Photoshop

I just purchased a new computer.. and when trying the photoshop 2025 I have on it... It seems that it is quite different. After Bitmapping someting for a nice halftone, the image zooms way out and goes to the corner. So everytime I halftone, I have to grab and recenter, and zoom back into my project.  Drives me nuts! Also, The halftones seem different as well... I use Photoshop for my screen print company.  But for some reason it behaves differently on my new Mac Mini.  I guess I just gotta get to know it. But the corner and zoom out issue is enough to drive me up the wall.Thanks

The version of photoshop 22.2 was supposed to be available for download until August 2023 in the desktop Creative cloud. It does not seem available anymore, at least I cannot find it. I have seen that other people have complained about the same thing. 

I can't seem to make my Ellipse properties panel appear.   When I have the Ellipse tool selected or an ellipse in my document, Windows>Properties only seems to show a properies panel for the document, not the ellipse tool.   The ellipse tool properties also don't seem to appear at the top of the screen even though the properties for other tools, e.g., brush or paint bucket tool do appear there.    I'm looking for Fill, Stroke, stuff like that.   I've attached a screenshot. Windows 10 64 bit Photoshop Creative Cloud Adobe Photoshop Version: 25.12.1 20241213.r.994 e7ca8b4 x64 Thanks in advance.

PS 26.8.1 I have an RGB photo on a layer. I want to have the top of the photo gradually go out of focus.I have asked Gen Fill to select subject (a vase with flowers). I took the generated selection of the subject and selected the inverse. I made that into an alpha channel. I duplicated that Alpha channel. I now have an alpha channel with the foreground black and the background white, and I want to take the white area in the alpha channel and make a gradient white to black.  What used to happen is that with only the Alpha channel selected (RGB no eyeballs) I could add a gradient to just one Alpha channel. But what's happening now is when I draw the gradient, with only the Alpha channel selected, it creates a gradient fill mask over the background layer, and the Alpha channel is unaffected. I see no way to get the gradient on the Alpha channel, like in the past. What has changed? I can only edit a project properly on my laptop, but if I switch to another computer, even if signed in, I can see my project, open it and add new things to it, but cannot access my previous layers to edit the original. What am I missing? Example: working on a logo, can edit it... switches to other computer and cant edit the text, or anything. It wont work.  Any hints on troubleshooting or is this a bug?

Even though the date on the Photoshop app on my iPad Pro shows the correct date when I export it as a png it saves as a random date. 

got blue screened while trying to export a jpg with minor adjustments from camera raw. event id 41, source kernel power. no idea why and idk if itll happen again but i  know wanna why and if theres anything i can do to stop it from happening again. my computers not the issue i have 16gb ram, a 4050 and an i7 and ive been using photoshop forever never had this problem but never used camera raw to edit a jpg tho so not sure if i did something wrong.

Hi Everyone! I recently built myself a PC, and plugged in my drawing tablet (Goamon PD1161) and I started to use Photoshop, but everytime I drew with it for some reason or another the pen would quickly drag up to the top left corner of the canvas and draw there. I wondered if this had happened to anyone else, or if it was an issue with my tablet? If anyone has any ideas that would be amazingly helpful, as I've tried to reinstall drivers, unplug and plug it in, refresh settings, and I truly don't know where to go from here. Thank you for your help 🙂 

....I have a copy of Photoshop CS2, but now on my new PC I'm stuck trying to instal it at the point ware I need to enter a "Authorization Code" for which I don't have.  I need to get this code so that I may proceed.

I've been noticing a small bug in Photoshop on Windows for quite some time. When I press Windows key + V to paste an image from the clipboard history, Photoshop sometimes pastes the wrong image—not the image I selected from the history, but the one before or after it. Whereas what I clicked should have been pasted... This happens in many versions of Photoshop and causes confusion. Please fix this issue in a future update.

Can I obtain the rendering box size and position of a text layer using UPX? By "rendering box," I mean the box that tightly surrounds the text (like the red box in the image). This concept is similar to "absoluteRenderBounds" in Figma. I'm developing a Photoshop plugin to convert Figma files to PSD format, and this information is essential for achieving precise text alignment. 

Hello, I was wonder what would cause the Pen Tool to default to the "Combine Shapes" option in the Path operation? Whenever I use my Pen Tool, I need to have it set at "Exclude Overlapping Shapes" but something is causing it to always set back at "Combine Shapes". I am operating on a Windows machine.

I'm sure this is very easy but as a new user I'm struggling to find how to do it. I want to draw a curved line using the curvature pen tool and add an arrowhead to one end. What is the best way?

I created a new Action called DB to just remove the background, merge to get a white background then save and get the pop up, which is not part of the planned action. All I want to do is save as a jpeg. See attached screen shot. Help please. Brian]

Hello,The line width tool can be decreased/increased with [ and ], but unlike the brush size, its value increases just by 1 pixel regardless of the current value. I wanted to write a function to decrease/increase depending on the current value just like the brush tool. Although I was able to read the current value, I found no way to change it programmatically.

Unfortunately, it's now June 2025 and this issue is still ongoing—at least for me and a few of my colleagues. I'm running Windows 11 (23H2) with Photoshop 26.8 (though the Beta version 26.9 has the same problem). I'm having to restart Photoshop multiple times per hour just to get Liquify to work again.I've already tried a fresh install of Windows on a brand-new Dell laptop (13th Gen i9, RTX 3500, 32GB RAM) with a clean install of Photoshop, but the error still appears after editing just a few images.Clearing the cache, changing scratch disks, and adjusting performance settings haven't made any difference either.Adobe, please help—this is seriously impacting our workflow.

I'm trying to reverse a path in Photoshop. So a simplied version is a two point path, in which a stroke fades along its length.  I want to reverse the direction - flipping the image will work, but only for this simple example. Not a long term solution. I know this can be done by taking said path into Illustrator and reversing Path Direction. I'm looking for a Photoshop only solution. I know about changing shapes from Combine Shapes to Subtract Front Shape. Hello - Why cant we have a larger area to edit out file names in? this hasnt changed since vs 2 of photoshop and it has always frustrated me. we have very long file names and it would be very very helpful to see the whle filename at once instead of having to scroll to the end to edit it or check it or change it! why do we only get a very small window to use when the whole area is free to use? This applies to all the Adobe products!
