I'm having an issue with AE where it clips my white values when I put any effect (exposure, hue/sat, etc) on my layers. Even negative exposure of -.01 will suddently clip the whites. It's like it turns it into 8bit instead of its native 32.Project color settings are OCIO Aces 1.3/32 bit / working linear ACEScg.,Sequence is a 32bit ACEScg exr, interpreted as ACEScg,viewport display is set to sRGB Display/ACES 1.0 - SDR Video (tried others too). Also tried None and have been  using the OCIO display transform on an adjustment layer.Raw Sequences look great, but when I put an effect (like exposure) on some sequences directly, I notice whites get capped with barely any adjustment, even negative adjustment of exposure.Weird: I can buffer the entire animation with capped (wrong looking) whites, and in the OCIO Display Transform effect, if I hit 'reset' it will 'fix' the entire sequence once. So it looks perfect. If I adjust a single thing, it re-caps all whites. Hitting reset again fixes

I was following this Dithering Effect Guide and the effect looks great in my app but it loses the effect once exported. This is what it looks like in the comp preview:  This is what it looks like when exported: I followed the youtube guide and toggled the Quality and Sampling as well as adjusted the Render Settings to "Current Settings" There is some extra layering inside of pre-comps that might be causing complications. Recently had to reinstall Windows 11 due to error when updating most of my CC apps to the latest version. After reinstalling After Effects, I noticed the preview screen is black when paused. It plays fine but, as soon as playback is paused, the entire screen goes blank. This happens in any project with any media. I have updated graphics card to latest driver, updated drivers to monitors, uninstalled and reinstalled AE, uninstalled and reinstalled to previous version, made sure the preview is not set to "Wireframe," turned off "Hardware Accelerate Composition, Layer, and Footage Panels" and set rendering to "Mercury Software Only," cleared cache multiple times, restarted computer and AE multiple times, started in safe-mode, started in safe-mode with plugins disabled and preferences reset, made sure AE is added to graphics list with it set to "High Performance" graphics card, tried different preview resolutions. When I open After Effects, I get this message:“Please connect to the internet as soon as possible so the license can be activated (101). The license must be activated online within 2 days or it will become invalid.”This has been happening since yesterday. I’ve already reinstalled the app, signed out and back into my Adobe account, but the message keeps appearing no matter what. I’m really worried because I have important projects to work on in the next few days, and it would be a huge problem if After Effects suddenly stopped working even though my license is valid.I’ve followed all the troubleshooting steps mentioned in another thread, but nothing seems to fix it. I used to just copy docakble scripts into the ScriptUI Panel folder manually. But I tried the 'install ScriptUI Panel' menu option today. Restarted Ae and it worked fine. But when I looked in the ScriptUI Panel folder there's no copy of my script there ??? On install a dialog said the script was successfully copied to my preferences folder, but i can't find it anywhere and I can't find any other copy with the same name or any hidden files. what's going on? how do I remove a file I can't even find ?Ae 25.5 on Mac OS 15.5

Hello,I am struggling to get this expression to work. I thought someone might be able to help me. I want a text layer to move y position depending on an if-else statement. If the text field is one or two line heights or not move to y1 or y2 position... Right now, this code works, but instead of moving the y it displays the y position with the text value. Hello, I have a Asus TUF 15 with 32gb ram, with a Nvidia RTX 3050, 12th gen i7 12700 and the After Effects 25 wont open. I tried every single version of the after effects 25 and it doesnt open in any circumstances.  Can someone please help? i need to work in a project and I need to use this laptop to work on it 

When doing renders from the command line it seems that I can not get the -reuse flag to work anymore after After Effects version 2021.Is this functionality no longer supported? Or am I doing something wrong? It works when I have an instsance open of After effects 2021 or earlier and use this command:"/Applications/Adobe After Effects 2021/aerender" -project "/Users/macbook/test.aep" -comp "main_comp" -OMtemplate "h264mp4"  -output "/Users/macbook/test.mp4" -reuse But when I try this with After Effects 2022 or the llatest beta version:"/Applications/Adobe After Effects 2022/aerender" -project "/Users/macbook/test.aep" -comp "main_comp" -OMtemplate "h264mp4"  -output "/Users/macbook/test.mp4" -reuse It doesn't render and gives me this error:"aerender SYNTAX ERROR: Illegal argument flag: -reuse" Any help would be greatly appeciated. 

Hi,I need some guidance. How can I have a blurry end in stroke after applying Trim path animation? I have been trying for hours, studying motion blur, trying masking, feathering masks, Echo effect and what not 😠...  but am rowing like a rudderless boat.. am going nowhere. I want a blurry stroke end when the trim path animation stops.. but every time my trim path animation gives me a hard edge and no aesthetic view.. What can I do?? 😥 Please guide me..
