Does Audition offer Closed Captioning?

Hello all, Excuse my ignorance in this matter. I have been trying to figure this out for the longest, I think I may have figured it or reading through some material. I am recording for a podcast I'll have to look when I get home, but I think the speech volume leveler effect is on when I record and when I go to Normalize to -0.1 db in post the audio is loud and hissing. Should I only be using one? I try to normalize it because even with the gain adjusted to give me levels around -10 db I get no activity on the track volume. So should I not be normalizing in post? Any help would be great.

Hello,I've been recording an audio book for the last few months and am coming to the final chapters. However, I turned on Adobe Audition last week and, when recording, the sound levels are much lower than when I recorded previously. I've replaced both my microphone and sound adapter thinking it may be these but nothing has changed. The sound levels are considerably different and I haven't changed any settings in Adobe.Can anyone advise how to increase volume during recording or before recording? Thanks in advance!

I know a few ways of cutting, my favorite being to hit the R button, which is for the razor, but the problem with it is that I have 3 layers of audio, and I don't want it to be cutting my other two tracks, which it does, I am using a Multi track session, Thanks in advance lemme know if you have any questions

Hello,Does anyone  know why the "arm for record" tab is greyed out? All the drivers are up-to-date, it is the latest version of audition and the same microphone works currently with voice-overs on premiere. I have been using audition for about 2 months to do podcasts and never had an issue but tonight this started happening.I updated to the newest version of audition (12.0)and still nothing.Please help!

Hi everyone,I am in the process of starting a podcast, and purchased a Soundcraft Signature MTK 12 to use with Audition CC2018. As a test I just want to record to 3 channels simultaneously. I have Mics plugged into 1 and 2 on the mixer, and have an iphone plugged into 3 which i want to record as well. I have the first three tracks of the multitrack interface set up  the first three channels of the mixer. I have armed them, but only tracks 1 and 2 will record. Additionally, if I move one of the mics to channel 3 on the mixer it will no longer record, even in track three of the multitrack interface, which has its input set to channel three of the mixer. How can i use more of the channels to record than just 1 and 2? I have set the audio input to ASIO and have access to all 14 input channels, but only the first 2 will record.Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi Forum,i have just recently started using Audition to edit the studio recording Files from my band. Been using the Version 11.1.1 for most of the time, but then 12.0 arrived.Thing is though I tried to start 12.0, the initial screen showed up but then immediately the Adobe Crash Report Window Popped up. As far as i can recall v 12.0 worked once but now every time it tries to start up it just crashes. Maybe some Cache problem? Can anybody help?:) v 11.1.1 is also a pain in the buttex because when I add a effect to a channel, like for example distortion. it also crashes. Thanks, maybe i'm not the only one. My Pc:Windows 10 Pro 64bit, 16GB Ram, AMD FX 8350 Eight-Core Processor 4.00GHz, SSD 500GB

Can my ancient Tascam US144 be used with the current Audition CC?  It is not the MKII.  Does anyone on here use a US144 currently?

My company still has us on AA3, which is fine -- I love it, except for one massively frustrating behavior I can't seem to find a solution for.  If I'm in the edit view, select part of an audio file and right-click>Insert To Multitrack, it inserts the file on a new track that it creates.  For example, if my session has five tracks and I do an Insert to Multitrack, now I have six tracks instead of inserting the clip someplace on one of the five existing tracks.  In previous versions, it wouldn't create a new track unless I specifically did so, and that's what I want.This link -- Home Recording  -- suggests that there's a checkbox in the "Multitrack Clips section," but I can neither find that section, nor can I find any mention of it in a Google search.  My new(ish) computer rejects 1.5 for some reason, so there's no going back.  Anyone have an idea on how to stop this infuriating behavior?

I am preparing files for ACX. They require that the audio "measure between -23dB and -18dB RMS and have -3dB peak values and a maximum -60dB noise floor." How I set BOTH the peak value AND the RMS average at the same time. The raw footage that comes from the studio has as an RMS average just below ACX's requirements ... somewhere between -26dB and -34dB ... when it is normalized to -3dB. Is this an issue that can be corrected in Audtion? Or, is it something that needs to be corrected in the studio when recording?

Hi... after I updated to AA 2019 my asio Line 6 UX8 won't open in hardware settings. The hardware works perfectly with other apps and pc was just tuned up and updated today by Best Buy, so there are no other issues. Also, my Line 6 UX2 doesn't work either. My other asio card (Focusrite Safire) works, just not the Line 6 hardware. There are no known issues with line 6 and audition as far as I know. I tried uninstalling and re-installing audition and the line 6 drivers, but to no avail. Please help! I have about a week to finish a project! Also, I opened AA 2018 (it still was in Creative Cloud App) and still had the same problem. AA 2018 is now deleted. Thanks in advance.Larry

hi all,within minutes (literally less than five minutes) working in the new Audition CC2019 I'm finding problems. The "duplicate track" function doesn't work properly. Let's say that you duplicate track 1 (with it's particular bus routing setup or whatever) to create track 2. Now if you mute track 1, track 2 will also mute (even though you have not actually opted to mute track 2 and the tracks mute button does not show as activated). Or if you solo track 1, then track 2 will also play through the mixer as if soloed. Thus rendering the duplicate track function absolutely f*cking useless.Anyone else replicating this same problem, I'm assuming it's not just me?

