Photoshop Elements

Bought Elements 2024 as an upgrade to 2021 and replaced a stand-alone Photoshop 2020. The Windows version is a disaster. Basic things do not work - for example, Organizer windows are maximized and cannot be resized. Very slow to respond and half the time the menus do not respond at all. Seems like something that was not finished and tested on Windows.I bypassed the organizer and loaded an image directly to the editor in order to try the Colorizing filter. In Photoshop, the neural version creates very nice color images with colors assigned intelligently (for example, lips are red). The Elements 2024 version does not get even close.And, as typical for Adobe, there is no technical support whatsoever. You are on your own. No way to cancel the purchase and get the money back.My computer is a high-end machine that handles the full Photoshop beautifully.

I have 5 or more photos that need the same series of edits. Is it possible to save the edit on one photo and apply them to others in photoshop elements 2024?  Please respond.  I have several 1000 photos to edit and I really need to speed up the process.  Thanks

Obwohl neuere Versionen vorhanden sind erscheint unter der Button unter HILFE/UPDATES in Grau. Version 24.0 ist frisch installiert und keine Tools deaktiviert. Wie bekomme ich die neuesten Updates ?  

I recently upgraded from the Canon R5 to the R5 MkII.    I have Photoshop Elements 2021 which supported raw files from the R5.   Will Photoshop Elements 2024 support the MKII or do I have to wait for the 2025 version.

I have found a Youtube video showing how to create a virtual twilight photo using an older version of Photoshop Elements. I see that they are using tools that I have not found in the 2024 version. 

Many years ago I had software that converted slide shows but I lost it.  When I search the web to find a replacement I am snowed by information that I do not need but not what I need.  I want to share some of my slide shows with family and also watch the slide shows on my larger screen TV with others.  Can you suggest a safe and simple software that will do the job.  Does Adobe have such a product?  It has to be easy to use as I am in my upper 80's.Bob

I recently upgraded to PhotoShop Elements (PSE) 24 from version PSE version 22 about a month ago.  My previsous version 22 was stable and rarely if ever experienced issues.  Version 24 is just awful!  Everytime I use the Photo Editor - and I don't mean the blue screen of death,  the entire computer shuts down instantly and reboots (no screen).  I'm getting tired of having to restart my computer everytime I use PS Elements 24.  I've deleted and reinstalled the Photoshop Elements 24three times - but still no fix.   I also purchased Premier 24 with PSE 24 but elected not to install it as well because it was also having stability issues. I'm running the lastest version of Windows 11, all updates installed, latest version of Adobe Photoshop Elements 24, with RAW.   I ran sfc /scannow - no errors.  I have a GeForce GTX 3070 GPU installed if that matters.  The computer operates satisfactory with all other installed programs

I have upgraded from Photoshop Elements 11 to Photoshop Elements 24.  PSE11 is on an old computer running Windows 10.  PSE24 is on a new computer with Windows 11.  PSE11 wouldn't load onto the new computer.  How do I get the catalog from PSE11 into PSE24?  I have a back-up of the PSE11 catalog on an external HDD as well as copies of the catalog folders on another HDD.  My photos have been copied to the new computer but are sitting on a C:\ drive whereas they were on a D:\ drive on the old computer but the folder structure has been retained.  Are the catalog folders from PSE11 compatible with PSE24?

I bought a new PC after total loss of my old one.I could not deactivate my PSE 2020 on my old one.Now the new one will not recognise my serial number of my licenceWhat can I do to solve the problem?

I'm trying to restore a catalog that simply disappeared (along with the Photoshop Elements app). I get this error (attached below) when trying to restore my catalog. I don't know what to do as it doesn't make sense to me since my computer is only 1 1/2 yrs old. Can anyone advise? Thank you.Francis

I buyed many years ago Adobe Photoshop Elements 6. I transferred it on different HW reentering the s/n up to now without problems. Now due to crash on my last hw I tryed to reinstall it on Win 11 but the s/n seems to be invalid.Any suggestion is appreciatedM. Bifani   

When I try to open Photoshop Elements 2023 (Mac version) a box appears with a message stating "Photoshop Elements 2023 wants to make changes.  Enter your password to allow this."  I enter my password and nothing happens.This problem suddenly appeared.  I have been using PS Elements 2023 for four previous months without a problem.I have tried to Uninstall.  I enter my password for permission, but nothing happens.

Puis un jour, Adobe m'a retiré cette licence !!!Bien entendu, ancienne boite ou CD jetés, donc pas le choix, faut payer une nouvelle licence.Je paie, je télécharge.Bien sûr, pas comptatible avec mon vieux Mac ! Pas grave, je'ai un jeune MacBook, ça marche.Et puis tellement pratique de faire du Photoshop sur un petit écran !! 😞 Bref, sur cette nouvelle version, dès que je veux écrire, ça devient n'importe quoi.Impossible d'écrire par exemple " 123 avenue Victor Hugo". Systématiquement, ça devient "Avenue Victor Hugo 123" !!!!!!J'ai chagé les paramètres de pays, etc, RIEN N'Y FAIT !!! HELP !!!!Merci de m'avoir lu !

