 Hello! Would love some advice / insight on ACEs within AE. I work with CG and VFX all done in ACES CG, that works fine, looks good, blah blah blah. But the second I try to bring in or create graphics on top, I start to get aliasing once I put the input color space to be sRBG (so I can get the right brand colors and pure whites). As of now I've been working around that by doing any comp / CG work in an ACES project, and then making an alt project that's rec709 or srgb to add graphics on top with prerenders. Obviously, this adds an extra step so I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong here. The weird thing is if you view the Color Space transformed graphics over an empty background, the type looks clean (see the first screenshot). Is this something anyones dealing with or Adobe is aware of?I've even tried using the alpha of the non-color space transformed graphic as a matte and that still looks chunky. This happens all the time and curious if anyone has a workaround.&nbsp

Every time I open up After Effects, it's asking me to connect to the internet so that my license can be actiavated. I am always connected to Wi-Fi and my other Adobe softwares don't have this issue. Currently I only have 4 days remaining...  Version:  25.5OS: Windows 11GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4060

Hello everyone! I’m experiencing a bug in After Effects: when I open Extension 1, then dock it, and afterwards open Extension 2, there’s a problem — when I close Extension 1, Extension 2 also closes for some reason.Sometimes the UI (user interface) of Extension 2 even disappears.Does anyone know why this happens?

I’ve experienced this issue multiple times, even when I’m not doing anything heavy — just working with 2-3 image layers. After Effects often freezes (especially when I press Alt+Tab to switch between windows), and then crashes. My monitor goes black for a few seconds and comes back on with the error message:"After Effects crash: can't continue. Encountered a GPU or graphics driver issue."This is incredibly frustrating. It doesn’t just happen occasionally — it happens frequently. And from the number of posts about this issue, it seems like it’s been going on for a long time.But so far, there’s been no real action from Adobe. The usual suggestion is to switch to “Mercury Software Only”, but honestly, that doesn’t solve anything.Please, this is exhausting to deal with — is there any real fix or update on this?

Hello there, I am new here to ask some questions. Does anyone here have experience importing files from AI with a duplicated file inside? I would appreciate this being fixed.

After Effects 25.4 keeps re-rendering the timeline AFTER I've done a Ram Preview.For example, in the image below I rendered part of my timeline then set the Work Area to only that section. When I hit the space bar to watch it, it re-renders! It won't just play it. wtf is going on? After Effects has never worked like this.This has been happening in every project for months. It's like I have to have my Work Area set before starting a render because if I stop the Ram Preview before it reaches the end of the Work Area I have to re-render the whole thing. Sometimes, if I quit and restart After Effects it'll work like normal again, simply playing the parts I've already rendered. What's going on? Is this a bug? I can't imagine this is intentional. After activating a font at Adobe Fonts Online wonderful Font Collection, there pops up a Message from Windows, that the fonts are added.But in AE they are not visible in the Font Menue. After Restarting AE, they are shown there. This is not very nice, while trying lots of fonts for finding the right one for a Project...It would be Absolutely fantastic, if this could be fixed!!! Version 25.1.0 (Build 68)Windows 11

Hello Adobe Community,I've ran into a small issue while applying stroke Animators on certain type layers.It seems that on certain typefaces, or only certain weights of certain typefaces, the stroke doesn't generate completely correctly on some letters. In the example here it's the top end of the 'K' that gets tapered in a weird way. When converted to shapes in After Effects, the clipping of the stroke disappears. I don't know what about it being a type layer makes it behave this way. When converted to shapes in Illustrator the typography seems like it shouldn't have any issue to draw a curve around it, there are no double vertexes or other weird inconsistencies with it that would.This project needs to work with editable typelayers, so converting it to a shape layer is not an option.Does anybody have any experience with this? Know of any ways to resolve this issue?Any help would be much appreciated.Thanks in advance!

