Photoshop Elements

I am having an issue with the text feature in my 2024 PS Elements that I do not recall ever having with my previous versions of Elements.  I called tech support but the agent was not helpful at all and his instructions did nothing to fix what I percieve as a possible bug. When adding text the result is awful.  I want to use 9pt  size type but the issue happens to some degree no matter what size the type or the font itself.  Letters too close to another, edges not sharp, basically lots of issues.  I was told to play with tracking and leading edge functions but this sometimes help some words but not others. i was then told to try to save the file and export in pdf.  This helps minimally and it is very hit or miss.  In addition this is anniying in that I cannot edit the text once reimported back into Elements. I have even tried to create the text in Acrobat and import it into Elements but it still isn't sharp enough.  Again editing is

I purchased ps el 2024 and installed it on my new Dell xps8960 computer, Windows 11. When I use the cursor, i.e. pencil, there is a low pitch sound when I move the cursor and hold cursor in place. What is going on? And how can I stop the sound?

Is the Auto Curate feature in PSE 2023 limited to 20,000 photos in the ENTIRE catalog or just the current selection? I received a Dialog Box which states "Auto Curate can be applied to a maximum of 20,000 photos." There are only 24 photos in the selection. There are no video files in the current selection. I changed each Preference Selection option, but nothing worked. I've searched the Adobe Knowledge Base without success. I converted MY CATALOG from a previous version (PSE 2020) to PSE 2023, which now also displays the same Dialog Box.

My PC hard drive failed. I installed a new 1 TB HDD, loaded Windows 11, Chrome, Edge, Adobe CC and Adobe Acrobat Reader. I can see my PSE 2019 license when I log into Adobe, but when I try to download it I get an error message that says I need to update my OS, browser and Adobe products. They are all newly downloaded and fully up to date. Any suggestions would be appreciated.Thank you in advance.

Am I able to print just one layer of several layers? If so, what are the exact steps to do that?

I HAD PHOTO SHOP 14 AND TODAY I BOUGHT 2025 AT A COMPUTER STORE, HOW DO I UP DATE MY PROGRAM?  

Several years ago, I upgraded to PSE Version 19.  However, when I have the Organizer open and select "System Info", here is what is displayed:Elements Organizer 17.0.0.0Core Version: 17.0 (20180830.m.125874)Language Version: 17.0 (20180830.m.125874) Why is not Elements Organizer 19 being displayed?  The metadata on all my photos also lists Elements Organizer 17.

I have had to reload my pc, as my hard drive died.  I was able to install PRE 9 without any issues.  However, when I try to install Photoshop Elements 9, I get 'an invalid serial number' message. 

Old laptop had Windows 10; new laptop has Windows 11.  When I open Adobe Elements 2025, no media (photos) was transferred to new laptop.  How do I do this?  

Recently purchased Photoshop Elements 2019 and have not been able to import photos. When importing photos to the organizer I get the message "Elements Organizer does not support the color space in the file..." What can I do to import my photos?

This is ridiculous - I have constant popups on my computer (on and off the internet) trying to get me to buy more Adobe products. I just spent $150 on PSE and Premiere Elements and downloaded them last week.I need to find the option to turn these off...thanks for any help you can give. The Notification Center in my computer settings doesn't have an option for Adobe, and notifications are turned off. You can't sell things by making people mad, by the way. Marketers just don't seem to get it, I never read or click through, or buy anything from popups. I guess they need to keep coming up with this garbage to justify their jobs.

Having recently installed Elements 2025 I'm finding that once it's been opened/used [ I'm using the Editor] there's a file folder (in my Downloads folder) called "mas", but it's always empty. I usually delete it & there appears to be no effects. Why is this being created?  ---Windows 11 Home 24H2

I was wondering, the above, as I am looking to get a new Windows 11 laptop.  My current laptop has a discrete memory and is 8.5 years old and although it is still working I've decided to look for a new laptop, as prices will be going through the roof starting in 2025 and i don't want to chance my current computer tanking. Should I look for discrete or is a standard single GPU fine? So does anybody have any insight into this.  I appreciate your help.  

In a Facebook group I posted this image-- each day is a very basic thing to do/ practice, none of the daily tasks are terribly difficult, but they do make you explore the program a bit.   Many of the tasks have more than one way of doing it- use whatever way you like, but just do it.  I think the average user could do all of these in less than 10 minutes- but it's not really  supossed to be done that way-- One simple task a day.I used a template in Adobe Express.

I have an old copy of Photoshop Elements 8 I would like to use on a new laptop. The serial number shows as invalid when I try to install. I suspect this is because it was installed on an old laptop that has since died, and I was unable to deregister. The Adobe website directed me to live chat as the best support option. After a two hour wait, I was told older versions of software are not supported via live chat, and I was sent here to the forums.So, first, is there someone out there who can reset my serial number as the lovely live chat agent suggested?Second, is there someone out there who could correct the website so the support option offered for ancient versions of software is the forums and not live chat, where wait times are long and estimates inaccurate?Forgive any snark or sarcasm. Waiting on hold for support for two hours and then being told no can be trying.

HelloI am completely new here and have a question regarding Elements and Premiere.I bought a three-year license from "in-download". Something went wrong during or after the activation of the code, so I never saw the .dmg files. However, the code is activated. The supplier in the Netherlands nor the one in France did not respond to my questions. Does anyone have an idea where I could find those files on my iMac?

I recently upgraded to Photoshop Elements 2025 for Mac. In doing so, I lost the ability to use the Metaraw Plugin that fixes chromatic aberration. My question is: do you know of a plugin for Elements 2025 that will defringe chromatic aberration? I can't believe Adobe has never put this feature into Camera Raw when using Elements - so frustrating!!! 

Hi, whilst downloading my photos from a safe card reader I see the question mark appear on every photo i  open? I know what the question mark means but dont know why it has appeared whilst downloading?? Now, ANY photo I open has the question mark? I dont understand as I havnt done anything to any of the new photos. Please help, Im concerned Ive suddenly lost many photos.

We had a power cut for about 30 seconds, and upon restarting and pressing the reconnect button to check all was ok, 8 photos have no link. All from the same day, taken within 1 minute and same subject - a sparrowhawk perched on the bird feeder. The photos are not in the catalog, and the folder has disappeared off the hard disk. I was not looking at these when the power went off. All I have now is 8 photos with the "no link" synbol in the corner. I did a backup last week thankfully but is it possible to just re-install these 8?System is :- Dell Inspiron 3881 running Windows 11 ( updated this week to 24H2), photos on Seagate 5Tb hard disk (external), running PSE Elements 2020 plus updates. The bit I find confusing is that only these 8 have gone AWOL. Reconnect only finds them missing, all others appear correctAnybody got any ideas?John 

I would like to change the canvas extension to white from checkered.I have learned how to add a border around a photo by adjusting canvas size. In that dialogue box, the "canvas extension color" down arrow is not clickable.The color box at the very bottom left currently shows two overlapping white boxes.  Changing either of these two colors has no effect on the border.I am working in RBG mode.Thanks for your help.  Trying to send this photo to the printer....

With Windows 10 being End of Lifed in November 2025 and my current Windows 10 PC from 2017 not being supported on win11, I bought a new PC and had a hell of a time migrating Elements to it. After attempting to restore and then Update ACR correctly and at the correct time during the process, I created a fairly clean step by step procedure. I did not find this documented anywhere. So I want to type a Greek word with a custom font I downloaded. But when I type in Greek it automatically sets it to Sangoe UI regular. I have Photoshop Elements 21.0 . Please someone help me!
