Audition

I was playing around with the Noise Reduction and I applied it to an audio file, then I realized it sounded too metallic, so I attempted to start again but I can't take away the noise reduction no matter what I do! Now the noise reduction is not only on the timeline file but on the original audio file as well and I cannot take it out and start over again! HELP! Can anyone help me on this?

Hello I would like to know if anyone knows if I can transfer the adobe audition onto a flash drive? I have a virus on my laptop and I want to do a hard reset to remove it but I don't want to erase the program. Is there a way that I can export it without risking erasing the file because I have a lot of music stored onto it and I would hate to lose any of that information.

We accidentally had our background music embed overtop of the speech we were video recording at an event.  Is there any way to take it out and leave the speech with Adobe Audition?ThanksShawn

I purchased a new Shure K32SL microphone and I can't get it to record with Audition. It's there but will not record - and the pre-amp is fine.  It is not the microphone as it will record in both Audacity and Garage Band. No problem recording in Audition with my Apogee. Pretty frustrated. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Theresa

Hey,So this has been happening ever since the update that came out in late 2016/early 2017. Nearly every single time I hit "Apply" under the Effect Rack panel, Audition starts loading, and then when it reaches 100% it crashes to desktop. Then when I restart it and load up my project I'll hit "Apply" again and it'll apply my effect chain without any problem.The same happens when I try to batch process +10 files - and it doesn't matter what the batch process does. I've tried batch processes that contain third party plugins and I've tried batch processes that don't contain any third party plugins and it still happens?Is anyone else experiencing this? I've tried it on 4 different computers now and it happens on all four 

Using the latest Adobe Premiere update, sending a sequence to "edit in adobe Audition" sets the project Bit Depth to 16-bit.  I see that the clips are 32-bit, but the "info" panel shows it overall at 16-bit.The previous Premiere version from earlier this year always sent every project to Premiere as a 32-bit project.Not sure why this has changed, but I have re-installed the older version of Premiere in order to get the project bit rate back up to 32-bit.Is this a bug?

Is there a way to map bext metadata fields to ID3 fields when doing a batch convert from bwave to mp3? I have over 3,000 unique, individual bwf files I need converted to mp3, but I want the metadata to transfer. I cannot find any info on this at all.

So I created a little testimonial video that has the speaker with some background music in there. I edited the speaker's audio in Au already and it's good, ready to go. However, there are some spots in the Pr timeline where the audio clips ever so slightly due to the music added behind the speakers voice. The video has been chopped up and is ready to be exported, but I want to get rid of some of those clips. The best way I know how to get rid of small clips is put the audio file in Au and hard limit it. I know I can right click on a clip's audio and "edit clip in Audition" but that only edits that one clip. Do I have to export the entire timeline's audio and then edit that file in audition? or is there a way to group ALL audio files in my Pr timeline and edit them in Au as one audio file?Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm trying to avoid exporting the timeline as an audio file, because it would compress the native audio a little every time I export it even if I export in a high Hz and bi

In the newest Audition update the frequency analyzer doesn't work anymore.Does someone else have the same problem?

I installed the trial version. Compiled an example  "CV2_Controller" from Audition 3 SDK​. But the plugin is not work? Standard plug-ins "..\Adobe Audition CS6\Plug-Ins\VST3\" are also not displayed. I updated to Audition 2017.0.2 on my Mac, but I'm not seeing the new visual keyboard shortcuts, still the old word-based ones. Anyone else having this problem?

Hello!! So I've been experiencing this problem since I first started using Audition, but I guess I never paid too much attention to it...Happens that the volume of my Audition is waaayyy too low, like I put my speakers to 100% and I still can barely hear the audio, when other programs (ex.: Windows Media Player) have just the right amount of volume -actually 100% is a lot of volume for those apps. I also plug the PC to my Home Theater and still the same situation. It even happens when I plug in my USB microphone that allows me to listen to everything directly using a headphones jack built-in.I checked the "Volume Mixer" in Windows and the program has full volume, so I know the problem is not there. And I also know that my tracks have the right volume gain because when I export them to a MP3 file (per example) and I play them on any player, it sounds well, without that lack of volume.Any suggestions on what could possibly be happening? I hope I can fix this soon so I can enjoy my tracks

We are getting these 2 errors (see screenshots). Need HELP! We are trying to 'Capture Noise Print'. We cleared Cache. We have the cache going to an external Harddrive so not sure if memory is an issue. See Screenshot of our mac version as well. Thanks!

Hi AllI'm trying to get to grips with the parametric equalizer in Audition 3.0.Obviously there is no standard setting for all voices, but can someone kindly post a screenshot / settings that I can start with? Ideally I want to have a high and low pass, boost the bass slightly and the upper frequencies to make the voice sound warm. I'm also trying to reduce the sibilance / sharp SSSS's.Can anyone assist? Thank you in advance.

I want to be able to save my multi track with any stretched clip changed to Rendered instead of for playback. Is there a way?

I HAVE SEE NO RESPONSE YET FROM ADOBE WHEN THEY WILL FIX THIS.....IF YOU ARE ABLE TO RESTORE YOUR SOFTWARE ON PREVIOUS BACKUP IT IS TOTALLY RECOMMENDED UNTIL ADOBE COMES OUT WITH ANOTHER USE ABLE UPDATESPLEASE NOTE SIMILAR NOTES ARE BEING LEFT ON OTHER SUPPORT BOARDS LIKE CREATIVE COWMY BEST TO EVERYONEDAVID

Adobe Audition updated last night and now every time I load it, windows crashes and restarts. I'm on Windows 10 Home, 64 bit, 8GB RAM. Has anyone else been experiencing any issues?I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. The same thing is happening.

I'm wondering if there's some kind of feature in Audition or a 3rd party vst that'll make vocals automatically get louder to match an instrumental, so during loud parts the instrumental doesn't drown out the vocals?[Title & text edited for clarity. —Mod.]

Hello,I'd like to do some automated editing in the multitrack view based on the content of the tracks. For example, Audition is missing basic features like "strip silence" in the multitrack view.Is that possible? And if so, can someone point me to sample code?— Charles

does anyone have any idea why its taking my audition so long to scan for plugins? ive tried closing all other programs ect to free up cpu and it still takes forever.  i remember in the past sometimes it would scan super fast.but now it always freezes first by making the program not respond and after like a minute or two itll then start to scan...

I have now tried to make my first file in PODCAST. It worked fine, but I wonder you can not get the file smaller in one way or another as it would be too big to send by e-mail. I found out as exported mixdown as a wave file full of 5490 kb - and as mp3 filled 765 kb and as a wma file it filled it 535 kb. The audio file is 28.3 sec. Are there other options if I make a long podcast to sendt with email get it down in size? Thanks in advance!
