After installing some updates on an older version of Photoshop (CS5.1) - It started to require activation and then gave the error that the limit for that was reached. There is no listed devices under “activated devices” on my account and I can’t seem to get passed this now, Just had the product running a few minuttes ago, wen’t to “check for updates” and i listed a few modules, hereunder a update for “RAW” format, I installed that and now I can’t start again.
Hi , can you please help me erase the whitepaint from a screen shot to reveal what is there ? thank you in advance.
I have autosave/autorecover set up. Yet when Photoshop crashes, I go to look in the folder and it's always empty. Searching seems to indicate that photoshop clears the folder when it crashes. Which seems completely pointless??? I'm guessing my app is crashing bc RAM issues, but there's nothing I can do about that... I guess I have to drill it into myself to press ctrl s before every single click

Photoshop is stuck on ‘cancelling’ in Creative Cloud so I can’t install the program or update.
The month is new. My credits should have reset. Instead I see “Unable to load section. Retry” where my points should be. In photoshop, I see, “IMS Token Invalid of Expired. Please restart Photoshop to refresh your session.” And yes, I’ve restarted many times.I can see Photoshop made what I asked it too, but I cannot view it or open it. So I know I do have enough credits, as it made the image. I have cleared my cache in Creative Cloud & Photoshop CC. Everything is updated. I have signed out & signed back in several times. Help?
Problem Description:Problem Description: While actively working in Photoshop, an empty, translucent white modal window suddenly appears over the workspace, completely blocking the application. The program interface becomes unresponsive: the top menu items become inactive (grayed out), interaction with the canvas stops, and standard keyboard shortcuts (such as Ctrl + S to save) are ignored. Any mouse clicks on the canvas or menu items are accompanied by the standard Windows system error sound. The issue may be directly related to the background JavaScript Runtime process (node.exe), running within Photoshop. Attempting to terminate node.exe using the standard Windows Task Manager method is blocked by the operating system. The only way to temporarily restore access to the interface is to force-quit the process via the command line. After force-quitting node.exe, Photoshop displays a delayed error message: "There was a problem with Generator. Please close Photoshop and try again..." Desp
Dear all, I already have a working and proven solution to my issue after 10 hour reading posts, cross-checking and ultimately finding out through trial and error. The solution I would like to share with so you’ll be spared the pain. Issue: On the same monitor, there was a colour mismatch between pictures displayed in Photoshop and other apps in Windows 11. Photoshop was the most vibrant, closest to the desired AdobeRGB, all other apps like Camera Raw, Bridge, and third party editing tools showed something more like sRGB. This was also the case for some other non-photo-editing related apps, e.g. Windows explorer showed pictures in AdobeRGB, the photo/video preview app in sRGB. Hence, the problem pointed towards the operating system. Background: Windows 11 25H2 has a bug concerning ACM when using hardware or software-calibrated monitors. It somehow overwrites colour profiles in certain apps, but not in others, “on the fly”. Applicable specifications (main factors bold others for refer
I’m experiencing this error message “Die Pipette konnte nicht verwendet werden, weil ein Programmfehler aufgetreten ist (f376f9.752).” in PS 27.10.0 (on an M2 MacBookPro) when trying to set more than one reference point in the curves adjustment panel. If I try it in the general adjustment setting I can click the message away, but when I use a curves adjustment layer Photoshop goes crazy and I have to force quit the application.
This is the problem:When I want to Transfrom/Distort a corner of a rectangle, the content of the rectangle doensn't stay in the same place. I mean, let's say as an example that I've a point right in the center, when I squeeze the lower right corner towards the upper right, the point MOVES towards the right side of the rectangle!! This makes some adjustments I need to do impossible to achieve. If I use Warp, I can't really mantain straight lines in the image because everything, well, warps… Carefully moving handles I could theoretically achieve the transformation I need but it's very hard and very prone to approximations that I can't tolerate and very slow to achieve and repeat. What I need is a way to compress a corner towards another corner without shifting the content of the rectangle towards the side of the corner I'm moving. All mantaining straight lines in the perpendicular sides and progressively compress them towards the corner where I'm moving the other one. It's hard, please f
I do not want to Prompt to Edit, I do not want an AI Assisted editor. I do not want AI doing it all for me. I want the tools available that have been available. Yet you keep hiding functions that professionals use and pushing features that are new and are casual user friendly. You’re turning the core Photoshop into Photoshop elements while charging for a professional app.Stop shuffling and hiding features like Select Subject that has been a feature on your contextural bar for a long time now, and got replaced with Prompt to Edit. (Select Subject is now a tiny icon to the right of that and had to research where it went.
