Audition

I'm guessing there is an easy answer to this that I'm not getting. I've done a lot of editing on a file (only in multi track mode, non-destructive) that I would now like to do away with and begin anew. I can't figure out how to make that happen. How do I open only the original file without the edits?

Hi,I've been searching for a while now but I'm wondering if I can record another DAW, in this case Logic Pro X, with Audition.Greetings, John.

I'm doing simple stereo to mono conversions. same sample rate and bit depth (48kHz 24bit) and mixing 100% left and 0% right. I've got 750,000 files to do but I did a test to see what Audition could do so I loaded in 5,000 and ran the batch. It ran smoothly BUT it actually just gave me an output of 5,000 empty files.There is a technical term called 'deep joy' that comes from using vaporware.Have I just been conned by Adobe to buy buggy nonsense?I know the Audition team keep trying to make things better by adding bloat and removing and changing really useful features they don't really understand but that's the corporate stupidity and reality inherent in tools designed by people trying to serve the mass market and bigger profits rather than the real experts who need good tools.Oh, they sure do listen to customers and ask for features and ideas  but there is no real filter on the quality of what they are guided by (it' obvious by the outcome). Then they act upon statistical feedback.

Is there any way to turn off this annoying pop up that happens every time I insert silence with quick key into a recording? It pops up every time I do it telling me where I'm inserting the silence? I KNOW where I'm inserting it because that's what i just did. Any help would be appreciated.

I can't seem to hear my guitar through my headphones. At the risk of sounding like an idiot , How do I turn the volume up so I can hear my instrument in real time

Hii All,I have a audio file that taken from video, the audio is 2 guys that talking using a mic each one,In the audio file there is a huge echo and a littlebit delay.Im not familiar with audition cc, does anybody know if there any plugin or effect that can solved the echo problem?

I've used audition for many years and feel like I have a pretty good working understanding of the program, but have just stumbled into a bit of a puzzler. I have two issues in playback. The first involves the degradation of individual tracks. Basically, I am importing midi files into Reason, exporting those as wav files and inserting them into my multitrack view in Audition CC. For some reason (after many years of doing this), if I return to the multitrack session hours or days later, the waveform sounds terrible and distorted in both multitrack and individual track playback. If I delete the file from the mutitrack session and re-insert it, it comes out just fine, but eventually it will end up distorted. This only happens to tracks exported as wavs from Reason and not to tracks that are recorded live. It happens regardless of whether i shut the program down and restart it or leave it open. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this? Any solutions?Second issue is specific to playback i

Aloha all!I'm trying to do some basic multitrack recording. Lay down one channel, go back, add accompaniment to that channel, go back, add another track for vocals, etc. etc. Really vanilla stuff. But with each pass, I get a delay. It seems to average about .040 seconds.I checked the Preferences; the evil Enable Smart Monitoring option is off.This happens even with no external equipment to contend with. Sitting at my desk, using the mic from my iMac, I tap out a constant beat (more or less) on my desk. I then play that back while recording to a second channel, and tap along with the first channel. When I play back the pair, there's a definite delay between tracks 1 & 2. If I continue the experiment by playing track 2 while recording track 3, then playing track 3 while recording track 4, I can see the waveform peaks shifting more and more to the right.Surely this isn't how it's supposed to work. What am I doing wrong?Mahalo!Tom G

Some of my projects will not allow me to record on any of the tracks when I re-open the project. The R is greyed out and won't allow me to record onto the track. Any of the tracks. Ideas? Thanks

Hi everyone!I have a question about "search for a clip in timeline" by clip name. I need to relink the clip, but I renamed some files. Now the app asks me to link, but the timeline is huge, with many tracks. There's no ctrl+F function?? Not a simple "Find.."? What about click the name at Files panel and go to the timeline's location?A panel to a search for a clip's all inserts by name? Nothing? Really?And what about relink more than 1 clip to the same file? Not possible too?

I purchased Adobe Audition CC 2018 last week.  Does anyone know if I can install Waves Debreath Version 9.x without causing issues?

