Hello there, I tried to edit an audio Clip in Adobe Audition from the premiere Pro Timeline but It didn't work. No clip opened into Audition. ALL the apps are updated.My Computer is a Mac Pro (late 2013) with MacOS Catalina 10.15.132BD ram 1866 MhZ DDR3AMD FirePro D500 3GB graphic card. Thanks for helping! BestGraziano

Hello, Since update to Adobe 2020 I can't no longer Generate Speech. Before update not a problem. The box opens, but as soon a change from "male" to "female" Audition freezes and can't be opened again until I restart the computer. I'm on a Macbook Pro / High Sierra

Hello! I recently bumped into some really weird problem. I made a favorite preset wich is puts 1.5 sec silence to the end of the file. It works in the waveform editor without any issue: Id like to use this preset in batch process. And the problem is as shown in the picture the waveform is cut off. Did I made a mistake or is it a bug?    Preset looks like this:   Thanks for help! 

I have a mixer and I have the output connected to the input of the computer. If I record speech on a mic on one of the channels, it records perfectly in Audition. However, if I try to record what ever is playing on my computer speakers, just static or a buzz is recorded in audition. I tried connecting the output of the computer to the input of my mixer and see that the mixer is receiving audio, but Audition still does not. I saw on here a product called VAC, so I installed it, changed my preferences in Audition, but still nothing.

I have audio clips with different volumes. I'd like to make them the same. Wow, has this been hard!  Well, it seems doable using the Speech Leveler effect. However, when I use that I find that I get such loud breaths in the result that Noise Reduction can't remove them without excessive distortion. Any hope? I also see that I can pull up the yellow volume line of a clip to change its volume. That seems like a crude, awkward method. But it doesn't seem to add distortion.  In the pursuit of equal volume I've tried to learn how to determine what is the numerical volume level or average of a clip. I've used the Amplitude Statistics button to take readings of clips. I can get an Average RMS value by doing that. It seems like these numbers vary quite a bit each time I re-scan a clip or audio selection! And that number doesn't seem to be very useful for helping me make 2 clips with different volumes have the same volume.  Anyone have a link to wonderfully he

Audition CS6; adding wav files [48KHz, 24bit] into a multitrack session [32 bit mixing].Clips [files], but not all,  that have played properly in this session, now play very distorted, and at full [or very nearly] level.We have gone back to the previously exported * session to recover and re-edit, but we really don't want this happening again.( * I tend to do File, Export,  Session...  (having previously checked the box in Preferences to 'Associate all fiels with the session' [whatever] ) so that Audition creates a folder with all the needed files for that session next to where i save the session .sesx file.  )Any and all ideas please!ThanksJohn

...It's looking unlikely. I have a nicely sound-damped space in the basement to record. But our house is old and when anybody walks around upstairs I hear floor squeaks. I thought that kind of sound could be removed but that now seems unlikely. When I use noise reduction processes enough to remove the squeaks the process also removes the quality of the narration... I've been trying both Noise Reduction and also the Dynamics Autogate. When NR is used enough I get a huge amount of that hollow "bonging chiming" sound. Autogate removes squeaks between sections of dialog and still preserves some quality but then all sound between words disappears and it's unnatural. And squeaking within dialog remains, which sounds bonkers. I was able to remove steady background sounds and mic hum very well and was even able to diminish breathing so it wasn't prominent but still was present enough to be natural. And the file still sounded good to me. So I was good to go ... except for clunks

I was listening to a file and it's good. Then somebody turned on a water faucet and I heard the water running. In the spectral graph I saw the water flow start -- there it is, a band of sound going through the narration. I wondered, Is there a way to remove that band without removing the voice that it's going through?  Since this was a constant sound I think I pretty much figured out how to remove it without hurting the rest of the sound. I used the Capture Noise Print and NR process. I think it worked!

Hi... I'm prepping audiofiles for my first audiobook. I'm learning about the RMS and Peak and other ACX requirements -- I think I have a handle on those. I'm having more trouble with noise reduction. I've read here about leaving some breaths since they're natural. But I do have some mic hum. And I recorded in my house in a padded area of the basement, but kids were sometimes upstairs and some clomps and creaks got in. I don't mind having some little things here and there in the recording -- i'm not ashamed that it's amateur. ...But it wd be nice to remove mic hum and big clunks, breaths and mouth sounds that are obtrusive. While maybe just lowering some of the natural background yet not trying to totally remove it. Anyway, those are my goals. When I google this subject I find a link to a Audition forum/community article titled "Workflow for noise reduction and speech volume." Sounds great but it seems to be gone -- part of the old forum, I'm guessing. Any new link? I'm learni

I have been using Audition CC 2019 for a few months.  Today, I recorded a voice over for a podcast and started to mix and master.  I was hearing a lot of sizzle and pops.  I thought at first that it was a mic issue.  I tried to use DeNoise & DeClipper, but I still had issues.  I uploaded the file to drive and listened there and no issues.  The issue seems to be isolated to playback thru the software.  Anyone else run into this and can help us figure it out. Thanks!

