Bridge

Every time I open Bridge CC 2018, it asks "Do you want to locate and import preferences from previous version of Bridge." Every time, I tick the box that says "Don't show again" & I hit the No button. Then every time I open the program again, it does the same thing. How do I make this stop??

Since updating to Bridge CC 2019 from Bridge CC 2018, I have discovered that some metadata fields - specifically the DateTimeOriginal and GPS data fields - are showing as blank in CC 2019, despite still being visible in 2018.There is a possibility that somewhere in my recent uses of third party apps, like picasa, I have inadvertently wiped this information, but the presence of the info in CC 2018 suggests that either CC 2018 has a cache of metadata that is not being written to the files or xmp sidecars, OR that the information is there, and CC 2019 just fails to read it.Can anyone confirm whether there is such a cache, and whether I can use some option to write that cache to my files?Or, alternatively, if there is an option in CC 2019 to force it to re-read from XMP sidecars?

i just updated bridge and camera raw cc ---  now i can't locate image processor that was under tools in bridge ?  help !

Normal-With Exposure mode showingSo normally in the bridge on the metadata tab I can see (under Camera Data), what exposure mode a student shot in (Auto, Program etc.) but for one student it is missing. See below. Why could that be? The students are required to shoot in manual, or one of the priority modes. So I don't want to accuse him of changing the metadata...plus I don't' think he'd know how. But how can this be missing? Can anyone help??missing the first 3 items.

Hello Community,since I updated to the new 2019 versions I have following the problems:When I want to copy and paste the development settings in Bridge via ctrl+alt+c   and  ctrl+alt+vit just does not do anything. I then reinstalled Ps and Br, now I get the message that the source anddestination files are the same. Which is just not true.Also I found it doing some weird things then, not pasting all settings, especially white balance was notpasted...It works via right click copy and right click paste etc. but this is just a pain...Also, when I run the image processor I can't let it run in the background, I have to watch it run.In the past I was able to click it away and do something else in the meantime.Now it just stops working and there is an error message that lists all the file names that could not be processed.Any of you experiencing something similar?Thanks alot

In Bridge CC 2019 gib es die farbigen Labels zur Kennzeichnung der Vorschaubilder nicht mehr als Balken unter den Bildern, sondern nur als kleine Punkte, kaum sichtbar. ich würde gerne wieder zur alten Vorschau von Bridge CC 2018 zurückkehren, wo man auf den ersten Blick die Kennzeichnung erkennt.Außerdem stören mich bei Bridge CC 2019 die grauen Rahmen wie bei Dias um jedes Vorschaubild herum. Wie werde ich die los? danke!

What happened! This is now a useless program. Even after changing all my settings to their usual state (monitor size previews, cache in the correct place, what have you) even a modest, for me and my work, folder (2000 raw files, 150gb) took nearly 4 hours to "generate and export cache" (last version that would have been about 1/2 hour) and on reopening the same folder, took an additional 15 minutes to become useful. Furthermore, there is no bottom line indication of WTF is going on, nor the number of files involved in a given procedure? Bridge and ACR are the fundamental tools of my business, this is not acceptable.For the record:Windows 10Xeon E3-150532GB Ram1 TB NVMe SSD

Often when I'm using Bridge I suddenly can't click on anything. No matter what I click on nothing happens, like it's frozen or the application has lost focus. But if I switch to another program and switch back, Bridge works normally again. I can't see any pattern that might be causing it to stop working, and it's happened with the last few versions of InDesign.

Updated to Bridge v9.0.0.204 X64. In Bridge Filmstrip the Content section is now a horizontal strip on the bottom of the monitor screen. Before this update I had the Content section running down the right hand side of the monitor screen in a vertical position. This allowed the Preview or selected image to appear very large in the middle of the monitor screen. Adobe phone support person claims this arrangement option has been removed by whomever came up with this new version. In Bridge v9.0, in the Filmstrip selection, how do I change the position of the Content from horizontal and bottom of screen to vertical and right side of screen?

v2019. Still no update on hiding those annoying stars below the thumbnails? I don't nor have ever used the star rating system (assuming that's what they are for) and they are annoying to see under every thumbnail.

I currently have Photoshop and Bridge CS6 on my computer. I need to update Bridge. I see the CC Bridge is now free but my question is will the CC version of Bridge work with my CS6 Photoshop? Thank you.

Following the latest upgrade, I have been getting colour bars appearing on several files in preview. Never had anything like this before, does anyone know how to fix it?

I  have just downloaded the latest Bridge 2018, but when I start it up and pull up a photo, the system says Bridge 2017 is no longer working.  I have used Adobe to delete the old 2017 version and download the latest 2018, but it still goes back to the 2017 version and then says  it's no longer working.  Ideas?  Adobe is not much help!!!!

Hi EveryoneI would be so grateful for any help.I purchased CS5 some time ago and have never had any problems importing photos from an I phone 6s into bridge. Now the bridge photo downloader will not recognise the I phone. The I phone recognises the computer, it asks whether is a trusted device etc.. I am running CS5 version 4.05.11 and have downloaded creative cloud 64 and tried that bridge, still no joy. I am importing into a PC by the way. I have never had a problem in the past. The version of creative cloud used is 8.01.282. Both are the latest updates.Any help would be most appreciated.RegardsRichard

I just updated to the 2019 version. I checked to have it import preferences from the older version which it did, however, it changed the order of my workspaces for some reason. In trying to put them back in the correct order I realized that there is now a limit of 6 workspace buttons viewable at a time. Not only does this mean that I can't access my remaining workspace buttons to put them in the correct order but I have a lot of wasted space. I'd really like to regain the flexibility of being able to slide them over to show how many buttons I want to show. I tried looking this up on the Adobe site but it still references the older version. I use keyboard shortcuts a lot, so having my workspace buttons in specific place matters. Anytime I take a large group of files or a folder and paste to a different location, I am no longer able to navigate through bridge until the transfer is complete.Also have the bug where I can no longer "cut" and paste, only copy and paste.

I have an excel with filename in column A and keywords in column B. I wish to update the keywords tab in bridge using a script. Please let me know if there is any pre written script available which I can use.

I am working with Bridge CC 8.0.0.262 on an iMac with ~90,000 photos stored on a Windows Server. Yes, I know, working from a server is a problem to begin with. However i finally figured out that by using smart collections I can get Bridge to index the files so I can search and use keywords like I need. However, whenever I close Bridge and reopen, it has to completely reindex all 90,000 files. This seems very unnecessary? Is there a way to have it use the previous index? As you can imagine, indexing 90,000 files on a server is not a quick task.In my cache settings i have the size set to the maximum, compacting cache is turned off, as is the purge cache setting.Edit: Fixed my grammar.

Ich musste meinen Mac neu aufsetzen , meine Daten hatte ich gesichert, aber nicht die Systemdateien, so dass die Stichwörter-Datenbank nicht mehr da ist. Die Stichwörter sind aber bei den einzelnen Bildern in der Exif (?) gespeichert. Kann man nun über diese Dateien eine neue Stichwörter-Datenbank erstellen?Danke für eure Hilfe.arne
