Pro 24.3.0Windows 10intel 13900K64GB RAMRTX4090 551.61
I dont know if this is a bug, or me not knowing how to use this.I used to send a bulk of videos to Me so I dont have to render one by one. I had a specific mograt that would not render, but ok.I updated to Windows 11, and due to SSD problem had to reinstall all apps. Now, when I bulk render in Me, it will not render the mogarts or whatever graphics, and it will not even render all of the video(it will render whole length, but half of it in black). So, with same custom preset, I have now to render every video one by one, a total of 57 videos. What am I missing??
Last two updates of Adobe Media Enccoder (23.5 and 23.4) make AME freezing on import of AVI files with MJPEG codec. The latest version of AME what works fine is 23.3.
It seems silly but a small pop-up that states "Font activation plug-in disabled" disables adding videos to the render queue or use Media Encoder. The annoying thing is that the pop-up "pop-ups" behind the ME window and often behind every open window on the computer. It won't even show up when viewing all ME windows on mac. After moving all open windows and finding the pop-up I just click "Ok" and everything works fine. I use "connect fonts" as a font management which is the reason for the pop-up.
I had this issue in previous version:When I export from Premiere Pro to Media Encoder to render or if I try to create proxies, AME only renders 1 frame and all i get is a still image for the duration of the original video sequence...I deactivated Dynamic Link which solved my problem... Now after the last update I have the same issue, but not from the beginning:Started to create 15 proxies in a queue... everything fine...Then i startet another 4... fist was fine, 3 others again just 1 frame... all 4 was 1 queue!I tried a proxy that already worked... it didn't work again.... doesn't matter what I want to render, I just get 1 or 2 frames an then just this one image for the duration of the video! I tried to deactivate DynmicLink again ("native import") but for what ever reason it doesn't solve my problem anymore! Can anyone help please? really urgent and I have no idea what to try...If I render with Premiere Pro everything is fine, but AME just gives me a video with the corr
Hello, I have issue with ME2024. It keeps on crashing during rendering (crashes, jams system not responding at all and eventually reboots Finder) and I haven't found any resolution yet. Sometimes rendering goes complete but most of the tries fails. My system is 16" MBP mid 2019 2,4GHz 8-core Intel Sonoma 14.2.1 installed. I usually transcode large files from prores hq to high quality mp4. Fcpx/Motion user and some supported 3rd party plugins installed. Now trying back 2023 versions. If you have any ideas I could check and would possible give any hint what's going on please help me. BR, Jussi
If you set a custom output name in media encoder, and then click the check mark for 'Use Maximum Render Quality', the custom name is reset back to whatever it was originally. This is particularly unhelpful as the Output Name appears first so if you're going down the list setting all of your output settings, and then check 'Use Maximum Render Quality', you may not realise that the Output Name has been reset.
Hi team,I'm attempting to send a raw photo sequence from AE to Media Encoder for export. The photo sequence is edited in Lightroom Clasic and then imported to AE. A comp is then created from the image sequence. The sequence is comprised of about 300 Nikon raw NEF files (a timelapse sequence). I'm attempting exporting in Qucktime Proress HQ format, using the original image size, at 30 fps. In ME this is the error seen in the log:Export ErrorError compiling movie. We have a watch folder set up to encode videos when we move video clips into it.Usually after the clip is placed into the "Watch" Folder the encoding begins and the completed clip is placed in a folder named "Output" and the origanal clip is moved into a folder named "Source".Now the origanal clip stays in the folder it where it was first placed and nothing is in the "Source" folder and the completed clip is placed in a folder named "Output".The problem is that the encoding process will start again the next time Encoder is run, as the clip is still in the "Watch" folder.Adobe Media Encoder 2024V. 42.3 (Build 49)
