I updated photoshop last night and now my MAC won't open the NEF files in photoshop. Please can anyone help?

There is already a discussion in the community "Brush Outline/Circle disappearing intermittently (NOT CAPS LOCK) ". But since I have figured out in detail how to reproduce the behavior and when it becomes present, I want to report the issue officialy that Adobe hopefully will fix this in one of the next upcoming patch releases.   OS Environment: Win 10 Pro 64bit 21H1 Adobe Ps 23.0.2   The issue is only present in combination when using Masks on a layer! Hi there! I am working on my document, and a word "analecta" keeps appearing all over the document when I am finished with the text. Yet it does not allow me to select it. And the bug is not specific to just that layer. 

Photoshop makes me save all images every time I quit and I end up having to force quit all the time because I dont want to save them all.   There are so many.   Couldnt find any info about this.  Must be doing something wrong.  Hoping someone can help me

getting this error today when trying to resize photos in PSD files.   "could not transform the path because the selected portion of the path does not enclose any pixels"

I've been supplied a photo by a singer who has asked me to retouch a black Stetson hat onto her head on a photo she supplied.. I used genearative AI with a very precise brief. A warning came up saying I had broken Adobe guidelines. What guidelines woud I have broken and how do I enable Adobe AI to allow me to make this image change.  I have permission from both the original photographer and the subject of the photo? The photo is a standard rock star pose and not at all offensive or sugestive and has not been previously published.

I've seen multiple posts on this problem for previous Ps versions (specifically 26.2).  I've never experienced it until upgrading to 26.9 on an M4 MBP w 128GB of RAM.   Remove Tool will take so long that it seems to have frozen - like 10 seconds or more sometimes. Doesn't matter if Generative AI is on / off / auto. Doesn't matter if brush size is big or small. Creating a 50% grey overlay layer then retouching on another layer over it doesn't solve this.  Anyone else having this?Might have to go back a version again to be able to use the program like I need to...

While using the brush tool in Photoshop I hold the option key to activate the eye dropper tool, but when I select the color I want to use it is putting it as the bottom color vs the top. So in order to use the color I need to flip the colors. It never used to do this. I am in v 26.9 of PS. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I installed the 25.11 version of Photoshop last week. The generative fill should have the option in the 3 dot menu for variations to "generate similar". I only get good, bad or report. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no effect. I'm working on an iMac with Sonoma 14.5. When I installed the update, Adobe indicated that my system was compatible. Any ideas?  Thanks for your help.

I use LR-CC 14.5 and PS 26.9 on a Mac M4 with MacOS Sequoia 15.6. Since recent the photo's are not loaded into PS from LR. PS is starting, but then nothing happens. I can however, load a photo direct into PS.I tried to deinstall PS en install again, but that did not solve the issue.Does anyone have a solution?

I have ARW files that i first loaded in ACR applied settings then i used command Load Files into Stack and when all opened as layers, settings that i applied in ACR and saved in sidecar XMP were ignored.

Sorry, as the title I found this exercise in the Adobe site I managed to install the action, brushes and patterns. I tried to follow the tutorials but the videos do not go, they are 3 but always repeats the first.Following the instructions I started the action but it always hangs on the back filling layer, you can help me please?

Why are the MS Fluent Emojis burned in the latest Photoshop update (the smileys and characters)? I didn't have this problem before!    Probably a new cake that Adobe has baked for us with garbage AI!

Hello, I have been fighting with photoshop on this and finally decided to come and ask.I have followed the steps of changing it in preferences, but, it doesn't work for the spell check.I am in the UK, we have different spellings than US English. But the spell check, even though language is set to “English international”(why is there no English UK?) It keeps giving American spelling. Nothing I do seems to change this! It's frustrating and annoying. I have gone to preferences, Account  preferences, everything I can think of. I installed it in the UK, my location is the UK, so why on earth does it keep giving me american spelling?

I am using Photoshop 24.0.0. When I use the font Leander Script Pro Bold (a script font), alternate letters show when I rollover the letter, but when I try to choose an alternative, it doesn't change. I opened the file in Photoshop 23.3.2 and it worked just fine.

So, I've been plagued by a weird error today. I was working with some game textures using Photoshop, just some basic stuff with Intel's DDS plugin, as I've been for the last two months or something. Then, suddenly, I couldn't open files with Photoshop still open. I tried, but nothing.So, I went and restarted my computer. Now, I literally couldn't launch Photoshop AT ALL. Nothing, no splashscreen, no error. On the task manager, I had the "Adobe Photoshop 2025" process running, and the "Crash Processor" as well, but nothing on my screen.So, I went and tried uninstalling and reinstalling. No success. Also, in the process, I found that Creative Cloud had 191 error updating (which I solved by changing the main drive used for installation on Windows, so it's ok now).In a last ditch effort, I downloaded the Creative Cloud cleanup tool, removed everything. Installed everything. Same error. Tried again, now removing all of my settings, everything. No success. Tried reinstalling my video driver

Under the print dialogue in photoshop, the document profile says "untagged rgb" which means there is no embedded profile. Any photos I used to scan had a profile, and when I open old photos that i've scanned or worked on that once had a profile, they no longer do. I went into the color management policies under edit -> color settings and my RGB, CMYK, and Gray all say preserve embedded profiles. I am not sure what the actual problem is or why my photos that once automatically had profiles, no longer do. 

I want to use Content-Aware Tracing Tool to convert this low-resolution logo into a high-resolution vector. When I activated this tool only part of the edge is traced because the image is very much rasterized. Suitable values are required in Image Size to trace entire edge. I tried many values, but I am unable to find it. How to fix this? File is uploaded as well.Convert to Vector          

Before a few years i had seen a teaser so that in the future, there would be a ver of Pshop with a feature that would remove/fix any blur cause by movement when shooting a photo. Is this available by any Pshop version today?
