Photoshop

I am using a Canon iX6850. It was printing fine with the ICC profile sRGB IEC61966-2.1. But after installing a new printer (the same model just a newer one), I had lost the printer profile.    I downloaded again and put it in the correct folder Library/colorsync/Profiles, but its not showing up when I try to print in photoshop.    Please help as every other profile I use gives me poor colour printouts. I need this one back as it worked perfectly.   Thanks in anticipation of your help.

Photoshop version 26.10.0.The weights of the kernel sum up to 841, so the Scale being set to that value should not change the lightness of the image, but it does. The weights are:{1, -5, -21, -5, 1,-5, 25, 105, 25, -5,-21, 105, 441, 105, -21,-5, 25, 105, 25, -5,1, -5, -21, -5, 1}FYI, this filter was built from the following separable 5x1 kernel:{ -1, 5, 21, 5, -1 } with Scale set to 29.Which works fine when first applied horizontally then vertically.

I'm often retouching over many hours at a time and it happens from time to time that I accidentally click 'don't save' rather than 'save' when closing an image, often losing a lot of work (this usually happens when I'm quite tired). It is poor design that these two options are so close to each other. 

Please can we have the ability to make the curves adjustment panel much larger. It is very difficult to make tiny adjustments when it is so small. Also being able to view the each of the channels layered over each other whilst making adjustments to only one channel at a time. The Davinci resolve curves panel is much nicer to use.  

This is for a computer one of my students is using. TheTools window usually has the FOREGROUND/BACKGROUND squares on the very bottom, and the three dots to EDIT TOOLBAR. On this computer, the boxes for foreground/background color and Edit Tool bar are missing. Resetting Tools under Window>Tools presets does not fix it. We even uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop, and there is no option to Edit the Toolbar to see f-ground/b-ground colors. My student is frustrated as am I.

I am sure I am missing something, but no matter what I do if change the canvas size it changes my image size. If I change the image size first it eliminates the canvas dimensions. What am missing.

Hello,using photoshp 26.10.0 and Windows 11 Pro 24H2.All of a sudden, Photoshop completely crashes seconds after I pick object selection tool. No error message, nothing. The spinning "thinking/processing" cursor appears for a coiuple of seconds and then photoshop crashes and closes itself.Any ideas ? Thanks, David.

hi all, Ive got an MSI creator z17 and am looking for a compatible stylus for it. It comes with the MSI pen 2 (mmp2.6) which was great but the nibs are terrible. All 3 nibs broke within a week of use and MSI don't sell replacement nibs??? You have to buy a whole new MSI pen 2 altogether to get nibs!!!   With that I'm looking for is an alternative stylus and wondered if anyone had any recommendations. I tried the bamboo ink 2nd gen but it did not work with PS. It worked with MS one note but pressure sensitivity was poor and buggy.  I got the surface 2 pen not realising that you needed to spend another£20-£30 just to turn it on (comes with a built in battery and no charger - and needs to charge for 1 sec to actually turn on). This means I could not even test it to see if it worked or not with my MSI??   Anyone have experience or recommendation with a stylus for MSI creator z 17 that works with PS?

Hello,   I am using PhotoShop 2022. I have created an art work with several layers. When I got to File > Export > Layers to Files. I select the option to have them saved in the PNG 24 format and select the folder where I would like to have them placed. After it runs through all the layers I keep receiving an error that states "The Command Delete is not currently available". Once I press okay another small pop up box states "Error : User cancelled the operation". Meanwhile, I have done no such thing to interrupt the process via key strokes or mouse activity. I have tried to troubleshoot by closing Photoshop and restarting it and attempting the same process and keep getting the same error. I have also restarted the computer multiple times as well. I also tried the same process using the JPEG file as an option instead of the png24 and that export worked successfully (I need the files in png24 format). I would greatly appreciate any help to get this error resolved as the project

I erased part of text letter to get a different shape (then applied stroke). To do this photshop rastersized the layer so I could erase so the loopy detail I did not want. I am now trying to convert to shape so it can be used for print but I dont have the option to convert to shape like I do with the unaltered text. Is there an easy way to do this? thank you

The Super Zoom neural filter is great! However, it doesn't seem to be compatible with a batch processing workflow because its output is limited to: - New Layer: Even using the New Layer option, the enlarged layer is added over the original, but the document canvas size isn't scaled to match it. - New document: Creates an "Untitled" document, which renders batch processing useless if I wanted to retain the original filenames.  I really just want to be able to run Super Zoom on a folder of images, and the output them into another folder. If there is a way to add an option in which Super Zoom can be applied to the original document, that would be wonderful.   The problem with this is that neither of these options work with batch processing of images for Super Zoom. 

