Bonjour à toutes et tous.Il m'est impossible de commencer un projet , j'ai à chaque fois ce message.Si vous avez une idée… je suis preneur ! Merci d'avance. I used the stock Ninja Character as a basis for rigging for full body tracking.I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I can't get my character to walk to the right. The hips get stuck in the center and the arms and legs just stretch all the way to the right as I walk to the right edge of the shot. The Ninja Rigging follows me just fine when I walk to the right.See attached screeshots. Also attached is a drive link to the zipped up project.I couldn't upload a zip here.https://drive.google.com/file/d/13yXyDfPqnD13gSsKBA4rpJnKUrc9w29s/view?usp=sharingPlease let me know what I'm missing!
I keep getting an error when attempting to load my .ai file into Charactor Animator. "Error opening Illustrator file. (1346848371)". I was able to load in 4 other puppets without issue. I've attempted removing multiple layers, resaving the file under different names, and even loading the puppet into a working file that was already loaded into Charactor Animator. All ended in error. Hopefully someone knows something.
Title pretty much says it, but here are a few more details... I'm using Adobe Character Animator (Beta), and I need to render out an animation with alpha, but when I choose Export > Video With Alpha Via Media Encoder. I keep getting this message...AME (Beta) is definitely installed, and I use it routinely with the After Effecs (Beta), so it should work. I even tried launching AME (Beta) before selecting the Export command, but ACA (Beta) still doesn't see it. Is anyone else seeing this message? Is there anything I can do to force it to see AME (Beta)? I normally use the release version of ACA because of previous beta issues, so maybe I need to switch back. I hope the file is backwards compatible. Thanks in advance for any helpful suggestions! Additional Info: Using ACA (Beta) 25.6 Build 92, and AME (Beta) 26.1 Build 14, Windows 11. Possibly related: When I open the latest After Effects (Beta) 26.11 Build 3, it informs me that there is a new release, even though there isn't. Not a sh
I am running into this when I upload puppets into CH.Could someone help me understand how to adjust this so it looks normal?Thank you!Roger
I have included a walk to see if it's set up correctly. It's based on left/right keys. The legs and feet are warped. I like the way I rigged this, as you can move the entire body across the screen, and the hips and neck sway separately. To get the hips to move, you have to select the area upper between the legs like the pelvic area. Thanks
I'm trying to figure out the correct combination of settings to make it so that my character's torso moves with the rest of her skeleton (like in the blue version). Even in that version, the only way I could make it move up and down in stride was by turning off the visibility of the Face Behavior. I can't figure out what the correlation there was. In my new character that I've rebuilt with stripes, you can see how her torso seems locked in place. Feel like I've tried every combo of making her body independent, or her torso layer, or both. Any ideas? I've included the layers for the current striped version. Thanks!
greetings all! im in the middle of writing a movie and i want to do everything in adobe (since im paying for this expensive subscription). there are going to be a lot of characters. i want the characters to look real and not cartoonish. if anyone is doing this or have done this, please let me know which programs you are using. i have adobe premiere pro. learning blender was too time consuming. i want to stay in adobe's ecosystem preferably. i plan on taking real life people and modifying the image so that it resembles the person but doesnt look like them totally. this is going to be a 2 hour movie at least with spin offs of the original. my settings on my computer.... windows 11, 64ram, rtx 5090 video card with 32ram, i9 ultra processor, and more than enough storage space. i might uprgrade my memory to 128 but that might not be necessary at this point. i have no problem with using AI to do most of the work. in a nutshell, i wo
Hi there, newbie here! So I have been going through the tutorials and am trying to rig a character to use body tracking. The most helpful tutorial thus far has been the Limb IK tut. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e85HGSAS80g Unfortunately there has been some conflicting info on where to identfy the shoulder tags. One into tut said to attach to the body when rigging for more realistic head tilt and the one linked above says to tag shoulders on the puppet's arm layers. Going through the Body Tracker tut https://pages.adobe.com/character/en/body-tracker it is now also saying to tag the shoulders on the body. Is there a definitive answer for this or this a case of, "it depends on whether or not you want to make use of body tracking"!! I'm concerned about experimenting and making changes as the history seems to sometimes break the puppet and I have had to start over from scratch. I'm so close to being able to put this project behi
While I imagine this has been discussed before, I've searched the whole forum and wasn't able to find a thread on this specific aspect of walking. (Please point me to one if I missed it!) I'm trying to get my character to make a natural walking stop; not just a) jumping from a mid-walk-cycle position to a rest position, or b) doing the ice-skating thing where the movement ends gradually but there's a their legs are sliding on floor while character stays in place (this seems to happen when I try an "ease in" keyframe for the end of the motion.) I'm using position-based walking, and I'm hoping to stay in that mode. (If recording with left/right arrow keys would get a better result, I could probably make that work, but haven't found an answer with that mode either). So in essence my question is: how can I get a natural looking walk stop using Position-Based mode? Thank you!
