My issue is that I keep on receiving emails from info.adobesystems with various offers, free invitations, prizes etc which look like phishing/spam. But the email itself looks legit, all logos and footer branded with Adobe + enabled by adobe badge. Can anyone please let me know if I should trust those emails or not. Is this phishing? Best thing is to opt out from all marketing communications.  I don't find them useful so I have opted out completely from everything. I used to get tons of messages from Adobe when I was very active but I am dissilussioned with the way these forums are managed so I don't bother to visit here often.  I have reverted to old CS6 products and Photoshop Element and for most part I use Corel's PaintShop Pro Ultimate.  I just got an update for PSP 2019 for £17.00 with  5 different apps in it. Once you have opted out from them, you should not receive anything but if you are still receiving them then you know they are pure spam phissing items so you need to filter them. When I do as you suggest below and try to copy or move a line (hung up on that, I know), I cannot see a duplication or get a copy, I get a rectangular what you call I guess a bounding box. Maybe I need someone to speak slowly or draw me a map! The way I duplicate the "object" - this could be your line or any shape, then make that layer active by clicking on it and then press CTRL+J.  Now activate the Move tool and use the arrow keys of your keyboard to move the shape on the screen.  Pressing the SHIFT+Arrow keys makes the shape move 1 pixel at a time.  Try it and let us know. ... You need to open at least 2 documents/images to see that this is working.  It works on my system so perhaps make your settings and click OK.  after that close PSE before starting again.  then open 2 images one by one and you will see it does work.  You can move them and stick them at a new location. ... When you click on the "License this product"  button as shown in your image, does it start normally?  Have you tried it?  Normally all you need is to enter your valid registred email and the product gets licensed for the next 38 days after which you may be required to sign in again unless you are online all the time so the product gets validated in the background without you knowing it.  How 38 days came is something I don't know but I have tried it once to test the theory. ... You can buy PSE and PE for Windows.  If you want to buy from Adobe Website then make sure you are using a Windows system when ordering so that you don't have to use any drop-down Menus to select a product for a different system.  By default, Windows users get Windows download and MAC users get MAC downloads but people can change the version by using the small down-arrow button to change a different version.  I wouldn't rely on this to get the correct download. Adobe staff can help you change the version but it is a long process.  So cut the problem and use Windows system to buy a Windows Application. Alternatively, buy from Amazon if it is available in your country of residence as they have versions that ships with DVDs for both systems - Windows & MACs. Hope this helps. ... View more

Does something like this help: The way I did is to first delete the white background using Magic Wand and then create a new Layer and move it at the bottom of the pile and use Fill Layer feature on this new layer to create a new color for your background. Hope you get the idea. ... View more

What is your operating system?  You need to end the task of any Organizer still running.  In Windows 10, press the following three keys: CTRL+ALT+DEL Then choose Task Manager Then look for something like this: After selecting the Organizer from the list, you need to press the End Task button as shown in the above picture. By default edited files are saved in the same folder as the original file.  Depending on how you save the file, it might have extension .psd and this file retains all your layers which can be re-edited at a later date. If you hover over the file in Recent Files start-up screen, it will tell you where the file is located. ... View more

You need to tell us whether you are in Organizer or Editor.  Also, tell us when does it freeze?  Is it when you try to open the file or does it freeze when you try to edit the file? You say " using PSE 12 on windows 10 with gmail " and you also say " to get a new verification code".  this is confusing to me. There are two ways to send a photoMail: 1) You can use Microsoft Outlook - so you need to configure it to use gmail servers; 2) You can use Adobe Mail services - so you need a verification code. I suggest use an Adobe Mail service and to request a new verification code, go to: Edit >> Preferences >> Sharing Now fill up your name and email address. Then you can send a photomail by launching the organizer and selecting Sharing from the top right corner. then choose Photomail and from the drop down menu, select Adobe Mail Service. Press Next button two or three times and you will get a dialog box like this: In the above box, your name will be pre-printed but the verification code is something you need to request again by pressing the Resend Email button shown in the picture. Probably you need to reset the tool so that it is back to normal.  Can you still open it or is it just refusing to open completely?  To open it Press the letter F and then at the bottom of the Screen, you will see something like this: Notice the red boxed item in the picture that allows you to reset the tool or all tools.  I suggest reset all tools so that you are back to default for all tools.
