Photoshop

I want to draw layered rectangular shape layers in the image, similar to a brick effect, but I don't know how to accomplish this. The image below was manually pieced together. I hope to control the number of brick columns using variables Thank you all for your help

Greetings,Is this a bug or not a feature?There seems to be no way to do a select all Artboards in the Layer window using shift+click. I've found that I can ctrl/cmd+click on each Artboard name in the graphics area one by one or I can ctrl/cmd+click on each Artboard in the Layer window, and I can then change the Artboard background simultaneously to transparent (or the same color), but if I try a shift+click on the top and bottom Artboards it Layer window, PS treats this as some type "select everything" and not just a "select all" Artboards, so the Properties window just goes blank, where the Artboard background color box was when individually picking an Artboard or ctrl/cmd+clicking on each Artboard. Thanks for any help on this.

Hello Community, I'm curious about Photoshop's randomization capabilities. I'm looking to batch edit a group of photos using a Photoshop action, and within that action, use filters in the Filter Gallery. Is there a way to randomize the parameter values used in a Filter gallery filter? I've done some research and it looks like the best way to do this would be through the use of a script. Is anyone aware of a Photoshop script that can randomize filter parameters? I've looked within this forum and other places online for days and have been unable to find anything like this. I'm completely new to scripting so any help at all is greatly appreciated 🙂 

Is there a solution to have Lightroom or Bridge (using Adobe Camera Raw) perform Adobe Super Resolution 2x upscale directly to TIFF format? The way it works now, when I use "Enhance 2x," the files don't appear upscaled when I load them into other editors, Topaz programs, XnView, and others. It unnecessarily complicates my workflow to have to enhance to DNG and then convert that DNG to TIFF in Adobe Bridge to get the upscaled image. Thanks

In Photoshop 2025, the option "Use legacy New document interface" is greyed out, but when I reset preferences it goes back to normal and I can tick the option. Even I select it and press ok, my interface is still old one, and it's bugging sometimes, takes a 10-20 secs to open it. I tried everything, from reseting preferences to downgrading on old versions and I don't know what to do anymore. It's also happening in my Illustrator 2025. Please help, It's really frustrating. Btw I'm using Win11

I recently updated to Photoshop 26.4.1 on Windows 10, and I've noticed that I can no longer create a gradient mask that fades out completely to full transparency. Even when I set the black point of the gradient mask to RGB(0, 0, 0), the layer doesn't fade out as expected and it still remains partially visible.I've double-checked that my gradient is set to black-to-white, and I've tried different blending modes and opacity settings, but nothing seems to fully fade the masked area. Has anyone else encountered this issue, or is there a setting I might be overlooking? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!  

I tried to apply layer style effect that is bevel effect on two different text layers but when I change some bevel setting on one text layer it changes on other text layer as well

Hello,  My laptop is too old (10+ years old) to run the latest Photoshop. So I found an old Photoshop CS5 installer on internet archive and can use it for free (since it's so old). I have tested it before and it's completely safe and virus free. Nothing bad happened to my computer. I don't have the intention of pirating anything. And yes I did try other free and open source alternative like Gimp, Krita, Clipstudio, Photopea, Affinity Photo, etc, but Photoshop has the best tools and settings that would work for me. Just asking to make sure since Adobe is against cracked software. 

What is the Tap Select tool on the iPad?

I do a lot of digitial illustration with lots of brushes, all neatly organized in folders. For the past six months or so I've noticed that a brush I am using will, seemingly at random, move out from it's designtated folder down to the bottom of my entire brush library. So I'll go to select a new brush (by right clicking while using the brush tool to bring up the library) and discover the brush I'm currently using is now is at the bottom of the list. Then I have to drag it back up and find the place in the folder where I had placed it originally. Is it possible there is a shortcut for "Send brush to end of library" that I'm accidentally hitting? or is this a weird bug? Any help would be greatyl appreciated, because it's maddening. Most up to date photoshop, Mac OS.

