Photoshop Elements

I am just about to upgrade from Elements 2014 to 2018. It looks great. I am a long time user of Photoshop, Elements and Premier, but not the organiser.  I am considering using the Elements 2024 organiser for my files. I currently have 373,000 images on an external hard drive with duplicate files. I also have a backup of the files on other external drives. I have every format of file on the drive including RAW files .  I use other programs such as FastStone image viewer to view and move pictures around at the moment and 'Everything' to find files. I did use Picasa back in the day and really liked the facial recognition, which organiser has. That is the feature I would find really useful. I am concerned that Elements organiser will not be able to handle such a large catalogue with duplicate files. Does elements just create a catalogue of image locations. If it physically moves the images. Then it's not for me. I also use Acronis True image for 'C drive' backup and Bitdefender a

I recently took several shots within a few minutes of each other. Two of them appear damaged when viewed in the PSE Organizer and Editor, but look fine in Windows File Explorer and the Fast Stone viewer. Does anyone know what's going on? The second shot is totally covered in vertical magenta lines..

I recently installed Photoshop Elements 2024. When I double-click on an image or do an “Open with Photoshop Elements 2024,” it takes me to Photoshop Elements but the photo doesn't open. I can only get the photo to open if I open it from Photoshop Elements through File => Open.

After using Elements successfully for years, it has started getting weird. First, the Organizer doesn't recognize my camera easily and I have to keep restating the program. Second, after photos have successfully been loaded into the Organizer, they don't show up in the Photo Editor anymore! I can get around the problem by selecting the edit option on the photo in the Organizer , but it takes much longer. After all these years of success! Why has something changed?

I am converting thousands of slides to digital .pdf’s on to a thumb drive. I then move them to a folder on the C:\ drive to be imported into Organizer.  My steps are:Import > From files and folders > Get Photos and Videos from Files and Folders  > select the desired images to import  >  ?? What is the difference between “Get Media”  and “Open” ?? SECOND QUESTION:After importing dozens of images into a variety of folders I get to the last set of images and get an error message:  “18 media files were skipped because they are already present in the catalog” with a list of the files skipped.When I do a search within Organizer it finds the images but does not indicate where they are located so that I can then move them to the desired folder.?? How do I find an images file location within Organizer ??

Guten Morgen, nachdem letzte Woche bei meinem Laptop die Festplatte kaputt ging , lies ich eine neue Festplatte installieren. Nun habe ich folgendes Problem: Da ich meine Photoshop Elements 13 Software nicht auf der alten Festplatte abmelden konnte, ist es mir auch nicht möglich PS auf der neuen Festplatte zu installieren. In Foren habe ich gelesen, das ich mich an den Adobe Support wenden sollte. Über den Adobe Support (KI) bin ich nicht wirklich weiter gekommen. Es wäre noch zu erwähnen, das die Software auf CD ist (mit Seriennummer). Kann mir hier vielleicht jemand einen Tip geben wie dieses Problem gelöst bekomme? I have a friend who is going to buy Elements 25, I am going to help him with this. Does Elements include the Bridge app and also is camera raw incuded with this version of Elements? Thanks

In an attempt to clean up some incorrect Windows file associations I have uninstalled all PSE versions and Bridge. I then reinstalled Bridge and PSE 2022. It looks like this went well except for one action. When I double-click on a file that is supported by PSE i.e. .JPEG, the Editor opens. I want the Organizer to open instead. How do I set the associations so the Organizer opens? As you may know, the process to manipulate file associations on Windows 10 has become insanely complicated. I'm hoping there is an PSE or Adobe process focused on just the types supported by PSE.

Wenn ich Fotoabzüge aus dem Organizer drucke, werden seit neuestem die Fotos nach links und nach oben verschoben gedruckt. Der Druck wird korrekt bei Druck aus dem Editor.Gibt es Abhilfe?

My healing brush displays the circle, but not the area selected once I click it. No way to position/align the selection on the area to be mended. Same with brush - no visible selection, just the circle. Caps lock is off, brush/cursor set to normal brush. This may be another result of an accidental click/command but I have not been able to find it. 

I got a CD-ROM version of Photoshop Elements 2019, but my computer does not have a CD drive. It's brand new and never been installed on another computer. How do I install it? Where can I find a link to download it and use the serial number for the version I have?Thanks in advance.