Hello there friends I am creating a new design in Photoshop (A3 size, 300 dpi), I go to save it as a PDF to my desktop - I then go to open that PDF and there is an error message within Acrobat Reader telling me that: ‘The dimensions of this page are out of range the page content might be truncated’ with a strange blank Square behind it that clearly wasn't my original design I open the PDF file back in Photoshop and it is almost as if there is nothing to the file anymore it shows the image size as just 13 pixels which is of course minuscule, and there is simply nothing really there to open. I open the PDF within Chrome browser and although slightly better it only shows a random quarter of the original image so clearly there is some corruption happening between any design that I create in Photoshop and then save to PDF Please help! See attached for file details and error messages etc. ((Windows 11 on a brand new Surface Pro 12 inch, latest Adobe kit, again all upto date))
Adobe Firefly connector in Codex Desktop intermittently fails with HTTP 403I have reproduced an intermittent failure when attempting to generate an image through the Adobe Firefly connector in Codex Desktop.Test request: One image Simple prompt: “A red ceramic mug on a plain white background” 1MP PNG output Timestamp:10 August 2026, approximately 16:01:38 BST (UTC+01:00, Europe/London)Complete error:McpServerError: MCP streamable transport probe failed with HTTP 403 from adobe.ioStructured error details: Error code: FORBIDDEN HTTP code: 403 Error type: http_error Endpoint: https://photoshop-mcp-service.adobe.io/v3-creativity-b8f2a/mcp Environment: Codex Desktop 26.803.41515, build 6321 macOS 26.5.2 Apple Silicon / arm64 Adobe plugin package 7.0.0 The failure occurs during the MCP transport probe, before Firefly receives or processes the image prompt. I am experiencing an issue with the Remove Tool in Photoshop. When Generative AI is enabled, the Remove Tool is extremely slow compared with before. In some cases, Photoshop also displays a message saying that there is no internet connection.I found a reproducible workaround:Open an image. Use the Remove Tool with Generative AI enabled. The processing is very slow. Make a selection in the same document. Run Generative Fill once with the prompt left blank. After Generative Fill completes, use the Remove Tool again. The Remove Tool returns to normal speed in that document.I tested this with two different files in a row, and the same behavior occurred in both files.Additional observations:The improvement only applies to the document where Generative Fill was run. Opening another file causes the Remove Tool to become slow again. Running Generative Fill once in that file restores normal Remove Tool speed. The Remove Tool is fast when Generative AI is disabled. Changing the Photoshop version
I found a document in my boyfriend’s phone because I feel like he’s been hiding something from me. The document is encrypted in codes and I cannot access it into a way for me to understand what is included
Photoshop version 26.9.0macOS Sequoia 15.6Issue 1: Text is getting clipped (cut off) inside smart objects, even though e.g. color fill layers don'tIssue 2: "New smart object via copy" doesn't work - new SO remains linked with the original one Neither of these issues happened to me before, appeared yesterday. For Issue 1 I found older forum threads on the internet, it's apparently not a new thing.Thank you in advance for fixing, have a nice one! 🙂Anna
Issue summary: When choosing Layer > New Background from Layer after cropping part of an image on a layer without ticking the Delete Cropped Pixels checkbox, the cropped pixels end up deleted.Product and version: Photoshop desktop version 20.0.10 and 21.2.11Operating system: macOS 12.7.6Steps to reproduce:Open an existing document with some layers. Select one of these layers, crop it without ticking the Delete Cropped Pixels checkbox. Under Layer, choose New Background from Layer. Select the crop tool and drag the edge handles of the crop border. Notice that cropped pixels have been deleted (sometimes only part of them).Expected result: Cropped pixels shouldn’t be deleted according to the setting of the crop tool. If this behaviour is intended, I’d suggest a notification before applying New Background from Layer to a layer. Actual result: Cropped pixels are deleted.
I am trying to continue work on something I was working on yesterday and when attempting to open the .PSD file, I am greeted by the error: "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document"I have had a look for any others whove experienced the same bug with little luck.Anything helps, Thanks.
GPT says it’s connected to Adobe but I’m always getting the 403 - access forbidden. This is despite me being signed in to both Adobe and GPT. I’ve tried signing out and uninstalling on both but nothing works. I’m using Chrome for my Adobe, the GPT app for GPT. Is this a technical fault on Adobe’s side or is there something I’m doing incorrectly?
I tried 'Generative upscale' which is a third party feature. Firstly, it didn’t work at all. Secondly, it broke Photoshop, which now crashes on creating a new file. No choice but to uninstall, reinstall, and never use this feature again - at least, until it's been integrated as a safe Adobe feature and not this third party trash. For the record, generative upscale would be extremely useful if it worked!
A custom Action (created in the Actions panel) does not appear in the Action dropdown of the File > Automate > Batch dialog.Workaround to make it appear: open a document, select the Action in the Actions panel, then close the document — after that the Action shows up in Batch. However, when running Batch with this Action, Photoshop returns the error: "The command '[command name]' is not currently available" — i.e. Batch cannot find a command recorded inside the custom Action. The same Action runs without any issues when played manually from the Actions panel (Play).Steps to reproduce:Create a new Set and Action in the Actions panel, record several steps. Open File > Automate > Batch — the Action is missing from the dropdown. Open a document, select the Action in the Actions panel, close the document. Open File > Automate > Batch again — the Action is now listed. Select a Source folder, run Batch.
