So i used to work with PS22 and i have to separate image colors for industrial printing, usually into CMYK+Pantones. I had an accurate visualization of the way the colors mix and overlay. Or, you know, as accurate as it can be - just a good standard measure norm for different clients.A while ago, my boss got me PS24, and since then i’ve been having trouble with the visualization of spot colors mixing/overlay/solidity. As shown in these captures:→ Here’s the image with only CMYK channels enabled, displays alright:→ Here’s the same image, where the Yellow channel has been made into a spot color (that will print with Pantone). It nearly blocks everything, like it lays over the other channels.→ My coworker suggested i leave the Yellow channel as visible, which for us is a common troubleshooting when the image doesn’t load/print correctly on Illustrator, but that doesn’t work either :(I have obviously tried to change the solidity to different levels, but it doesn’t match the final printing
I use the xNormal plugin alot while working on assets. converting black and white information into normal maps. Since i updated photoshop. I dont have a plugins folder anymore and I can't use the plugin. Everytime I try, it sends me to the app store for plugins and its not in there. Is there anything I can do? I have tried the chat help but i dont think the message was translating well. I just want to be able to use my old plugin which is a 8BF file format.
Hi,I´m using Photshop CC and I'm rendering a video for a client. The document was created with Artboards ON, and now that I'm exporting the video it adds a lot of blank space around the visible area. The Artboard is 800x800 px but when I'm exporting the video it says the document size is 1600x1600, effectively adding a black space on the resulting video. This is super annoying. I tried Disabling the Auto-Size canvas on the Artboards Gear Icon, tried using the slice tool, and even cropping the image, but when the video is rendered, even tho I set the size as 800x800, it keeps adding the black space around the video. Is there a way to fix this? !
Has anyone been able to install PS 22.2 now that version 23 has released? I want to be able to use 3D for the lighting effects and have been waiting for 23 to release to be able to install it. All I see in the creative cloud is 22.5.2
One thing I would find super valuable would be enhanced brush controls in Photoshop. I know there are mixer brushes, but those don't achieve what I would like. I would love:- Ability to have texture rotate and change size while drawing- Customize how much a brush multiplies or other adjustments- ability to add a smear type of function to brushes so that they smear in real time- overall more control of outcome
Why is webP not available under Save for web? this would make the work of web developers easier./Ewa Catewicz
Running a action more than once. I had this working prior to upgrading windows 11 home to pro and had to reload all apps. I redone this action of image size and run it more than once but now it will only play once. I set a size 110% then press the play until I am happy with the size but now it plays once only. So what I missed I am unsure.
I did something and all of a sudden the only line tool I have available is an arrow. Can someone please help me find the line again? Or maybe there's a website where I can download a new TPL file? Thanks!
I've seen similar posts on this issue, but it also seems the folks weren't providing key details until later in the post, so I'm posting my version of this issue.Photoshop randomly on open (many times) will reset the keyboard shortcut preferences. I have various menu functions set to FKeys on the keyboard. For instance, menu functions like Save or Save As, Image Size, Gaussian Blur, etc. Two times this year this reset has also reset the Actions to defaults, which (very angrily) caused me to lose a whole new set of actions I created. My fault for not backing them up every week, but in fairness I shouldn't have to do this. These resets do not directly follow an update to the program - they are truly random as it just happened at the time of this posting.Appreciate any insight!
Suddenly my object selection tool has gone haywire. When selecting people a warning advises there are no people although there are people as attachment shows. When removing something from the image, instead of removing it, it replaces . Attachment shows I removed persons head and it replaced it with another head from goodness knows where..P/S has worked perfectly upto today..I have uninstalled and re-installed but have the same problem. Graphics driver is upto date and I have touched nothing.. Six months old PC everything upto date. Windows 11 system
Remove tool needs a shortcut key toggle to turn on off 'remove after each stroke' and or a modifier key held while using the remove tool to enable or disable the 'remove after each stroke'. The having to go up to click the little square to turn on or off is a pain.