Hi I edited raw image & saved to tiff.  I had experience black horizontal line across the image.  Sometimes it appeared & I had to redo again.(MacOS Sonoma 14.4.1) Please help  

I have a very high end new computer I just got done building... I9 3.2ghz processor. nvidia GeForce 4070 ti gpu64 gb ddr5 ram dual 2 TB gen 5 SSD'son board intel uh700 graphics (not assigned to photoshop)win. 11 pro newest version of Adobe photoshop installed as of march 8. I believe 26.4 is the version. this thing is a rocket ship. I do a lot of graphics, video and audio production and this thing is flawless and stupid fast. The ONLY issue I have is with photoshop. Whenever I try to open a .jpg file, I get "can not open this file due to a program error.' i tried all of the self helps. Uninstall, reinstall. Deleted remnants in registry to make sure all traces were gone. Disabled high end video card and disabled on board video to test both. Did all of the suggested fixes from photoshop themselves. Tried 4 different past versions. Like I said, I did everything. brand new nvidia driver as of march 7. . Went as far as uninstalling windows and reinstalling it.

Has anyone encountered this issue before?Previously, when using the Pen Tool to create a path and input text, the text would follow the path correctly. However, I’m now experiencing a misalignment—please see the attached screenshot for reference.Has there been a change in settings, or is there a workaround to resolve this?Appreciate any insights!

"Could not parse the file contents as a data set. There were not enough variable names in the first line of the text file." I have tried using google sheets to generate my CSV, I've done it through excel, I've deleted the initial sheet in excel and pasted the contents into a new sheet as values, I have tried using text files with commas and nothing has worked. It appears that this issue is rampant on the internet and I don't understand why a reasonable fix hasn't been made to variables. Por eso me pregunto si estará en el menú de Photoshop. Por ejemplo, "Coincidir colores de impresión", que he marcado, no sé cómo influye en esta cuestión. U otros como "Gamma". Hacía tiempo que no usaba la impresora, pero creo que "perceptual" era lo que marcaba, no "colorimétrico relativo". La impresora es una Epson de inyección de tinta XP-8600. En ajustes de impresión, el tipo de papel asignado es correcto y he marcado "escala de grises" no "color".Gracias anticipadas.

Hi I hope someone can help me. I have zero knowledge with JS. I'm trying to batch update 6 smart objects using JJMack's JS. The actions of the script is working as expected, however it shows an error "Error: General Photoshop error occurred. This functionality may not be available in this version of Photoshop. - <no additional information available>: on line 578" preventing me to save the PSD file.What I tried:1.) I matched the new smart objects' dimensions and ppi to the old smart objects.2.) Tried using PSD files as replacement smart objects.3.) (Pshop 25.12.1, OS Ventura 13.4.1) I noticed that the little flyout/pop-up palette for the Fill & Stroke feature accessed at the top of my work window does not open in front of the document I'm working on (see pic). Isn't this wrong? Shouldn't the pop-up palettes always open in front of an open document, so I don't have to move the open document out of the way to access the palette?

Please tell me details

I bought  Lenovo Legion 7i laptop with i9 and 32GB of fast ram, top of the line gaming, fastest processor, fast ram. But when I do my standard phoshop tests like "time to open" or "speed_test.atn" it is way slow, twice as slow as my 2 year old desktop with older components.   Why is that?  I think its becasue of heat, that they cant put components that can use the high transfer rate and processing power of photoshop without creating too much heat.  And there is no way to tell how a laptop is put together, or how exactly the companents perform with photoshiop, without buying it.  The numbers/specs mean nothng. Anybody have a laptop that opens photoshop in 5 seconds? thank you . . .

Currently running PSD 26.4.1 I kept waiting for an update to fix this and it hasn't. I would really like to fix this without haveing to RESET everything or re-install.  Suggestions? Adobe do you know about this? (eit: added sys info as requested)

Ever since I updated Photoshop to v26.4 I've been having problems with Camera Raw. When I first open Photoshop CR works just fine. After using Photoshop for a while however I get an error messge when I try to invoke CR from the File Menu. The message is:Camera Raw requires graphics processor accelleration to edit photos.If I shut down PS and restart it CR works fine for a while.I am running Windows 11 with all updates applied.My CPU is an i9-14900KMemory is 64GBVidio adapter NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti with 8GB of Vidio RAM This problen started after I upgraded Photoshop to v26.4.
