Photoshop Elements

HI,Photoshop Elements newbie here. How do I amend a line drawing logo to have a completely TRANSPARENT BACKGROUND . . . and then enable me colour the remaining line drawing with any colour from the colour palette? Example attached I'm using an iMac with Photoshop Elements 14 Thanks

Ich habe es daraufhin mit dem Deinstaller gelöscht.Nach der Neuinstallation lässt es sich jetzt garnicht mehr öffnen. Es erscheint nur noch die Fehlermeldung „Konfiguration error“, „Error 16“.Hat jemand eine Idee, wie ich Photoshop wieder zum Laufen bringe? Bestenfalls auch im DarkModus?

I have this 'Save for Web' error using Photoshop Elements 2023 with macOS Monterey 12.7.5 on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015)This error like many on this forum have experienced, does not appear to be resolved and I've spent some time looking.I have added Photoshop Elements to Accessibility in the Security and Privacy pert of System Preferences, but this does not resolve the problem.Adobe don't appear to be offering a solution.Any help to resolve this would be appreciated. 

Just started my 30 day trial and already PSE Organiser will not import my .arw files (Sony raw) in to the catalogue. Claims they are corrupt (whch they aren't: Bridge 2024 copes!) or format not recognised.

Hello, I have been using an older version of Photoshop, Elements Essentials  2012 for a number of years, but now its no longer able to be used. There are some functionality issues, so I Uninstalled and tried to reinstall the software, but at Product Key Entry step, I put it in & then says my Product code is Invalid ? Its the code came with, then had to reload few years back & was provided with another newer I guess product key, it reloaded and worked, but later had more issues again now requiring Uninstall, & ReInstallation. Had no idea my Product Key would no longer work on trying to ReInstall the software. Adobe sent me a Zip file of the program to reload since I was a still registerted User and Owner, but there were 'no instructions' of what to do with the Zip File in order to reload and then use the Photoshop Element Essentials 2012 program. So, while I do appreciate being able to access a Zip File of the program to reinstall

in photoshop elements 2024 for Mac, how can I get the apple color picker to work?I like the crayon picker tool, but only the Adobe tool shows up.Older versions of Photoshop Elements gave you the option to use one or the other in settings, butb this version does not seem to. I'm lookng for this (see attached). It wokrs in other applications but not in PSE 2024.

I recently realized when comparing recent backup to an old one that the "date and time taken" was off-set in some photos by 5 or 6 hours (my daylight savings/standard time off-set from GMT). It seemed random initially, two photos taken only seconds apart would have a 6 hour difference in 'time taken' when I look in the "properties" of the actual source file in File Explorer.   Interestingly, looking at the affected photos while in the photoshop browser, or clicking on "show properties" while in photoshop, shows both photos taken at same time (the correct time) even when the source files show an off-set in one of them. In other words, I look at a 2 photos while in Photoshop browser and they are correct with the info under both photos saying 5:30 PM, but the metadata for the file in Explorer shows 11:30 PM for one and 5:30 PM for the other. After some reading, this may have to do with "Writing keyword tags" to file. Good morning.I am running Adobe Elements 2023 Organizer, version 21.0.0, on an M1 MacBook Pro running macOS Sonoma 14.5 with 16 GB memory.  I am able to do a full PSE backup on my Mac hard drive with no problems, but when I try to back it up on an external USB drive PSE crashes when it gets around 90%.  Every time.  The external drive is  a 1 TB Western Digital My Passport SSD connected directly to the Mac via a USB C cable.  When PSE crashes I get the message that Photoshop Elements has quit unexpectedly and I can restart the program or look at the crash report.  The crash report is very long and doesn’t mean much to me, does anyone know what might be happening or how I would go about troubleshooting?-Ken Following are the first few lines of the crash report:-------------------------------------Translated Report (Full Report Below)------------------------------------- Process:               Adobe Elements 2023

In previous versions, when I wanted to move 2 - 6x4 photo s to one 8x10 transparent page, to print two , I would be able to move them where I wanted to, now one goes into the middle, period it won't move. . What am I'm doing wrong, or what step I need to do, to make this work>

 I fill a new blank file with a solid color.I then select a frame - "gringe mask" from the "Graphics" optionand it places it on that new filled file.I now select from another image and want to place the selection intothe frame.This does not work. It seems to "insert" but ... If I move the selection the frame and all move.  I cannot modify the selection in the frameand the frame independently. How can I insert a selection into the frame? How do I do that?

I use Photoshop Elements 2022 and will soon need to uprade my PC.  I am using a Dell XPS 17 laptop running  Windows 10. Looking for recommendations for a Windows 11 replacement, preferably a Dell. Suggestions appreciated!