With a larger 4k screen Adobe Audition seems to fine but the plugins are so small it's nearly impossible to make selections.  It would be good if they scaled.

I recently purchased a Zoom SSH-6 shotgun stereo microphone, a very special mic that lets you record in a raw format and decide how much stereo/peripheral sound you want to include - when you're working on the mix later. This is great for me - because as a reporter, I don't always know when peripheral sounds will conflict with the sound of the main person I'm interviewing. But I want the OPTION to include the ambient sounds.However, the mic requires a VST to process the raw file.When I download it, it's a .dll file, which is not a VST - and Adobe doesn't recognize it as a VST to open. I have never worked with VSTs in Audition before, so I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.Does anyone know how to close the loop on this - so that I can process the raw SSH-6 signal?

Hi guys,I'm running the latest build of Audition (12.0.0.241) on a Mac running Mojave.I have my Behringer X32 Set up over USB and a Multitrack session using the X32 channels as inputs, but I am getting NO AUDIO from the X32.This is a configuration that has worked previously. I know the issue isn't with the mixer or the connection, as it all works perfectly in other software (I downloaded demos of Reaper and Studio One to test). I have X-USB (the usb interface for the X32) set in Audio Hardware as the Input and Output (I also tried with the output set to built-in). In the file, I have all the tracks set with a channel from the X32 as the input and they're armed. But I get nothing. What am I missing?-Shawn

Hi.I am using the Adobe Creative Cloud App for Mac. I opened up Audition CC for the first time. I selected New Audio File and named my file. I did about 4 of these tests. I then recorded for 45 minutes and it was up in the top left hand window under files, with the file name I gave it.I opened some multitrack session and imported another audio file and played around with these but the whole time my original audio recording remained untouched.I closed Adobe Audition.When I opened it back up I went to the open file option and there was a creative cloud files option in my drive. When I clicked in there, it had Audition/ 12.0/ backup and in there were a bunch of .sesex files, none of them with any sound. My audio file is nowhere to be found. I have searched for the name on my mac but I can't find it. Any ideas where it might have gone? I checked in preferences and it is set to autosave every 10 minutes so there should at the very least be recovery files there. But where are they?This is re

I recorded a voice track earlier today. Unfortunately my computer crashed. WhenI restarted Audition I tried to recover the files but all the files that appeared in the program are missing the wave forms, they are basically mute. Is there any way to get my work back? Thank you.

I'm using Audition to record some basic demos and am running into trouble.The set up:2015 iMac 27"Zoom R16 interface (w/ most recent updated drivers)Various cardiod and dynamic micsRecording settings:44k32 bit float1024 khz buffer16 gig memory dedicated to AAAs soon as I start adding more than 4-5 tracks, things start going off the rails. Audible clicks and pops (sorry, not sure how best to describe this ... digital artifacts maybe?) are present, both while recording and during playback (when I listen to and examine the waveform, the artifacts are part of the recording. Ugh).I have a few buses set up and am running a modest amount of effects on each bus (AA's stock tube compression, studio reverb and built-in channel eq). I've toggled the effects on and off, but that seems to have little bearing on the outcome. Ending up with some useless, noise-ridden recordings. Crazy making. Sur première, le son est bien synchrone.Après l'envoie sur Audition, je constate que seul, les sons à 135 % sont désynchronisés.Une idée?

Hello! I installed izotope ozone 8 and everything went well, but the time / pitch stretch effect disappeared. How can I get it back? I know that when you install the ozone, change settings in the plugin managerthanks!

Am I correct - Clip gain & Volume envelope (line on clip that can be keyframed) are pre effects rack (clip & track), it seems, and the Track volume fader (which is the only one of the three that can be automated *I think*?) is post effects rack (clip & track)? Any other gotchas to using one over the other (I'm pretty clear that I mostly want to leave Track volume faders at unity for the most part, other than for submix busses)Any links to useful descriptions of the three (I know, I should RTFM and will when I get a chance) gratefully received.Thanks

I have rediscovered my Adobe Audition 1.5, which I regularly use to edit live recordings from mp3 formats as captured by my TASCAM hand held device. That's fineHowever I have also rediscovered my Korg Legacy synth collection (M1 / Wavestation / PolySix)  and am keen to restart home composition using these and AuditionHowever, I seem to be unable to record audio directly into Audition 1.5  and cannot see how to configure. I am running Win 10 at present so the legacy Win mixer program / applet is no longer there....Could anyone kindly point me in the right direction to enable me to record direct from my synths. At present it keeps defaulting to mic....Apologies for this fundamental type of question....

I recently downloaded the update to Audition 11 and am experiencing issues zooming with my mouse wheel.Most of the time it works but sometimes it just doesn't zoom. I edit podcasts so it's important for me to quickly zoom in and out of problem areas but this is frustrating.What do I do to fix this?
