After Effects

I’ve noticed that during rendering a complete software crash occurs of After Effects 2026 during rendering with the latest nvidia graphics rtx driver for 4070 super -579.79 for both studio and graphics driver which are the same version, updated march 10 2026 - . After restarting the software, thanks to your programmers, the problem points to boris fx’s Sapphire Effect’s WarpBubble2 plugin. I have downgraded my nvidia driver to 595.71 and have been able to render normally without any crashes or malfunctions.I wanted to report this, as other parts of the software or GPu related plug-ins might fall into this issue. Regards. 

Hi all,when trying to change the scale of a selected layer using the property panel, I also change another layer scale. It looks like the property panel has two layers selected even if I select one layer only. It also doesn't matter which layer I have selected because it keeps working on the same 2 layers. Hopefully you can see it in this ugly screeen recording. Sorry I'm in a rush.

I’m working in linear ACEScg and I’m having an issue with AE motion blur clipping the highlights of footage when it’s active and the layer is set to ADD. The elements are interpreted correctly and works just fine until motion blur is enabled. I have the element on black in the examples below. You can see the scopes on the left where the motion blur is off has very bright highlights, and when the Motion blur is on those same highlights get clipped. Luckily, Lighten does work in these shots, but Add should not be clipping source. the only change is that Motion blur is enabled. This should not be happening.  

So these previews have twixtor in them, the video and the twixtpr is 30 fps but the composition is set to 60 fps, whenever I played the preview I see this random frame glitch, plzz help me 

There are pale yellow HUDs that follow the cursor when mousing over the Graph Editor. When a layer and it’s keyframes have been stretched (via Time Stretch), the speed graph HUD shows the value (eg. in px/sec) as they would be if the layer was NOT stretched. Hi there,I have a problem with my After Effects project. Whenever I move forward or back in the timeline, this error message comes up. I can not work properly on the file anymore, but I urgently need to export some plexus effects as SVGs and work in it. Can someone help me how to fix the mistake?Regards Stephan

I recently updated Ae to version 25.2.  My current projects were all defaulted to automatically open with version 2024. I went into my settings (using Mac OS 14.5) and changed to 2025 as default, but when I tick the box to "change all" it forces the Beta version as the default.  How can I make the 2025 version the default? This used to work, I feel like it's an issue with this update?

Hi, I’m new to AE and I was wondering if there was a way for me to combine all of these mask into one mask. I am trying to animate this image from top to bottom but since there are multiple mask it is animating it sequentially. Alternatively is there a way to prevent multiple mask from being created when tracing a complex image?

Tenho um plugin externo de estenção chamado Brazu Motion sempre funcionou numa boa. Recentemente eles atualizaram o plugin que preciso acessar pelo navegador, porém o after 2026 esta com incompatibilidade no plugin por que toda vez que eu clico nele só carrega e faz nada. Ja configurei a aba de scripts mas nada resolveu. Gostaria de saber se alguém ta com esse tipo de problema e conseguiu resolver. 

I am trying to create a video that is a seamless loop in both the visual and audio. After I export the file from after effects, the visual plays in a seamless loop, but the audio does not - there is a tiny space of silence in between. I imported the file into Adobe Premiere, along with the original audio file, and the waveforms are different. There is silence at the beginning and end of the waveform in the After Effects file, in addition to the waveform being slightly off throughout. I cannot figure out why AE is doing this or how to fix it. Any insights are greatly appreciated!

The 2 images above are a wide to a medium shot of my film. The background is 4K and there’s no problem to scale into the different shots (wide, close-up etc). However the animated characters are .mov files and if I was to simply take the composition as a whole and scale in (which would be so easy and great!) -the characters lose a significant amount of quality.If I parent the characters to the footage they will scale but at the scale they are already at in the wide shot -so for example -a character in image 1 above -the wide -might be at 30%. When I parent to the footage, the character will scale up but stay at 30% so not as good quality.  What I’ve been doing is scaling everything separately with key frames -for each shot -which takes a long time with all the above characters! There must be a better way -can anyone help?!

Where is the implementation of display color space transforms via mercury transmit? My second monitor is now useless if I want to use OCIO color management. Why does it not follow the displat color space set under the compostion window?

I reinstalled my computer. My previous local fonts are not available anymore. I open a project I was working on, get this message. Ok, it works. But the problem is that after I click ok, after effects is not showing the missing fonts. I have no clue which fonts I am missing and it would take a lot of work to manually set all the text layers again.