Hey guys. With the download of Audition CC 2018, there doesn't seem to be preferences setting anymore where you can scroll playback from the center-point, once it reaches the center-point, without it snapping the playhead area to the center each time. I like the old settings I had where it would only autoscroll from center once the playhead reached the centerline and not snap the whole timeline to the center. It's incredibly annoying! I have tried all combinations of settings in the preferences menu under Playback and can't seem to get it back to the way it used to be where I could play an area before the center point with the playhead and not have it jarringly snap that area to the center. I still want it to auto-scroll from the center point on playback just not snap everything to the centerpoint from the playhead. Does that make sense? Thanks for any tips!Paul

Hello,I have a trouble with recording on Adobe Audition cc 2018.I generate a rhythm track and when I want to record guitar, sometimes the rhythm lags and it records a silent "pop" into the guitar track.I´m using AKAI eie pro and laptop HP Pavilion with  Intel i7-7700HQ 2,80GHz, RAM 8GB.The RAM looks to be used from about 30%, I have a plenty of space on SSD disk.If there is someone, who can help, thanks a lot.

Here's a smalls segment of an audio signal showing samples and the usual continuous green trace. As you can see, the green trace oscillates in order to 'fit' the samples. Can anyone tell me exactly, in detail, what the green trace represents? Is there a resource on this somewhere? Thanks.

A common task I deal with in production is exporting individual sound files from one long voice over. So I have one long voice over wav file and I go through section by section, along with a script, marking each one in Audition that then gets exported out as a smaller wav. Is there any way to automatically detect these sections say, using some sort of closed captioning software or something? Thanks!

Is there any particular reason that volume envelopes on one track disappear if you ripple delete in another track? Is this a bug or just bad design? Say I have the music track for a podcast mixed and balanced. If I ripple delete anything in the vocal track, the volume nodes on the music track are deleted. Can someone explain to me the specific circumstances in which this would NOT be an obstacle? Track order doesn't matter.

Hi. I'm not sure how to remove the white noise outside sounds from my audio. I selected the area in between the actors voice in Audition (which is just solid snow from red to purple) and either nothing happens because the removal level is too low OR I remove too much and the actor sound like they are in a concert hall instead of on an outdoor tennis court! Help!  I don't know what has happened, but each mic is now recording on both the host and interview channels in multitrack.  This wasn't the case before and I don't know what's changed.  Even when I mute mic 1 and tap it, it still records on both track 1 and 2.  I have a Steinburg UR44 and 2 Rode NT1-A mics.  I'm attempting to do a podcast, but this isn't going to work for me and I don't know if it's the software or the hardware.  Please assist.  Thank you.

Hello... I just received a feature film Audition session that I need to turn into a 5.1 Surround mix. I have tried a few things .. but to no avail so far.  You can't delete the Master fader (currently stereo) and add a master fader 5.1.  So is there a way to open my "sequence in a 5.1 Master session", or do I just have to copy all my files over to a 5.1 session (then I worry about panning, volume, spotting, automation etc.. coming over... ??  Any help would be appreciated.BestBrad

I recently purchased a Behringer U-phoria404hd 4 channel USB interface and I tested it our using Reaper and Tracktion 4 software and all 4 channel are enabled and everthing works fine. However, having used Adobe Audtion 1.5 for more years than I can recall ( which only allows me to use 2 channels), I would love to upgrade to Audition CC as the user interface looks much the same and I'd be happy using  Adobe.I've downloaded the Adobe CC software, but when I try and setup the sound card it only shows 2 channel (not 4) and when I click on the UMC setting panel it shows ASIO not active. I've tried ASIO4all  without success and  I'm running out of ideas as it all works on other 2 third party DAWs.Any help would be appreciated.RegardsGeoff

HiI have applied a time stretch to a clip. Clip is 58 or so minutes (sound track from a video production). I am applying a time stretch to match a reduction in fps from 25 to 23.976.  I have selected the appropriate time change format (23.976), I have specified a specific duration to the nearest frame which has taken the total length just over the hour mark.  Mode is Rendered high quality and type is varispeed.  Once activated (hitting return) the applying stretch window appears over the track and begins to count down. Once complete, the apply process begins again immediately.  The clip has now been processed twice and is on its third apply????  Would appreciate any thoughts on this. . . Thanks In advance!

99% of the time when I click the red circle then the software begins to record, but every now and then it doesn’t and it just sits there for 15 or 20 minutes doing nothing. I close it, restart and wait for several minutes before will work. Is this normal behavior? I’m not changing any devices or settings before it randomly stops working. Also, I don’t have any other software open and I have the same browser open when this happens, but it is the same browser that is open when it works.