I've been having a constant struggle with Audition and my current microphone setup and it's driving me up a wall so hard I'm already considering quitting using Audition if I can't fix it soon. The program regularly boots up with an error message saying that my audio hardware settings need changing due to different hardware, even though I haven't unplugged anything unless I'm packing it for a recording session away from home. When I edit the settings, it says that my Behringer UMC202HD is "not working" even though I can get audio through it and Audacity will recognize it as a working microphone. I know for certain that the drivers are up to date because I went out of my way to install it and I've checked the Device Manager on my PC to make sure that there aren't any problems with the drivers. When Audition does recognize the audio interface as a working input, it will let me set the proper inputs for the recording tracks, but it won't allow me to record at all. Audition ran on my old machine, bought new laptop and it will not run after launching, get no screen but if you try to re launch, it thinks it is runing. Is there a way to see the individual files in editor view automatically as they are individually processed while running batch processing rather than have to double click on them?

Hi guysI have recorded my first podcast on a Zoom H6 using 2 PodMics and XLR-cables. The sound on each of the tracks is good - until I make a multitrack and place the two mono-tracks under each other. Then the sound is suddenly noisy and only gets good, once i mute one of the tracks. Does it makes sense? And what do I do wrong?//Martin

Hi,I just bought a Forcusrite Scarlett 4i4 Interface and I am completly unable to make Audition and the interface working together.I choose Scarlett in the Hardware material in the preferences in Audition, but I hear nothing and when I try to record, my mike is not working, no soundis recorded.Can someone help? When my partner and I record a podcast through Audition, I rarely have the application front and center. I'm either moving to Spotify, Chrome, or iTunes to access research materials or play media. If I flub and need to mark the spot quickly, pressing M in Audition is great for immediate referencing. The problem I have is that, if I add a global keyboard shortcut through System Preferences, it doesn't want to work. I just get the "donk" (uh oh) sound whenever I run it outside of the app. I've tried both applying it to All Applications as well as Adobe Audition CC 2019. Neither will accept the key combo outside of the app. If I'm in Audition, both the default "M" or my custom keystroke (⌃⌥⌘M) will call a marker. It's being applied to "Add Cue Marker" which is under Edit > Marker. What am I doing wrong?

So, in order to describe this as best as I can, I may be using a few metaphors. So please bear with me. In Audition CC, I have recorded my audio through Audition, and I am currently working on the multitrack section. Whenever I start playing the audio, there will be distortion that the sound will bounce back and forth between both the left and right speaker in strength, and when replaying the same portion of the audio, the distortion may disappear. Let us call this effect something akin to debris in a glass of water. When you shake it, sometimes it will be on this side of the glass, sometimes it will be on that side, but there will be enough distortion that it will not settle on a position, but instead pop up from time to time. Fun, right? But I thought to myself that if it is inconsistent, it may just be my speakers acting up for whatever reason. Hi, So I downloaded the creative cloud package so I could work on my uni projects from home but I am opening up Adobe Audition and it won't let me do anything because the verify your email message comes up but my email is already verified and it won't let me go any further than that as the message won't disappear , I have a project on audition due in in two days and this is a serious problem for me now so any help would be much appreciated , thank you. 

I used Audition CC 2017 to burn a CD for my Truck. The album in question was "Speaking in Tongues" by "Talking Heads". I put all the tags in the CD-Text, except for Message. After putting the CD in the Truck and all the tags show except for Artist, showing a ▯. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Or does either Audition or the Truck not support the tag?Here are some images...

I spend a lot of time with two Audition files open at the same time. Two questions: (a) Can I open each in a separate window, and then cut and paste/drag parts from one to another?(b) Currently I have to click on the little 3-bar icon in the Editor header to show me which other file(s) I have open. I then select the file I want and it opens. To go back to the original I have to reverse the process. Is there some quick key combination (i.e., like CMD TAB) that allows me to quickly switch between two open files??Thanks.

Hi, I'm having problems with a very basic function of Adobe Audition.  I'm trying to record from a midi keyboard.  My sound source is a software sampler - Miroslav Philharmonik 2.  The audio interface is a Presonus Audiobox USB 96 with a driver listed as ASIO. I'm playing on midi channel 1 from the keyboard into the computer to the sampler and it's coming out of the speakers through the Presonus box.   I've attached a screenshot of the input device page from Audition.  I see I can only add one screenshot but I have a similar one for the sampler program. I promise you I have been trying to solve this on my own. The tutorials all go for very cool things you can do with your recording but don't seem to talk about how to get  instruments to talk to the software.  If you can let me know where to go to study this information I'd appreciate it! Thanks!

I currently have the most recent version of Audition on my Mac and have been having a hard time getting my interface to talk to Audition. I have updated the drivers for my interface and I tried it out with another DAW, so I know my interface works. The issue seems to be with Adobe. Anyone else have this issue? I'm using a Scarlett 18i8. thanks

Hi all, I'm just now learning Audition coming from a Logic Pro background. So far everything seems straightforward, though like driving a new car, you kind of have to poke around for features and relearn shortcuts. Submasters (using a bus), and even sub-mastering several subs, was pretty simple.   But when I tried parallels sends, it seems that I can only do one send per channel. In Logic (and indeed any PA mixer), it is common to have 4 to 6 sends, so you can dial each channel into, e.g., a hall, plate reverb, and/or delay. It appears I can only do one parallel send in Audition. This seems like a pretty serious omition. What am I missing?
