I would like Photoshop to support persistent, named snapshots for Camera Raw Filter adjustments, similar to how snapshots work in Adobe Camera Raw when opening RAW files.ACR snapshots are extremely useful because they let users save multiple versions of a RAW edit and return to them later. But when using Filter > Camera Raw Filter inside Photoshop, there does not appear to be an equivalent way to save named ACR Filter states for later comparison. This would be very useful for photography workflows where Camera Raw Filter is used after an image has already been opened from RAW. When I return to Photoshop and later go back into Camera Raw Filter, if I want to build on a previous ACR Filter version, I first have to recreate the original settings instead of simply returning to a saved snapshot.Ideally, Camera Raw Filter snapshots would be bound to the specific Photoshop History State from which Camera Raw Filter was originally invoked. That way, the saved ACR Filter snapshots would only
Hello, I have installed the latest version of PS but when I try to use the Remove tool, I receive the message "Required components are being downloaded. Check back later to use the feature once the download is complete. It actually downloads nothing and every time I try to use this tool, the warning message appears.any ideas how to fix this?
Hello Adobe Photoshop Team,I would like to share some suggestions and feedback that could improve the workflow and user experience inside Photoshop, especially for designers who work daily on social media and branding projects.1. Text resizing behavior:When resizing text using the transform box, Photoshop switches to Move Tool behavior and creates a larger transform box around the text. This makes resizing feel indirect and requires extra steps. It would be much better if text resizing worked more directly and smoothly without unnecessary transform behavior.2. Incremental font size controls:Please add easier “step-by-step” font size increase/decrease buttons (for example small arrows beside font size) so users can quickly adjust text size gradually without typing values manually.3. Font menu placement:When changing fonts, the font list appears over the artboard and covers the design and text itself. It would be much better if the font list appeared as a side panel or floating panel awa
Cant open files in Photoshop v27.6.0On the file menu, all options to open are greyed out. When I try to double-click on a PSD file on my computer (MAC STUDIO) nothing happens, the file doesn't open. Occasionally the Open Recent option is available.I have to quite Photoshop and reopen to get it to work, though it will soon stop working.
Hello,I just installed the latest version of Photoshop, and other Adobe apps, on my Win11 PC (everything is up to date). Because I use 4k monitors, as many others do, I need to make the UI font sizes larger so I can actually see them. New glasses would be good, but that's a whole other discussion. I've tried the medium and large settings, but these apparently do nothing. I also tried this when checking the "Scale UI To Font" option, but that doesn't seem to do anything either. I do not want to set the UI in Windows itself to a higher percent, as that defeats the purpose of large monitors. The weird thing is this works absolutely great in Adobe Bridge; is there some similiar functionality in Photoshop as well? And if not, why the heck not? Why is this available in one app but not another? Anyway, I'd greatly appreciate a definitive answer to this. Thanks much.
I can use this Neural filter once or twice and then I start getting this error message. Works again a few hours later for one or two images. This question has been asked before and one poster said it was because the user didn't have enough ram. I have enough ram (64gb) and also an 8 gb gpu (but maybe that's the problem?) Any other ideas here. The other thread I found about this didn't help.Thank you
Numlock on the keyboard is on Click into the opacity field of a layer press 2,4,6 or 8 on the numpad an erorr message appearsUsing Windows 10.
As HDR still image support is starting to become more widespread, it would be great to have 32bit file support for generative fill/expand in PS.
After the new update i can not find the fill bucket icon under the gradient icon anymore is the bucket relocated somewhere else. Or is this some sort of bug / error?
Hi, I have been using PS for more than a decade. It seems like my skills are not improving anymore. I can make a extreme difficult project(according to people) while having a hangover. I am looking for a course which you think have the knowledge up to the par. Thanks in advance.[Moved to Photoshop ecosystem by moderator authority]
My Workflow:I work in the shoe sales industry. I use a 1000x1500px PSD file to scale down and position product photos. I then retouch them using Generative Fill, the Remove Tool, and other features. After that a create a copy backup file with all the photos of certain product, delete all the layers and continue with the next one. The source files I import are large (4480x6720px).The Issue:In previous versions of Photoshop (Pre v27), I had no RAM issues and could process a batch of 200 photos without stopping. However, with the new 2026 version (v27), my memory usage hits 90% after doing small batch of about 20-40 photos. Currently, the only solution is to close and restart Photoshop to clear the cache, I can also confirm using v26.7 version of Photoshop (2025) fixes the RAM problem.Troubleshooting attempted so far:Changed scratch disksAdjusted max memory usage in Photoshop settingsReset preferencesUsed Edit -> Purge -> Purge All (this had no effect)My Specs:CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X3DMO
Recently updated to PS 26.1. The app grabs 6GB system RAM upon my opening of a single 8K image and continues to allocation big chunks (15GB, 33GB, etc.) while the app gets slower and slower as a result. 1) did anyone at Adobe test performance impacts before forcing the upgrade on us?2) Is this poor performance considered a bug or a feature?3) I'm not using any of the new fancy features of the update. I'm simply hand editing images.4) Going into Preferences>Performance and capping the app's memory usage to a reasonable amount (~10GB) seems to help the peformance and stop the leak.
