I get this message when closing Photoshop "Can't write new document presets file"  No luck in finding a solution . CC2022 version 23.1

Recently my adobe lisence expired and about a week later I got my lisence back.Since then, my entire library has completely disappeared. According to Adobe’s policy, my photos should be retained for 1 year after expiration, so they should still be present on the servers. Is there any way to see if my photos didn't transfer over correctly or something happened to my account for this problem to occur? 

I have had a problem with generative credits from the start, but it just keeps getting worse.Everything from censorship in general keeping us from creating things like graphics for signs stating that guns are not allowed in a building (not to mention the censorship of art in general, which is a slap in the face to their core demographic), to their censorship algorithms thinking things like edits of someones face is nudity because it thinks that you are editing someones behind, not their face, to the insane cost of extra credits that far exceeds the monthly cost of Adobe products for a meager number of credits, have been a problem from the start. The Remove tool, which was present in PS Beta 25.1, is not present in the new issue of PS 25.0.  As far as I know, it should be below the spot healing bruch icon.

The Color Balance filter does not work in Photoshop. I slide the bars but the colors do not change.  I have tried every suggested solution I could find on line with no success. Any help is appreciated, thank you.   [Moved from the CC Desktop forum by moderator]

I desperately need help figuring out how to fix this issue for work... I'll provide any screenshots necessary.But a little while ago, I somehow uploaded each layer onto my creative cloud library for a design template I have been using and then deleted them.When revisiting the edit file I now cannot edit each smart object tied layer as it keeps insiting I relink it from the creative cloud.What can I do? Is there a work around? I have 3-5 different designs like this before I came to realize it...  

Big bug on the new PS 26.11 and (hoped it was fixed, but no) on 26.11.1 as well.on macOS 12.6.1  You press "Cmd+S" or just "Save" and this shows up:The buttons stay greyed-out for a while and then...they totally disappear leaving a dark, blank, window.And you cannot save your .psd anymore.I tried to quit, restart, update too. The issue keeps showing up in a random way. Sometimes I can save, sometimes I can't and can't figure out the reason.Needless to say, this makes the software completely unusable and it heavily damage my work!The only workaround I found to fix this is to Export > Layers to file (.psd). And then quitting the app, restarting it, hoping it goes away and rebuild your file (if you have a decent amount of layers on your file, otherwise it will be a nightmare).Fix it please!

I am writing to you as a long-standing and loyal subscriber who has relied on your products for many years.My current concern relates to the incompatibility of the latest Photoshop version. My desktop runs macOS Big Sur, version 11.7.10, an operating system that is no longer compatible with Photoshop version 27.0 or its newest features (such as Beta or experimental capabilities).Since I am unable to use the most current version of the software, and consequently cannot access all the innovations for which I am paying through my subscription, I feel that the value proposition has been diminished in my particular case.Therefore, I would like to propose the following: Have you considered offering a temporary price adjustment or reduction for subscribers who are limited to older Photoshop versions due to hardware or software restrictions? I updated Photoshop today to the latest v27.0. Everything went smoothly and I started working on an existing file, created yesterday, with v26.11.   I closed the file and opened it again a few hours later. Photoshop asked me to update the file, which was strange. This usually happens when I move my file to another computer and it needs to "update" the fonts. I hit Update and all the fonts were broken - replaced by other random fonts. And the names of the fonts did not correspond to the actual fonts - it was a mess.   Unfortunately, opening the same file in Photoshop v26.11 did not help, the file was corrupted beyond recovery - the same strange font behavior was happening. I ended up creating everything from scratch on a second computer, using Photoshop 26.11. I took this file back to the original computer and it works fine in the old v26.11.   So, the conclusion is that v27.0 breaks fonts and corrupts files without the possibility of recovery.   I attached the broke

It would be very helpful if we could move multiple layer comps at the same time. And additionally, by using the ALT-key, being able to duplicate them as well. As it is now, it's very tedious to do so.

Hi There, i've updated to PS 27.0 and wanted to install a script by dropping it into the Scripts folder usually located in the presets folder.But it seems that Adobe removed the folder.Does anyone have an idea where the Script folder is located now?ThanksAlan

When I reset my PC all new document files get erased. Is there anyway to save the new document files in a external folder?  

