Photoshop

Hey, I would suggest to make available the mockup editing on photoshop online. It would permit to edit it quickly while needed, especially if we don't have access to a supported device for the app.    I might have missed something, that's possible, but i did not find the feature. On the app we usually double click on the layer so it open a file we can edit to apply it on the mockup. Here, doesn't work. This would be good !   Thank you.

Hi, a very common troubleshooting step that is often recommended in the forum is the recreation of preferences. It helps reset Photoshop to the default state, and quite often fixes problems, would it be done by a problem during the saving of said preferences, or a setting that was improperly changed.   But, sometimes, this step does not cure issues, and users who customized extensively Photoshop doing this step (if they do not follow the manual method described in helpx) will have to recreate their preferences.   Akin to the new beta feature in After Effects, it might be useful to get a Safe boot mode, that would allow one start with the default preferences, but keep the user preferences. As of Photoshop v24, a single click on a material creates a layer in the layer stack. First, this is really unexpected and unlike most UI we are used to, selecting an object should not trigger a generation, especially here a layer, and loading of the sbsar which may take several seconds. This workflow is also inconsistent relatively to the trash icon we can use to delete a custom material. We need to select it first before cliking the trash icon, but since clicking it also create a layer, basically we then need to delete that layer before deleting the material. Please fix this behavior which is not even consistent with its own UI, I'd suggest double-click to apply the material as well as right click with various options (apply, delete etc.)

How do you load and save actions in photoshop beta? I can see a "quick actions" panel but no "actions" panel to import actions or create actions.

Can we have the Color grading panel from ACR as an Adjustment layer in PS? Now if we want to use it not for the raw processing at the beginning, but for the final image after retouching, we have to merge the layers, make a Smart object (to adjust the settings later if needed), open it in ACR... an Adjustment layer would be handy & time-saving 🙂

Hi Adobe PM's and UX, Like all other drawing softwares, photoshop needs a feature to draw straight lines quickly, in a drawing/painting workflow (with graphic tablet).I wonder why photoshop doesn't have it? The Procreate example: We pick a brush, we draw a line, we hold the click, and a straigt line is created (with controled pressure variation). Please, make something this simple... please please please Context and actual solution: Actually, drawing lines in in photoshop is a pain, 1- Holding shift an click is just unusable with a pressure brush (it make a random faded-out brushstroke) And we need it to be controled.2- you have to do someting with the pen tools and fill with the current brush. When i go to add a solid color as a layer, I am unable to since the option is not there. Maybe Adobe could add that as an option?

I thought my experience would transfer easily to the "industry standard software", but it didn't. Not because of a lack of skills, but because of a lack of feature customizations. I've seen posts as old as 8 years old on the topic and yet, nothing has changed.So my request is to implement a feature enabling the remapping of Ctrl/Cmd/Shift/Alt's shortcut presets. Also, a feature enabling the remaping of Ctrl/Cmd/Shift/Alt combination for Tools.I still can't believe people are able to effectiently and rapidly work with this tool in its current state. I work on ships, I teach photography on ships and I edit my photographs - at least I try to - unless the program shuts down if I cannot connect to the internet.  I do have access to the internet every so often - so make a date that we can CHOOSE to connect to the system so those of us without a lot of access can do our jobs!  I just updated my Photoshop apps - and less than a week goes by and I have to connect.  I am luckily with service tonight, but often I am out at sea for a month and I don't have reliable service.  If you want to keep subscribers - let us choose when to make a connection to the mother ship!

My team is looking to simplify our design editing process. We were looking into using the Share for Review link rather than creating our own PDFs. Rather than have the exact functionality of a PDF, we would love to see the link be able to display any animation that was created in the shared Photoshop file using the timeline. This would cut out another step of us having to export it as a GIF to show the animation.

Have a panel inside photoshop from where you can search & add the adobe express templates and assets directly into the photoshop canvas.

It would be a great if it was possible to make tapered brush strokes. I know this is possible with pressure sensitivity, but most of the time strokes still end up not sharp. For example see the image below. I compared Photoshop to Clip Studio Paint (which has a tapered brush feature).  This feature could be implemented as follows:After the mouse/tablet input is released, keep the stoke going under the hovered mouse position untila choosen length is reached. The extended part of the stroke should decrease in brush size until it reaches size 0 at the end. I think this is how CSP implemented it. On the forum I saw a similar request and employees from adobe responded with suggestions to use the fade feature, path stroke or enable pressure sensitivity. But that is not the same.

Having a left handed hotkey to locate and select a layer is invaluable to Photoshop - particularly when a file has over 4 layers in it. The desktop version has understood this, but we are still missing this in iOS. 

I animate in Photoshop for games. I love the functionality of the frame animation timeline, but when i toggle between frames (as you do when animating) the layers used in the animation will be highlighted, but not active and selected. This is extremely frustrating for me as an animator. The Video timeline doesn't seem to have this issue, which goes to show that somewhere out there, someone wanted to make things easier for animators. However, I cannot use the video timeline for my purposes. I know an issue with this proposed functionality is "what if a frame has several layers?" I think the easiest solution is just to pick the topmost layer in the array. If this cannot be implemented, I would love for an angel programmer out there to make a script for it. 

Camera files have outgrown the 5k brush size limit and we desperately need 8k or 10k brush limit.  

As far as I can tell (searched the internet far and wide), Photoshop is completely missing a menu item in the 'keyboard shortcuts' -menu to change the shortcut for "activate a mask". So, normally, to activate a mask on the currently selected layer, you press Ctrl \ (Mac: Command \). This is the same as clicking on the layer mask thumbnail. HOWEVER, there seems to be no way to change this shortcut in 'keyboard shortcuts' -menu (the item is missing).Why would you want to, since there's already a shortcut set??? Well, if like me, you're using a foreign keyboard, then the backlash won't function here. So the only way I could use the original shortcut would be to change my keyboard layout completely to a US keyboard. Please Adobe, add a menu item where this shortcut (Ctrl \) can be altered.

In the French locales, Preset is translated into "Paramètre prédéfini" which means "pre-defined parameter" It creates isssues in some panels and dialogs that have to be very long. Like many others, I'm sure, the company I work for builds email campaign designs in photoshop. We have always used layers straight on the canvas and the crop tool to "splice" (without using the splice tool) images into however many sections necessary. We are working to create a more streamlined process by combining multiple files into one, we are doing this by now utilizing artboards. The only issue we have ran into is that artboards do not allow for the crop tool, or at least in the same capacity as before. When you crop/resize the artboard, you can not see the surrounding area behind a semi-transparent overlay. This would be a small addition that would help us immensely in cropping our designs quicker and more accurately.

Who doesn't know this?  You want to make your own card game or you want to make a mockup design for your own Company this is actually where the "Magnetic Area Tool" comes in handy! As seen on the picture you'd be able to select an area however you want, also be able to reshape it however you want too. Once The Area is selected and you save your file it will create a new layer called "Magnetic Area 01" and on the left will be a tiny Number indicator you won't be able to change the name off you'll see why in a second, you can rename the "Magnetic Area 01" in however you want.  If you upload an image or file onto the "magnetic area" it will AUTOMATICALLY resize itself to the size of the selected "magnetic area" shape you selected.      and WILL squeeze your image into the preferred selected area (the squeezing depends just on how well  you manage your sizes if it has the perfect size for it, you won't squeeze it, and it will just appear on top of the selected ma