Hello, When I use Photoshop through the Sidecar feature on my iPad Pro, everything works smoothly, except for one issue with the Apple Pencil. Every time I draw a line, it leaves a dot where the line starts. I have attached a screenshot of what this looks like. I've never had this issue before, even when using a drawing tablet, so does anyone know where this is coming from? Thanks
Hi everyone,I’m currently working on improving product images for an e-commerce-style website and trying to build a consistent visual style using Adobe Photoshop.Project context:Website: [Link removed by moderator] Type: Product listings with images from different sources Issue: Inconsistent backgrounds, lighting, and overall presentationWhat I’m trying to achieve:Clean, uniform backgrounds (preferably white or light neutral) Consistent lighting and color balance across all products Professional look without spending too much time per imageCurrent workflow:Using Select Subject + Remove Background Adjusting brightness/contrast manually Applying basic color correction Exporting for webProblems I’m facing:Edges sometimes look rough or unnatural after background removal Lighting differs significantly between images Colors don’t always match the real product Time-consuming to manually fix each imageQuestions:What’s the most efficient workflow in Photoshop for batch-processing product images
Hello,I am experiencing a known bug with Photoshop 2026 (v27.5.0) on my Mac Mini M4 running macOS 26.3.1, where the entire Plugins menu becomes greyed out as soon as any plugin is installed. My setup:- Mac Mini M4, macOS Tahoe 26.3.1- Booting from external SSD (my home directory ~/Library is located on the external SSD)- System/Applications are on the internal NAND- Photoshop 27.5.0, installed via Creative CloudThe problem:- After a fresh Photoshop installation, the Plugins menu works correctly on first launch- As soon as I install any plugin via Creative Cloud (e.g. PiXimperfect Compositing), the Plugins menu becomes permanently greyed out- This happens regardless of whether Photoshop runs natively (ARM) or via Rosetta- The root cause appears to be that Photoshop registers plugins in ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/UXP/PluginsInfo/v1/PS.json with the path "$localPlugins/External/...", but cannot load them correctly when the home directory is on an external volume- Emptying PS.json
I have a series of panels docked to the right side of my screen. Since updating to the latest version of PS these won’t stay the way I set them to work. Each time I open Photoshop, the top three panel groups (Navigator, Color and Adjustments panels) are fully expanded height-wise, while the Layers panel is collapsed at the very bottom of the screen. Before I can work, I have to double click the Layers tab to expand it, then resize the other panels to how I want them. It’s a rather annoying inconvenience. I do have my workspace Locked (Window>Workspace>Lock Workspace).I’ve attached pix showing how they look when PS opens, and how I set them to work.Running Photoshop V 23.3.1, Windows 11 Pro build version 10.0.26200.PC - Core i7-10700k, 16gb ram, 8gb GeForce RTX3070
Hi, I'm experiencing a frustrating issue where Photoshop 2026 settings and shortcuts change or reset to defaults randomly while I am actively working.I want to be very clear: Completely resetting the application and the preference files DOES NOT solve the issue. The problem recurs almost immediately after a reset, even in the same session. Specific Examples of the Glitch: Alt Key Behavior: While using the Brush tool, holding the Alt key opens tool settings or UI pop-ups instead of switching to the Eyedropper for color picking. Filter Shortcut: The Ctrl + Alt + F shortcut (assigned to Last Filter) spontaneously starts opening the "Discover" panel instead of applying the previous filter. This happens mid-work without any manual changes. Since standard preference resets are useless in this case, I am looking for a permanent solution to prevent these spontaneous overrides.Photoshop Version: 2026 / 27.5Windows 11
Using the pen tool, I have created a path. It will not fill, despite the fact that it is a positive “Combine” shape and is a completely closed path. If I copy and paste it to a new document, it fills just fine. Paste it back into my working document, and it won't fill. I have another path near it, on the same layer, which is filled. I've tried using "Combine Shapes" to make sure it's a positive shape, I've made sure it is on my top layer, I've made sure the fill color doesn't match the color behind it. This has happened before. Windows 11 Pro, updated; all drivers up to date; Photoshop 27.5.0.
For years my workflow in PS was: open Tiffs with layers, edit, export in JPEG, close all, save before closing. It was perfect. Now, after I export my Tiffs, opened files are marked as saved. So I have to enter EACH file, one by one, and fake an edit, then I can save them all.EVERY. TIME.What’s the point of changing the logic fo faile saving? Is there a way to come back to the old logic?
New Guide: Please change back the add guide feature to default to the measurement system the file is set up with! I use guides a lot for print formatting and have a shortcut set up, and the input windows changed with the last update. It also used to automatically let you type into the "Position" box, but you now have to click it to start typing, and you have to specify the unit of measurement if you want the guide placed with something other than pixels.
I’m trying to use Random Fill to fill the selection in this image with skulls, but I don’t want the skulls at the edge of the selection to get cut off.I want it to look more like this. The only way I can get it to look like this is if I manually add in each individual skull that got cut off, which is really annoying and time consuming, especially when I make selections that get bigger and there are more and more skulls around the edge that get cut off.Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
Can't move a GROUP with the move tool. PS 20.0 grabs the last single item that I was working on within that group. Never had this happen before; been using PS since '89. Anyone else have this issue?
The box that surrounds text in blue is huge and is off center so it is impossible to align text properly as it jumps all over the place.
I am using the latest Adobe Camera RAW version on a Windows 11 laptop.I just spent a lot of time fixing an ACR subject mask and then spent a lot more time editing the subject. I then wanted to selectively edit everything except the subject, however, when I inverted the subject mask with the tweaks applied, the tweaks disappeared. I of course had a snapshot, so I didn't lose any changes, however, this is not the core issue.Creating a separate non-subject mask should not be necessary, and in this case, it ended up masking some of the subject anyway. So, the obvious question is - once I've finished editing a masked ACR subject, how can I simply and quickly selectively edit everything except the subject, without of course losing the subject edits in the process?
It's been out a few years now and it hasn't even slightly improved. If anything it's gotten worse. Let me remind you that this is a subscription app, you charge credits for ai tools on top of that, and yet the tools is worse than some random thing is find by googling "object removal" and trying the first option. You have to do better.
As mentioned in the original description, select subject does not work correctly from the masking interface, however if I use it outside of it and then create a mask it works. This has been an issue for me that has spanned multiple version, so I am unsure if its an issue on my end or not. I have reset my preferences with no success, and I believe I have previously reinstalled also with no success.I am using Photoshop 27.3 on Windows 11 with an Nvidia RTX 3080ti.