I shoot dance recitals every year. I had an older Mac with 16 GB of RAM and had no issues automatically converting thousands of raw files to jpeg automatically once adjustments were made in ACR. My MacStudio with 64GB of RAM keeps running out of memory after about 300 images which is significantly slowing down my processing as I have to babysit the computer to keep the conversions going in a timely manner.I have looked at all the settings and I cannot see where I can fix this issue that seems to have started on the last or the previous update(s).
I think if I ever met the person in charge of PS development I'd probably get arrested. It's the only program that I use that simply hogs memory for no reason and causes my system to grind to a halt. It just sits there with zero files open and zero tasks to do just guzzling memory - I just had to shut it down for the 10th time today as it was hoarding 18GB of memory while doing NOTHING. This has been going on for over a decade. Mind you I suppose it's par for the course from a company that can't even fix the CTRL D (deselect,) problem in over ten years.
i have the non-beta, the normal photoshop., i have the same problem, the generated fill becomes gray, and i cant find where to put the age on behance
Hi, for a few days now, whenever I open and close Photoshop files, I've noticed a gradual decrease in free space on my system disk, which isn't recovered until Photoshop crashes. This is definitely a Photoshop or system issue, as it never happened before and still doesn't happen on my old computer. Has anyone had or has a similar problem? I'm working on an M1 MacBook Pro with Sequoia version 15.6.
Hey all, I recently upgrade from PS2020 to PS25 and aside from ui changes, I've had a shockingly bad memory leak issue crop up. Had a small psd open, 1000x1000, had 6 layers, and have ai features turned off. When i left my computer for the evening, i was using around 10gb of RAM of my total 64GB. When i woke up, i noticed my computer really chugging, which concerned me because it is a beast. Task manager showed i was using an 100% memory. I immediately closed chrome, nothing was released to free up ram, didn't see photoshop explicitly showing high memory usage, so didn't think about it at first. I started closing things down one by one based on the RAM usage in task manager, and nothing worked until i closed photoshop. That immediately released it. Won't be leaving docs open over night any time soon, but would be nice to have this fixed as i don't like resetting up my work space every day. Also generally just want to go back to PS2020 haha. Anyways, system specs in
Hello everyone,I would love to request a feature for Photoshop on PC that is already standard in drawing apps like Procreate and even Adobe's own Fresco: Shape Recognition / QuickShape.Currently, when sketching or drawing digitally in Photoshop, creating quick geometric shapes (like a perfect circle or square) disrupts the creative flow. We either have to switch to the marquee/shape tools or redraw the line multiple times until it looks perfect. It would be amazing if we could just draw a rough shape, hold the pen down for a second, and have Photoshop automatically snap it into a clean, perfect shape. This "draw and hold" feature would make the drawing process much faster and smoother.Thank you for considering this!
I upgraded to Photoshop 27.7 yesterday afternoon and see that the Export>Save for Web interface has been changed. Is it possible to use the legacy interface? In my previous workflow, exporting to a specific width went like this:1. Export>Save for Web (Cmd-Shift-Opt-S)2. Tab 3 times3. Set width4. Save fileIn the new interface:1. Export>Save for Web (Cmd-Shift-Opt-S)2. Tab 16—SIXTEEN—times3. Set width4. Save fileNot a deal-breaker, but I do this hundreds of times a week and have for decades. It’s muscle memory, and whatever has been changed doesn’t matter to me in the slightest.
I have same problem here… zero solution. I tried updating the drivers for my graphics card, processor, and motherboard, but nothing helps.
I’m using the Parametric filter to create a felt applique image. The layer for the image is a smart object. When I add a new JPG or PNG to the smart object to use the filter, I;m getting the error, the material file provided cannot be read.Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this is happening and any way to remedy it?
A while ago, I noticed several new fonts appear in Photoshop which I had not added myself. I wanted to remove one of these fonts (Gigantic regular) because I never use it, but it refuses to budge.I tried removing it via the Adobe Cloud app on my Windows 10 PC. In the app it would display as removed, but was still present in Photoshop. I tried this method several times, but the font would reappear both in the Cloud app and in Photoshop. Today, I noticed that it has disappeared from the Adobe Cloud app, and is displaying as having been removed, yet it is still available in Photoshop. Also, this font does not appear in the Windows font manager. It also shows as not installed on the Abode website where you can browse/add/remove all the available fonts. Can someone please help me remove this font, preferably without deleting all my other Adobe fonts that I use in Photoshop.
The list of printer profiles in the print dialog box is so long as to be cumbersome. If they were all stored in the same folder, it would be possible to delete some, but the dialog seems to pick them up from various locations. Why do we need to have, for instance, ARRI Log C3 Wide Color Gamut or SDTV NTSC profiles in the Photoshop print dialog box? I use fewer than ten profiles on a regular basis, but I need to scroll through this long list to find them. Please make a way to edit/reduce the number of profiles that are visible in the print dialog box.
When working with a document with several masks on different layers that interact with each other through blending modes, I frequently turn the various masks off and on to see the effect of changing different adjustments. This uses up lots of history states, and it would be useful to be able to choose to not have all those Disable/enable mask states in the history.
Hello everyone, Maybe you can help me?I am looking for a way to get pattern fills back into individual data.My idea would be a script that outputs the size of the individual tile of the pattern fill and adjusts the document size on this basis. now you would only have to rasterize and have the individual tile of the pattern fill? What is the best way to implement this? are there any other solutions? Many thanks in advance for your help 🙂
