Issue: Photoshop not releasing a folder after a save-asPhotoshop version: Adobe Photoshop Version: 27.8.0 20260610.r.13 4081857  x64 (final, Release)OS and version: Windows 11 Pro, 23H2, 22631.3007Issue: steps to reproduce the behavior:- Open any document- do a Save-as- close documentExpected result:- Able to move containing colder after file closedActual result:- Parent directory remains open- Handle migrates between Photoshop.exe, node.exe, and Adobe Crash Processor- Prevents moving completed job folders until Adobe eventually releases the handle- Mostly releases the handle after next Save-as or Photoshop is closed unless Adobe Crash Processor takes the handle- Killing Adobe Crash Processor sometimes moves the handle back to PhotoshopExtra info:- Process Explorer and Handle64 confirm the handle is on the folder, not just the fine itself- No third-party plug-ins required- External NTFS 5400 RPM drive almost every time- Occurs intermittently on internal M2 SSD- No third-party plug-ins

My entire computer consistently crashes when I try to use “Select and mask”, Some of my photoshop files have even been corrupted if the file I tried to mask was in them. Im not sure what has been causing this. I’ve tried to update my drivers, my gpu, cleared my cache, allocated more RAM space for photoshop to use, and nothing seems to work. Any guesses as to what could be causing this? I am not extremely savvy when It comes to hardware optimization, but I couldn’t find any similar issues online to help fix this problem.

Photoshop 2026 will not open any JPEG files. I receive a message that says “Could not open “file name” because the file was not found.” Yes, the files are there and are uncorrupted– Preview and other other apps have no problem with the JPEGs. It does not matter if the files are local, on a drive, or wherever. Also, photoshop has no issue opening PNGs, PSDs, or really any other normals file formats. I recently updated, reinstalled, restarted, and deleted photoshop 2025 from my machine to try to remedy the problem. I’m working on an iMac 2020 with Sequoia 15.7.3As a work around, I’ve been opening the JPGs in Preview and copying and pasting them into a Photoshop file, but I’d prefer a real fix over this method.

I have had a Creative Cloud CC plan for years. This morning when I opened my app and clicked on Photoshop it began to open but then disappeared. I rebooted my computer. I tried every possible fix. I tried the Repair option. Nothing works. Now what do I do?

I do have adobe CS5 I want to install in my computer I just want to know if is possible 

When i try to generate in other partner models it shows this error please help me to fix this & how to lift this case to adobe

This is the third time in 3 months that I have had to reinstall photoshop because it would not open. All my presets and actions are long gone. How to I keep it from happening again and can I get my presets and actions back. I use the computer, I am not a computer person. Simple instructions please.Thank you

My father recently passed away. He was known here as JJMack. This community was a big part of his life. After retiring from IBM, this is where he would spend a great deal of his time trying to help people as best he could. His strength was figuring out how things work, communication was not.  Despite this, he was able to amass 38,147 Posts, 9206 Likes, and most importantly 3437 solutions.  I'm sure his posts will live on and continue to help people. I work with Photoshop professionally myself and occasionally will research a problem I am having only to find a solution posted here by my father. In the future it will be bitter sweet when this happens again. Goodbye, world.

Why do my Photoshop files look like this? When I save the file out it looks correct, but in Photoshop it looks off. Way off! 

Images are opened for editing directly from bridge. then editied in Photoshop. Once a an image is open in Photoshop, the application freezes . There is no notice that it is not responding.

Estou com um bug no Photoshop relacionado às pranchetas. Ao criar, duplicar ou editar pranchetas, passam a aparecer áreas brancas/transparente fora delas, como se o canvas estivesse sendo exibido/renderizado de forma incorreta. Antes isso não acontecia no mesmo arquivo e fluxo de trabalho. Já testei reinstalação, reset de preferências, atualização do Photoshop e do macOS, e o problema continua, sem mensagem de erro.
