Hey guys!I saw a really cool text transition in a Minecraft video (0:20)And I'm trying to recreate it. The creator mentioned they only used Premiere Pro and After Effects for their editing workflow. The effect is a fast camera fly zoom to the sky where a 3D text (like "INTRODUCING") appears in the middle of the screen, perfectly locked in place with zero jitter.I tried using the 3D Camera Tracker in After Effects, and also tried 2D tracking (Position + Scale), but because of the repeating Minecraft textures and the fast camera rush, the text constantly jitters, shakes, or the tracker points just slide off the blocks. How is this transition actually made? What is the proper, clean workflow in Premiere or AE to get that rock-solid, smooth look without any shaking? Thanks in advance!
My computer has 32.0 GB RAM but I often see 92% of RAM is used when I worked with certain Ae. I wish to increase the RAM. Is 64 GB enough for Ae or I have to go for 128 GB.
Hey there, I updated my AE and my User Animations presets are gone. Is there any way to recover them? Cheers,Rui
Has anyone figured this out yet? I am in ACEScg, I have to use a brand colour given to me by a client. R255 G79 B64 #FF4F40This is supposed to be the method to make it work. It doesn’t. Why is there not a simple solution for this? Maxon made it happen in C4D. The maths must convert somehow, but how?
WARNINGI recently purchased an expensive new Mac Studio M4 for my work as a motion graphics artist. specs PROCESSOR AND GRAPHICS 065-CGWJ M4 MAXWITH 16C CPU, 40C GPUMEMORY 065-CGWP 64GB UNIFIED MEMORY I needed a reliable, powerful main machine for my work having previoulsy been using a 2017 Imac which has been great for the past 7 years, but started to slow down noticably in the past year or so. I have been using the new Mac Studio machine over these past 2 weeks for some important element 3d/4k work which I began on my old machine. Unfortunately I have been plagued with constant freezes, crashes and GPU memory failures when attempting to render even png sequences from After effects desite paying extra for 40 cores of GPU . . . .(see attached images) I have never seen these errors appearing on any project on the much older and less spec 2017 imac in all the years of intense After effects work i put it through, And, moreover did not expect to see err
Hello,I am using Adobe After Effects 2026. I am unable to see the dropdown menu for changing the mask mode (e.g., Add, Subtract, etc.) on the 'Mask 1' line of my layer. Can you help?
Just seems like an easy win when people keep asking for it. It's just basic functionality really.
On the project I am working on I used the auto tracing along with the generate stroke effect on the hands of the logo. I notice the tracing isn’t as clean as I would like and the lines aren’t dark enough for me to properly see them. I changed the size of the pixels and the brush hardness.
The MIR effect doesn’t work for me. Every time I apply it, the whole comp goes dark and I get this error: “After Effects error: MIR: OpenGL error: Could not allocate texFBO (glFlush()) (512) (25::241)”. This only happens with MIR. Other Trapcode effects like Particular and Tao work fine.I’ve already tried reinstalling different AMD driver versions (clean installs), reinstalling Windows, installing OpenGL compatibility packs, and using older versions of the plugin and After Effects. Nothing helped.I use a single monitor, my GPU is an RX 580 8GB, and my CPU doesn’t have integrated graphics. Other effects that use OpenGL work normally. Tech support told me there have been issues with AMD drivers, but if that was the case, old versions should have worked — and they don’t.I don’t know what else to try. Has anyone run into this and found a solution?
Hello, Im trying to open in after effects 24.6.2 a file from 24,0 but I´m getting the following error message. Is there any chance that I can open? I have the same problem with all files. Thanks!
I'm experiencing what appears to be a VRAM memory leak in Adobe After Effects. When working on a project, GPU VRAM usage gradually increases over time, especially when repeatedly adjusting effect properties or previewing the composition. The VRAM is not properly released, eventually reaching the full 16 GB capacity and causing After Effects to crash due to running out of GPU memory. What's strange is that even after closing the project, the VRAM usage remains high instead of being released. The only reliable way to free the VRAM is to completely close After Effects. Here's what I've already tried:- Purging all caches- Switching the renderer to Mercury Software Only- Reinstalling the GPU driverThe issue still occurs. I have also observed similar VRAM behavior in Premiere Pro.My system:- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT (16 GB VRAM)- CPU: Intel Core i5-14400F- RAM: 48 GB- Windows 11 25H2- After Effects version: 26.3Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Is this a known problem with After Effects,
I'm trying to find an effect that is equal to Flip Horizontal.I want the objec to flip from one side of the screen to the other. What Effect can I use for this?
When I hit play, it starts playing after 2 seconds or so when I use the Studio Display XDR speakers. If I change the speakers to MacBook Pro speakers or my audio interface, the latency goes away.