Does anyone know of a relatively simple way of creating a sepia version of any photo in Photoshop Elements 2024?

Hello, I am rather new to Photoshop and am working on creating my first Action. The desired outcome would be:Open an Image (we'll say a silhoutte of a dog)Add another image to the document (we'll say a glitter pattern)Add a clipping mask to the glitter pattern to mask it onto the dogSave the finished project as a PNG I've followed a few tutorials and when I follow the steps to create the Action, the clipping mask and saving the file work just fine. However, when I run the Action on several images (via Automate>Batch) , I run into a few errors. One, it repeatedly opens the original design that I used to record the action (IE the dog) and resaves it each time PS opens a new image from the designated Batch folder. Two, It does not add the clipping mask to the new designs that are in the Batch folder; it only resaves them as they already are (so just a silhoutte, no glitter clipping mask). And finally, it saves the design as a PS file, not as a PNG even though I added that to the A

Ich möchte im Organizer andere Dateitypen - am liebsten alle - als nur Fotos und Videos sehen. Insbesondere die Premiere Elements .PREL Projektdateien. Und natürlich auch PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.Ist das möglich?

New WIN 11 laptop and I purchased Photo Shop Elements 2024. When I try to open it I receive a licensing error 213:10

Hallo,in Photoshop Elelements Organizer 2024 ensteht bei nachträglicher Änderung des Bildformats (z.B. von 3:2 auf  16:9 oder umgekehrt) ein Versatz bei der Anzeige der erkannten Person. Auch wenn vorher das Bildformat geändert wurde, passiert bei der Funktion "Person manuell hinzufügen" das gleiche.Ist das Problem bekannt oder gibt es eine Abhilfe? 

Hola a tod@sEn Photoshop Eldements2024 no puedo abrir archivos en formato RW2 procedentes de una Lumix S5MK2X cuando intento hacerlo en grupo/lote.  No tengo ningún problema si los abro de uno en uno, con la molestia que eso supone. Tambien puedo abrir en lote archivos raw procedentes de otra cámara o en formato jpg.Cuando intento abrirlos en lote, se boquea la aplicación y debo cerrarla con el Administrador de Tareas. La única solución que he encontrado es proceder a instalar de nuevo Camera Raw antes de intentar abrirlos, detectando la aplicación que ya existe una versión de esa extensión y acabando muy rápido la instalación.Alguien sabe a que puede ser debido?.  Muchas gracias. 

I am trying to restore my catalog from the auto backup.  I browse for where the auto backup is, at C:/ProgramData/Adobe/.../, then find the backup catalog, which is named with a string of alphanumeric characters.  When I click on that name in the Adobe restore dialog box, nothing happens.  The backup file location still is blank, and I am prompted to browse again.  So how do I restore that catalog?

I have followed instructions given by a chat agent yesterday to back up my current 2020 catalog and then, in the 2024 version, convert to that catalog per screen shot below. While the file I converted is correctly named, the actual convert only included photos through 2019. When I looked to see what was listed that was already converted, it was an old catalog from photoshop 11. I can't spot any way to locate the current 2020 catalog so I can convert it. Hoping someone can help. See screen shots below--again, even though the 2020 catalog name matches that in my 2020 Elements, the conversion picks up the old Elements 11 catalog. 

Photoshop Elements 2024.  I haven't used Photoshop Elements since #10 came out.  SO, I'm a bit rusty.  This is what I want to do:  I have a photograph of a granite faced mountain.  I want to put the image of someone's face onto that mountain. I have already transfered the person's face to the photo of the mountain.  Now, I need to change the color of the face to match the color/texture of the granite mountain.  I want to make it look like the person's face is carved into the mountain.I've searched the Youtube vids, but can't find anything that's specific to my task.   I have the Elements 10  "Missing Manual" book and it discusses uses the Eyedropper Tool.  Can I get more specific step-by-step instructions?  thanks!

I have a new high spec Windows 11 PC and been using PS Elements 2021 for a while on it. I installed Premiere Elements 2018 today. The two applications are not linked like they used to be on my old Windows 10 PC. From organiser in PS Elements 2021 I select a video to be edited I get this message Its like PS Elements 2021 does not recognise Premiere Elements 2018 has already been installed. Am I missing something? 

Using PS Elements 2024. When I paint in a layer mask I can choose the transparency. Typically I might select say 50% or whatever.  Now I want to use the brush tool to paint an area with multiple strokes and want to keep the maximum transparency at 50% Is there a way to do this in PS Elements? As soon as I let go of the mouse the brush will start to paint over the previously painted area.  So Unless I can do it all in one stroke I cannot succees. I want to paint in a specific area with multiple strokes to max out at a specific transparency.  Typically i might miss a part and need to use multiple strokes to fill in the holes.  Your advice would be appreciated. Kind regardsChris