Howdy. I'm running a MacBook Pro 15, M4 with 48gb Ram, running Sequoia 15.7.1. Using the latest version of AE. I've had a project file stop loading randomly and will not load past 94% and AE stops respondng. I get no indication as to an error message or if a file is not working. I sent this file to another user and file can be opened on their machine but not on the original machine. I have just rebuilt the project again yesterday only for it to happen again this morning after I finished it. When I opened the Premiere project to render the beds the screens were blank so I opened AE to check and low and behold the same issue occured again. The first time it happened I re-installed AE, disabled all plugins and in safe mode, I have cleared the cache, I have doubled it's allocated ram from 12mb to 24mb and I've tried to open it in another new project to no avail. It looks like using the RED importer with MFR ends up using all RAM available. This is AE 2025.5 on Windows with 32GB RAM although it seems to happen on systems with more memory and longer clips as well. Create a comp containing RED footage (8K is a good test)Turn on MFRNote setting for RAM reserved for other applicationsAdd comp to render queue and render in AESystem RAM will reach 100% and system will slow down due to swapping. This is not occur with MFR off. Increasing RAM reserved for other applications doesn't help. Switching to Software Only doesn't change anything. This does not seem to occur with other importers, e.g MP4 files. Increasing RAM servered for other 

I have been having issues with my graphics. Problems that have manifested include the composition panel appearing black in both After Effects and Premiere Pro, pattern preview not showing in Photoshop, and Photoshop crashing when I use the liquify filter on RGB mode (on CMYK, it says "Liquify is capable of utilizing the graphics processor on RGB files to increase preformance. The color mode you have chosen will not utilize the graphics processor" and works just fine). Right now, I am most concerned about fixing the black composition screen in After Effects, but fixing this will likely resolve the other issues. These things have never worked before, so it is not a case that they have suddenly stopped working. I would like to learn After Effects, but not being able to see the video is obviously a roadblock (I did make sure content was on the timeline). Something that has started bugging me a lot is that I noticed that moving audio files removes your cached preview data. It seems like they are consolidated into single cache files? This makes it really painful to edit audio timing because every time you move it you need to rerender the composition.   Please make audio independent of video preview data so we do not have this issue.

Hi there, I can't click on Hue Saturation's Channel Range diagramm. I can adjust it only after I added the effect on the layer. But when I back to it to make some twicks the Channel Range became unclicable. I can't change anything anymore. The only way is to delet the effect and add the new one and make adjustments from scratch. Any way to fix that without downgrade or beta? when I replace the file, it is deleted, it can only be replaced as an png image.

Hey, something weird that is worth saying happened today at work.Working on a project with a team, and one 3D layer wasn't centered properly when I opened the main project on my AE. (25.1).I upgraded to the latest AE 25.5, and I could see the layer at the correct spot as it was supposed to be. Any info on what is causing that ? (4K comp with a camera in Classic 3D, layer in question was a 3D text layer). Thanks!

After updating to 22.2.1 build 3 I've got strange problem with "All Caps" feature in Character control.Some letters are "caps" and some are not, some letters can be made bold after that and some not. No issues like that were present in previous version.See attached file. If font is anything else that "Regular" "All caps" is tottaly crazy.

Dear Adobe After Effects Team,I am writing to report a persistent and long-standing bug in After Effects (on Windows) concerning the Render Queue's Output Module presets.The Problem: When I create and save an Output Module preset for an OpenEXR sequence with the Channels set to "RGB + Alpha", the checkbox for "Use Comp Frame Number" does not save correctly.Although I check this box and save the preset, after I close and restart After Effects, the preset reverts to having this option unchecked.Key Detail: This bug appears to be specifically tied to the "RGB + Alpha" setting. After Effects ignores any changes a plugin makes to a parameter’s value during certain commands, if the parameter in question happens to be hidden in the UI by virtue of having its AEGP_DynStreamFlag_HIDDEN flag set. This bug poses a rather big problem for many of our products, since users are never guaranteed that applying one of the built-in presets will succeed. hey, i just got the 7 day test for AE, but its always crashing when im trying to open the app. im on windows 10, rtx1060. other specs i dont rlly know but they should be good enough to run AE.  On windows safe mode, it said: after effects error. crash during processing, last logged message: <19192> <DS> <0> GPUSniffer() encountered total GPU failure.also before it said some plugin was the problem but i believe i fixed it by deleting it. In february this year i tried (or wanted to) try premiere pro, back then i remember it having similar problems and crashing when trying to open. I really need help quick, thanks.