I was trying to select a new character from the list and when going to all characters only the first 5 are showing up in a linear fasion. I was assuming based on videos I've seen on youtube of others using this software that there would be a grid style selection which i could scroll through but I was not able to see all of the characters. I can also assume that there are more in each category as well that are just not showing up.
Hi everyone, We're excited to announce a new Adobe Community experience is coming this January. A little bit about the update:The new experience will be simpler to navigate, make it easier to connect with other creatives and Adobe experts, and will give you clearer ways to share feature ideas, enhancement requests, and bug reports—with greater visibility into their status with our product teams. In the meantime: Adobe Community will remain active. Keep using it as usual—there will be no interruption in access. In fact, you’ll notice even more Adobe Experts on deck to provide faster responses before, during, and after the update. No existing content will be lost in the update. Every single post, reply, solution, feature request, and bug report you’ve made will be transferred to the new experience. You won't need to recreate anything. Existing content will reappear in two phases. When we launch the new community, all posts created on or before November 16 will be there from day one. Aft
I try to open a project that is living in a Dropbox folder and I recieve constant error during open. Quickest resolve is to pause Dropbox sync but curious if there's a better way to manage rights management so we don't have to do this.
Greetings. I apologize if this has been answered (I cannot find it). My changes in Photoshop are not transferring to Character Animator. I've tried many things: checked file paths, unchecked Save in Background in Photoshop, updated both programs, moved the character around to try to force update, checked Auto-sync with Artwork in Character Animator....I'm frustrated. Please help.Thank you very much.
See this little greyed out area. Now I can't do ANYTHING. Help!

Hi all,Just getting started and psyched!I'm building the character below in Illustrator and planning out the mouth shape layers. As the subject says, what do you think would be the best way to have a character's goatee move with the mouth? Should I incorporate it into each mouth shape or just stretch with the jaw in HeadBKG? While I'm here, I may as well ask how I can have the head move independently on the neck. The Chloe puppet seems to have a rigid head and torso. What does that stick behind her do, btw? Thanks!
Hi! I'm having a real-time face tracking issue with my camera (Logitech). It's only recognizing the three main mouth shapes (visemes), and none of the others. I know the mouth shapes are correctly tagged because I copied them directly from the Chad puppet in Character Animator. What can I do?
This is driving me bonkers! I'm glad that I'm learning so much, but it's costing me so much time, energy and frustration. This is the fourth time I've created this puppet. I've stopped doing it from scratch and now just edit comprable templates, since I know the templates work perfectly. (This iteration was an adaptation of the woman pirate standing on a ship.) So I moved in my assets overtop of the template assets, deleted what wasn't needed, adjusted rigging handles as needed, and voila! It works! It was great. I went into my scene, dragged those arms around to record a bunch of triggers and swap sets. Everything is groovy. Then, silly me, I need to adjust the canvas size so I can adjust something in the +Head group. I come back, and the arms are totally broken. They've shifted on the puppet in record mode (but not in rig mode) and they're hinging wrong now. I guess I rigged something wrong. I get i
Had to do a crash course in CA to get a live character to show up in Teams. Got everything wired up and, using NDI, can feed my scene to Teams and control the puppet. Bosses loved it. All good. Now, though, I need a remote person to drive the puppet.I've done a fair bit of reading and experimenting but haven't gotten it to work. My reading makes it seem possible. I need "Bob" to call in on Teams, then feed his video and audio to Character Animator to control the puppet, then feed that back to Teams to talk to other people on the call as the puppet. Do I have to have him call in on Zoom vs. trying to round-trip? Although then he wouldn't be able to hear them, I'd guess. I had my IT department download NDI and OBS (which was a minor miracle) so I'm hoping that's all that's needed.Anyone have any advice on making this work? I know next-to-nothing about NDI, even less about OBS, so it's possible I'm just overlooking something obvious.
Hi there,I'm noticing that some of the links on the tutorials page at the bottom are erroring out. I'd like to check out advanced rigging! https://pages.adobe.com/character/en/tutorials
I'm a third grade teacher looking to have students use puppets to practice their fluency and make a puppet show...anyone help me with this?
A screenshot is here.
So a bit new to this program.I'm wondering, is there a way to make an animation I made in Character animator into a loop able gif within Character Animator, or would I need to take the clip to a different program to do this?I have a friend with a streaming channel who'd like me to make a looping gif of their mascot on screen during their streams and I'm wondering if I can use Character Animator to do this.Thanks@