I know this is a real newbie question but I can't seem to find an answer. I want to create my image size to be 7.75" x 9.75 w x h to fit inside an 8 x 10 matted frame. Everytime I try to change the image size, the dimension auto adjust. How can I work around that or accomplish my objective? In addition I want to put a larger border around the image so the overall print is larger than the matte itself.

Photoshop’s Options bar, Preferences labels, and panel headers are very light gray and hard to read on my 4K Dell U2725QE—even with Lightest theme, Large UI font, and 200% UI scaling. Is there a way to have a real-time updating preview box (or thumbnail view) so that while I'm zoomed in, I can see how what I'm working on looks at its full view? Does any tool like this exist in Photoshop?This question is probably confusing, so what I'm talking about is this kind of feature that exists in Paint called the Thumbnail View:Paint Tool Sai also has this feature:I ask because I'm working on some pixel art and it's really annoying to have to keep hitting Ctrl+1 whenever I want to see it at its full size, then have to zoom all the way back in to get back to work. It seems like a no-brainer for Photoshop to have this feature, but I can't find it. It's also a hard topic to search for since "Thumbnail View" in Photoshop usually refers to layer thumbnails or file icons.

it's unbelievable... every time there is even a small system update on the mac, my printer (canon pro 300) prints out washed out reds. it's baffling!mac studio, photoshop, canon pro 300 (all very up to date!).

My problem: My working surface is yellow-ish. All colours appear to be more yellow-ish than they should be as you can see in the pictures below.When i export the picture it is normal again (not yellow-ish anymore).Also the pictures in the preview are in the original colours (not yellow-ish).As you can see it's yellow-ish just in the working surface.These are my colour settings ... well in german. Also i don't use the view of a proof.Maybe some of you have a clue for me.Thanks in anticipation!

Hello everyone! Wanted to ask for your help/advice. I am having trouble with saving raw to jpg after the latest Photoshop update (23.0/Camera Raw 14.0), MacOS. When I open a Camera Raw file to edit it, it has all the data I expect, and it is the appropriate file size – approx. 44MB. However, after editing and saving it to a 300dpi JPG, the final file size seems far too small now – between 4 – 8.8MB in comparison to 20MB and higher I was getting before. I have saved the files at the highest image options (Maximum 10-12). If the same file is then opened and saved from Photoshop, again in the highest Image Options quality and Format Options as Baseline (Standard), the size is reduced even more down to 500kb – 1MB!When I try to open, edit and save the same file in latest version of Lightroom, the final size of JPG is almost 23 MB.I was playing with Camera Raw Preferences and tried several settings there (Adobe Default vs. Camera Settings + checked Override master settings for specific came

My steps: I created a new Brush Preset, and then in the Brush Settings in the Shape Dynamics window, I tried to turn off Pen Pressure for this brush. But as soon as I start drawing, it instantly reverses back by itself. If I uncheck Shape Dynamics, it also reverses back as soon as the pen touches the tablet. How do I stop it from reversing? There is no 'save settings' button.I tried to create presets based on Hard round and Hard round pressure size brushes. 

Hi all,I am wanting to create a repeat pattern for a wallpaper design with the pattern below on photoshop.On all the tutorials the background seems to start as a square not sure if this matters but my background measurements are 52cm width by 76cm length which is the length of the pattern down before it repeats again and the width of the wallpaper across.Basically, I am wanting to create a repeat pattern so the flowers don't appear so regimented and the repeat doesn't look so grid-like and the pattern just intertwines without any obvious repeat.Is there a way to do this on photoshop?Many thanksR

Here are my problems I have been having over the past few months1. When I switch tools by clicking on their icons, or using shortcuts sometimes the tools will automatically change to the last option.     a. I click on the brush tool, (or press B,) and the tool automatically changes to Mixer Brush Tool, instead of the first option which is Brush.     b. This happens with every change in tool, (if i select Move Tool, it switches over to Artboard Tool.) 2. Another strange one, if I for example select four layers and attempt to move them, it will without fail remove one of the layers as I begin to drag them with the move tool.Why does this occur? I can Alt Cntrl Shift to reset PS, but it has become incredibly tedious to do so.