Hello, Surely the paint bucket tool is inept. Why are you not given a choice, in the option pane, of how the bucket fill operates? As you are aware a lot of the time it doesn't fill completely, hitting another colour and then not operating properly as anti-aliasing stops the bucket from filling. This is not always wanted and surely you could be given a choice over whether the antialiasing is merged with the new fill colour or not. Adobe could change and make this tool work differently for a lot of its use. Do you agree?Richard

Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Photoshop 19.1.4In my Layers Palette, I am missing the proper icon for the different adjustment layers. Please see the enclosed picture. Hello guys, after the newest update the Photoshop seems to be bugging about dragging the PDF inside open Photoshop document. After selecting crop to trim view, or anything for that matter and clicking ok, it shows this dialog. Only way around it is just to straight up open the pdf Photoshop as new document and copy it to the previous document. Anyone else having this issue? I tried multiple different PDFs, restarting Ps and Mac and all that btw + everything was working fine before the update. Photoshop 27.0.0MacBook Pro 16" M1 Max - Sequoia 15.7.1 (24G231)

Trying to uninstall Photoshop and reinstall clean. I have uninstalled through CC and checked the option to remove preferences. I have also uninstalled all plugins through CC app.After uninstall I deleted the PS 2023 Settings folder.The re-install is clearly still grabbing the filters and legacy extensions from the uninstalled version. I am looking for a re-install as if PS had nver been installed on my system. I know I could use the CC Cleaner app, but I have way to much tied up in Lightroom to delete it as well.Any advice appreciated.

Hi there,I've downloaded Creative Cloud Photoshop to my macbook Air. The Generative Fill function keeps coming up with an error message "Your system administrator isn't allowing access to this feature right now. Please contact them for more information." I have checked all the usual places with the help of ChatGPT and an Apple Tech. Nothing has worked. I've uninstalled and reinstalled as well. As a last resort I created a new profile for myself on my mac and downloaded photoshop there. This time when it was starting up I noticed a permission pop up from Adobe that had something to do with using AI. Sadly I didn't grab a screenshot. But I said yes to this permission and voila! I can now use Generative Fill in my new profile. I have checked and compared all security settings in each profile and they are both the same, which leads me to think it's a permission within Adobe not my mac. Can anyone help me fix this? Please.

I tried the demo for generative sharpen that did pop-up on first start of Potoshop 2026.It did not sharpen at all So I tried again and again and eery why I could think of to make it look as good as the demo video. But it did nog even got any sharper at all.Later I saw that there was something like "AI Credits" and that I did loose a lot of the credits trying the demo image (not using my own pictures). So I contacted support and they tried also in my PC and could not get it any better and left the support chat telling me to try later. 😞Now I have spend most of my credits on this stupid demo and spend credits to let the support try. This makes me quite angry. Not only have I lost my credits to nothing productive, but I also don't dare use the whole AI thing at Adobe anymore because it's wasting my credits and I don't believe it works.What do you think of this behavior from Adobe? I find it sickening.I'm curious how the community views this, because I see a lot of complaints

I finally figured this out so I thought I'd share. If you'd like a layer mask that follows specific measurements or a shape, follow these steps. Click on your shape and go to Select and Mask (either cmd + opt + r, or right click and select)Use the Quick Selection tool to select the entire shape. Make sure your output is a Layer mask. Click OK.Drag this new layer mask onto the layer you'd like to mask.Go to Select and Mask again, and choose invert. Click OK. Let me know if this was helpful! Export>Export As:When doing this for PNGs, all settings are for PNG (either transparent or non-transparent, at 1x and 2x), the file is RGB (multiple artboards), and it exports, but it saves the file as a JPG (with .jpg). 

I have Photoshop on my MacAir and want to use my iPad as a drawing pad. But I can't get documents to open on the iPad. When I establish a Sidecar connection and then open Photoshop from the iPad, it opens on the iPad, but it also opens on the Mac. I can select "File - New..." and "File - Open..." on the iPad, but the document opens only on the Mac. When I hover over the green button on the document window, "Move to iPad" is greyed out. I have the latest system versions: MacOS Sequoia 15.0 , iPadOS 18, and I'm using Photoshop version: 2024 (25.11.0).I tried the solution posted here previouslyQuit PhotoshopDisconnect sidecarConnect sidecar againRelaunch Photoshop.  But it didn't work. Any suggestions?

Photoshop opens CR3 raw files cropped. I have browsed the web and havent found a single simple solution. I have tried settings and used camera settings in default. The only work around is saving as tiff and then opening to get the full image.Is there a way to prevent camera raw from automatically cropping my raw images when I open them directly in photoshop?

Hello Adobe creatives!  Has anyone used ADobe Firefly or Photoshop's Generative AI features to replace a specific component in a photo?  My use case is I have a photo of award medals in a layout that were taken some time ago, but the medal design has since changed. I now have the updated design file and would like to use AI to update the medals in the existing photo using the new design as a reference. Is this possible with either Firefly or Photoshop (e.g. via Generative Fill or another AI workflow)? And if so, what's the best approach to ensure realism and consistency across the set? I've tried this already so far in Adobe Firefly Boards, and it's just spitting back out the same image I'm referencing, and have tried about 5 different models so far. Not sure if it's my prompt, or I'm using the wrong model... or maybe it isn't possible yet. Reference of my image and source image of the updated medal attached for reference.  Thanks in advanced!&nb