Guten Tag, ich habe Photoshop Elements 14 auf dem Laptop und Photoshop Elements 18 auf dem Desktop. Die Bilder und Backup mit Sicherungsdatei liegen auf der externen Festplatte und sind von dort mit dem Laptop verknüpft. Nun möchte ich gerne mit PsE 18 vom Desktop aus ebenfalls auf die ext. Festplatte zugreifen und die Bilder mitsamt den Tags dort verknüpfen und ebenfalls bearbeiten und organisieren.Ist das möglich oder werden bei der Verknüpfung des Desktops die Verknüpfungen auf dem Laptop gelöscht?

When I upgraded to Elements 2024 I didnt realise that AutoSync was switched on thus I have synched files in Adobe's Cloud.  I do not want anything in Adobe's cloud but I ama/ Unable to stop thy synching process even though i have in preferences unticked the sync optionb/ Do not know how to 'bulk' reposses my photos back to their original place on my external Hard DriveAlso, now when importing from my camera, if I choose the SD card, the organiser automatically it seems, created an SD Folder and therefore I am seeing 3 sets of the same photo, one cataloged as on my external drive, one on the folder created on my system hard drive and one on the Adobe cloud.For all intents and purposes Elements Organiser 2024 is more a dis-organiser whose sole aim seems to be to duplicate at all costs.  By the way, I've run out of sync space and its offering me more of what I dont want......is this the reason?  Well hacked off with Adobe.

I have just purchased Elements and Premier Elements 23 ... Premier Elements is fine, but the scaling or visual on screen size of Photoshop is either to small to use or oversized. I have tried changing 'User Interface Scaling' but there are only 3 options: 100% is tiny and 200% is oversized - Automatic give the same as 200%. I have tried changing the display settings, but the results just dont work. This is really frustrating. Anyone got a solution - PLEASE?

Helllo Gals and Guys -  I have Photoshop Elements 2021 intalled on a couple Macs running macOS 15 and two Windows PCs - one running Windows 10 and Windows 11 for the other.  A few days ago my PC with Windows 10 did a large update, but none of the other computers have prompted me to update.  Is this normal? Secondly, when I close Photoshop and reopen it, if I'm using the clone stamp tool it does not have the panel at the bottom showing so you can change to the pattern stamp or the size of the cursor.  I have to slick another tool then go back to the panel to show up.  Is there some way I can fix this?  Thanks for any help.

Can anyone shed any light on this issue please? When I checked the Adobe website, it suggested that these files should be able to be opened in PSE 2024...Thanks

I un-installed Elements 11 from my computer as I needed more space, and I only edit in Elements 15 & 23 now, but now when I try to open images from Bridge into ACR I get an error message because it can't find Elements 11 anymore. Is there any way to get images to open in ACR from Bridge with only Elements 15 & 23 on my computer?

Ich habe aus Platzgründen die Installation auf Laufwerk C deinstalliert und dabei vergessen zunächst die Produktregistrierung abzumelden. Nach der Neuinstallation auf einem anderen Laufwerk kommt nur noch die Meldung gemäß Anhang und ein Öffnen des Programmes ist nicht mehr möglich. Es sind keine Installationen auf anderen Rechnern vorhanden.Wer kann mir weiterhelfen?

Hi I purchased a smart file (PSD).When I double click on the smart layer icon, it wouldn't open. I have tried to add my design to the smart layer but it isn't wrapping around the mug. When I tried doing it in photopea it's working quite well.can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong please?

Help!I have a message 'No media available. Please clear applied filter and try again.'As far as I am aware there are no 'applied filters' and no selected albums or tags. What is the problem'

Hello yuo wise people! Hope you can help. Just updated my 2022 to 2024 version. Converted the Catalogue but now 2024 Organizer doesn't find pics with a selected tag. It only shows 20 pics but there is hundreds of them with that tag.In 2022 version everything works fine. Didn't uninstall that yet.

Go here to begin the process of installing ACR 17.0 for PSE 2025- no reason to manually do so anymore. https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/release-note/update.html This is what it looks like when the update process to ACR begins.  It shut down the program before this part started-  it did ask if I wanted to save my open canvases- no worry about losing works in progress. 

Since the 2025 version has a time limit (3 years), I wonder if this includes major updates (e.g. 2026, 2027)? Or will we only get minor updates 2025.xxx? What do you think?