I am using Photoshop Elements and have resized my photo's to passport size, i.e. 4.5cm x 3.5cm but when I come to upload it to the P & O Cruise on-line check in page it seems way too large and won't fit the area that they have allocated.Am I doing something wrong?  Any help will be much appreciated.  Thank you

My wife has been a long-time PSE user for years. We're on an old version of PSE - version 2018 (I think Adobe might call it version 16).The catalog on the Windows laptop is on the C: drive since it's big enough (1TB) but the thing is so slow, it's painful. The Macbook only has a 256GB SSD. I downloaded a trial version of the newest version of PSE (2024) on both laptops so I could transfer the catalog from Windows to Mac. I have to use an external SSD because the folder created during the backup on the Windows laptop is 300GB. I'm new to the world of Apple Mac laptop. When the SSD is connected and I go to the folder with the backup catalog that I'm trying to restore, click on the "info" for the folder, it takes MANY minutes for it to tell me the size of the folder. Other folders are very quick. I'm wondering if the real problem might be the SanDisk SSD and/or the connection to the Mac may be what's causing it to be so slow (it takes many hours for the catalog to be restor

I'm creating slideshows from a set of travel pictures, all ordered by date old > new, usually 200+ pictures.At the slideshow menu's tmbs view, all all are in the correct (timely) order, but at the slideshow itself: sometimes a pictures is not displayed (but interestingly, the previous picture is displayed with double time!)some pictures are displayed in wrong order (even though they are shown in correct order in the tumbs). E.g. a sequence of say two lake pictures followed by two persons pictures could be displayed lake-person-lake-person....  what off course is not nice in the final slideshow.Detection of skipped or wrong ordered pictures comes out after exporting to mpg4 and reviewing only, what is very boring and time consuming. Has anyone an idea of the reason and a possible workaround?(PSE 2022 on Windows 11, German)

HiNew to Photoshop so please excuse my ignorance.Using background removal on photoshop elements which is great but how do I restore the areas that have been incorrectly removed on the objects.Sure there is an easy touch up or erase but cant seem to find it.Thanks.

Hi all.  Be gentle!! This is my first attempt at photo scanning, restoration and archiving.I have an Epson photo scanner (sheet feed type) with its own limited correction processes.  I also have Adobe Photoshop Elements 2024 on the same laptop to do the more extensive restorations, corrections, facial recognition etc.My query is whether the 2 processes can share the same folder structure (Windows 11) so I can scan straight into the same folder that Adobe can access.  I will also need to import scanned photos from an older computer and would like them all able to be accessed by the adobe software and hence imported into that common folder structure.Thanks,Mike 

I was unaware that we can edit in the Raw Editor, from jpegs.  (go to normal edit - then Alt -Ctl - o, or File - Edit in Raw.)  However, I use Organizer all of the time and it then asks for file name.  What is this?  Any simple way to get to Raw Editor from Organizer with a jpeg, as I would like to try it. Thanks..  

Hi  I cannot download Camera Raw from PSE 2024.Error code 190 is displayed. My operating system (OS) is Microsoft Windows 10 Home (x64) Build 19045.4412.Can you tell me if this OS is compatible with PSE 2024? If this is not the case, what do you advise me to do?Thanks in advanceArnaud

Some stuff I used to know how to do, but things have changed.  I want to cut out the three black bars, then overlay the white marble onto another texture, then combine the two.  When I merge visible, then try to select the black bars with the magic wand, it says I can't because there's no layer selected, but the layer shows selected.

I am trying to transfer my organizer file from one computer to another. My new computer would not support my old orgnaizer program so I updated to 2024. The program crashes everytime I try to restore the file. I run a small business from home and I can't get up and running till this is fixed. PLEASE HELP! 

I bought and installed 3 licenses of PSE 2024 on 3 iMacs. I want to install PSE 2024 on my Mini. Do I just purchase 1 more license?

Thumbnails start disappearing as I am working on a page. If I get out of Photoshop Elements and start over the thumbnails come back and then gradually disappear again. Is there a setting in Preferences or some place in the program that will fix the problem. I have plenty of disk space on my hard drive. I have version 2020 on the same computer and works fine. Thanks in advance

Hi, I opened a PDF file today and I wanted to highlight something in yellow.I clicked on the foreground color square at the bottom left of the screen, then selected yellow in the Color Picker.  I clicked on OK.The foreground color square did not change to yellow.  It remained what I would call a light blue-green.I have used my Photoshop Elements 2024 several times since I bought it.  I don't recall this ever happening before.I learned online that I could click on Images > Mode , and then change the setting to RGB.But when I close the program and open it again, the mode changes back to Grayscale.I want the mode to be RGB every time I open the program.Why did this happen?How do I change the default setting to RGB?  That should be easy, right?I have wasted quite a bit of time on this so far. Thanks in advance,Steve 

New Photoshop Elements 2024 install on MacOS Sonoma 14.5, automatically crashes. The quit unexpectedly error window appears. Can someone please help?