Dear all,I am hyper-new to After Effects but I could not refuse this job as it is for a friend so I need to learn this and just do it! I have gone through all of the ‘Learn’ in-app tutorials but, regardless, I am stuck. The project is about animating music notation transformation over a musical score. The process is therefore something like this:prepare the notation file in the music notation program export it in SVG (or PDF, but I prefer to work in SVG, unless you think PDF is better for this) import SVG in Illustrator (Ai), adjust the colours and layers (every object that needs to be moved on its own layer as instructed). animate in After Effects (Ae)Now, since the Ae canvas is in 1920x1080, I’ve created an Ai document with an dartboard of the same size and imported the SVG in it. I manipulated it as needed, then saved it as an .ai file. In Ae, I’ve created a new project, then pressed Cmd-I to import, selected the .ai file and, from the dropdown, changed the type to ‘Composition - Re
Mi pc no soporta la ultima version, tengo una i core 7 de segunda generacion con una tarjeta nividia 960 drr4,me dice q probando un after effect mas antiguo de la version 23 me puede servir, como puedo conseguir esas versiones antiguas??
Whenever I click the dropdown to change the font for text, it glitches, won't let me, and says that error, "After Effects warning: cannot create font [insert font]" (a few different fonts have been cited). I'm by no means talented with this software, I'm a Premiere woman, but I've tried all the basics. Trash preferences, clear cache, new project, restart AE, restart computer, etc. Is anyone familiar with this error?
I undocked the Lumetri window because I wanted to drag it to the right side of the screen (it appeared on the left). I positioned it where I wanted, but as you can see, the window doesn't have a "dock window" option, so now I still have a separate window.

the problem started with me changing the all the files from C: drive to another drive, not only did it lost its application logo, but also frequently crashes when trying to mask, the masking feature only has box select and not auto or custom part select, is this problem beacause i moved the file from the C: drive to E: drive, both the drives are of the same nvme and are only seperate beacuse of partation, so why does it glitched so much
I use AE on a few different client machines as well as my own. On ONLY one of those client machines, every time I use “Increment and Save” the new file drops the leading zeros in the version number. For example MyProject_v001.aep increments to MyProject_v2If I “SaveAs” MyProject_v002 and repeat “Increment and Save” the new project is MyProject_v2.All of these machines are on Version 26.3.0. My first thought was there’s a new setting (since it’s never done this in 20 years of using AE). I checked nothing I could see.Any ideas? Not critical but frustrating.Thank you
I’m pulling my hair out trying to understand how they eased this in a way that it was FAST > SLOW (for a long time without stopping) > FAST again. Can someone please explain or show me what these curves look like? Any suggestions appreciated. https://www.dropbox.com/t/zO8AHqCDceEZO75Y
I am editing a personal project where some of my source clips are Instagram videos I saved from my own account using a downloader tool called Snapinsta.ink, and when I bring them into After Effects the quality drops compared to how they looked on Instagram, especially in fast motion parts where compression artifacts show up. My footage is mostly 1080p mp4 going into a 1080p 30fps composition, and I wanted to ask if there are better import or interpret footage settings for handling compressed social media clips, whether changing field order helps, and if there is a safe way to sharpen or color correct this kind of footage without making it look overprocessed. Would appreciate any tips on the right workflow for prepping social media sourced clips before editing.
I try to open AE but 2 things happen:1. GPUSniffer.exe brings up an error.2. When renaming GPUSniffer.exe so it bypasses it, the startup screen gets stuck on "initializing MediaCore" Here is a screenshot of what my Task Manager shows:8 instances of GPUSniffer.exe openPC Specs:CPU: AMD 7950X3DGPU: AMD RX 9070 XT I have tried everything possible. I searched the forums and even used Claude for troubleshooting but nothing works.EXTRA INFO: If it makes any difference, this started while I had AE open and went away from the PC, and it entered sleep mode (not total sleep, just the screens and lights turning off)
I am tired , After Effects does not use my GPUFew Months Ago everything was working fine in after effects , it was using my gpu and performance was very good but all of a sudden one day it stopped using my gpu and renders that used to complete in 15 mins are now taking 5 -4 hours and sometimes crashing in between , i have literally tried every possible fix on the internet . disabled integrated gpu, updated drivers , set up graphics setting for highest performance nothing is working , please help , it was working few months ago , now i dont know what happened .
What does work though is playing/previewing the animation. But the second I stop the preview it goes blank again and I can’t edit anything. When I mean anything I mean everything I try to import. I’ve tried editing a plethora of Preference settings, Image settings, trying new images to import, image settings, composition settings, I’ve tried downgrading my AE, I’ve also tried downgrading and switching my drivers to studio drivers but nothing changes.
